Manga Manga idea < Feed back needed! what do you want?
sakurasuka replied to a topic in Otaku Central
Welcome to OB, Rodeo Miyavi! It really depends on your style as an ARTIST as well, of witch we know nothing about. Also, you should keep in mind that some things may be easier for YOU to work with, personally. As for me, I work well with more modern outfits, and less special effects... I'm not good at doing power-beams, but I rock at drawing scerene backgrounds and such. A similar thought, I'm not quite as good at drawing young children and adult men like I am at drawing pre-teens, teenagers and women. I am also quite experienced at drawing chibi/goofy people, so I rather like more of a loose/funny plot than something serious, in my own style. As for what people in general like, people like a diversity of all things. Me? I like something a bit darker, but that may just be because I'm so used to the loose and cutesy, I may just be crying out for something more serious. *Shrugs* By the way, this thread is alot more meaningful than many threads posted in this area, so I think it's fine. Good luck with your manga! I wish you many more helpful posts than mine, seeing as I didn't exactly answer your question... _Sakura_ P.S. An added thought, make SURE you don't have a manga too similar to InuYasha. Nearly every new manga reminds people of Inu, so it probably won't be all to popular if you do. Another added note, I was gonna enter in that contest last time, but I missed the deadline... -
Wow, that's awesome! *claps hands* Really, I love them! You rock, Ozy-san!

I've never let anyone do my banner/avi before, cuz I always make it myself... But I am REALLY in need of a change... I have NO pictures, PSP is on my laptop which I currently can't access the internet on, and I am just upset... The stupid comp. I'm currently limited to leaves me with nothing. Microsoft Paint won't even work right. Please help me... Alright, here we go: Sakura and Sazuke from Naruto. I need something kinda dreary/rainy/blurry. Blue and Purple, if possible. Y'know what would be cool? Sakura in all purple tones and Sazuke in blue, or the B/G just a swirl of blue and purple and the people colored normally.(One on each side) I want the avvie to say 'Sakura' in the bottom left in matching colors, and the banner to say 'Through all the rain...' in a kind of soft (not cursive) light colored font. Play with this a little, I'd like to see what you come up with... I won't be too picky and I'm not really gonna care if you tottaly change junk, I just thoguht I'd be specific to give you peoples ideas. There's some amazing artists on OB, so I know this is gonna be great ^^ Thanks bunches! _Sakura_

Anime Which Anime or Manga Hero you you like, love, respect,or whatever.
sakurasuka replied to foxfire_2008's topic in Otaku Central
I love Sesshomaru from Inuyasha, Because he is strong, brave, and kind deep down inside. He also seems cold at times which makes him alot like me, so thats mostly why I love him. And I hate, hate, hate, HATE KIKYO!!!!!! God, I can't stand her, she must die!! (again, for good)
*Slaps high-five* We should start an I-hate-Kikyo pact and start a mob. Mobs rule. We could throw eggs at stuff. Yay! (On with my post now...) I am helplessly in love with Shuichi Minamino from YuYuHakusho, aka Kurama. He is always calm, yet has an edgy side. I can't read the YuYu manga and see him without a little shiver running down my spine. Though my baby Shuichi is the one I love most, he's not my most respected manga character currently is Ino (Naruto) for her loving and selfless act towards
Sakura Haruno. Ino saved her biggest rival from demise, then helped her fix her horrid hair.
Gotta love that Ino! (Even with her HORRIBLE outfit... I hate it!) I adore many manga characters, actually. (One being Shuichi, but I'm not going to go into detail...) Well, Ai (Psychic Academy) would be both an adored and hated character. My reasons? Read on, my friend... Ai is sweet. He respects Orina and any other girl (He just seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, it seems... Making him appear... A tad perverted, at the very least.) The part I hat about Ai is that (And I don't know if this would really be spoiling anything since it's not that far along in the series, but what the hay?)
Ai seems to respect Orina and all, but since he's on the same WAVELENGTH as Ren, along with other things, it seems he's KIND OF cheating on Orina. Like the time they were both in the 'Love Hotel' and Ai just LEFT Orina there... Ren was in trouble and all, but he didn't exactly KNOW that... Though they PROBABLY shouldn't even be IN a 'Love Hotel' at thier age, still.
Maybe Ai is just 'In the wrong place at the wrong time' with Ren... Over and over and over again... And again... I'll just go into the characters I hate now, since that list should be long enough to fill more than my fair share. Let's start with Chaos from Ragnarok, shall we? He bugs me. Just does, never knew why, I normally like people like him. But he just makes me gritt my teeth. Grrr. Kyo (From Alice 19th) is awful. Hot and cool as he may be, he just DOESN'T EVEN NOTICE ALICE!
Well, not for a while at least, but he STILL seems to be caught up on Mayura, so...
And d'you wanna know who ELSE bugs me? Tsukasa. Don't get me wrong, I love Tsukasa, I love him
/her
, but MAN does that COMPLAINING GET TO YA after awhile. 'I can't log out. Let's have some kinda pity party. Everyone hates me. I hate the world. Get away from me.' Cripes, yeah he's in a bad position, but seriously... My self in the same position, I'd just try to be optomistic and junk... What's whining gonna help anything? (Without fail, at least five Tsukasa lovers will flock to dissagree with me, stating the obvious and everything... Whatever...) Well, I'm gone. Bye, peoples. _Sakura_ -
I really liked the soft style of Chobits... I know it isn't sharp & clear, but I think the style suits the series very well.
I agree! Chobits is one of my favorite animes artistically as well as quality of the story. Anything by CLAMP really is quite good visually. Though I don't nesesarily like the Trigun storyline, I do believe the artwork is quite exquisite, though it's not exactly as true to life as many others. Alright, next I'd say probably Naruto, due merely to how well it fits. It isn't all that consistant, though, as time goes on.

