I say YES to the Pokemon Theme, because really...who hasn't heard it? (Even if you don't want to.) It's also terribly catchy. I'm even singing it now just from reading the name! I'm very happy to do graphics, as lyrics aren't my strong point, but it might be a nice idea if someone did the main verses and everyone came up with the lyric that included themselves? Or perhaps we could do a lyric for each other, sort of like a team-bonding thing?

She bit her tongue to keep from lashing back at him, and then her bottom lip to stop the trembling she could feel threatening at the corners of her mouth. She would not give him the satisfaction of crying because of something that came from his stupid mouth. She was almost at the end of her tether, having to put up with his remarks twice in one day. It wasn't a happy situation to be in, and the redhead folded her arms protectively to try and put up a barrier. Her ears were burning and she resisted the urge to rub clean the one he had assaulted with his breath. Ginmaru merely scoffed, seeing she wasn't going to amuse him any more by trying to fight him, if only verbally. He turned his back to her and started to shoulder his way through the crowd, swords bumping and thudding annoyingly. "You're not one to talk about being useless!" Imi shout out him suddenly, her fists going down to her sides. Clenched, trembling. She thought she should stuff one in her mouth to stop herself before she went too far. "Your own father sees you as trash! Useless, Zensei trash! That's what you are, you bastard. Do you hear me?!" It was too late. The damage was done and as Ginmaru's head whipped around in anger, and Imi saw the flash in his eyes, she almost let out a cry of terror, her arms coming up defensively just before he threw himself onto her, the pair falling into the crowd and knocking against feet and legs. She cried out as his fist connected with her ear and saw bright spots of light explode before her eyes. She tried to bring her arms up again but another blow hit her. Deadly accurate, full of rage, but having a sloppiness Imi could have laughed at noticing. Usually so perfect, Ginmaru... she thought. Why don't you use your sword? She barely noticed as hands came down to tug at the boy on top of her, his fists still raining blows down on her. Above the ringing in her eardrums she could barely hear him shouting, something about never speaking his family name that way again. And never talking about his father. No, Imi guessed, she really shouldn't have. Though she knew already that it would be a mistake she could easily make again.

Perhaps a musical? Lawl. Well, what's there to say. Many of you already know my name's Jamie, but I like being called 'Zeke so stick with that if you like. My strengths are making graphics and creative writing, but I'll try my hand at anything really. I like fantasy novels and anime (dur) and I'm curretly in my first year of college (UK, not America). I've also only just got out of bed so can't think of much else to say, but there's me in a nutshell. Thanks so much for taking me on board!

