GAAH! Triple post...yadda yadda yadda... not good. The first one is good. The details in the hair and and the eyes are really nice. But what's the deal with the expression? Unless you really intended her to have that shocked look then it's okay I guess. The zoomed in effect of her face is cool too but the angle of the face is not the same (as well as the expression). Well, it's not much of bad thing though. My OC disorder just attacked starting from your triple post and the said angles so from a normal person's POV I guess you can disregard my last comment. Good job on the first two pieces and I kinda second what FirePhoenix said about the last one. ^_^x

I'm not sure but you could be talking about cache control or something in that sense. It's like when you're writing a post and accidentally clicked on a link, you still want the information to be there when you click the back or forward button again. This thing works for me on this site and I have no trouble losing posts (except maybe when IE is being an ***). Anyway, I don't think stopping links from working is possible. And I'm not sure if the pop up thingy will work on the back/forward button. Maybe its a browser issue? Hmm.. I doubt that somehow. Let's see what Justin have to say about this since I'm particulary interested on how this can be done. ^_^x

I'm curious about "Constantine". Now I don't know much about Hellblazers. I don't know John Constantine. But I know Keanu Reeves. I just saw the preview of Constantine. Stars Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz (The Mummy). From the information I read a while ago I learned that it is based from a comic entitled Hellblazer. It is set to show sometime next year, around February I think. It is sort of like the Exorcist or an occultist movie but with more action (and fantasy I think). Now what I'm curious about is Reeves taking the role of Constantine. I heard the real Constantine is supposed to be a mage, former punk, or a savior of an unknown universe. A nice guy when people are looking but really a bastard and womanizer and all those bad stuff. No superpowers. Only sharp wit and little magic. And he's British and blonde. Ok that's enough description. I shouldn't really judge Mr. Reeves only from the trailer, but really, he didn't seem like the description said above. Sure he's gorgeous in the outfit and all but Keanu doesn't feel like Constantine at all. Definitely not British and not blonde. And it seems like he's still playing Neo. Some dude even said it looks like Matrix 4 with Christian metaphysics... and I think I sort-of agree. Some say he shouldn't be the one playing the role since he's not British. I also think he's too good looking to portray a "bastard". I'm wishing for it to turn out great though. What do you guys think?

Hopefully, I'm on my last term in college so some time next year it's bye bye to school and hello to freedom. That is until I get a job or take some masteral studies. But you know what they say, school is better than a regular adult job. That is why I am to cherish and enjoy my remaining formal school days. ^_^ And, psychology blows.

I'm also not an expert on this matter but as someone who lives in an Asian country (Philippines) who have serious problems with piracy, I feel the need to have a say. As much as anime licenses are concerned, most people who love anime here hate it. It is a nightmare for them because it means that they 'might' not get a hold of their once unlicensed anime. I read from a blogger's point of view (and I think it is somehow true) that it is almost just America that is benefiting from anime licenses. One reason would be waiting for an original DVD of a recently licensed anime takes a year or so to be released. Why should one go through all the hell of waiting for the first episode when fansubs are already at ep. 96? Fansubs will be hard to find once an anime is licensed and not all are rich enough to import original DVDs so what do people do? They download it, print in on DVD, and instead of letting others borrow their copies, they decide to make other copies and sell it. Those who buy it are eventually major ***** that need money so a third or fourth copy, though extremely low in quality, is created for selling. Other scenarios involve these major assess practically buying originals for the sole purpose of copying and selling it. This is a fact. Majority of Filipinos are opportunists and they're even resourceful in getting illegal stuff. For me, it's a simple and quiet work of piracy. Of course, it's not just animes. Any series seen on TV and can be downloaded or bought are being copied and sold. So for an anime fan living in Asia I should hate this movement but for a concerned citizen of a country, whose economy is being severely eaten by corruption and piracy, I should say I somehow support it. You know one thing that sucks too? The government has little control over Filipino works in the internet so "legal" and "illegal" stuff doesn?t really matter. *shrug*