I am the anti-scientific-name-for-phobia person. I can't go anywhere without finding something I'm terrified of, but nothing I fear has a scientific name. I'm not claustrophobic. Not homophobic. Not arachnaphobic. I AM scared of the shower curtain. Not the possibility of something BEHIND it, just the shower curtain itself. I hate the guy on the oatmeal box. I thought he was my best friend until I was four, and then I had a dream of him EATING me, and now I'm just done with the oatmael guy. I am mortally terrified of the 'tasty' smiley. I really have no idea why. I'm afraid of remote contols with no batteries. I really don't like staplers all that much, and empty picture frames terrify me. Alright, I think that's enough of my... Somewhat ODD fears. Later! _Sakura_

Alright, I don't have much time now, but I'll do as much as I can, 'kay? (Hey, Oliver!!!) Name: (Human): Mayura Ryoku (Angel): Kitsune Arayel Gender: Female Faction: Heaven (Partially human. See Modivation.) Appearance: Later... Weapons: A staff encrypted with magical entities. Powers: Has the ability to see into the souls of humans and take over their bodies, astro-projectile style. Personality: Kitsune: Sweet, but kind of in a demonic way. Loves everyone, but makes no friends, because she doesn't allow herself to trust them. Mayura: A loner, hates people. Loves to read/study. Lives with her older brother, so she doesn't have a very good female role-model, and hates boys. Motivation: Kitsune isn't exactly an angel Well, not anymore, anyways. Mayura and Kitsune despise fighting and the like, and hate all war. Mayura is a seventeen year old germaphobe who is the nerd of her school. She's somewhat pretty, but just doesn't like to communicate. A+ student. Kitsune is a powerful angel of light. She is amazed by humans and thier way of faith without any proof, their comprihention without proper knowledge. In that, she studies them. She would much rather probe the mind of a human than actually speak to one, though. Not even a year ago, her very exisance was threatened by the heaven-hell war, when she got caught in the cross-fire. Mayura had to abandon her body and her battered soul entered a fifteen year old girl by the name of Mayura. Kitsune is now a sort of alter-ego to Mayura, and by being posesed for such a long amount of time, has gained powers like Kitsune herself.

Well, I'm gonna say Trigun. I don't particularly ENJOY mangas about guns anyway, but everyone RAVED about it, and I was sorely dissapointed. I dunno, I only saw 3 episodes and read 2 chapters of the manga, maybe it gets better. Dunno, don't care. My boyfriend loves it, though, but he loves anything with violence. He's got that kinda psyco-evil thing goin' on lately... Also, I think Chobits (One of my favorite mangas) is starting to get fairly repetative... But how much can you do in a world with humanoid computers and a super-genious-chobit? Alright, I revise that... Later! _Sakura_