Name: Fortescue Smythe Age: 19 Appearance: [link] Resistance: Validus Weapon: The swords pictured with him are the only weapons Fortescue has ever relied on. He doesn't like naming inanimate objects, so will only refer to them as 'his swords'. He finds naming things that could never call you 'master' an unnecessary bond. Spells:
Raidon's Song [Defensive]- The spell is a mixture of Raidon's natural abilities and Fortescue's ability to tap into the almighty power of thunder. With a high pitched screech, Raidon can shatter anything fragile which, more often than not, includes an opponent's ear drums. To back his partner up, Fortescue can create an almighty clap of thunder to distract and disorientate. Ice Ringer [Offensive]- Using the power of ice and water combined, Fortescue can create a swirling circle of water around his target, freezing it at will to lock them in place. Usually, the ice will shatter after a few seconds, taking the one trapped inside with them. Blade of the Elements[Weapon Support]- Fortescue made sure his blades were made of the finest metal, even going so far to have seals placed on them so they could stand against intense temperatures. He can either use his ice magic to create a layer around the blade, or to lengthen it. Conversely, he can have Raidon breathe fire on the swords to make flames dance along to edge, using the intense heat to cut through the strongest of metals.
Personality: Fortescue is brash and hot-headed, seeing himself as a person who has every right to be after what he was put through in life. Born to peasants in a large family, of which he was the oldest child of seven, Fortescue never experienced the luxuries or advantages others had. He was not educated properly until he was discovered to have a natural talent for swords and military strategies at the age of 15. He tries hard to separate duties from play, and despite the kindest efforts of others he won't let anyone in close. He still supports his family as best he can, and will visit whenever he has the chance. It's almost as if he puts all his positive energies into keeping them happy. He is energetic, to boot, and is more content when doing something, whether it be training or helping people in need. Despite his attitude to fellow Riders, he likes helping out those not so fortunate. He enjoys being with Raidon and trusts him wholly, knowing that the dragon and himself share a bond he couldn't ever find with anyone else. Quick to anger, and quick to act upon his emotions, Fortescue still shows signs of immaturity the other members of the resistance will often scold him for. His arrogance shows through often, which has been his downfall on more than one occasion. However, despite his 'attitude' and apparent dislike for fellow Validus, Fortescue is loyal and would put his life on the line for any other rider or dragon without even thinking, even if he wouldn't ever let them forget it afterwards. He constantly jokes that if he ever dies for one of them, he'll come back to haunt them and drag them to the grave with him. Dragon Name: Raidon Colour: Green Appearance: [link] Personality: Raidon is a contrast to Fortescue's annoying habits and personality quirks. He is soft spoken and treads carefully, something that is a constant annoyance to his young rider. He reminds the boy that he is far, far his superior, and if he doesn't calm down he'll have to learn how to fly himself pretty quickly. Soft at heart and always willing to listen to problems and complaints, Raidon is almost like Fortescue's teacher or grandfather. While the boy has never expressed his love for the dragon, he feels it when they fly and in those moments are exactly aligned. He hopes that some of his gentleness will rub off on Fortescue, but can't help but wonder if the boy would be as interesting if that ever did happen. Despite this kind side, though, a battle will change everything. While still carefully calculating, Raidon is a fierce opponent with skills in battle honed far further than his young rider. Raidon won't always take orders from Fortescue and sometimes goes his own way, something that the young man finds annoying but, possibly even more frustrating, is that his dragon is always right. They share a bond far more than close friends, and Raidon often finds it hard to comprehend that Fortescue is only a human, and a mortal one at that. The thought of losing him, whether in battle or through old age, is something that truly terrifies him. Bio/Snippet: Fortsecue looked out into the expanse of sky, the dirty ground beneath him a comforting sense of being and esitence. He liked solid things and the way they connected, and the way they told him he wasn't going to fall and fall and... He reached out a hand to rest it on Raidon's giant muzzle, the dragon opening one seemingly ageless eye to glance at the young man. His hair was out of the braid and spilled over his bare chest and shoulders, wavering only slightly when the warm breeze picked up. "You like it up here, don't you?" Raidon asked, his voice much like the rumble of distant thunder. Fortescue turned his head, smiling softly and nodding in response. "I like how I can see nearly everything," he remarked, chuckling softly, "And not feel as though I might plumet to my death." Raidon shook his mighty head, which Fortescue, while alarmed at first at the action, had come to know as his expression of a laugh. Only a snort escaped the dragon's cracked lips though, and he joined the rider in looking out across the forest and grasslands. "You know I would never let you fall, young fool." Fortescue raised his eyebrows and punched the dragon softly in the neck, gaining a swift tail to the back of the head. He liked it when the pair could be alone like this, it was one of the few times he felt as though he could let his guard down and relax, be himself again. The other riders made him nervous, and despite Raidon's urgings he never foud the guts to show his true colours. Perhaps one day he would...and perhaps someday he'd learn to fly without his dragon. [strike]I will have this done before Tuesday, but my muse is running low x_x Let me know of any problems~[/strike] Done~

Episode Two--Foreward, Together. The Jounin stood assembled before the village, the Hokage in front of them to address everyone from her high perch looking down onto a courtyard. The Genin had all managed to, as was expected, push their way to the front of the crowd, or were otherwise gathered on roofs and telegraph poles. Many of the Chuunin slouched against walls, seemingly unfazed by the situation. Tsunade cleared her throat and gripped the iron railings in front of her tightly, trying to find the right words to explain what was going to happen. "We are in trouble, everyone." she began, almost apocalyptically. "Our village is in grave danger from an enemy most of you have only heard of in history lessons. The Village Hidden in Shadow will be upon us within a matter of days." A soft gasp seemed to ripple through the crowds, many people bringing their hands to their mouths or clenching their fists at their sides. Tsunade noticed the movement of some of the more...relaxed Chuunin, and was somehow satisfied that they were taking notice of something so serious. "We have been at peace for so long it is fair to say that serious fighting isn't something most of our trained ninja are experienced in. However, we need all of you, Genin included, to fight for us. I'm afraid there's no pulling back from this, because if you don't fight to stop them arriving, the village will simply fall and then everyone will die. Every. Single. Person." She practically heard Naruto wince and bite his tongue to keep from letting off an angry outburst, and though she knew she was being cold and harsh, there was nothing else she could say. This was a serious situation and these children, because that's all they were, had to realise they were trained killers sooner or later. "Chuunin, Genin...I want you all assembled in the stadium by this evening. Say goodbye to your families and prepare yourselves for a journey. We're going out to meet the Shadow head on." She drew a breath to continue but Gaara stepped up next to her, looking over his shoulder at Zakuro, Temari and Kankurou before nodding. "Sunagakure, my village, was destroyed by the Shadow. I have seen first hand what this 'Yamikage' is capable of, and let me warn you that it's something I'd rather not see happen to your beautiful village. With my last remaining warriors I will support you 'till the end." He nodded again, more of a bow this time, and Tsunade saw he was truly grateful. He stepped back again for his brother to rest one strong hand on his shoulder. Tsunade found she had no more words and simply sighed pathetically, resting forward against the railings again. "I'll see you all later." I'm a little disappointed that our Konohagakure Jounin haven't posted, but no matter. I want everyone at the stadium (where the Chuunin finals were held, remember?) where Chuunin groups will be read out. Jounin, you guys can choose which groups you want to tag along with. Thanks to those of you who have posted, let?s keep on going!

