I've only really had one best friend. Curse my inability to communicate with people I don't know =/ My best friend, coincidentally, lives a few acres away. We live in a sort of lower-middle-class neighborhood across the street from a trailer park, lol. I met him almost seven years ago, when we first moved to Georgia, USA. We didn't go to the same public school or anything, but we met through a common friend. Before I tell you the rest of the story, you must realize that we were both (and still are) a little strange. I never had ANY friends, he didn't have many either. At first, he was really mean to me. I didn't like him at all. We were eight. After hanging out with him for a few hours (Pure torture. But our 'common friend' and my little brother both liked him... So I kept my mouth shut.), I got a bit fed-up with him. I left the situation. Eventually, he found me in the backyard or wherever (I can't really remember) and I was talking to my... Erm... Imaginary friends. Not just any imaginary friends, though, they were Poke'mon. Yup. I used to have battles with them in my head. Turns out, he did basically the same thing. That very same day, we had a battle out loud. Noone won, it was just kinda nice to know I could talk to a real person instead of air for once. For the next few years, we got really good at playing the Poke'mon card game and game-boy game, and we built huge structures in our sandbox (We have pictures, they're amazing!). We played with Poke'mon toys in those structures. We had literally hundreds and hundreds of those little plastic toys. They filled up nearly FOUR grocery bags! (One for me, one for my friend, one for my brother, adn one for the really big ones that didn't fit in the first three bags ;)) Looking back, I realize how Poke'mon obsessed we were. I never knew how bad it was at the time...

Wow, that's big. Do you know for sure that she was cheating on you, or did you just hear it from someone? Considering that you live far away from each other, it is very hard to give you advice on what to do. Also, if you put into consideration the things you told me over PM, things become even more complicated. I think you should try to work things out with your girlfriend if you can, but some broken hearts just can't be fixed. The most important advice I could ever give you would be to TAKE THINGS SLOW. Let your heart heal. Before you rush into ANYTHING (Ending relationships or starting new ones) make sure you thought it through.

As for creativity my vote goes for the "anymore" one, but the colours and image throw me as I'm not a big fan of it (mainly because I don't know who she is probably).
Ah, that's Kelly Clarkson. They are lyrics from her song 'Behind these Hazel Eyes'. Every time I use her, noone knows who she is... I guess I just use bad pics? Meh. Same with these ones- (I was just wearing this one not too long ago =D) Okay, here's another one I did, I took one of the avatars (with permission, of course) from the Invisionfree library of default avatars, and made a banner to go with it. The quote is from the Pop-Tart commercials. And here's a few more random ones. And here's something I did a looong time ago... Just posting to see what people think, as I never really got feedback on it. And this is something I did on vacation, seeing as I had no computer and had to use my father's... And it didn't have my beloved PSP on it... I nearly died, I swear. (Yeah. It got that bad.) Yet again, + - crit. always welcome.

I may not be the best speller-person-dude in the universe, but at least I know where question marks go... =/ Back on subject. Yes, I consider myself christain. No, I don't think Bush is the anti-christ. Yes, I think the end of the world will eventually come, maybe even soon. No, I don't think it will be in any of our lifetimes. Also, I have a theory. I don't think that people go straight to heaven when they die. I think that the souls are resting until judgement day, when we will ALL be judged. In the bible somewhere it says that the angels are preparing for the arrival of God's followers, so how could they still be preparing if people are sifting in once they die? I know there are a kazillion arguments to that, but that's my theory. You can't argue with an opinion. That would be like trying to convince someone that the color blue is ugly. If they like blue, they'll never agree. If they don't like blue, then heck! You've got something in common with them! Still, you can't argue with an opinion.
Thought I asked this, guess I didn?t? so, expanding on The Assassin?s thread. Does anyone like[/b'] someone on these forums? If yes, feel free not to say who.
Like? Sure. Love? Most certainly. I love my very best friend in the whole world (Both online and in person), and his username here is Brooklyn. He's not my boyfriend or anything, and I don't want him to be, I love him as my best friend. If you mean have a crush on, or have romantic feelings for, then that would sadly be a no. I'm not very good with people I don't know too well, and I don't know many people on OB enough to really like them as more than just a friend, unless it's someone I know IRL. And everyone I know IRL I don't happen to have crushes on at the moment. My question- Pepsi or Coke?