Anime The False Assumptions of Anime and Manga
sakurasuka replied to gaarasgirl90's topic in Otaku Central
I totally agree! Given, I'm not all to sure why this thread was created except to make a point with those who agree and cause confrontation with those who don't, but it's cool that someone was thinking the same thing as me! Neato! Anyway, I believe that is because 'anime' is portrayed to young people nowadays as just 'more-advanced cartoons' and then peopel see 'adult rated' manga, so the average person would see EXTREMES, you know? But it's the same way with american 'cartoons'. There's Bugs Bunny, and there's Family Guy. Really, that about matches up with Poke'mon and.... Chobits, I guess. So they are really just not able to decipher that. Really, the only people that think that are 1) Teens who think it's dumb because it is in the same genra as Poke'mon 2) Over-protective parents, seeing the OT rating on comics scares them. 3) Dumb people who only see in extremes. Well, I think I've said my bit. I'll just be on my way, now. Later! _Sakura_ -
Welcome to OB, anime-g! (I made a rhyme!) I happen to be quite the Shaman King fanatic myself. It's not my favorite series, but it's one of the top 10, no doubt ^^ My little brother loves Shaman King so much, he buys the Shonen Jump just to read it. Why he doesn't just buy the GNs is quite a mystery... Anyway, I don't have anything but local channels, so I don't get fox-box and therefor cannot watch the Shaman King anime. Regretfully, I don't have Cartoon Network (For Adult Swim) either. *Sigh* Alas, I am left solely to the mangas until I can get more hours at work and afford satalite (Or not-crappy cable) Anyway, I love Ren Tao (Len, I believe, in the anime.) and Anna Kyoyama. Her 'tough-love' way of life is the best! Yoh (And any other guy) really DOES need to get put in his place! Nyahaha! Hmm... I was wondering, how far has the anime gotten? If it's further than the manga, I'm gonna be thouroghly annoyed... Nothing I can do about it, I suppose. D'you read the Shonen Jump, anime-g? Later! _Sakura_

What do you look for in a guy/girl?
sakurasuka replied to Farto the Magic's topic in General Discussion
Originality. 'I believe any man has the ability to sweep any woman off her feet' -Will Smith, Hitch. (I love that movie) I am picky, too, but I have a boyfriend (5-year-crush) and we've been going out a solid 7 months now. I love him, he's great ^^ Speaking of originality, my BF got asked (In a game of truth or dare) if he liked me more than a friend. I got asked the same question. By the next week, we were a couple! Do something that will make her remember you. Stand out! Don't be an idiot, though, jumping off the roof of the bar won't get you anywhere. For the most part, girls (Me and many others) like a guy who isn't shallow, someone they HAVE to think about. The more you leave an immpression you leave, the more she'll think about you, the more she'll (Hopefully) get to wondering about and liking you. Flattery, MEANINGFUL FLATTERY, doesn't hurt, either. Do something brave. Really. To the girls out there, Who would you like more- 1) *Guy walks up to girl at the bar* "Hey, can I buy you a drink?" 2) *Guy walks up to girl at the bar and looks at her for a few seconds* "Wow, your eyes are so pretty in the light like that. What's your name?" Hmm? I think it's obvious. (though I am not yet drinking age, so I SUPPOSEDLY wouldn't know...) Alas, the first one is the average guy. Well, I hope my input helped. Later! _Sakura_ -
Anime Best and worst anime or Manga charatcers to have as roommates
sakurasuka replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
Heh... Yeah, I remember this thread a few months ago... I don't believe I posted in it then, though. Ah, well. Good thread idea, I say. Quite amusing so far. Yay- Well, there's Shuichi, (Aka Kurama, YuYuHakusho) no doubt. That rose whip might be a bit annoying, though, but he's quite the gentleman, and I love his hair. #1 hottest Anime Guy. Uchiha Sazuke (Naruto) 'cause I love his attitude. He's Sakura's, though, so I'll keep my hands off, I suppose ;) Sakura Haruno (Naruto) would probably stay out of my way for the most part, since she spends most of her time obsessing over Sazuke, anyway. Bad thing though, she's got pink hair, too, so we'd look like twinkies. Yech. Kindaichi. (Kindaichi Case Files) But it might get kind of annoying for the mere fact he's smarter than me and he could tell whenever I was lying by some kind of deductive resoning... 'And I DIDN'T eat the last brownie!' 'You're lying! Shame!' :animecry: ANY of the people from Fushigi Yugi. Especially either Tamahome or Hotohiri. Talk about HOT Miroku (Inu) Even though he's a pervert, he's kinda a sweet pervert... Nay- The Inu brothers (Inu) cuz they'd probably get mad at me (NOT for eating the brownie... I DIDN'T DO IT I TELL YOU!) and kill me off. The Thunder Brothers (Inu) For reason listed above. Nyozeka (Alice 19th) She bugs me... Unless she's in bunny mode! Well, that's enough for now. I'm gonna go read in the Anime Archives... Later! _Sakura_ -
Heh... You THINK you wanna meet Sesshy... Until he goes all Demon Dog on you and starts tearing off your limbs ^-^ But seriously, I love the Inu brothers as much as any other obsessed-female-Inu-fan, they're on my 'Top 20 Hottest Anime Guys' list. But I wouldn't really want to meets them for real. Mass destruction, man, mass destruction. Anyway, I wanna meet Kyo from Alice 19th (# 9 on Hottest Anime Guys' list) 'cause he's so damn sweet. And no really hurtful abnormal powers! (Except the Lotus-Word thing... But I choose to ignore that.) Really, Alice and her sister are so lucky! Even though Alice is living with the guilt of having sent her sister to some other dimention due to the effect of her Lotus-Words and the sister is lost in some abbyss... Alright, maybe I don't envy them. Jonouchi (Joey) and Balon (Valen) from Yu-Gi-Oh! Mostly 'cause I love thier accents... And maybe Yugi, just out of the sheer curiosity I've had for a few years now... I've narrowed it down to three things I HAVE TO KNOW 'cause they BUG THE CRAP OUT OF ME!!! 1) Why are you so frickin' short, kid? 2) Who the hell is your hair dresser? You didn't PAY for that do, did ya? 3) How are you able to keep a sharp, heavy object arount your neck 24/7 w/out getting bruises, or at least a major pain in the neck!? And with your luck??? My baby, Shuichi Minamino (Kurama, for those who don't know... Shame on you  ) I love his hair. I love his clothes. I love his attitude. I love his whole 'Rose Whip' thing. He's so frickin' hot. I love him almost as much as OliverWhip. Kagome, to ask her HOW SHE PUTS UP WITH THE MADDNESS! My extreme hate for Kagome aside, she really is amazing. Despite my utter love for everyone else on the show, with the constant near-death-experiences, the fact EVERYONE is depending on her, and the ANNOYING FACTOR contributed by Miroku, Shippo, Inu, Myoga, Jakken, and nearly everyone else, Kagome's amazing! I'd have gone crazy! Seriously, who can deal with that? WHO!? Later! _Sakura_