So, I worked with the one you said was your fave and...ugh. Never again will I try and fill in the rest of a CG to extend the banner. It isn't worth it. >_> But, er...my Photobucket is being retarded so I've had to just attach the images. Sorry! Will put them up properly if I can actually upload them later. I know you wanted a blue, but the yellowish banner turned out nice so I threw it in anyway. Enjoy!

Imi watched as Sasuke walked back toward the village, his hand raised briefly as one final goodbye. She pouted and plopped herself back down on a rotting treestump, ignoring the slight pain she inflicted on herself from the childish action. Great. Now she was bored and alone, with no one to train with. She half wished she had the guts to go and talk to that Batou Gin guy, two years her senior and a very talented Chuunin. At least, that's what she'd been told. Ginmaru couldn't stand him either, which in Imi's opinion was a plus. She knew the taijutsu expert trained not far from where she was sitting, and could even hear periodic yells as he smashed something large and heavy. She sighed and fell backward off the stump, landing with her legs draped over the dead pant and her shoulders pressed hard against the dry, crisp grass. It was a nice day at least, so she could stare at the clouds for a while before boredom took hold again. She fanned her arms out by her sides, smiling at the feel of grass through the mesh on her right arm and the tickling of it directly against her bare left arm. Suddenly, the redhead was glad to be alone, enjoying the soft sounds of summer and the smells it brought as well. Sitting up again, she double-checked to see that no one was around. Satisfied she was truely alone, she pulled her solid metal nunchaku out of a small backpack. Sasuke-sensei told her it was rediculous that she forced herself into using them when she could barely even lift them properly, but Imi persisted and always told him it was to make herself a more powerful ninja. He couldn't say anything to stop her even if he tried, and Ginmaru's chiding only managed to spur her on. Twirling the nunchaku around with some difficulty, she dashed toward a tree standing out a little from the rest and brought the weapon forward with crushing force, watching happily as the wood split and buckled slightly from the attack. Pulling her arm back and flicking it slightly, she twirled the weapon above her head before bringing it down again, repeating the motion until she was gasping for breath. Imi let herself topple back onto the grass and looked up at the battered tree, feeling a satisfied ache in her muscles from all the hard work. Granted, someone like Batou Gin could use that heavy weapon for hours on end, but Imi thought that she was making progress and that was all that mattered. She picked herself up and packed her equipment away, settling under the shade of the tree for a well deserved nap. She never had been very good at staying alert, and completely failed to notice the footsteps of someone coming through the forest. OOC Anyone fancy meeting Imi? I don't mind who it is ^_^

Julian rested his head back against the cool leather of his armchair, only just finished pouring himself a glass of wine before settling down for what he hoped to be a relaxing read. He'd had a nice batch of cheese shipped in from France just that morning and was itching to sample it. Then the phone rang. Not the normal phone in his kitchen, but the cream one in his office. The phone with gold numbers on the buttons and silver trimmings around the edge of the ear and mouthpiece. The phone that indicted his services were needed for the Illuminati. "Oh, joy." he spoke out loud, pulling himself out of the chair with an audible squeak only fine leather could produce. He walked to his office quickly and picked up the phone, already knowing who would be on the other end. "Hallo, Alice. Would you like to see me?" He heard Alice draw in a breath and could picture her pursing her lips in annoyance at being interrupted. "Dr. DuLoc, your services are required by Mr Heatherford. Please get here as soon as you can." She put the phone down without so much as a 'Thank you' and Julian stared into the receiver for a few seconds before replacing it with an annoyed sigh. He ran a hand through his mousy brown hair and selected a jacket from behind the door, buttoning the expensive black garment up before putting on his shoes and jogging down the stairs to get his car, preferring to drive himself to meetings such as these. Especially meetings in the tail end of the night. He arrived just in time to see the insufferably devilish Reinhilde leaning over Alice's desk; her booted feet crossed at the ankle so her body arched, much like a feline. Julian supposed she liked to consider herself like that. Like Catwoman. He stifled a laugh and walked next to her, tapping his knuckles on the desk impatiently. "Let Mr Heatherford know that I've also arrived." he nodded to Alice and then to Reinhilde politely, hoping he wouldn't have to speak much with either of them for the rest of the evening.