Hey! I can't believe it's been so long since I've done anything (Other than random doodling) in PSP! Wow. Well, I just made a few new banners/random things, I'd like to know what you think of them =) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v150/unmei_shinpai/death008.png (Too big to post... He absolutely loves Maple Story. This was kinda just a fun banner, I was teaching him how to use PSP and such. So... What do you think? + - crit always welcome!
I would make myself more outgoing and spontaneous. As I am now, I think things through a bit too much, and I can never take a risk if it puts me out of my comfort zone. I suppose mine is easy to change... but I don't like leaving my little bubble of comfort.
That's me, as well. But my problem is more that I don't particularly respond well to situations I can't control. That's more because my surroundings have made it easy for me to be that way, considering I'm a homeschooler and all. There's not many places I can go where I'm 'out of my element'. When I am, I generally don't do too well socially. I'm far too shy. Ah, well. I'm getting better as I grow older. I won't even get started on what I'd change physically, the list would be a mile long. Hair, nose, hips, etc. The only things I can honestly say I like about myself are my eyes. Meh.

Here you go. Not great, but I didn't know exactly what you wanted. If you don't like it, let me know and I'll make another one. I made it dark blue, not black. I hope that's alright. I'm really not good with really dark colors, I lean more towards light stuff... Oh, and I'm assuming you were making it for your MyOtaku site. If I assumed wrong, let me know, alright? -
I get paid minimum wage, which is $7.25 here in Oregon.
When I heard that, I choked on my Dr. Pepper. It took me ten minutes to recover. Minimum wage in Georia is two dollars less than that. *Wipes Dr. Pepper off computer screen* I wish I made $7.25.

I've worked at Chick-Fil-A (Weather you've heard of it or not depends upon where you live. It's only in specific parts of the US.) for almost a year. That's a long time, considering that I just turned 15 =D I guess I like it okay. I still only get minimum wage because of my age, but that's alright. It's the only place that would hire me at 14.

Green Day, hands down. They just have certain something that makes you want to scream until your throat hurts--Which I did! It's hard to believe Billie Joe's in his thirties, he looks so young! I also liked that Jimmy Eat World opened for them. They're alright. Better than most punk bands these days. Oh, and the REO Speedwagon/Styx concert a few weeks ago in Atlanta was good, too.
That's exactly my point, it is a pretty random assertion, and it is in such thinking that one can easily confuse personality types with sexuality types. In a thread meant to aid those in need of finding their sexual preference, such statements regarding personality traits (sterotypical or not in nature) should be left out of the conversation all together. I understand what both of you (Hug and Sakurasuka) are trying to say and yet at the same time even in jest mentioning personality traits commonly associated with various preferences can, in my opinion, only lead to confusion. I did not take Hug's post too seriously, I took it as would anyone randomly reading through the thread. I think it should have been left out of a sexual preference conversation.
Uuuuuhhhh... Excuse me? I wasn't steriotyping ANYONE. I think I was just trying to clear some things up for YOU. Yes, Tical admitted that he was steriotyping. Yes, I was admitting that steriotypes are quite a common part of homosexuality in most people's minds. Was I, myself steriotyping? I think not. Maybe Tical's post shouldn't have been brought up. But then again, why not? It was just a statement, I don't really see why you're so bent on bashing it.
Ah, I see. I didn't really take your statement as being a reference to men only. And speaking personally, I've noticed much more generalization about gay men (and women) than about bisexuals of either gender; I guess that's why it threw me for a loop... ~Dagger~
Oh, my appologies! You're right, I definitely didn't specify. Sorry for any confusion =D
-
But how is it a fact? I've never heard something like that before in my life, lol. I'm not trying to be PC here or anything--I'm just genuinely confused. From my perspective, it seems like a pretty random assertion to make. ~Dagger~
There are many steriotypes that apply to bisexual/homosexual men. 'Cutesy' and 'girlish' being two of them. They generally don't apply to most bisexual men, but they are steriotyped nonetheless. They are just steriotypes, definitely not proven fact, and definitely doesn't apply to most. But let's have Tical clear that one up. Isn't that what you were reffering to? And isn't that what persocomblues was reffering to as well? It's not just me.