September 5 - 8:30pm "...32, 33, 34, and 35." Professor Ken Wu-Fan finished counting the steps of the stairs up to his apartment, which he does everytime he goes up or down the stairs since... it might have changed the previous night. He enter his flat. Opens the light. Closes it. Opens it again. Closes it. Opens it again. Clo... :nope: Places his grocery stuff near the sink. Removes his black disposable gloves. Throws it away. Wears plastic gloves. Opens faucet which emits hot flaming water. Washes off canned goods with new lava hand soap. Washes off coins he got as change from the grocery cashier. Throws soap. Removes plastic gloves. Throws it away. Places canned goods in cupboard, alpahabetically, with labels facing him. Re-alphabetizes. Wears another plastic gloves. Goes to polish coins. Once, twice, thrice. Puts everything in wallet which has separate pockets for each type of coin. After all these decontamination activities, Ken proceeded to watch TV. As he was flipping through the channels he stopped in horror to see a movie scene showing loads of annoying anime chibis running around a park chasing chickens, detonating bombs, playing plushie fights, with icky food all over their faces and clothes, and just being plain dirty. "...ugh! The very picture of the reception hall on first days of school." As he was about to change the channel, three random fairies flew inside from the kitchen window, giggling and tattling in high-pitched notes. A great amount of green, blue and red pixie dust jingled and fell all over the carpet. Of course this irritated Ken but he already knew what he would do since these little scoundrels passes by inside his house every night as if it's an established line of travel towards their magical home. Grabbing a sprite-icide, he took aim, sprayed, and accidentally missed. Now he rarely missed so this pissed him off and all the more as the fairies jested at and teased him into running after them around the house. He cussed endlessly and when he just couldn't take it anymore, his short-term memory loss attacked and turned the chasing scene into a never before seen footage of "Professor Ken and the Three Little Faeries' Wonderful Tea Party". As usual, it only lasted for five minutes. Ken managed to be aware of what was happening before the tea party and continued the activity until the fairies were all knocked out. He placed them in a box, writes a "Be warned, Pixies!" sign, and let his pet monster take them safely home. It was, after all, just a lesson to all pixies. After vacuum-cleaning all pixie dust trails his flat, he went to the bathroom for his third shower which he does routinely everyday. Let's not get into a detailed account of that shower scene. *After an hour-long hot shower* Ken grabbed one towel and started drying the inside of the shower up to the last moist and drop of water. After that, he folded the towel neatly and placed it in a box labeled "laundry". He then grabbed another one and towel-dried himself. After a few more minutes of preparation, he finally went to bed and set his two alarm clocks at 9am and 9:05am respectively. I used to like Barbie, heh. I had a mask shop, a pool, and a big house for her. I dress her up and all that girly stuff. But since I bought Ken, my Barbie became a woman. Lol. I'm serious. I had her date Ken and you know how dates sometimes end up. *foot in mouth* Surely, Barbie was either a model or a disaster to the minds of young girls. Anyway, I also loved Legos and mostly those that help hone one's mind and creativity. I go for board games and playing cards so I am not the action figure type and if ever I had one I'll probably display it for guests to see, like my now lost Rainbow Bright figurines, instead of locking them up in a toy box or something. Other than that, I don't play much with toys. Toys are great and they amuse me a lot. I always thought how toy cars with remote controls work so I can make my own. My cousin and I once made a boat with an on and off switch. It actually moved on water so its cool. I love seeing other kids my age playing with toys but I'm not that fond of playing with them myself. I always thought that toys have a certain effect on the things we like to do as we grow up. Take for example Legos. I used to make houses and stuff with it. Now I know that somehow that influenced my love of architecture and interior design. On the other hand, Barbie made me love the art of fashion. I look at toys now as a work of art. I normally see works of art using Legos like a big Santa or two life-size couple on a Lego bench. Genious I say.

Quite a cool animation you got there. I like how DW moved around in that short but cute animation. The fire effect is also nice as well as the smiley-ish thingies. Once cent though, transition's too fast sometimes. I wasn't finish reading one page yet when another one came up already. But all in all it's really nifty ^_^x

