My brother is not really a bad person, we get along well (he's 16 and I'm 19). But I'm sure he has some sort of mental disease o_O He sticks needles into the couch then claims it wasn't him, leaves unknown **** in the sink or tub (usually a mixture of toilet paper and shampoo, but once it was a bag of worms/bait) and he has really poor hygiene and motivation. The boy is going to lazy himself out of existence. It annoys me and my parents to no end, so hopefully he'll be a little better in future.

What skills do you have or what are you best known for?
Shi no Tenshi replied to orbindo's topic in General Discussion
I'm best known for being the loud, flirtatious one. That also branches out into lesbian, weirdo, ho etc. etc. Luckily no one knows me as Mike's girlfriend. I guess I've made my own name with his friends (: I'm also known as the girl with an eyebrow phobia. Don't ask. My skills are definatively creative. I like painting, web/graphic design and such. It all comes very easily to me. I think I could get into anything that involves colour, design or creative thinking. -
Salty and chocolatey. : D[/color']
You freak D: We share the same foodly fetish. Ever tried melting chocolate on salted pretzels? I'm drooling just thinking about it (I'm also gaining weight thinking about it X: ).

Crushes and relationships [PG-13]
Shi no Tenshi replied to Dragonboym2's topic in General Discussion
There's Jill, another girl from school. She's got these big bright eyes I like, somtimes dresses in sweats, she's real adorable, and is a Red Sox fan. She has the cap to prove it. One night a year ago, I was hanging out on campus, and she was sitting alone on a bench outside. I came over to say hi. She said that she had a bad day, so I offered a hug. She acceppted, and I hugged her. I don't remember what I said next, but I ended up rubbing her shoulders for her. At that moment, I realized she was enjoying it as much as I. I tried to think of somthing clever to say, and like a moron I said "Wow, Jill. You got soft skin." :animeshy: She says "Thanks. I moisturize with Aveeno." I ended up massaging her shoulders, neck, arms, hands, legs, and feet. When I finished, she thanked me, and said she felt a lot better. I then asked if she would like to get a soda with me at the cafe down the street. She looks up and says "Are you asking me out?" I of course said "No, no, no, no,..yes." She smiled and shook her head. "Umm..thanks for the offer but..I have a girlfreind." "What?" "I'm a lesbian." "You are?!" I couldn't beleive it. "I thought you knew." She added. "Uh..No, this is the first time I heard of it!" I said. That was it for that idea.
ROFL. And the cheeky thing is she let you finish before she said anything. My only embarassing moments with crushes have been trivial. You know, the typical 'I tell my girlfriends and they all go and ask him out and he says no/yes' sort of thing? Then breaking up 10 minutes later? Since school I always approach people I have a crush/animalistic magnetism to. My current boyfriend... well the flirting was... intresting (: And this was before we started going out. Since I'm in a relationship, I keep my crushes to myself. After all, they're only crushes, but I love my boyfriend and wouldn't want to ruin that. -
Linklinklink. I tracked down basically a boundless guide to what emo really is, for all you lamers out there. So, you know, shut it. Also, if you read more than a few paragraphs of it, you will realise that some of it is meant to be humorous, especially the "emo fashoin tips" page. Have fun with it. I'm tired of seeing a few of these really ignorant posts. :-/
Yano, funnily enough, even though people call themselves emo, or are quite willing to accept being called emo, I always thought it was a genre of music? A genre I'd probably dislike, but music none-the-less.

Batman is portrayed ninja-esque in the film Batman Begins. But I thought the point was that he defied the order to become a one man unit? Just a thought. Anywho, ninja's or pirates? How about Mongolian Ninja Pirates? XD On one hand, I have an awesome hot pink t-shirt that says 'Mad Ninja Skillz'. On the other hand, Johnny Depp plays a pirate. And Johnny Depp is plunderable. Let's make this easier. One Piece vs. Naruto. NARUTO WINS! And that's just on the basis of animation quality ;/

Scrambled eggs in the microwave O_o My boyfriend makes it so I'm not too sure how it's done. All you have to do is mix a few eggs, some milk and a spoon of butter in a microwavable measuring jug (or another tall microwavable containing unit... object... thing) then pop it in for a few minutes till it's done! Invite friends over and make shmores over the hob :3 Perhaps it's best no one takes my culinary advice anyway. I am capable of setting the house alight whilst trying to mix cereal with milk.

