yeah I've actually read a lot of those posts discussing reasons for the 'not' side but I have my own suspicions against them. I mean just on the first one about
Lelouch possibly gaining Charles' Code. I'm pretty certain that when someone gains an immortals Code they then lose the ability to use Geass and even then Lelouch code still use Geass. I'd also have to go back and check but I'm also pretty certain that whenever a immortal was "killed" in the series then there was no blood.
With the number of times it happened to C.C. I don't remember any blood from the wounds. I'd have to go back and double check for the Charles incident as well. As for the whole R.R. thing, where did that come from? I assume there was some sort of reference I missed in the last ep. But yeah way too many questions left unanswered even for the finale of a series. edit: Actually the way CC is
talking to lelouch at the end of the episode reminds me of how she used to speak to Marianne during season 1

firstly like the new banner/avatar gavin. As for the ending of Code Geass I must say that no matter how much of a bastard Lelouch became during season 2, and I believe it was more prominent then season 1, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Or maybe it was me just feeling sorry for Nunally since what happened to him directly affected her. In some sense it was always expected by me that things would turn out this way. I guess the 3 things going through my head for the last 12 eps was that one of 3 things would happen, 1) Kallen and Suzaku would kill each other in combat,2) Lelouch would die to Suzaku or 3) CC and Lelouch would end up together. I guess I got one of them...sadly in my mind I was hoping for 3 haha. As for what you said Gavin
I'd almost say it's a given that Lelouch actually died, but while we're not shown a grave or anything at the end we're also not given anything to suggest that he lived. Also before he died the flashes suggested he was seeing his life's events appear before his eyes.
One of the things that irritated me about the ending though is that they kept giving Rivalz the chance to tell Milly how he feels about her (since it's obvious he loves her) but nothing comes of it whatsoever. Overall though I found the second season to be inferior to the first but still watched it because I wanted a proper ending and not some massive cliffhanger. Now just to watch the last ep of macross Frontier which I've enjoyed more XD Edit: Oh loved the irony in the end that
Orange-kun had an orange farm
I actually found this series good to up the wtf factor within my life. While it started off seeming like a whole neo-noir type thing the changes between each episode, the storyline with the angel's, the whole immortality thing and a bunch of other points really added up to blowing my mind away. However while I thought Rin was great my favourite character was Mimi.

Well 12 eps seems to be the official total according to an updated aniDB. Hopefully we get a second season at some stage though.
I think you mean rights to air. Bandai has both seasons licensed, meaning both will be dubbed and out on DVD at some time, but Adult Swim has the right to air it on TV. :3
Actually I'm meaning both. For one the main (and almost only) company that licenses anime in Australia, madman, takes a while to do it. We also rarely see anime on TV, the vast majority of it being the stuff for children such as Pokemon. There is finally an exception to this with a station showing the horrible Death note dub, but that's only for those with HDTV or set-top boxes. But at the moment I think we still have like a 2-3 month wait for even the first of the season 1 DVDs to be released here, let alone waiting for an announcement for the licensing of season 2. (note: I don't have the income for pay TV so I don't know what adult swim shows in Aus at the moment but last I knew it was stuff like Robot chicken)

lucky americans...and here in Aus we've only just had season 1 licensed. Read the article to discover why I say this. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-08-13/code-geass-r2-anime-sequel-to-run-on-adult-swim-in-u.s

I'm putting ep6 down as one of my favourites in the series along with eps 2 and 3. They're the eps that have actually made me laugh the most. At the moment it has been suggested that its only going to be a 13 ep series but nothing seems to have been confirmed yet.

I started watching this today and I must say after 2 eps it is absolutely marvelous. I've been looking for a good comedy like this for a while. Haven't laughed this hard since watching Hayate no gotoku. I must say though that ep 2 has one particular scene I wouldn't mind screen shotting and placing in the anime out of context thread. I'm sure you know what scene Desbreko.

Anime Anime Out of Context (image heavy)

@ Sabrina Looks like the pic you've linked is from the Vampire Knight anime. -
MMOs would be a little harder because most people would be split of numerous servers, As for tournaments I'd love to see another SSBB tournament some stage after the Pal version has been released really sucks that we're about 4 months behind because they couldn't be bothered doing a global release like they did with Mario kart.

I must say that I'm impressed with the first movie. At least from the animation side. I found the animation to be superb especially the textures of the decrepit building. Story seemed a bit vague in parts but at the same time I've been told that the movie caters primarily for those who have already read the novels. The preview for the second film however has me extremely intrigued and I can't wait for it's DVD release.
And it was only briefly but you get a glimpse of Shiki's vision when she is seeing the "lines" in beings.
Filler arc makes Meggido a sad panda. From the first ep I just say Yuck. At the moment however I'm wondering how it's gonna fit in with the overall story.
I mean we have Ichigo and Co. back in the real world but we also have the 3 missing captains.
So basically at the moment depending on where Orihime is it's either falling just before she is kidnapped or just after. However it's confusing in that it's just after
Hitsugaya's team returns to Soul Society which occurs after Orihime disappears.
The lack of continuity is destroying my brain. Sadly I think in destroying the continuity they've kind of done what Naruto did with its 80 odd fillers at the end of series 1. At least it's no longer going to tie in with the manga if they place it after the recent "storyline" eps.

With the first worldwide competition started what have people been getting for times? I finally got time to have a go at it this morning but the best time I could muster was 2mins. I'm amazed at the best at the moment being 1min 35 secs.