Ignoring Demetri's lame excuse, Ray and Yasuo continued to jog ahead with the young man just a few paces behind them. Ray ducked into an alleyway, jogging a little faster now they were out of general public view. Yasuo panted softly, really not used to all this physical work despite her lithe figure. "Miss Ray...where is it we're going?" she wheezed, trying her best not to start lagging behind. She felt a crick in her shoulder and rolled it a few times, trying to work away the acid starting to build in her muscles. "We?re not too far now, Yasuo. I know a man who's proven useful to Adam on a few other occasions." Yasuo felt her heart pang with excitement, feeling so new and inexperienced compared to her other two team mates. They were older and probably far better wizards than she was, but she was going to try and not let that bother her. She looked over her shoulder at Demetri who smiled encouragingly, his long hair blowing out behind him to show off his face properly. Yasuo grinned and blushed a little, turning around just in time see that Ray had stopped in her tracks. "Just here," the policewoman said, her voice barely audible over her short puffs of breath. "There's a shop just around this corner. Let me go first, just in case he has any...other customers." Yasuo and Demetri nodded, waiting for a few minutes while Ray went ahead, her shadow stretching into the alley as she opened a door to flood the area with a strange, wavering blue light. "So..." Yasuo said finally, shuffling her feet awkwardly. Despite her confidence in groups, she never had been that good with talking to others privately. Demetri looked up as if he was going to speak and Yasuo could have sworn she heard a giggle coming from his shoulder, but Ray reappeared. She stuck her head around the corner and jerked a thumb meaningfully toward the shop door. "C'mon, we won't be interrupted." The trio walked into a small shop, crowded with dream catchers, herbs and books that looked like they could easily have been antiques. A plump, sallow man stood behind the counter, a rolled cigarette stuck behind his ear. Yasuo would have said he was your perfectly normal, sleazy dealer, if it weren't for his eyes that were distinctly those of an insect. Round and pitch black, shimmering in the strange light that was coming from a large crystal orb further along the counter. "This is Chuck," Ray began, the man waving pleasantly as his name was spoken, "He has some equipment that can trace paranormal activity and thinks he might have spotted something earlier."
OOC: Thought that would be a good place to leave it. PM me for any troubles~

Well, I haven't even touched FFXII yet, but those images are awful pretty. I used the ones Sandy provided. No fancy effects really, just some colour tweaking. Thought I'd have a bash, too. Far from my usual dark style, I felt let changing things up a bit and making the avatars simple and light. The stock images were so awesome I didn't really need to do much with them, to be honest.
Yes! It's up! ^__^ Happiness... But to confirm info from your post, only a small group from Sunagakure are left, correct? Are Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro going to present with me in Konoha as well for the duration of this, or just for a small time?
They'll be hangin' in Konoha, but I was going to have them stay behind to hold fort in case the Shadow manage to slip past us. You'll be the only Sand coming with the rest of us Konoha-dudes. =D Also, everyone: The Shadow are only the tip of the iceburg. If the RP goes on long enough, end everyone is having fun, I'm considering having a timeskip period like in the Naruto series, just to mix things up a little. Still just an idea though.

Hey there, indierockchild. I'm afraid this really isn't how we do things around here. I'd like you to read the Sticky so you get to know how things work before you start another thread for an RP. If you want to start recruiting after you've read the sticky then post in the Inn, not the Square. Thank you, Ezekiel.

Episode One--The Threat is Confirmed. Tsunade paced in her office, Shizune looking worried and watching silently as she wrung her hands behind her. She tried not to look nervous, if only for Tsunade's sake, but it was becoming increasingly difficult as the tension in the air was near palpable. "I have to tell them," the Hokage stated suddenly, her voice surprisngly soft and even. "Please ask all the Jounim to join me in the hall as fast as they possibly can. Let's figure out what we can do." Shizune nodded and trotted out, dodging a young man as he came jogging up the stairs. "Hokage-sama!" he wheezed, dropping down to one knee, "I've just had word from Sunagakure that the Kazekage, his siblings, and a few Jounin are on their way. They're the only warriors that are left." Tsunade groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose, slumping down into her chair for a brief rest. She really needed to think, but there just wasn't any time. She had to hope her Jounin had more ideas than she did. "Thank you. Please gather a group of spies and ANBU to scout the surrounding area. I want to know how far away those bastards from Shadow are." The young man nodded, pressed his fists to the floor, and left quickly. Tsunade followed not long after, hoping to seek out Jiraiya before meeting with the Jounin. They were going to need all the help they could get. And it begins. Jounin know what they have to do. Have a brief meeting with Tsunade where you basically decide that all ninja, no matter what their level, are going to be needed in a fight against the Shadow. Chuunin/Genin, you guys are still pretty clueless about what's going on. Feel free to meet the Sand ninja, but don't have them tell anyone what's going on. I think Gaara has more tact. It's just your basic mingling/training for you guys. I want introductions, really. Cyriel, you can just be arriving from Sand if you want or you can jump in during the next episode. This isn't going to be very long. Also, I'm not going to wait for everyone to post if it takes too long. This first Episode will be 'open' for a few days, and then we're moving on. Mmkay? Thanks, guys! Go forth and...er...ninja.
Question. What will Gin's role be? I mean, I know that I posted that he's a form of 'secret weapon'. Is that what he's going to be then? Just some fellow to mingle around?
Like everyone else he'll be sent off at the same time in charge of a squad, but will probably have separate orders to the others. His squad will be smaller and contain the more talented Genin, I imagine.

