This is Chpter 1 of my fanfiction, introducing a new digidestined called Ashley. Each week or so I shall add a new chapter on to the end of this. Don't forget 2 reply and tell me what u think, in case I need to make a few changes! :babble: Chapter 1 When Cody got to the classroom, everyone else seemed to already be there. As usual, his classmates were chatting loudly and he had to avoid a large pink rubber flying past his ear before he could reach his seat. Cody sat down, got out his books and set them on the table before joining in with the chaos. There was a strange kid a the front of the class, talking to the teacher. Nobody seemed to be taking much notice. Mr. McDougall rapped his desk with a ruler for silence. ?Class settle down. I?d like you all to meet Ashley. She?s just moved here. Ashley, you can sit-? The telephone on the desk rang loudly, interrupting his sentence. Mr. McDougall picked up the phone. ?Hello, room 27, Mr McDougall speaking...Oh, hi mom...not right now, mom, I?m in class...Oh, do I have to...I ate all my greens yesterday, I ate every scrap on my plate!!!...I don?t need you to wash my underwear, I can do it all by myself!...*sigh* fine, if that?s what makes you happy...I?ll be right over...? Mr. McDougall put the phone down. ?I need to go, there?s, er, an emergency, uh, down at the underwear-I mean, headteacher?s office, I?ll go find someone to cover for me...Ashley, you can sit where you like. Now stay quiet, everyone.? There was silence as he made towards the door, but the minute the door shut and his footsteps had faded down the hall, the chaos began again. Ashley looked around for a spare seat. The boys were throwing paper pellets and pen lids at each other. None of the girls seemed all that interested. After all, they all had their own friends by now. Ashley was slightly smaller than Cody, only about an inch. She had long, straight black hair. Two small strands were braided in blue and pink and fell over either shoulder. Her large, dark blue eyes were similarly shaped to Cody?s. Cody thought she looked nice, so he caught her eye and pointed to an empty seat next to him. Ashley smiled gratefully and went crossed the classroom to where Cody was sitting. ?Hey, Ashley, over here!? A horribly familiar voice called through the noise of the classromm. Cody fumed and only the fact that he wouldn?t waste the energy stopped him from hurling an encyclopedia in Adam?s freckly face. Ashley gave Adam a funny look. ?I think I can decide where I want to sit without your help, thank you.? and with that she turned away from Adam and sat next to Cody. ?Well handled.? Cody said approvingly. ?Remind me not to get on your bad side.? ?Thanks? Ashley glared across the room at Adam. ?What a jerk.? she said. ?Does he always behave like that?? ?Pretty much.? At recess, a lot of kids ragged Cody and Ashley a lot. Stupid taunts and giggles flew around them. ?Cody and Ashley, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!? ?How childish!? Ashley said, disgusted. Cody and Asley became fast friends and after a few weeks, knew each other very well. After a while, the taunts died down. Cody told the Davis and TK about Ashley. ?So?? Davis shrugged. ?What about her?? ?Nothing, just making conversation.? Cody muttered. As soon as he said it, he knew it sounded pathetic. ?Oh, I get it!? Davis narrowed his eyes and grinned. ?You like this kid, right?? Cody went red and stared down at his sneakers as if they were the most fascinating thing in the universe. ?Kinda.? ?Well, let me help you there, Cody!? said Davis, crouching down so he could see Cody properly. ?You want this girl to like you back, so first you have to - Ow!? TK had taken advantage of Davis? positing and prodded him, so Davis fell over. ?I wouldn?t take advice from him, Cody.? TK said. ?He can?t even get Kari to like him, never mind help someone else get a girlfriend!? Davis got up off the floor, muttering under his breath. ?You just have to be natural, that?s all there is to it. By the sound of things, I?d say she likes you, too.
