Meh, I have the same problem with most of my banners, so I won't comment. I'm just judgemental, not a hypocrit ~_^ (By the way, if this banner was a touch smaller and Shippo was scooted over to the left, it may look fine without much text at all.) The background looks purposely kinda grainy, and that's not really a bad thing. The stock is super nice and had great quality, but there is one problem with it. Look arond the hair, do you see it? It wasn't smoothed out right somehow. It looks like you kinda just went around his hair with the little circular eraser brush. Nice banner overall. I'd give you a [B]7.5/10[/B][/SIZE][/CENTER]

Anywho, since this piece was obviously made for more of a reason than just 'Check this out' I'm not gonna critique the good/bad artwise stuff (It's really all good, anyway ~_^) Well, I have no idea what it's supposed to mean but here's my shot. (I'm a bit dull, so forgive me ^_^) The Grim Reaper is standing staring at a shooting star with the words 'Did I dream it?' underneath him. Now, if you keep in mind your Jerry the Loon animation, this is probably a crazy guy who thought he was the Grim Reaper. He wakes up and somehow realizes he isn't and thinks it's a dream, lol. Seriously though, from the pose he's in it makes him look... Like he's wondering about something. Like, 'What's that doing there?' or 'What the heck!?' So from that, I'd say it signifies 'Death' (The Grim Reaper) waking up from a fantasy about something a bit brighter. Alright, that's my shot. I really have no clue lol.[/SIZE][/CENTER]

[CENTER][SIZE=1][B]Kitty-[/B] Wow, this has to be one of your best pieces. I love the logo and the background. (Not to be a broken record, but) Like Retri said, it is a bit over-done on the right side. The black just contrasts too much with the light gray. It looks fine in the top right, but it isn't as thick with black strokes up there. Maybe if it was blended a bit better... Also, you might have wanted to go with a plain 2-dimentional looking font(s) for the 'Music, Take a Listen' text. The 3-d-ish look doesn't fit the theme at all. But the lyrics were a nice touch. [B]Sean-[/B] I like the colors. A lot. Again, I'm being a broken record, but it really does look grainy. Something else I would suggest is making the piece more banner-like (Cropping out the large areas of black and white) to focus on the colors and music notes. The font is pretty plain, but it matches, so I can't complain. There really is no focus, though. It is hard to make an image where the font is the focus. You are getting better and better and I do hope you keep it up ^_^ The mini banner things are probably my favorites out of everything you've done.(I really like Xion and Retri) I have nothing bad to say about any of these banners because they absolutely rock. Please fogive me- Wow, I love how you did the blood on that. Absolutely amazing. I would suggest maybe having just a solid red on the Please Forgive Me font and a more clear one on the other. [CENTER][SIZE=1]Hello all. I'm afraid I'm having technical difficulties with my laptop. It won't let me get online and it won't let me do much of anything. I attempted to fix the problem, but ended up deleting my virus protection and I am afraid to get on the internet with it out of fear of losing all my graphix and all the stuff I have done in wordpad over the months. Until I find my virus protection software or get the chance to go out and buy more disks to transfer my poster onto this computer, I am afraid I will have to withdraw from the competition. If I find it, it will be by tonight. Consider me officially dropped out by tomorrow if I haven't edited this post. Yet again, I am sorry. It has the slightest hint of a brown sugar/honey taste to it. Next would be any kind of chocolate. I actually like dark chocolates the best because they are so rich. Mostly they are at those who obviously haven't even glanced at the rules and post things that are offensive or have absolutely no meaning. I've been a member for almost 8 months now I guess ^_^ I had no problems when I was new (I didn't post much back then. Just mainly in the RPGs I was in) By the time I took full advantage of being a member of OB, my title was already 'Member'. I hope you see why people don't have much tolerance for the people who blatently disreguard the rules and see that noone has any problem with you. Everyone is friendly here on OB. One thing that really shaped us growing up though, was the Simpsons. We never missed an episode. My bro and I pretty much do the same thing now. I'll pop up some popcorn and he'll get out the icecream and we'll have a little sibling-hang-out-day and sit in the basement in our night-clothes watching the seasons over and over again, laughing. Simpsons are pretty much the only things we connect on anymore, sadly. *sigh* I also still watch 'Kiddie shows'. Not quite as much appealing as looking glass, but a nice piece. Since that effect makes everything so... Well, liquidy, it may be a good idea to either go light/colorful or dark/muted, since light/muted would look bad and dark/colorful (What yours is) doesn't flow as nicely as the first one. (looking glass) Yet again, may just be personal preferance. Crimson- I really like this one. The contrast in the dark feel and the brigt red (Being the only color) is pulled off AMAZINGLY. Also, I notice she is wearing a cross around her neck. Is this meant to have sybolic meaning, or am I just reading too far into things? Lust- I have nothing bad to say about this one, it's simply awesome. It perfectly portrays the danger, anger, ugliness and heartbreak that follows when you let lust lead you rather than love.[/SIZE][/CENTER]

You are apparently a good artist, and I'd love to see your freehand sometime. looking glass- Also nice. It looks a bit forced on the bottom left, like you were trying to make it look like the rest of the image. It looks kinda like you tried too hard to make it match the swirls on the top right. *srugs* Maybe it's just me, but I think that's why it looks particularly grainy in that area. Other than that minor detail (Though details count, that is one that is just personal preferance, so don't worry about it.) You have done an awesome job! You mentioned taking a collage course. [CENTER][SIZE=1]I'd just like to say that I absolutely love the first one (Of Kabuto) It's amazing how you used such a character with pink and made it look good. But on a not-so-happy note, I noticed a few... Mistakes? Or were they on purpose? Well, I notice there are a few random, pixelated splotches on his hair and on his face. That could have been used to make it look grungy, but how it was done just doesn't fit this image, if you even meant to do that at all. Another thing, look around the edges of his face. The background is kinda... Leaking into his outline. You did a good job with it in his hair, but not-so-good on his face. It just looks messy. Other than that, I just loves it. 8/10 I love the second one as well, it just isn't as appealing as the first because of the usage of pink. This one would have looked much better if the stock would have been above the white stuff. The bg just eats him up! It's really a nice piece, but that could be worked on. I'll comment more on it later, I have to go to work.[/SIZE][/CENTER]

Her outfit is really nice lloking, but 'clean' isn't the word I'm looking for, mostly owing to the fact that this is a more scetchy piece. Don't get me wrong, this piece is brilliant, but you want to get even better, right? Well, you get better by practice and listening to crit. Another thing I'd like to mention is the realistic feel of the hair and clothes. These were done perfectly, and match the background really nicely. Probably the only thing I'd change is the eyes. A different shape might fit this better, and definitely some more sparke and dimention.[/SIZE][/CENTER]

[SIZE=1][CENTER]revised- I like it much more this way. I like the little glow-dot-things, and the text looks a whole lot better now. Also, the background doesn't look as bare with the duplicated layer of Daisuke! Good job on that one, it looks super clean. read between the lines- This one I also like. One thing that could be changed about it though, maybe the lines could be a bit thinner so that the text doesn't look like it's trying to escape from between the blocks. The stock you used is awesome, but it's a bit more scetchy. Maybe the lines should be too? Ah, that's kind if personal preference. Well, I do like this one alot. I think it deserves a 9. Like I said, you're getting better by the minute. Keep it up and you could be great![/CENTER][/SIZE]