I'd just like to say that a few of you, sarcastic or not, are a bit psyco. Excuse me being blunt. Total world peace is impossible. It will never happen, except by a miracle of God himself. Therefore, all that is said here is hypothetical. Since it will never really happen either way, voting for war is a vote for sheer violence. There isn't really another way to see it. If we are talking more realistic, peace by war is. If we are talking ideal, peace by love is. True peace, though, cannot be won through war. Since this thread is asking what you would want 'ideally', not 'realistically', it is absurd to bash those voting for peace by love! It is, essentially, the ideal, is it not?
With all due respect, I'm trying to figure out what you mean exactly so please don't take offense. But you're bisexual because it is "funer" and because it gives you "an excuse to be cute"? What does that even mean? Does all or some bisexuals act cute? Does any one of these terms have to act a certain way at all? I mean no offense to you I'm actually trying to figure some things out. It seems to me that a lot of people (in general not just on the forums) are saying they are bi, gay, or straight based on stereotypical reasons (bisexuals enjoying the best of both worlds, the ability for a guy to be feminine and cute and the ability for a girl to be rugged, and other personality stereotypes that hold no place in determining sexual preference). I'm not entirely convinced that qualifies as bisexual as a sexual preference.
I think you took his words a bit too literally. He was obviously reffering to the fact that bisexuals are generally more 'cutesy' than heterosexuals, but not necesarily in the pretenses in which you interpreted it. It was already established that Tical is attracted to both sexes, so his sexuality is apparent. He was merely making a joke. A (somewhat) steriotypical one, yes, but a mere joke nonetheless. By all means, Tical, correct me if I'm wrong.
No prob. If you really feel like you could/should do more, try taking her out more. Get her out of whatever situation she's in. I don't know the exact situation, but getting away usually helps. But I'm sure you've been doing that. You sound like a nice guy.
I PMed you this, but meh. Figured I'd post it anywho.

Just be there for her. That's all you can do, hun. All anyone really needs when they're down is a shoulder to cry on, maybe a therapist, but definitely some love. Be understanding, and don't give her too much advice. I speak from experience when I say that no advice is way better than too much/bad advice. Hope you guys are okay, good luck, etc.

I made an avatar, but you don't have to use it. I didn't know if you needed one or not ;) It's a bit different (And a touch pixelated)... But I think it's okay. Let me know if you need anything changed. I think I may make you another (hopefully better) set as well, so watch out for it!
Where can someone find a nice guy or gal in this world?
*Raises hand* I'm here, beautiful, and SINGLE! But... I'm not interested in dating right now.
The only thing I don't like is that how Dumbledore
was on the edge all the time... I thought he was supposed to be calm and collected![/spoiler']
Yeah... What was with that? He was SOOO not as good a Dumbledore as the last one. I agree that they have to cut stuff out, but honestly, why exactly did they
have Longbottom give Harry the Gillyweed, rather than Dobby? I mean, it's not as though it would have made much of a difference, but it just bugs me. Meh. I suppose if they had put Dobby in, they would have felt the need to add in Winky and S.P.E.W. and such...
But it still perturbs me. Anyway, I sort of noticed that the WHOLE movie was
about the Triwizard Tournament. I mean, other stuff went on too. And I think they could have done Krum's character a bit better.
The characters that I was simply amazed with this time around were
Cedric
,
Moody
, and
Fluer
. I think it was superb acting by our Harry, Ron, and Hermione as well. Let's all give them a hand =D Oh, another thing I noticed,
why are they trying to make Hermione all pretty all the time? I noticed it in the third movie as well, they're slowly making her hair less frizzy and more bouncy/curly. When they did the whole scene at the Yule Ball, she was supposed to be TOTALLY different, but she was just a little bit nicer looking.
That sort of makes me mad. I suppose it was a pretty good movie, all in all. If the Dumbledore was a bit better, I'd have to say the best, but... Seeing as he was my favorite, I can't really say that I was all that happy about that.