Discuss Anime Stereotype High School Underground [PG-VSL]
Hevn replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Theater
I was thinking about the time interval within posts. Can any member choose to start posting for the next day? How do we know when it's the right time to post for the next day? -
Once you pop, you can't stop, or something along those lines.
Lol. Pringles. I applaud you, Solo, for being 19 and a virgin. You're one good model for teenagers. Anyway, tell me. Why do you want to have sex with her? The only possible reason I can think of is because of your hormones. Don't tell me you wanna do it because you love her because, if you're mature enough like you said you are, you know it's crap. Why do you post that you're having sex? Is it for advice or you just want to brag or broadcast it to the world? If it is for advice then, please, read our posts and let it sink. Notes: - A 14 year old boy wants to have sex with a girl he's been dating for four months. - He said he's really in love with her. Love is sacrifice. [strike]Love is wiping your baby's arse after it disgustingly pooped.[/strike] Love is respect. A guy has nothing to loose after a successful sex, a girl does. - He said he hasn't been talking a lot about it to the girl. You should talk a lot about it with her. The mutual feeling should be clear. A girl could say yes because she's madly in love a guy. Believe me, guys have that stupid effect on us. - 14 is definitely waaaay to young. And no, I'm sorry but there are no special cases for sex. - You're asking for a sign. So you're not sure...or am I missing something?
-
but god, It sucks being young
Sure there are a lot of priveleges that adults have that young people don't but hey, being young is one of the greatest things ever. Less care, less responsibilities. More fun, more video games. Why are a lot people in such a hurry anyway? I say take your time in everything that you do and cherish the moment. A few years from now you're stuck with work, bills, and kids you wished you were younger.
-
No age or maturity level can tell when one's ready to have sex. I don't want to go several paragraphs on this so I'm summing it up. When you know you won't regret it someday, go have sex. Use a condom.

More... AI "Keep me safe" "When you become a real boy, remember me to the ladies when you grow up!" Pirates of the Caribbean "But why is the rum gone?" Will: "This is either madness or brilliance." Jack: "It?s remarkable how often those two traits coincide" Meet Joe Black "I know it's a cornball thing, but love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? I say fall head over heels. Find someone you love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart... Run the risk, if you get hurt, you'll come back. Because the truth is, there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love -- well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived... Stay open. Who knows? Lightning could strike."

I can only see RGB version. Anyway, I think the effect in the eyes is amazing. It's by far the feature of the CG version that stands out. Although I think the original version has smoother lines. The lines in the CG one seems too pixelated. It's a nice work anyway and I also like how you did the shadow and the coloring. ^_^x

I didn't like Ju-On that much. Hell, I didn't like a lot of Japanses horror flicks that flooded Asia after the success of Ring. But "The Eye" is an exception and I am looking forward to seeing the sequel of that. I've seen the preview once but I don't know if it has been released and I missed it. From TN's list, i'm really anticipating for Ocean's 12 since the first one is just genius. Touch of Pink seems really fun but I don't know if it's going to be released here. And yes, I don't trust the quality of a lot of sequels that much but I still want to judge them myself if they make it in my exception list. ^_^x

I've never posted in the Art by Request forum too. Hmmm...

I didn't want to create a thread so I posted here. Just have one concern. I went to see my profile today after a long while and looked at my post count, it says 80 something. Then I go to read all posts I created and it says there are a about 190 something posts. I know post counts don't matter but could that be a bug in the system? I joined somewhere in May or June I think so version problems should not apply right? And I've never posted in the Battle Arena... Anyway, was just concerned...or...something ^_^x

I always get O.O when I see your banners. They're just amazing. I personally love The Bride/Volume 1. The first time I saw it I stared at it for, like, minutes. Yes, the scene is awesome and the yellow border with that "J" trademark perfected it. The border of the Pulp Fiction banner is pretty and fits well with the black and white scene. It's not everyday I see a border like that. And I second, or maybe third, your and Icarus2K's comment on the movement of the camera. Once again, you're right on your own comment on the second Volume 2 banner so I prefer the first and third one. For the first one I thought "It just keeps on going doesn't it?" (heh, referring to the driving). Yes, it doesn't have a smooth transition but it's cool as it is. The caption on the left does not appeal too much to me though. The third one's actually one of the scenes I like most. I wanna hear her actually say the words "I'm going to kill Bill" though it is impossible ^_^. So I just kept on saying the words for her aloud, lol. Not much to say on Elle Driver 1 banner. It's beautiful. Every element of it. ^_^ The animation on the yellow part of the second Elle banner is good but since the transition is too fast I have to go do the "minutes of staring" thing. The hue of the I, Robot banner is very attractive. The circle thingy is genius. Really genius, I say.