Alright, me? I don't do anything THAT mindless... Though I do have the tendincy to randomly stare at sparkly/shiney objects for hour on end. Hmm. I have this friend, though, him and my boyfriend try to out-do each other in everything. My boyfriend, brilliant as he is and all, has an ego-trip thing every time our idiot friend comes around. Here's a something they do: Alright, idiot friend decides he wants to see who can throw the biggest rocks the furthest. Boyfriend says he's a moron. Idiot friend calls him a chicken, or just ignores him and retuns to throwng large stones. Either way, boyfriend gets POed and agrees to the game. Pretty soon, it's 'Who can DODGE the biggest rocks?' and they both start chucking things at each other until 1) My boyfriend gets hit ONE TOO MANY times and starts beating him with a long/hard object (Rake, hose, shovel, bat, etc.) 2) until they are BOTH thuroughly bloody and can no longer go on or 3) I've decided it's enough and go beat some sense into them. Yup. It's not even really a game, but it's something they do to pass time now. Boys really ARE dumb like that. My friend also does this thing where he goes into the woods and tries to knock down as many trees as he can, a sport for which I am happy my boyfriend refuses to join. He always comes out with some kind of injury. Moron. Forever Confused, ~SaKuRa~

You wanna know who bugs me? Kleiver from Jak3. Man, he is such a loser! And in Kleiver-diaper mode, he's even (If possible) MORE annoying. I like Navi, but that's probably cuz i've got an obsession with staring at glow-y sparkly objects ^-^ But seriously, *Sigh* :animeangr Wakka from FFX... He needs to curl up and die somewhere. His accent bugs me. His outfit bugs me. His personallity bugs me. Loser. (Next I just can't leave out, even tho it isn't from a game.) Next is the evil reincarnated-twin-people from Inuyasha: Kagome and Kikyo. I counted the times Kagome screamed 'INUYASHA!' in one episode. 37. Need I say more? No, I don't think so. Kikyo's just annoying. It's like she's one of those people from a soap opera that dies like, 50 times.
That Dog in Duck Hunt! No explaination needed in this case is there? :animeswea
I hear you! Gawd, my little brother and I were playing that game and... Well, needless to say, I'm still a bit... Y'know... :animestun from the whole thing. Why they put these people in these games, I'll never understand. Nor will I ever be the same. Forever crazy, -Sakura

