1. My first contact was through Neopets. I wasted so many hours of my days, and days of my life fixing up my [anime] guild, building userlookup-layouts for me [and other people], and just playing with the cute little pets! By having a Neopets account, I was forced into learning to do graphics in MS Paint [This was before I got a competent program], and building layouts. Neopets layouts were also the introduction to HTML for me. Fun times. I think I was eight. I didn't get PaintShopPro until I made my OtakuBoards account, I think it was about a year and a half/two years ago. My current obsession is the dreaded MySpace. [Click.]
 2. The closest [and only] person near me is RiflesAtRecess, and he's in an entirely different state. Heh. Well, this is pretty awesome. I love to see where people live. The only people on OB I've actually met is GuadoGuardian [Now WavemasterTsuka], YellowBarchetta, and OliverWhip [Now Brooklyn]. I knew all of them before we made OB accounts, though, so that doesn't really count. Meh. But seriously, this is pretty neat =D
 3.
All these pictures that you have taken, Sakura, are totally neat. The quality is awesome and the picture poses are totally nice. You are so awesome at everything, you are now my new hero. XD Anyways, I really like all your pictures because they are just totally awesome. I really like the 'heart' picture and the purple one. Your cat, by the way, is so adorable!![/SIZE']
Thank you so much for the comments!! Yeah, my kitty is awesome. [I got bored one day and made her a MySpace page, click here to view it XD]
And, I just have to say it, I think that you are a very pretty person. Do you get asked out much? I would think so because you are very pretty. And no, everyone, I'm not gay. XD[/SIZE']
Hah, actually, no. I've only been asked out twice in my life.
As for the black and white one with bits of red, I'd recommend taking away the brushing and coloring in only the designs on your shirt. I think that'd be pretty awesome.
That's a pretty awesome idea! I didn't even think of doing that, I was just randomly brushing because the black and white looked bland, lol.
I would also recommend that you try a few photos like "Purple" but without the camera -- you'd have some seriously kick*** photos then. Keep it up.
Yeah, I know. It's hard to do ones like that, because I know noone who will pose, and noone who's patient enough to take pictures of me. I'm kinda stuck doing it with a mirror until I find an 'assitant.' Heh. I'll edit with some more pics once I get home from my debate class, but I just wanted to thank everyone for the awesome comments!
 4.
Yet I can't stop laughing at the last picture. I just have a feeling that cat is going to jump on me and tear my body into shreads until nothing is left but the pulp of what was once a human! -gasps-[/size']
Hahahaha, my cat is evil. I love her =]
well the first one is intresting. Yet I am slightly wondering how you took it, seeing as their doenst seem to be a mirror close by the picture and you are apparently in half of it. The second one just makes me wonder what you could have been saying though.. there are just so many possiblities..[/size']
I just held the camera out in front of me. That's why it turned out kinda fuzzy, because I couldn't really see what I was doing. Well, I took a few more earlier. I messed around with them in paint shop pro a bit =] (
 5.
Darn, scolded by the critics. Yep, it was supposed to be mildy amusing, but it's obviously gone way over your head.
It didn't go over his head, it just wasn't funny. Sorry, but it wasn't even mildly amusing. Edit- Hah, DW posted before me. *Laughs* Dunno, I guess this story could be salvaged... But as it is, it's a whole lot of nothing.
 6. Wow, I haven't really been on OB much lately. I've been pretty busy, but I've recently gained an obsession with my mother's digital camera =] ["I love you, kitty!!!"] [Censorship] [Scary, huh?] Heh. I wasted a whole Saturday morning taking random pictures =/ If you've got comments or suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
 7. - Where I live, someone under the age of 18 can only marry someone over the age of 18 if one of the two parties is pregnant. The only way for one of them to be pregnant is for them to have sex with each other, which is illegal. - A sixteen year old dating a seventeen year old can have sex with them as much as they want, but once the seventeen year old turns eighteen, they can't have sex anymore [legally] until both parties are eighteen. At least that's how it is where I live. I dunno about you guys, but I think that's pretty messed up.
 8. This looks disgusting to me. It's just manipulation and mutilation of the human body in disturbing ways. Simply disgusting.
 9. Mimminx Avatar- 8.5/10 Banner- 7/10 I think you did an amazing job cropping out the avatar, but the banner isn't nearly as nice. If it wasn't for the avatar, I wouldn't even know what was going on in the banner. It's just... Too plain, and cropped poorly. But, since it does go so well with the avatar, I did give you a 7.