I finished it yesterday. I must say that the final boss is one of the most fun and intense boss fights I've ever had. While there are a few plot holes and one character I really want to know more about the ending was closed enough that Square could get away with not making a sequel. However I hope they do.

I'm playing this now and absolutely loving it. The battle system is the most intuitive thing in a long while. I also have to say that I think this is the best square game in a long time. A lot of their recent releases have had me feeling like they were going downhill but this completely takes the cake. I'm about 50% through the game (I think) and already hoping they make a sequel.

I've been going through the cups and I have to say that the frequency of the cpu getting the really good items is annoying. I've had a few times where I've been hit by a blue shell, lightning bolt, and pow block in succession, not including the other combos of items that have come with a blue shell (or 2 blue shells in quick succession). I've heard that nintendo on the other hand have really improved with the online play on this game with minimal to no lag, but that could also be to do with connection speeds as I'm yet to play online. I've only done 50cc and half of 100cc though. need to finish off the 100cc classic races. The only thing I find annoying about this version of Mario Kart which is similar to my problems with Mario Kart DD, is the fact that we don't get the long tracks anymore. Nothing like rainbow Road from Mario kart 64 which is by far my favourite track.

Anime My Mama Always Told Me Stupid is as Stupid Does...
Meggido replied to The Spectacular Professor's topic in Otaku Central
I have to laugh hard at that. Especially the fact that when he says pokemon is only about capturing exotic animals the first thing that came to my mind was rugrats was about a bunch of babies getting into way too much trouble, and angry beavers (god bless that show) is about some crazy beavers who never had a message to tell. For one he definitely doesn't know his literature (for one literature encompasses more then books to clarify this point I'm making) as he is only scratching the bare surface of these shows he's dissing. He's not looking beyond the general basic storyline. Ok DBZ might have been your average heroes saving the day like say batman or spiderman, but something like pokemon actually teaches children that friendship is a good thing, and that we should have equality between people, races, species, etc. Ok I'll stop before someone says that I'm reading too much into things. lol, well I am a lit student :P -
I'd have to say no matter how much I prefer Lelouch over Light, it's just hard to see how Light could not win. Apart from both being highly intelligent Light just has nothing to lose. Light is willing to Sacrifice everything he has including loved ones, family, etc to achieve his goal. However Lelouch has shown that he is not willing to sacrifice certain people/aspects of his life to obtain his goal. he may be crazy but he's still more human then Light.
I watched ep2 of S.A just now—and then promptly deleted it as I decided to drop the series.
Lol I basically did the exact same thing.I mean I've been watching a lot of romance anime recently and the ones that annoy me are the ones where the relationship is primarily based on the characters dislike for each other. I can just see every ep of Special A being more situations for competitions until they get close enough to reveal their feelings to each other. I mentioned before the three main ones I'm watching but I didn't mention that I'm also watching Kanokon. No matter how little Ecchi I usually watch this anime can't help but make me laugh out loud. Continuing from Last season I still have Mnemosyne (damn one ep a month, and Persona: Trinity SOul (starting to get interesting again).

I'm waiting for episode 2 of Special A to make my final decision. On stuff you haven't mentioned though two big sequels out are Code Geass R2 and xxxHOLiC: kei. R2 basically picks up a year after the first season ended, with Zero proclaimed dead and Lelouch living a normal high schooler life with his brother Rollo. Not much is answered in the first ep however ep 2 tells a different story. xxxHOLiC: kei, on the other hand continues with the manga (but like the first series doesn't have the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle link). However at this stage the events are less episodic and a lot more linear in fashion. Starts off with what I think is one of the best arcs of the manga. The Other one I'm watching that hasn't been mentioned is Vampire Knight. I'm not sure what to say my impressions are of this yet, but it is supposedly one of the big anime of the season. Simply it's a shoujo anime which I don't usually have much interest in (well maybe not true), about a school where there is a day class that is full of humans and a night class full of vampires. I read a good portion of the manga after the first ep and it looks like it could be a promising series.
-
Well I'm pretty sure the end of episode 2 answers your question regarding that picture Ikillion. Actually I enjoyed ep 2 immensely, even to the point that I was laughing a little maniacally at the end. And finally we got some answers. Actually I kind of picked one aspect of the flashback after episode one but at least it is now confirmed. I think the big questions still on my mind though are what happened to Nunnally and V.V., and how did C.C. make her own escape at the end of season 1?

Ep 1 of Code Geass R2 Aired in japan yesterday.

I'm about to watch the first ep with no real idea what to expect. Since over where I live the persona games don't really get a mention and we get very few of the shin megami tensei games it's going to be a complete mystery. However I've heard extremely good thing about the game so thought I'd check out the anime. I should chip my ps2 to get it imported. Anyway I'll add my impressions after I watch the first ep.

Recently finished playing Metroid Prime 3 (i got a wii for christmas finally). Main games I'm playing at the moment though are Twilight Princess (wii version). I traded in my gamcube version and picked up the wii version of the game. Some people wonder why but I like to think I had some logic behind that descision. Also playing Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games as a sort of I want something fun to do game. Almost unlocked all event and it's great to own a game with sonic characters again. The big one for me at the moment though is Mario Galaxy. Currently have about 64 stars, unlocked the engine room and I want to get as close as possible to having all stars before facing off against the final battle. It's a bit easier then Mario 64 or Sunshine, but it's a hell of a lot more enjoyable.