The lettering on the second one rocks. You definitely have to use that one. This is a very good banner. ^_^x

I've started this one years ago but lost all interest after a while and never had the chance to finish it. It's a really nice game though and I'm honestly hoping to get to it sometime. The graphics/animations and sounds are great and the storyline is interesting. I like how I can move around during battles in real-time unlike FF games. I never get to see that Chrysler Building but I see it's interesting too. One thing that I have to mention though is I've seen a Japanese movie whose theme is so much like this. It has all those mitochondria stuff and people burning. I never got to see that movie again so I never knew the title. But it really is like Parasite Eve the Movie. Anybody saw that one? Anyway, Aya and her pistol rocks.

September 5th - 1:00 PM Professor Ken slowly peeked in the reception hall which was now quiet and deserted. He had been staying in the faculty lounge all morning since he partly knows well how first days of school in Tokyo Academy are much like hell. His first day at this place was a baffling and not very famous story though. He remembered squezing his way out of all kinds of moving specie that bumped with each other. There wasn?t even an inch of free space to breathe in. He flipped and almost went mentally crazy as he as he struggled to get out of that raucous and god-knows-how-filthy room. That was all that's left in his memory. How he managed to get out of the place is a complete mystery to him. The next thing he remembered was being in the bathroom and cleansing himself the whole day after surviving a 10-minute war with dirt, bacteria and chaos itself. Rumor has it though that after he flipped, he stood quiet, totally unaware of what was happening around him. The tight crowd controlled and moved his body around the room for several minutes until the flow led him out. His consciousness came back by then and he panicked and shouted as he saw himself covered with all the germs the world could imagine. Steam went out his body rapidly pushing the crowd away from him and leaving a wide circle of space for him. A bold female freshman who looked like 10 approached him. "Can I help you sir?" The student asked with complete innocence and concern with watery eyes. Ken shot a glance at her with a sudden "Huh?" He thought for a while and scratched his head. "Hmmm... well...that is... erm..." By looking at how cluttered the reception hall was after students swarmed it on the first days of school apparently warned him of what he should expect for the rest of the year, and thus be well prepared for it. Just as expected. It?s the very picture of pandemonium. Unfortunately, things go from worse to worst, to the highest level, this year. He turned away with disgust written on his face. "Out for a little observation of students are we?" His eyes bulged as he found his face inches apart from Principal Gondo Okari's. "Wha...!" He quickly poised himself in a defensive, scared, and grossed-out stance. "Uh...Not really, sir. I...uh... was just headed home. So...uh... if you'll excuse me." He scurried out of the halls before the walking virus coughs and spread his untamed microbes all over the place. And so it was that another long year for Professor Ken Wu-Fan in Tokyo Academy has started...

God I suck at this but finally I found time to do it ^_^ Been struggling with offline stuff so much so apologies if things are not quite right. Correct me too ^_^x Name: Pedro de Balboa Age: 30 Ethnicity: Spanish Weapon of Choice: sword Appearance: With wavy jet black hair that hangs loose down his shoulders, black eyes and thin lips, Pedro has the typical handsome face of a Spaniard that captures the lot of women?s eyes whenever he is in battle. He has a slender but firm muscular physique hidden behind a long sleeved tunic topped with black bolero. Biography and Personality: Pedro de Balboa, a docile lover of art, was born in Spain but migrated early to Rome in hopes to be famous and known as a great court poet. The greater numbers of his poems though are violent satires attacking the loose morals of most wealthy and high class citizens of Rome. And so it was that they used power and manipulation so his name will never reach the emperor. He soon went poor and unknown, barely surviving, earning little with labors pertaining to his known line of intelligence and bearing personal grudge to those filth who made him that way. He met and befriended a lone retired professional gladiator after doing several labors for him. Their conversations are mostly of the life of the retired old man who grew quite fond of him. Now being a gladiator never crossed his meek mind but he was as good as a slave and being a gladiator and a free man at the same time, often found popularity and patronage to those who love the sport. He readied himself of the kind of life he is about to take. The old man taught him the basics of fighting. His strength soared in several practices and battles naturally as if he was born to be a gladiator. He also changed his identity a little. He now produces poems of sweet tones with graceful turns of thought, winning the hearts of lots of women in and out of the battle ring. Now he is determined to make himself known to the emperor and to Rome. Capture their hearts through his strength and prose. And put those responsible for his meagerness in their rightful places. Hmm... I see a slight female's touch to this sign-up... Dunno if that's a good or bad thing though...