Seriously... There are enough people out there who think 'Punk' is cool like to try to act as 'punk' as possible. They have as much a right as you or me. Me? I haven't yet found a band that labels themselves 'punk' that I've truly disliked, but I don't REALLY consider myself punk. I love punk rock. I personally like Good Charlotte. They've given me no reason to think otherwise. (They're just a coupla kids trying to get a point across. And they're pretty good, too.) Avril really is just an Alanis re-make, but I don't mind her. (I love Alanis, though.) I have her new CD and I like most of the songs... Not really an Avril fan, and I DO NOT label her as punk seeing as that would be a discrace to punk. I also listen to SOME pop-ish stuff, hence: Avril. I like heavy metal, but I really don't listen to any one genera more than the next. I love rock as well. You don't have to label yourself or anyone else as 'punk' or as 'posers' because, my friend, the only posers are those who label others as such. (In my opinion) Punk and not punk is not for you to decide, it is in the mind of the majority, the so-called 'posers' who look at you and me and think 'What a poser.' In the end, the the ones who DISCRACED the name are the ones who LABEL it. (If that made any sense whatsoever.)

Alright, here we go... First, there's Natuto. (Not in order of how much I like it, just out of the first that pop into my head) cuz I love Sazuke. And Naruto is hilarious... But ironically, I really relate to Sakura and I like her alot, too... Might be the pink hair, think? First manga I like all the main people (Other than RuroKen) Bloody and also, a romance sub-story. Awesome! Next: TokyoMewMew. Kiddish yeah, but it's original! I loves Ichigo (I was her for halloween... Only I made my outfit and it was red not pink.) and I really like Kish! Heh... 'Name's Kish... Thanks for the kiss!' That's the best quote in the whole series. KENSHIN!!! Next is Rurouni Kenshin. Out of ALL mangas & animes, Rurouni Kenshin is my ideal manga/anime (Other than my beloved Shuichi.) Kenshin's great. How can you not love Ken-sama? Long red hair, battle scars, beautiful eyes... And a blood-thirsty alter-ego the Hitokiri Batosai!!! And Sano is great, too. Lovin' all of them! DNAngel is great because (Mostly) of Dark and Krad. Daisuke is sweet, Risa is oblivious, Riku is jelous and then suspicious... Satoshi is awesome and for some reason really seems to have taken a liking to Daisuke... Whiz is sooo cute! A fuzzy little rodent that can transform? Yeah! Well, I can't forget Chobits. Hideki is a perverted (Yet ironically caring and protective) teenager who finds a broken Chobit and starts to learn more and more about her and maybe has feelings for her, more than just friendship... Another sweet yet twisted romance by CLAMP. I love them, they're great. There's too many to count, but I'm gonna put in a little mention for my babe, Shuichi Minamino (Hence the user-name) AKA Kurama from YuYuHakusho. YuYu's great. Probably not in my top-10, but great nonetheless, but Shuichi's my favorite manga character of all time. I love him, I love him, I LOVE HIM!!!!!! Later! -Sakura

Heh. I see alot of people reffering to the Ring, essentially pretty good, even the Hollywood re-make of it. Haven't seen the Grudge, looks pretty pointless (Though my friend told me her and her boyfriend actually screamed... Which they don't do... So maybe it's alright...) Cabin Fever: Man, I for one was shaking my head through half the movie. Can there be ANY movies rated R for horror rather than sex? I saw this one with my little brother. *sigh* worst mistake my parents ever made. 'Why don't you see this one? It looks scary.' Scary my A**!!! Mothman Prophecies: Yet another one I saw with my brother. It didn't scare or creep out either of us, but it made me think... I like that... Alien: This one will give you shivers in full daylight a week after you see it... *Shudders* This one didn't scare me all that much at first, but I just keep thinking back to it... Kinda like 'Signs' only signs wasn't scary whatsoever. White Noise: The preveiws looked so good... Guess you can't expect anything good from a PG13 movie... I saw it with my friend (The one who said the Grudge was really good) And it sucked. No real scary moments at all. Final Destination: The first one wasn't BAD but it wasn't GOOD in comparison to the second, that isn't all that great either. I like the kind that make you think (Like M.P.) and the kind that just... JUMP OUT AT YOU! The old ones will always rule over the new. Just like in music. Avril will come and go, but the old 80's music is here to stay. The Shining, Poltergiest and the like will (In the end) be much more remembered than say, Hide and Seek. (Haven't seen it, but I'm going on Valentines Day...) But do you know an old one that I haven't seen yet? Pet Semitary. (Can't sell it) I just haven't found the time to see it... Everyone who HAS seen it has said it is the scariest movie yet. I wonder... A cemitary that brings stuff back to life sounds corny, but I don't quite think so, somehow... Anyway, in a nutshell, they are making an enormous amount of 'Horror' movies, so you can't expect all of them to be skin-crawlin' scary. You will find some (If you feel like digging through all the crap) good ones out there... The oldies are still better, in my opinion.