Alright, I'm working on a new manga. I don't know what to call it yet, but I'm sure I'll think of a name eventually. What I need help with is the story-line. I have the basic building blocks, but I'm having difficulties coming up with much else. I also need names of characters. I've got a few, but I've used them all in past series of mine, and they feel kind of worn-out (To me, anyway). The story beings in sometime around the present. The first scenes will be in a classroom. A girl, we'll call her Yumi for the time being, is sitting in her desk, chewing on the end of a pencil. A piece of paper hits her in the back of the head. She looks behind her. A cute guy with dark hair, we'll call him Shota, is innocently looking around the classroom. Yumi opens the ball of paper. Inside it is written something like 'Meet me after school', 'I have something you'd want to see', 'Meet me at 4, I have something for you', or something along those lines. A few random (unimportant) pages later, she's walking home with him. There's a few things that let you know they're good friends. Anyway, while they're walking home, he shows her this super-uberly big worn book. He explains that it's something from ancient japanese history, blah blah blah. Yumi's pretty excited about that. Shota says something like 'I saw it at -random store- and thought you'd like it. I know you're interested in that stuff...'. It turns out to be a diary from some ancient lord. Okay, I'll spare you the details, but it turns out the book takes them back to some paralell universe. They meet up with people that look just like Shota, Yumi, and a bunch of other people they know from thier time. Later they find out that the diary originally belonged to the Shota-double, who was some really important dude. There ends up being a load of incidents where Shota decides he has a thing for Yumi, but the Yumi 'double' openly likes Shota, and petends to be 'present-time Yumi'. A strange and confusing love-triangle if you've ever seen one ;) Upon looking over my original sketches, I realized that it was far too much like Fushigi Yugi. Can you guys help me out with that?

What do you like to do when you're not posting on the OB?
sakurasuka replied to a topic in General Discussion
I'm doing school, work, and a little more school. I homeschool, and I'm TRYING to graduate this year. I haven't taken my SATs yet, though. Right now, I'm ploughing through the remainder of my junior-year. I also babysit and I used to refferee soccer games. I made a good bit of money doing that. Oh, yeah, I work at Chick-Fil-A, too. Since I'm only 15, I can only work about 20 hours a week during the school year, but last summer I was doing 40 a week. It's pretty time-consuming, to tell you the truth. I also like to build websites. I haven't been able to much lately (since I shut down my own site, really), due to a massive-overload of homework. I guess the only other things I do are Roller Blade, Martial Arts, draw comic strips, watch TONS of movies, and hang out at the mall on rare occasions. That all pretty much fills my schedule. -
>_< Please everyone, call me Tical or Tickle, not Hug! O_o you guys are taking this way to far. I don't really care about all the psychialogical crap, I know this stuff, I'm a psychologist (in training) myself, I just wanted to know if I could call myself onmisexual or ubersexual or something or if I should just stick with bisexual. As for that whole sexual drive thing, well, I actually would prefer a relationship without sex. I just wanna hug, hence the banner.
Okay, look hun, you're fourteen (Or at least that's what your profile says). You really don't NEED to call yourself anything. You probably shouldn't be in any sort of serious phisical relationship with anyone, male or female, at this age. So, it's a good thing you just want to hug, essentially =P If you really feel the need to find a 'name' for it, I'd say bisexual. But until you seriously start dating, you don't need to label yourself. By that time, you'll probably have figured it out, anyway.

I like the idea of only two or three times a year on specified days. That whould make most people happy. Or you could have a specified one/two people who did name-changing only, rather than the two admins doing it. Then the 'name-changers' could regulate, and it'd be alot of weight off everyone else's shoulders. Just an idea. It's kinda dumb, but I'm pretty much just thinking out loud.