For Redemption: As BK described is pretty much the reason, actually. Now that the teams have split up due to promotion I thought it would be better to state who had been together, rather than moving people around and everything. Sorry it was so comfusing, I'm probably not explaining it well seeing as I just woke up D: But yes, BK is right. Also, as Curiel put, the teams probably wouldn't be functioning properly as soon as war is announced and the 'troops' start moving. Also:
Uh Kitty, I don't think your in. You donut have a Genin cell, do you're not RPing at all, me thinks.
I never said that at all. Kitty IS in, I love her character and her *squeezes* there was just an odd number. I was also going to take Cyriel's suggestion, but there's only ever one girl per cell and none of the girls moved up as Chuunin. Kitty, you can just have NPC genin as your previous cell members, if you like? For Cyriel: It would probably be better is Zakuro was just arriving with some other survivors from the Sand to give support. I like posts that are about two good paragrpahs at least, but let's not start writing essays because it'll take hours to get through everyone. Reading everyones posts properly will be a must, yes. May I suggest that, due to the large amount of people involved, names of characters you include in your posts are bolded? That way people find it easier to see how their situation has changed and can post accordingly. strwpoptart: You can make one up, if you want to. (But chck it with me first, please?) I was only asigning those who signed up as Jounin to a team rather than giving them to everyone. Keep in mind that all the original Naruto cast are available as NPCs Phew! I'm glad everyone is still enthusiastic!
Anyway, cells are great... awesome, even. I was just wondering, even if you already said something, just to make sure... can we talk and become friends with other people from other cells? Just because in my Extra Notes, I'm friends with a lot of people who aren't in my cell, so... yeah. >> Especially since I'm going with a love triangle with two other people.. *wishes she could be in a team with those two* But, *ahem* I digress. :/ But anyway... just wanted to make sure. :D AND OMG KAORU SHALL BECOME FRIENDS WITH IMI BECAUSE SHE IS JUST PLAIN SEXY!!!1one =D
OMG YEY FRIENDS Of course you can talk to people from other cells! I just put them this way so people knew who they would be closer with or, in same cases, dislike. I'm pretty sure most of the Genin will remember their old team mates and feel at least some sort of loyalty toward them, even when the cell has been broken up.

So~ I'm putting up a list of who's in, as well as teams. I haven't assigned Jounin to the teams, because quite a few of them have been broken by a promotion of Genin to Chuunin. Anyway! [Names in red shows that the character is now a Chuunin, and thus no longer included in the team. This is to establish relationships to encourage interraction.] Team #1 Hyuuga Junko [JJ] Hizen, Kurosai ?Kuro? [Omega] Kobayashi, Midori [strwpoptart] Team #2 Nagata, Ichiro [BKstyles] Konpaku Oni (I put you in a cell because I didn't want anyone from outside Konoha. Cyriel was an exception as she PM'ed me. I hope you don't mind, as this makes things a lot easier.) [The Spartan] Risashi Mitsumi [Redemption] Team #3 Matsumoto Kaoru [Keyblade Wielder] Ikorose Suigintou [Engel] Shinji Zukachi [Matt] Team #4 Zensei Ginmaru [Onix] Kagami, Imi [Ezekiel] Hizen Shirosai, ?Shiro? [The Anonymous Usual] Also Ijizawa Mai [Kitty]. I wanted you in but you couldn't fit in a cell. DD: So sorry! Gin Batou [The Boss] is also joining as, but isn't in a cell due to the age difference. If anyone has got different ages, then...deal with it. I had to wangle things so it worked out =p It won't make that much difference. Jounin- Uchiha Sasuke (Was previously in charge of Team 4) [Sakura] Uzumaki Naruto (Was in charge of Team 2) [Revelation] Zakura [Cyriel] I think that's it, really. Feel free to edit with relationships now you know what teams you were in. Also, people, IMI NEEDS SOME LOVE. HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH HER. EVEN IF YOU HATE HER. o___o Plz. She's not going to bite. Look out for this in the next couple of days. Thanks again everyone, let's make this awesome~! PS As a side, I might possibly submit a bio for Rock Lee. It's depressing no one wanted to play as him. PPS If I've made a mistake, then don't hesitate to bash me over AIM or through PM. I've probably let something slip here. ):