Well, that's a cool design and I love the font... But I really can't see the orcs all that well >.< Though... That would be a really cool banner anyway, if only it wasn't so blurry... Maybe a litte bigger? It is a bit small, I guess... Not much else to comment on... Well, Later! -Sakura

Anime What type of storylines appeal to you?
sakurasuka replied to Redemption's topic in Otaku Central
Heh. I can be a flair for the dramatic, I'm a bit of a romantic, too. Naturally, I enjoy a story with some sort of romance intwined. I also love sick/wierd/un-called-for humor... Heh... And a little blood doesn't hurt, either ^_~ Y'know, most series have some of all that (To some degree, anyway) But whatever. I also like series with lotsa fighting (The best series I can think of is Dragon Ball and DBZ... I hate GT...) and stuff... Naruto, too. And I like mysteries! I LOVE Kindaichi!!! It's great to sit down with a good mystery book/comic and be able to solve it about half-way through. Total bliss. Just like watching CSI... Well, there's my input. Later! -Sakura -
Heh... Good ol' Shishio... Yeah, that WAS a good Kenshin moment. I almost felt the urge to cry T.T Well, I always did like that moment in the Inu manga where Inu shoves Kagome in the well and stuffs a tree in it to keep her from danger (Talk about RASH!) and then she finally gets back after like, 2 chapters or something and then Inu's all like, 'I just didn't want to see you die... But I realized that I DID want you here with me...' or something like that... I don't remember exactly. But then Inu went and locked lips with Kikyo, so that made me mad, and a little sad for Kagome >_< None so good as that moment in Naruto when Sakura was all bawlin' over Sazuke... Lucky girl... Man, I really do love Sazuke... Almost as much as my beloved Shuichi Minamino... Hence my name... And if one more person tells me it's spelled wrong, I'm gonna blow... *Sigh* Well, you asked for a moment experienced, correct? Well, I've got one... When I was like, 10 my best friend (A guy I just happened to have a crush on) gave me a bunch of wild-flowers, but they were all sqashed and funny looking. He told me they were the only ones he could find, and he looked everywhere and he was up 'till 11 (We were 10. That was late then.) trying to find them, 'cuz he thought I'd like them better if he picked them out himself, but now he wasn't quite so sure. And he gave me a paper heart with glitter on it (It was kinda... Mis-shapen, but the sweetest gesture ever) and it said (In glitter paint) be my valantin? (It was misspelled) and I gave him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. It was soooo cute, and we were so little... I really miss him. I started homeschooling, and he moved and we never saw each other again. He called my when I was 13 (On my birthday! He remembered!) to say hi, but we haven't talked since... *sigh*
-
*Sigh* I've got too many nick-names to name... I'll give the one with the longest story behind it first. Alright, my little brother and my boyfriend were making fun of my hair one day 'cause I tried to dye it bright RED and it came out bright PINK and I have a sworn hatrid toward pink, so... Yeah... They thought it was hiarious. Anyway, for some reason they started calling me 'Strawberry Shortcake' as in the little cartoon girl. Then whenever I'd dye my hair, they'd sing the 'Strawberry Shortcake' song and then for some reason, after singing it multiple times, 'Shortcake' started being pronounced wrong when they'd sing it fast and it morphed to 'Bortbake' and then to 'PorkFace' somehow, so now I'm Pork Face. My boyfriend's nickname is Fluffy, though. (He has this shirt... Long story...) And my brothers is 'Darth' (Because his name was gonna be something that sounded like 'Darth Vador' but then he didn't get named it. I won't say it here because I promised.) 'YoHan' and 'YoHanisburg' 'cause we called him 'Johnathon' even though that isn't his name, and it slowly morphed... Heh... -Sakura