When I moved continents, from North America (Texas) to Europe (England). My entire life would have been different if my dad hadn't been promoted to a position that required him to work within the UK. Truthfully, I think my quality of life has increased dramatically. My chronic asthma has gone from a bi-yearly visit to intensive care to a yearly visit to the asthma nurse. I've had excellent results with the education here, and I've made more friends than I ever did back home. And of course I met my boyfriend here (which is a no-brainer seeing as I live here, but he really is one in a million).

BMXing doesn't really do it for me. My extreme sport has to be parkour. (: muscly men who can't keep still.

How do you picture earth and human's in 2039
Shi no Tenshi replied to liveinmybubble's topic in General Discussion
In the year 2039 I'll be 52, so I'll be filthy rich by then. And polyandry will be legal by then so I'll have many beautiful boy toys, and a nice modern Bugatti to accompany each of them. I will own most of the Carribean islands and Michael Moore will be my aging manservant for being such a fat politically-centred moron (planning he doesn't die from a major heart attack before then). Oh yeah, and people will be making ytmnd's about me when I'm the first to travel first class in Virgin and Google's collaboration project, the teleportation device. The future's bright. -
DS LITE! I think I'm getting one for my birthday.
I?d love to think that I?m younger, but having children and with my youngest being fourteen; it?s all too evident that I?m getting close to 50, literally. I suppose the only thing different is that other adults my age feel I am too soft on my children, but I see it as finally learning to let them make their own choices. You?re often harder on your first born than you are on the last one. If I were to go by physical appearance, well looking like a mom really fits. The only good thing is that people are so far off on my age by either guessing way too young or too old, it just means I?m not so easily defined. :) I?d rather not be known as the inflexible old lady living next door thank you very much.
Having said that, my neighbour is a crazy lady with about 5/6 children. All I ever hear coming from that house is 'SHUT UP!' or 'PUT THAT DOWN!' or 'NO!' o_o;
I guess the title is self-explanatory. What do you think about those kids with the following description?: - Girl pants. TIGHT girl pants (**shudder**) - Black make-up - "No one understands me" - Hair in face, covering one eye - obsessed with taking pictures of themselves - the color BLACK. - etc. you know what i'm talking about. edit --- do you believe they fit that description? is it just a fashion trend or is it feelings? are you "emo"? etc...
Yeah that seems about it. Can also be applicable to gay men (well most of my gay male friends anyway excluding the make up)... I don't really care. There were some people at uni who sort of followed the trend for emo music, but they were cool. Not exactly suicidal or 'misunderstood'. Maybe I'm too old for the scene ):
Didn't you hear? He's dating the Pefect Girl. Now we're all screwed.
D: But I am the perfect girl. In regards to girls always dating the bad guys... I really can't say I've experienced that. I usually go for the silent ones. Or the geeky guys.

Stuff you found funny that no one else understood?
Shi no Tenshi replied to Doublehex's topic in General Discussion
I think racist jokes are funny. Usually if they come from a black person though. -
You want them to like anime and manga and not be a nerd? Honey, that's what we in the biz like to call an oxymoron. Besides that, why have a virgin? Having been a virgin myself (it's my dirty, horrible secret) I can safely say that virgins suck in bed. If you're a virgin too, and you don't know what you like, then things are just going to get very awkward, very fast.[/color']
God, don't I know it. Sex is awkward enough as it is. Thinking about virgin sex puts me right off. As for a perfect man? Humans are not perfect. But the next best thing would probably be who I'm dating. He's tolerant, social and genuine. However, if anyone can find the perfect man, please give me his number.
"No children."[/size']
Agreed. I used to work with mentally disabled children. They were intresting. Cutest one had to be the kid with Down's, and the most annoying was a little girl with what seemed like severe ADD (she literally would climb the walls). One kid had Tourrette's, and I don't know why but I find it funny when really little kids swear  Bless him.

I did Wing Chun for a little while. And Tae Kwon Doe. Next, kickboxing!