Sign ups are clooooosed~! Thank you all for your sign ups. If you have to edit anything (I know I do, erk) then that's fine. I'll read over the sign ups today and decide who will be in and what cells they will belong to/had belonged to. This RP won't really depend on working in cells, but it'll be good to have a grounding for relationships. See you all soon~

Right, while sign ups are still open I don't want any more Chuunin. We already have too many, but that's my own fault for not putting a limit on it in the first place. From now on I'd like mainly Genin and possibly anouther Jounin, please. Thanks everyone, I'm really impressed so far!

Kitty, you don't need to worry at all, the sign ups are going to be open for a quite a while still. ^_^ Name: Kagami, Imi. Self-proclaimed 'Katsuo', victorious child. Age: 14 Gender: Female Appearance: [link] Rank: Genin Personality: Imi seems to be a conflict in personality types. While training she appears to be working hard and taking notice, she is constantly harassed by tutors that she can do more and she has capabilities that should be stretched. She honestly doesn't believe them and is very happy to be average. Most of the time. However, Imi also has a sense of pride that she finds hard to beat down. When she sees someone excelling, she wants to beat them, but falls at the last hurdle with her laziness. She passed the academy with a satisfactory grade, but hasn't seemed to make much of an effort to improve since then. She is friendly to most, though there are a few personalities she just can't stomach, and when that is the case she makes it pretty damn clear. Insults will be met with backchat and challenges will never be backed down from. A fiery ninja by all accounts, Imi seems to be more well liked by her elders than by others from the academy, and she prefers it that way after growing up very independently. Equipment: Imi prefers not to carry equipment, finding she is too slow and clumsy with it, but has the usual kunai-holder strapped to her thigh as well as a few shuriken in a pouch on her belt. She also carries a large coil of strong, but thin, wire. Main Weapon/Technique: Having had Sasuke as her Jounin, Imi picked up one of his techniques, her most used one by far the Karyuu Endan, whereby she can collect in a chest full of air and burst it out as a thick wall of flames. However, due to the fact she isn't nearly as skilled as Sasuke was when he was her age, she finds it tiring and sometimes can't even carry it out off all. She's also an apt user of the transformation technique as well as replacement technique. She's fond of using Bunshin no Jutsu as it suits her erratic and unpredictable brawling style of hand-to-hand fighting. She is teaching herself to use nunchaku, admiring those who can use large weapons with simple ease and elegance. But, as her tutors and cell mates have discovered, Imi seems like a very average student without even her own signature move to show. Biography/Writing Sample: Brief History- Imi was left without a name and without a note on the doorstep of Konoha's main hall. Found by the Hokage in the morning, she was raised not just by him but by the village as a whole. No single family made room for her, yet all seemed to open their hearts, and because of this she learnt to look after herself and to rely not on others, but her own skills. Thus, she grew not with a passion to be a ninja, but just to be a good person and to help the village that had done so much for her. She has always known that she was abandoned, but not once has blamed her parents or wondered about who they are. The current Hokage often wonders if it's because of this relaxed attitude that she doesn't push herself, though she does seem to have some sort of latent ability. Sample- The sky was clear but spiked with the chill of winter. Konohagakure may have been firmly seated in the Country of Fire, but it still tasted the occasional bitter winter. However, there Imi sat on her windowsil, wearing only shorts and a t-shirt with her head protector in her lap. She gazed down at her fellow ninja, recognising some instantly from the Academy. Some would look up and nod politely, of course Imi would return the gesture, but there didn't seem to be any real meaning there. She knew her personality led to others being unsure around her, not quite sure if they could approach her or even how to, if they tried. She found it rediculously stupid that the person she was closest to was that insufferable Zensei Ginmaru. Making the mistake of taking her eyes off the street, Imi leant her head back against her windowframe, feeling something hard and fast connect with her temple only seconds after. She squawked and toppled backwards, flailing uselessly before she hit the floor. She didn't even need to look up to confirm who that merciless laugh belonged to. "Zensei!" she yelled down at the street, seeing those cold eyes turned up toward her. She didn't need to see his mouth to know that he was smirking behind that mask. She supposed he thought it made him look cool. Prick. "Oi, you high or something? The Chuunin exams start soon. Sasuke-sensei sent me to come and find you," he rested his hand on the hilt of his sword, looking down the street nonchanlantly, "Unfortunately." Imi grit her teeth and tugged her proper clothes on quickly, leaping out of the window to land in front of her team mate. He scoffed and starting walking, leaving Imi seething as she followed in his footsteps. A happy greeting from anyone would only be met with a snarl. She hoped it wouldn't be someone she liked. Extra Notes: -Imi was in a three-man cell with Ginmaru, but found it broken when he was promoted to Chuunin and she was left behind. She never really warmed to him, seeing as he was by far one of the most talented of their class and she one of the least, and he reminded her of it as often as possible. -Imi has a lot of respect for Rock Lee and Sasuke, for very different reasons, and takes all opportunities to speak to either of them.

