1. 1. I wouldn't call it that. Rather, someone who's interested in music and can play. Somewhat. 2. Sure do. But I'm quite rusty. 3. Keyboard, and a bit of guitar. 4. Homeschooled, so no. 5. Soon enough.
2. At present, my room is non-existant. I sleep on the couch. Or my brother's floor. We are currently finishing off the attic, so that will be my new room. My old room was green, and quite boring. My new room will be orange, primarily. With gray. Yes, lots of gray. One wall, I will graffiti. One wall will be so covered with posters and artwork it won't matter. One wall will be orange. One wall will be covered with mirrors and chalk-board paint. A loft. A schweet little desk for my 20" Mac. And tons and tons of shelving for books and comics. So that's exciting.
3. Before Death. Name: Karin Skelter. Age: 14. Appearance: Karin Skelter. Personality: Quiet. Rarely spoke her mind. Karin is a smart girl, yes, but not so much good at reading people or understanding feelings. Bio: She lived in a modest apartment building in downtown Chicago with her elder brother, Brenden. Both thier parents had been killed by a drunk driver earlier that year. Karin was apathetic towards life. She didn't comletely loathe her existance, nor was she ever given a reason to love it. Besides school, she wan't anything spectactular. She wasn't the prettiest. She wasn't the best at anything. She just.. Was. "Pass the toast, Karin." Brenden tore his eyes from his book and yawned rather loudly. "Alright." She rose slowly and grabbed two pieces out of the toaster. "When do you get home today?" Her eyes fixed on him, lightly buttering the two pieces of toast before handing them to him. "Thanks," He replied, eating both pieces in three bites. "I work from Eight to Four, then I have classes 'till nine. I'll be home before nine-thirty, okay kiddo?" "Don't call me that." Karin didn't like to be talked down to. For some reason, though, she wasn't sure she'd be content with any other nickname. "I'll wait for you at the library. Please don't be late." She gave a look that made him feel quite guilty before she pulled on her shoes and walked out of the apartment. Those were, sadly, the last words she'd ever say to her brother. "Don't do that, it'll kill us all. Have you ever heard of second-hand smoke?" She grabbed a cigarette from a boy who was no older than herself. He was standing right outside of the apartment next to hers. "Besides, there's no smoking here, remember?" "Piss off." He light another and ignored her. Oh, well. Her walk to school was rather uneventful, as always. As was most of her day, as a matter of fact. Algebra is easily her best and most boring subject, sleeping through it is always the best option. Spanish is always better taught by someone who actually knows the language, which became painfully clear earlier that year. Finally the teacher just gave up. Spanish became a free-for-all. Good for anyone with friends. Bad for Karin. World History was redundant. Literature was her favorite, but that's not saying much. Physical Education was torture. She never was good at anything physical, she was much too weak. Her walk home was, incedentally, just as uneventful as her walk to. She bought some candy on the way home. Sweets were always comforting. Homework only took up a few hours. If she had friends, she'd call someone. Too bad she didn't. Music was her passion, every genre. She put on her headphones, listening to a mixed CD with everything from Opeth to Jack off Jill to The Cure. She dozed off rather peacefully. A nap would be good, she hadn't been sleeping well lately. Ouch.. Something burned her hand. Dazed and confused, her eyes darted around the apartment. All she could see was orange. Fire...?! Leaping up, she tried to make it to the door, but it was blocked off. Having not even the vaugest idea of the time or date, she yelled for her brother. No reply. Okay, he's still at work. He's okay. I just have to get out. Yeah. No problem. She tried to move the burning rubble covering the doorway. It wouldn't budge, she wasn't strong enough. She couldn't make it to the window. Flames engulfed the tiny apartment. She thought she heard voices, but wasn't sure. The beam hit her across the chest. It fell, burning, from the ceiling. It toppled her over. She couldn't breathe. She lay helpless on the ground, unable to move. She couldn't move it. She couldn't. She just wasn't strong enough. She died of asphyxiation moments later. Fourteen other people were killed, excluding her brother. He was fine. The fire was started by a cigarette. After Death. Name: Karin. Disreguard former last name. Appeared Age: 14. Race: Human. Appearance: Karin. Personality: Still quiet, but much more volitile. Angered easily. Quite like an angsty teenager. Weapons: Club. Dagger. Powers: Stength and agility. She can lift over twenty-five times her own body weight. Please do let me know if this is alright. It's been some time since I've role-played, so I apoligise in advance for my idiocy.