Otaku Is A Child Predator's Heaven (PG Thread)
Shi no Tenshi replied to Pagan's topic in General Discussion
Any place that allows people to interact is susceptible to innapropriate interactions. In a way, there is a partial blame if a kid is tracked or abused from their ignorance in posting personal information. I'm sure most computer savvy kids have heard of never giving out their details, right? And I'm also sure many parents/teachers know of the dangers on the internet. I read once a young girl met up with an online person whom she assumed was a boy of her age. Her friends accompanied her, and lo-and-behold the young boy turned out to be a 40-something-year old. But did alarm bells go off? Nope. They remained 'friends' until she was nearly raped (the incident nearly took place when she went to his apartment alone to retrieve a cell phone she had left earlier when she visited with friends). Luckily, he's behind bars. It makes me angry to think that kids are either not being educated enough or that they are ignoring the education they recieve. On a side note, I'm not defending predators, neither am I blaming brainless children. -
I'm 18, 19 in a month or so. I don't think I've ever had my age mistaken. Inside, I feel 18/19, basically because I act like people my age do, I rationalise like many people my age... you get the picture. It's difficult to judge yourself. I know when I was 16 I thought that I could easily pass as a 20 year old if I put myself into that state of mind. Nowadays I realise that I probably barely passed for my own age. At 15/16 I was still throwing temper trantums. Those were the good ol' days.

Did you say you have no special programs? Wow. I'm gobsmacked.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section... I guess it's art related. Move if appropriate. I've started up a graphics/design community that can also include art. I'm looking for new talent to hire, and plan on making this an active forum with competitions and such. [link removed] If you despise these sort of things, at least browse my website. Links in the sig.

Thank you so much guys, these responses have been terrific. I won't be taking any more, so this topic is now open to general discussion. I'll also explain the concept of identity tourism online - basically where people adopt another gender, race or culture to represent themselves online i.e. I noticed a lot of people use Japanese anime icons when they themselves are western. Of course nothing wrong with this, we're all entitled to represent ourselves in whatever manner we choose. The intresting part is where people who take on another identity begin to create a 'false' stereotype of that identity. This is a fairly new concept to me, so there are books and articles about the subject that can probably explain it better than me!
By "avatar," I'm inclined to think you mean the more abstract sense of "online representation of yourself," rather than "the little picture that you have above each of your posts." Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'll edit my post to include the appropriate answers to your survey.[/size']
Yep it's to do with the little pictures. I'm researching identity tourism on the internet (there have been some classic examples coming up in this topic - which is brilliant!). Avatars are the only image we have of a person when we go onto a forum or visual chat, and they are often specifically chosen or made to represent the individual. As a result they are a subject of great intrest in internet psychology. On another note - the responses so far have been amazing. Every single one has been incredibly substancial - thanks everyone!

I am no longer taking any more responses - thank you to everyone who replied. This topic is still open to discussion of the results or identity tourism. (also posted on Sonicanime.net) I'm doing some research on social stereotypes and decided to do something on internet racial and gender issues. Anyway, the following questions require your opinions on race and gender. If you have a minute to spare please answer them as truthfully as possible. If you feel that you either don't want to answer a question or would prefer to pm me the answer that's absolutely fine. One word answers or minimal answers are permissable. ---- 1. If your avatar has a character, what race, age (if applicable) and gender is it? (avatars without characters are neutral or asexual) 2. Would you say your avatar is masculine, feminine or both? Why? 3. Does it have mature or childish attributes? 4. What gender and race are you? 5. When you meet someone online, unless they specify, do you feel you naturally think of them as white? (Answering yes is not racist - this is much more common than you think) 6. Do you roleplay? If yes, identify your roleplaying character in terms of race, history, gender and sexual preference (if applicable). 7. Have you ever been mistaken for another race or gender or have been asked due to the lack of detail in your profile? 8. Have you mistaken others for being of another race, age or gender? How many times (if applicable)? 9. What does your online nickname mean or how did you come up with it? 10. Do you think people online tend to correctly guess your age, race or gender most of the time without being told? 11. Do you think people tend to correctly guess your sexual preference without being told? 12. Would you feel threatened if people online knew your age, gender, race or sexual preference? If so, why? ---- Thanks for your time.