For the world to function properly, there must be balance. A balance of good and evil. Many peace loving men will try to convince you that this simply isn?t true, but just look at history. Even from the most honourable and genuinely good causes comes pain and destruction. The human race is born and bred to want to be the best, and that will never change. The only hope we have is that for every evil person, someone good emerges. Someone who won?t back down, someone who will fight, and someone who will win. From the ashes of the defeated Akatsuki, a new organisation much larger and more zealous has emerged. They are no longer a small group of S-rated Bingo Book ninja, they are a legion. They are a village and their numbers stretch into the hundreds. The Village hidden in Shadow has risen and it is only a matter of time before they make their mark. At first they were a clan of nomads, a close family unit with a kekkai genkai both terrifying and powerful, who travelled between the lands of Fire and Wind. During a spate of madness their leader turned to murder and ordered the pillaging of small, defenceless villages along the borders of the countries. They became criminals, wanted and in fear of their lives and the continuation of the kekkai genkai. As a last resort, the wife of the crazed leader escaped to Konohagakure in the dead of night, leaving her baby girl at the mercy of the villagers without so much as a note. Now it has been three years since Naruto returned from his training and with the Akatsuki defeated it seemed that true peace was just on the horizon. Young Genin were still trained and impressive talent was discovered, but it seemed that there was a decreasing need for the warriors of old. Ninja, now, have been reduced to peace-loving mercenaries. But, just as it seemed ninja had lost their place in this world, disaster struck. Sunagakure was attacked without any hope of warning and within three days had been raised to the ground, the mark of the Shadow left once the dust had settled. The Hokage and Kazekage have had no choice but to declare war, and with the now depleted force of battle-ready ninja it seems that even the young genin will be called to fight. Little do they realised that one of their very own is the object of the Shadow?s conquest. The threat of the kekkai genkai being used outside of the Shadow?s ranks is something that their leader, proclaiming himself to be the ?Yamikage?, doesn?t bare to think of. He doesn?t care that the girl is his very own daughter, viewing her as garbage not worthy of the family lineage. If he and his warriors reach Konoha, it seems that there will be no stopping them, and they will not rest until every enemy is dead.
Behold! Another Naruto roleplay, hopefully going to work better than the last couple. In this I?m hoping for a majority of genin, but if you want to be a jounin and lead a cell I can accept that, too. The roleplay, so as not to dive in too quickly, will start before the Hokage has announced the threat of war. Seeing as most characters will be 14, a couple of you can have recently become chuunin, but obviously it?s a pretty hard thing to do at that age, so be convincing. The original cast of Naruto are all available, and you can assume that all are of either chuunin or jounin rank. I?ll be matching up cells and jounin once sign ups are complete, hoping we have enough. For those who don?t realise, a kekkai genkai is a bloodline limit, like the Hyuuga?s Byakugan or the Uchiha?s Sharingan. If anyone signs up with the Sharingan I?m afraid I?m going to have to burn you, mmkay? There are no more Uchiha except for Sasuke. (Who, for arguments sake, is now with Konoha.) I?ll be playing as the unnamed girl, but won?t be revealing the bloodline limit yet. If you want to be related to one of the characters (within reason) feel free, but I am going to be judgmental and may ask you to change. All sorted~? Good! Name: Japanese, obviously. Family name first, please. Age: 14 for majority of characters. Original cast will be around 18/19. Gender: Appearance: Descriptions with a picture is preferable. If you?re playing as an existing character, I can?t imagine they?ll look much different than post time-skip, so just give a pic and an updated description of their fashion. Rank: Genin/Chuunin or Jounin Personality: Varied personalities, please and thank you. Equipment: This is where you may have to do a little research. Equipment would be things like kunai, shuriken, smoke bombs etc. Remember that Ninja can?t carry big packs around with them, so please don?t carry 20 kunai with you on your thighs. (Wiki is a great help, as well as this site) Main Weapon/Technique: I don?t want to go into all the different types of fighting styles, so this will make things a little more simple. If you want to be a strong physical fighter, like Rock Lee, state the fact here and describe your fighting style. If you want to be good with weapons, talk about it here or, if you want to have one master technique (Like Shikamaru?s Shadow Manipulation) then you need to tell us about it. Ninja, like normal students, aren?t equal in all areas. I want people to be varied with their choices. Remember: Everyone has a strong point. Any Sasuke copies will probably be met with mild annoyance. Biography/Writing Sample: Choose which one you?ll find easier. I suggest editing these as more people sign up, because character interaction is absolutely necessary in this RP. Talk about relationships you have with other characters either here or in your Extra Notes. Extra Notes: Anything else you feel we need to know about your character goes here. Any questions may go to my Inbox! If there?s too much people need to know I?ll start an Underground thread, but it?s not going to be necessary until the RP proper starts, me thinks. Thank you for reading! PS: Repeat characters from Fallen Leaves are more than welcome, as that was an awesome cast of ninja-buddies. I?m probably going to make some banners and such, but if anyone else wants to make something Naruto-esque then feel free! (Damn this badwagon.)