4.
@ the relevant people: Is American sex education genuinely so bad that you learned more from porn?[/i']
Actually, it varies state-to-state, school-to-school. I've lived all over the country. So I know how... Different sex education can be. There's a movie they show down here in Georgia in some schools. It shows the prenancy process, from conception to the delivery room. It's litterally enough to make you want to not only projectile-vomit, but to avoid sex at all costs. Luckily I never saw the entire thing, as I don't actually go to public school [anymore]. Thank God. My retarded friend thought it would be funny to record gross parts of it on his cell phone, so that's all I've seen of it. And that was more than enough. Anyway. I think the purpose of that video is more to deter teenagers from engaging in sexual activity than to actually teach. Meh.
5. I do believe Google would have your answer. But unless you've got 300+ dollars to blow, I'd suggest going for an older version. Or Paint Shop Pro. My baby, PSP8 [Used, heh], costed twenty bucks on e-bay.
Or you could always pirate it, but that's illegal >:O
And the Adobe website has some 30 day free trials, I believe. As does Jasc.
6. Omfg. I know I just did one, like two turns ago, but.. I must claimeth. Since Zeke just pwns. And I've wanted to try my hand with reds for a while now... I'll be back momentarily. Edit- Gah. Okay, my mom's computer decided to have itself a bit of a meltdown. I was literally clicking on the .PNG Optimizer button when the little 'JASC Has experienced some blah-jabber error, would you like to Send Error Report?' Then I had to help mom deliver these lockers to this preschool. But it's finished. So nyeah. This version took me well under an hour, probably closer to half an hour. It's not half as cool as the first version. [Cries] [Hey Amanda.] =/
7.

You know, I really like this one. You have PaintShopPro/PhotoShop, no? Well, I do think this might look better sepia or *Cough* greyscale. Just because it looks sort of... Dunno. Maybe lonely? And instrument lying there, alone, noone to play it. And Gray = Sad. Generally. So meh. Maybe I'm just insane. But I must say, I am quite impressed with the pictures I see here. I use people and animals as my main focus, so it's difficult to post them places. My brother doesn't appreciate me posting pictures of him on the internet. Heh. [:
8.
i still have many questions though.
With time comes knowledge :D Sex. Hm. Well. I have never, ever been shy about anything sexual up until this year. You see, when my brother was concieved, I was about two. Of course, I was curious. So, basically, mom figured it would be better to tell me [vaugly] about sex and such, that way there wasn't the awkward 'Sex Talk' when I was older. I really do think that works best. Of course, I didn't know the actual meaning of 'sex' until the age of seven or eight. This last year I've had quite a few sexual experiences, and I tend to be quite shy and awkward. I mean, I know more about the subject than anyone should, but when it came down to it, I was much more... Introverted than I figured I'd be. So I remain a virgin. Barely. Meh.
9.
It's coming out this week, you guys! Who's excited?[/size']
Hah. This is going to be one of the greatest movies in existance. I can't even watch the trailers without rolling on the floor laughing. =]
10. Red 6, you're my hero. It really is too bad we can't just eat whatever we want and be healthy anyways, though. Sigh.
11. Claimed. See you in a few hours. Edit- Not exactly what I was going for. Close, but not quite. BeLoud. Y'know the cool thing, though? You have the choice to start with a plain white edge, since the only other color [other than white] touching the edge is the gray frame. Or you can extend on with the gray, if you so choose. Fun, fun.