 10. I've said 'I love you' to someone when I didn't mean it. It wasn't intentional. I was caught up in the moment, he had told me that he loved me, and I just said it. We were [and still are] best friends. Saying those three little words almost obliterated our entire relationship. I'd promised myself not to get involved with him like that. We dated a little while, even though I didn't know what I really felt for him. I sort of un-intentionally led him on. I know he'll see this, so I'd just like to apologize. Once I realized that I did love him--but as my best friend, not lover--I broke his heart. Three little words can be the most desrtuctive things there are. The only other non-family members I've told that I love them are my boyfriend [because I really do love him with all of my heart], and my best friend Amanda. But I love her, too. Not in a romantic way, of course, but she's basically the greatest thing since sliced bread. Everyone loves her =]
 11.
That's funny... I don't EVER remember mentioning disliking Green Day. I'm not sure how "we could all know I don't like them" if I didn't say anything about not liking them...
Heh, sorry 'bout that. I suppose I just jumped to conclusions, due to the snoring smiley in your first post in the thread, and the 'Green Day doesn't have mosh pitts' comment. I just assumed things too quickly. Lol. My apologies.
 Ah, the irony (and truth) of this statement is so beautiful. Everyone wants to be different - thus defeating the purpose completely and entirely.
Yeah, it's riddiculus. But that's how it is nowadays. Less and less people are liking music for the music, but rather for being able to say 'Yeah, I like so-and-so' to either 'fit in' or 'be different'. It's both sickening and hillarious at the same time.
And to finalize this, what's the deal with being offended when it comes to band bashing?[/I'] It's simply a difference in musical taste. People bash on my favorite bands all the time because, simply put, Metal is generally socially unnacceptable and misunderstood ("SLiPkNOt is teh metalzorz" being an example here). I understand that people aren't going to like or even try to understand it - this is just how it goes. Everyone needs to chill when they see their favorite band being dissed on. When I hear someone say "Children of Bodom sucks" or "Ensiferum is lame", I shrug and say "to each his own".
Because, when it comes to a popular band like Green Day, most people only bash or love them because they're popular. It seems like it has little to do with the music anymore. That's why I get offended. If you have an actual reason you don't like them, go right ahead and let my know. For all the people who don't, I say they shouldn't even be talking to me.
 12. I think I'll keep a collection of my [terrible] poetry here. Fun, fun. Choke [My last suicide note] You choke down your misery. I choke down your lies. You choke down your medication. The only thing left keeping us alive.
Do you even care? Do you even understand?
The blade pierced my flesh. There is no more pain. There are no more tears. There is no more time.
Calling out one last time. Choking now, on my own blood.
Don't tell me you love me. It's too late. You can't take back the past. This is the end. That's all for now. Comment, if you so wish.
 13.
I'm weird when it comes to popular things...I take pride in not liking what lots of people do. So, I like that I don't like their new stuff.
That's what I'm saying. Taking pride in not liking something everyone else happens to like at the moment. Why should it matter if everyone likes it or not? That's how people are defining unique nowadays, is different. And the statement you made actually helps my point. People [teenagers] these days would do most anything to be 'unique', but the definition of 'unique' is slightly different. Everyone just wants to, as I stated before, deviate from the norm.
That's strange, that article didn't say that this afternoon. It used to say something about "ignorant people (and the band themselves) think that they are punk rock and they are not." I guess they changed it for the insulting part. I don't really see Green Day as punk anymore, but I'm not the authority on such a thing either. I know that they definitely aren't pop; they're more..."alternative rock," I guess.
Hm. I think they're just as punk-influenced as they ever were. Most of thier songs still belong in the punk genre, I believe. Not some of the crap that was on American Idiot, but the few songs they really shined in were most definitely punk. [Please listen to- Saint Jimmy, She's a Rebel, Jesus of Suburbia, etc. Not Wake me up when September Ends, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, or Give me Novicane. I'll agree, those are pushing the 'punk' limits.]
 14.
*Throws rocks at you* Green Day is pop punk, currently. Their earlier stuff may have been punk, but I never liked them enough to bother to listen them much. If you want punk, listen to some Black Flag. I am. :) (Although their later stuff is catagorized very oddly.)
*Ignores the fact that you just threw rocks at a person you've never talked to in your life* Listen to some of thier stuff. Not the crappy 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' or 'Wake me up when September Ends'. Listen to Saint Jimmy. Listen to Jesus of Suburbia. It's a hellovalot more 'punk' than some of thier older stuff. I hate that people automatically don't like Green Day, just because they're popular right now. Everyone wants to 'be unique', but if being unique means bashing music I actually like just to deviate from the norm, then I'd rather be monotonous. Even you just said you never bothered to listen to thier stuff, so I see no reason whatsoever that you have the right to judge. By the way, I am familiar with Black Flag. Not bad, definitely not bad. I've heard much better, though, I must say.