So, after giving up on Naruto at around ep 80-something and instead reading (some) of the manga, I've now picked up again with Naruto Shippuden! Huzzah. I had an intense eyegasm from the first ten minutes of the hour-long special, and the new OP song makes me weep with joy. I'm probably more excited about the new series because I used to adore Naruto so much and was sad when I got bored of it.
For me, personally, as I haven't really read it in the manga, I'm glad they started out by showing Sasuke et al and then sort of did a relapse. I have to be honest, it really drew me in straight away and was a nice serious start to the new series. But now I want to see more of Saaaaai. D:
All in all, I are happy fangirl. Must make an effort to catch up on the manga!

"Ya what? Are ya even listening ta me, Yasuo?" "I've been listening for the last half-hour, Johnson, and now I'm bored of your ranting. I'm going in there and I'm getting rid of this damned problem." A young woman, probably around the age of 19, whirled on her heel with a hand buried in her wild hair, short but thick and dyed an odd pale blue colour. Her bodyguard growled audibly and followed her grudgingly, tugging at his tie in the nervous way he was want to do when Yasuo Kiatsu, daughter of the Japanese Ambassador, got out of hand. "Just because you've been brought up here doesn't mean ya can handle it!" he barked, almost pleading for him, but it wasn't any good. Johnson knew it and so did Yasuo. She was stubborn and fiery and once her mind was set there was no turning back. "This creature has been frustrating my younger brothers for a very long time. They cry. They wail. And by God do they whine when they haven't had enough sleep. I'm putting an end to it." Johnson sighed and watched as Yasuo shoved open the large double doors leading into her father's library-come-office, tugging on a pair of exquisite French leather gloves, sans fingertips. She flexed her fingers and settled back lightly on her heels, pushing her orange-tinted glasses further up her nose. "I know you're in here, pest." she waved a hand at the doors and, with a sigh and the shake of his head; Johnson closed them to lock her inside. A cackle met Yasuo's ears and she rolled her eyes, pushing up the sleeves of her blouse as she settled down into a crouch, spinning around to smack something cold and clammy hard in the head. It shrieked and rocketed back against the wall, smoke curling from its shuddering form as the heat of Yasuo's magic settled down. She cracked her fingers and shook her hands out again, smiling coyly. "Get out of my house and stop bugging the kids." The poltergeist pulled itself to its feet and grumbled, pressing stumpy fingers to its cheek where the blast of flame had ignited. It disappeared in a puff of smoke and foul smelling gas, bringing tears to Yasuo's eyes even as she tried to wave it away. She tugged off her gloves and stuffed them in the back pocket of her white jeans, turning grey eyes to see Johnson open the door not soon after. "Looks like tha' new sensei is paying off, eh?" Yasuo smiled brightly and nodded, leaving the room with the grace of one still new and keen to the practice of martial arts. "Eh, Yasuo, where do you think you're going?" "To tell father, I'm sure he'll be pleased he doesn't have to pay to get that thing removed!"
Pssh, who needs graphics? It's the writing that counts, Tek. Also, I think I got everything in there, but if it wasn't obvious enough Yasuo's 'level of expertise' is probably mediocre, though she is keen to use her powers. Fun fact: 'Yasuo Kiatsu' roughly translates to 'peaceful air pressure' =D EDIT: Saw that Eclipse had lightning and, seeing as it's rare magic, I've editted to fire instead.