12. The Game is driving me mad. I swear, I might just shoot myself. But it as pretty facinating to see how often random things like that cross your mind. Well, not so much facinating as mind-numbingly annoying.
13.
Kindergarden- Being the youngest gets you the most sypathy with the teachers. First Grade- Being youngest sucks, all the other kids are bigger and pick on you. Second Grade- Mom pulls you out of school to homeschool, since you get bullied so much. And you're moving. And the damn schools don't teach you right. Third Grade- Moving past Greek Gods, Multiplication, Division, and learning to read at a fifth grade level, homeschooling bores you. Fourth Grade- So mom puts you back in school. Even the gifted classes turn out boring, and all but one kid hates you. Fifth Grade- That one kid becomes your best friend. Everyone else continues to hate you for being a nerd. Sixth Grade- You go through a dark phase, so mom pulls you out of school again. Homeschooling is just as boring as you remember it. Seventh&Eighth Grades- Both completed in one year, you feel acomplished but miss having social contact. Ninth Grade- Being twelve in ninth grade, they won't let you back in unless they put you back in middle school. So you keep homeschooling. Tenth Grade- You start taking Freshmen Prep classes at a homeschool club. The kids like you a little better, but you still don't have any friends. So you get a job. They hate you there, too. Eleventh Grade- Continue classes, plus a boyfriend. This year was one of the best. Except you're too distracted to get your goal SAT score. Twelfth Grade- Still working. You Realize that the social drama is too much. You don't need that at fifteen. So you and your boyfriend split, and OB becomes your best friend.
The remainder of my senior year has yet to be lived.
14.
Just to let everyone know that I have Paint Shop Pro, rather than Photoshop. So Retri, send me the file as a .png or something, otherwise I won't be able to work with it. Eclipse, I'll have to do the same for you, I'm afraid.
Ditto. I'm stuck with PSP8. Sorry Kitty, I'm going to have to ask that you send me a .png =/ Thank you.
15.
Let's see here - when it comes down to it, animals are no more than organic machines with their own individual niches in the ecosystem.
What really does make that different from humans? You said the abitity to differenciate from right and wrong. Well, as far as I see it, most humans don't exactly have that definite line either. I know you're well aware of this, you basically stated it in your last post. Humans don't know right from wrong, they know what thier parents, instincts, and thier environment teaches them. Exactly the same as dogs. My younger dog, Juneau, we found underneath Dad's truck one morning. He was just a few weeks old, battered, dirty, tick-infested, and soaked to the bone. We were sure he was going to die. But you know what? He's an amazing dog. He was wild. We didn't spend any time 'domesticating' him, he just was awesome from the beggining. When I fell off the trampoline, Juneau wouldn't leave my side until I stood up and he knew I was okay. When me and my boyfriend broke up, he sat on my lap and comforted me until I stopped crying. And when he wakes me up in the morning, I swear he's almost smiling. That dog has more compasion for other beings than any human I know. If anyone were to look me in the eyes and tell me that I have mor of a right to live than my dog, I'd say they're crazy. Juneau is most definitely my very best friend, my life wouldn't be the same without him. As for the actual topic, I personally find it disguting. But I have no better solution, that would be cost-effeicient. So I'll remain silent. I mean, we're talking about a country that takes away your children if you have more than the amount you're allowed. So dogs aren't really highest on thier priority list.
16.
Anyway, to end this post, I guess there isn't anything that would make someone not lose. If everyone loses, no one wins. Or maybe everyone that enters the game wins because they are even with everyone else (In score). I guess thats it.
Hah. Yes. Noone wins. The goal is to lose to a lesser degree. But really, thinking about it, you couldn't enter the Lounge without thinking about The Game. So it you tried to avoid The Lounge, then you'd be doing so because of The Game, therefore triggering you to remember The Game and forcing you to lose. So avoiding the Lounge would essentially be just as bad as not doing so. Game-wise, anyway.