 15.
and fourth, i don't want to date the popular girls for popularity because i'm already popular and i just want a " hush hush" status for now,so i'm dating my best friend that's right my best friend :animeblus :animeblus :animeblus :animeblus
*Glares* I'll be honest with you. If you're dating now becuase you want a 'hush hush' status, that's just as bad as dating to be popular. I thought you said you loved her. Nice way to think of love, jerk. Oh, and oftentimes, your boyfriend/girlfriend is your best friend. They are the person you love most, are most intimate with [hopefully], and they know you the best. I know my boyfriend is definitely one of my best friends. I'd just like to add one more thing, if you don't mind. You're right, you don't need help. You need a reality check. Get out of your little 'I am so great, I can have any girl I want' fantasy, and [dare I say it?] GROW UP.
 16. I was babysitting all my step-dad's friend's kids. Five of them. All under the age of seven. But I got online, so I could talk to my boyfriend right away, since I didn't know what number to call [He's in DC, and his phone only works in the Atlanta Metro Area =/]. Once the ball dropped, though, he called me from one of his aunt's cell. So... The first thing I did in the New Year was tell my boyfriend that I love him, and Happy New Year. Overall, not a bad New Year's Eve. I can't wait for him to get home =]
 17.
Hey, there ain't nothing wrong with hardcore Christians. There's nothing wrong with someone who really loves God -- there's something wrong with it when you become a Pharisee. Sodom and Gomorrah was Old Testament, and I really don't feel like reiterating what that means to a Christian... and I'm sure you know that while OT is important, the NT is what you should be paying a bit more attention to. As for whether people are born gay or become gay - who cares? Why does it matter? They're people. If that's the way they swing, then fine with me. Sure, I feel a bit uncomfortable when I see two gay guys kissing, but I'm not going to call them sinners. I'm also completely for same-sex marriage. Love is love. orbindo, you should understand that the United States of America has no national religion, therefore it is not right to push Christian teachings and beliefs upon those who may or may not share those values. They aren?t Christian, so why should they follow your Christian belief that it should not be allowed solely because it is ?sinful.? Jesus never crammed His teachings down his disciples? throats ? he taught them, encouraged them, and helped them. Never did he force them to ?pick up their cross? and follow Him. Their actions were entirely voluntary. What you?re doing is being a Pharisee ? you follow rules to the letter, overlooking the simple fact that they?re human, they love one another as a straight couple, and statistically stick together more than straight couples). You?re living in the past. Gay marriage is inevitable in the future ? the same was thought about segregation and religious freedom in America. One day, our children won?t be able to fathom times when gays were unable to marry freely.
There's nothing left for me to say, Retri's said it all. I agree with every word =)
 18.
Similarly, when you are fifteen, I don't care what you think[/i'] you know; you are not ready to accept much responsibility or take on much of life's challenges. Just enjoy the fact that you are still young and that school is 'relatively' easy. Enjoy the fact that after 3:00 (or whenever school gets out) you have the whole day to yourself, and that summers are a time for you to relax.
Hahahahaha... I wish that's what my life at 15 was like. I homeschool so I can do school at night and have enough time to work 5 days a week [I don't work on Wednesday, I have my college prep classes]. I'm graduating this year [hopefully], so my school load has more than doubled. I work school through the summer. Mom figures I shouldn't waste my life doing nothing. It's a good thing I like being busy and 'acting my age', otherwise I'd go nuts =P
Most of all, appreciate what you have- it very well be as good as it gets if you don't.
Amen.
 19.
Green Day has mosh pits? I never went to a Green Day concert. I'm sorry but i happen not to like pop rock or punk rock or w/e category they happen to be in.
This thread was originally started about Green Day. Yeah, Green Day has mosh pitts. And, for the record, Green Day had never been [and never will be] pop. Green Day is Punk Rock. Just so you know. I'm only bringing this up because I know Jakehammaren would throw rocks at me if I incorrectly placed any Metal band, I've seen enough of his posts to know. Lol.
Trust me, Green Day doesn't have mosh pits. The kids in the crowd might like to think they do, but they don't.
We all know you don't like Green Day. Good for you. I personally don't like most of the music you like [some metal is alright, depends on the song], but I haven't ever bashed any of your favorite bands just for the hell of it =/ Just 'cause we aren't metal-heads doen't mean we can't enjoy a mosh pitt. Lol.
 20.
Gender is in your head, sex is in your pants. They don't always match.
I completely agree. Also, I don't know the scientific term for it, but occasionally there's a baby born with both types of genetalia... And the parents get to make the decision on sex. Then, really, if they chose the wrong sex, you'd be a woman trapped in a man's body, or a man trapped in a woman's. This case is very rare, obviously, but I've heard about it some before. Anywho, I totally agree with everything Boba Fett said.