Alright, I wouldn't usually post in a thread this... Vague... But I think I may be able to help. Maybe not all that much here because I've not got the details, but I'll put in my two cents, anyway. Firstly: I'm seeing a lack of female people. In most storylines, there are at least a few kick-butt chicks (Or chicks that get their butt kicked, either way...) How're you gonna have some kinda romance sub-story? Who's gonna be the main guy's love interest? Haven't you noticed most people like some of that stuff. Just keep that in mind. For a name for a girl, I like Sakura, but that's just me, I think... I've got alotta names, if you PM me their personallities I'll give a more fitting name. Secondly: Work on the details. Tweak 'em, make 'em better, change 'em around and repeat untill you like the result. It took me three years to get the whole outline of my series set-in-stone and I'm still working on it. If you want some REAL help, though, I'm quite willing and am online daily, PM me more details and specifics and I'd be glad to help with storyline, art, ideas, whatever. Later, people! -Sakura P.S. Please don't reply to my post here. P.M. me if you want to reply. Unless I really like a subject, I don't look twice at the same page. The only time I've ever POSTED twice is in a role-play. I think if you don't get out what you're gonna say the first time, you're not gonna say what you wanna say the second time around either, so that's my policy.

Well, everyone I happen to know (Except my spaz of a cousin) didn't really give a care what it meant to be a 'nerd', a 'geek' or a 'dork'. As long as noone was shooting spitballs at the for it, it was a trivial thing that had little to no meaning whatsoever. Anyway, my cousin and I got tired of everybody calling us nerds one day and geeks the next. (For mere reason I find myself a fine mix between 'wierd' and 'smart' in the eyes of most...) We wanted to solve the age-old question of EXACTLY what qualifies you to be nerd or otherwise. After much study and failure, we finally hit a breakthrough: People call people the first thing that comes to their mind, mainly a geek if they're creepy, wierd, stupid, or if they have the guts to be the wierd guy in the class who eats anyhting. You know, everyone has one of the 'I'll eat the bug if you give me a dollar' guy. Yet, if you're called a nerd, it normally means you're really smart and you dress somewhat more proffesional than your age. It can also mean you've got too in-humanly strait a bowl-cut. A dork can be just about anything, really. Mostly used for clumsy people, people who aren't dumb and aren't brilliant. This one has alot more versatility. Now, those are pretty set-in-stone, but now for the self-proclaimed nerd/dork/geek: A self-proclaimed geek is someone who gets their thrills from touching their eye with thier finger to make the squemish scream. Really, a self-prclaimed geek is just someone who's really wird and not afraid to show it, more like WANTS to make it known. Now, a self-proclaimed nerd is a little different. It is a little more grade-oriented. If you get all As, you can proclam yourself a nerd. If you answer multiple questions aloud in class you may proclaim yourself a nerd. If you are the one everyone calls to fix thier computer you can proclaim yourself a nerd. Pretty narrow spectrum. Nowadays, it is much more common just to use it if you aren't dumb, like to read, and can't find another place to fit yourself. A self-proclaimed dork can be anyone. If someone tripps, they might say 'Sorry, I'm kinda clumsy... I'm a real dork, huh '^^ ?" but it can also be used if you forgot to feed the dog. Or if you forgot your homework at home. Or any of a thousand things. Dorks don't exist, just those who jump to a good excuse and this is the first one available. Hope that answers your question. Whew... I really need to get a life... -Sakura

Ooh... I was gonna sign up, too, but I was kinda busy with other stuff at the time and I totally forgot! Oh, man, I'm such a dunce... Well... I didn't think there was much of anything wrong with it... 'Cept maybe what Shugo said... That's the problem with those kinda things, I suppose. I was going to make an attempt to make a RPG with one of the comix I did, but then I knew I'd make everyone just play out the story and everyone'd be all mad at me an' quit... So I just didn't... I dunno. Maybe if you tweak it a bit it would work? Maybe... Then again, it might not, what do I know? (I'm really not all that stupid, I just have a really bad short-term memory... Or selective memory... Whichever you wish to call it.) I'm willing to join if it gets some members. I'm kinda busy right now, though, and I'm on a tight schedule. -Sakura