17. Work. School. Website design. Dying my hair. Not a whole lot. Really, I'm not that boring a person, I'm just not allowed to have an abundance of social activities until I graduate. But it makes no difference. I'm content, so it's all good.
18.
Oh, and local rules (for me anyway) state "don't hate The Game, hate the person that caused you to lose The Game". So Des ... I hate you.
I don't lose. Well, I lost five minutes ago. And you can't lose again five minutes after you just lost, that's a rule. So even though I lost, now I'm losing... To a lesser degree. Since the goal is to lose the least, anyways. Me and my brother have been playing The Game for many months now. Meaning I'm nearing insanity. Now I've got my best friend in it. He loses almost as much as me. Isn't that fun?
19. 1- Blonde. Fairly light. 2- Red, burgandy, brown, black, green, blue, orange, purple, and pink. 3- A little. But I don't regret it. 4- Yeah, it's blonde and pink. I love it. 5- Short, spikey, messy, unique. 6- Anything that looks good on them.
20. 120-130, depending upon the week. Seeing as I am about 5'3.5", I'm not the skinniest. But weight never has been a huge problem for me. I'm too in love with salt and candy bars to care much about what I look like. I need to build up some muscle mass, though. Sadly, I could have a nice figure if I tried, but I'm just lazy. Oh, well.
21.
Besides, in my experience, the girl is always right.
Damn straight. Girls ask the 'Does this make me look fat?' question out of, mostly, insecurity. They know how thier man will answer, they just need a compliment. Notice, after they ask the question, they aren't happy with a 'No, honey.' they expect a 'You're beautiful, blahdy-blah-blah.' Emotional masturbation, that's what it is. Girls need to be reassured. It's more innocent than inquring about the sexual relationships between your girlfriend and best friend. That will always be awkward, but it's best to side-step that subject as much as possible. Apparently the 'Does this make me looks fat?' question and the 'Who's best in bed?' question are coming from two completely different standpoints. But actually, I agree with Charles for the most part. Inquring that you'd like your best to be with him may have been best, then you both side-step the uncomfortable best friend ordeal, and at the same time stroke his ego. Edit: Upon reading your newest post, disreguard mine. Dump the loser. Dump him now.
22. Ooh, prettyful! I must say that I officially love you. Vegeta is probably the coolest anime character in the universe. Prince of Nowhere- I must agree, this is your stronget piece of this batch. Though I do think Retri's covered this one quite well already. Oh! Yes, Please!- *Squeals* This defeinitely comes in a close second. I love the colors, and the font is just plain sexy. The only problem is the slightly-too-bland background. Checkers alone never did really appeal to me. But that's just me. As for the guild wars ones, I'd have to lean more towards the second one. The colors are overall more harmonized. The first one has a slighly orangish hue,and looks a bit more violent [; Sorry I don't have time to comment on all of them right now, I'll try to edit later >___<
23. Gorgeous. I love the coordination of the spatters and coloured diagonal lines. I don't know why exactly, but the placement and the fact that there's two blue lines beside one yellow and one white, just draws me more towards it. Also, I know noone else that can use colors as well as you. If I tried to use pink, blue, yellow, and white in a piece, I'd fail miserably. I really don't have a whole lot of critique on this piece, seeing as some of the placements and such are the only things that irk me. And those are really just personal choice, and opinion. So, all in all, I'd like to say that you are quite possibly the most talented artist ever to grace OB with your presence :D Keep it up, you've got a career in the making here.
24. I agree with White. Really now, if he can't be mature about the answer to his own question, that's pretty sad. You guys are both high schoolers, right? Well, that's not the point. For future reference though, guys don't generally like hearing thier love-interest talk about all the sex they have with thier friends. Even if you two were dating back then, what good is telling him supposed to do? Even just talking about another guy can generally get a boyfriend riled up, depending upon his personality. So don't kiss and tell.