 21. Amen to that, Retri. Amen to that. I like to debate, but I don't go looking for fights. And whether or not you'd be considered a 'bad guy' depends on your definition of 'bad guy'.
 22. Hm. I'm not really interested in guys just because they're physically attractive. I'm not bashing anyone who said they liked a girl who's attractive--It's just not something I think of. Generally, it's the hot guys that treat a girl like crap. Not trying to generalize... I'm just saying this form experience. I'm more a sucker for someone smart. Someone who knows what they want. I need a guy who can make me know what they're feeling just by looking at me the right way. And, very thankfully, I found just the person who can do that for me. He's, sadly, in Washington DC right now. It's been quite a few weeks since I've seen him, but he still leaves me breathless every time we talk. Even if it's just an email.
 23. I don't happen to like either or the animes, just so you know. The following applies to the mangas only, even though this is in thing Anime Lounge. I just don't even think the animes are good enough to deserve a mention. Naruto manga- The naruto manga has a nice, choppy art style. It's very fast-paced and doesn't put too much focus on romance, but there's still a touch of it here and there, which I happen to enjoy. The manga, fast paced as it may be, moves slow through the storyline to put emphasis on everything that happens. InuYasha doesn't do that, it moves through enemies as quick as possible to get to the next dillema. I love the inner struggles each main character faces, as well. In the manga right now, Naruto
is struggling unknowingly with his fox demon, while Sazuke is trying to contain the curse Orochimaru put on him.
Not to mention Sakura's inner fight
in choosing either Sazuke or Naruto.
You see this more when they're fighting, and I noticed a few lines in the
Sazuke, Naruto/Zabuza
battle that Sakura murmured under her breath sort of fore-shadowing this struggle. InuYasha manga- I think the manga was put together much better than the anime. The manga moves slow enough to where you get all you can out of every scene, where the anime cuts out bits to fit episodes into that nice, 30 minute block. This manga moves at a nice pace, and it has a good diversity of characters. I don't, however, like the poorly done and predictable storyline. It bugs me to no end. Overall, though, I think they're both well done Mangas, and it's a difficult choice. In the end, I think Naruto is a bit more enjoyable to read, though. But DNAngel, Gravitation, Chobits, I.D.Entity, Ragnarok, FLCL, and Cowboy Bebop kickes both of thier ***** any day.
 24.
I will speak on behalf of hte men here, Real women aren't very resposive to us. Trust me on this. I'm not into Hentai and I never will be, but some guys just are too afraid of real girls to bother to talk to them. Trust me, of all of life on the earth, none are more frightening then a teenage girl.
Not responsive? Pffftttt, most guys are just assh*les. Not pointing fingers at you, you seem to be alright, but most guys are simply idiots. Do you disagree? Well, you shouldn't.
Sex sells. This is simply the truth of the world, and as sad as it is, it's the explanation for all these sexual animes and Hentai imparticular. But anyway, That's all I have to say on be halef of my gender, real women are cruel and unsympathetic. There are no rewards for the bold nerd other then an eldow in the face and a demeaning remark. If your a nerd, your chances witha teenage firl are slim to none.
I'd like to think I'm not cruel and unsympathetic. You're generalizing women. Don't bunch me with every other female on the planet, I don't appreciate it. And, just so you know, I've never turned down a guy because he was a 'nerd'. I've dated all sorts of guys, and they've all burned me. Nerd, jock, goth, punk, it's all the same to me. If a girl only cares about stupid things like that, they're just not worth it.
also to the ohter guy what did you mean that they get back problems? You mean implants? Well those are actually made to be light.
The ignorance and girl-bashing in this thread makes me want to hurt someone. *Hits Avenged666fold and Starwind with baseball bat* There, now I feel better.
 25.
I been to a few mosh pit concerts. Is true what Goddess says you can release alot of anger. I guess is easier to bash it on a person you don't know in the mosh pit because people bumping into you in stuff. I guess is what state of mind the music puts you in. My happpens to be in a playful and agressive play. I'm just a freak like that lol I think I broke an arm once someone made me fall on the floor very hard. I few people stepped on my hair (i have long hair). So no one ever had a mosh pit incident?
Yeah. Green Day concert 2005. Atlanta GA. Damn girls almost ripped my hair out. Y'see, we were there hours early. We were some of the very first people in the stadium. Right by the stage... So close, I could touch it. Once everyone else got in, though, I got smashed up against it and coudn't see half the time. Other than that, not major injuries. I did get many elbows in the ribs, though. And I got shoved back after about 30 minutes in. Meh. I couldn't see the rest of the time. I'm only 5"2'. But I got to crowd-surf. Awesome. Got dropped right on the cement, though.
