Here's one that happened to me last night: I was taking a walk in the park, thinking about my girlfriend who broke up with me just the day before. She went to my best friend, who had been her boyfriend before. Well, he had been abusing her before, but she went back anyway. (This really worries me.) I see them sitting the park bench, and I ignore it, but Eric stopped me and told me to get out of the park. I refused, and so he got mad, so she left before things got ugly. Which they did. He literally beat the hell out of me. He used a nice, thick, long piece of wood, and the fact he's bigger doesn't help. He pounds away at me, and I lose two teeth, and most of the skin in my left side of my mouth. I drag my self home and treat my wounds accordingly. I feel like crap. -_- I can barely move without pain cousing through my body. :/

Let me tell you something about it from someone who's thought about it. Life can always get better, but if you kill yourself, then there's no turning back. If you just stick to it, you can pull through this. You don't need to kill yourself. Suicide is just an escape for the weak willed. Don't be weak willed.

With every last ounce of strength in his body, he got up, and moved in front of Velvet and Sandman, twisted leg limp and dull. Breathing hard, he exclamed, "You and Brittney and Shinyo and all of them, you deserve to love each other. I'm the misfit in the group. I just didn't want the kid to hate himself like I hated my self. If that's how it is, I'll go. I don't care if I die, even though you hate me, I still love you."
-
Spence looked at her, and smilied weakly as the necklace was thrown upon his chest. Blood lay splattered on his chest from him puking it up, and his leg twisted and horribly broken. "I...know you...hate me. You hate me....because I ...I...I didn't trust you. Before I leave, I'll let you...you know why. My...mother cheated...with a woman...on...my dad...before marrage. She got a...a diease...that made, made me...made me...telekinetic. I hated...it...and I didn't...want the same...to happen to your...kid. I love you..."

OOC: Now I'm crying... IC: Damn...I love...you...can't feel my pulse...Shinyo...why? And fell backwards, the shock that it was just a game that led her to hate him, when he had loved her, was too much. He fell on the sword, it drove right through his leg, and he lay there, in his own blood, lost in his mind. A song that he knew rang through his head, Ooh, oh, oh Ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh I can't believe the news today I can't close my eyes and make it go away How long must we sing this song, how long? Broken bottles under childern's feet Bodies strew across the street On a Sunday Bloody Sunday Sunday Bloody Sunday But I won't heed the battle call I push my back against the wall On a Sunday Bloody Sunday A Sunday Bloody Sunday And this battle's yet begun We've lost, but tell me who's won? Trenches dug within our hearts Mothers, brothers, sisters torn apart On a Sunday Bloody Sunday Sunday Bloody Sunda How long my I sing this song How long, How long-on-on-ong? And he was dying quick, he only had eight to seven days before he would die. All over a stupid game.
-
Dropping the sword in shock, he felt his lips, cut, dry and wrinkled. They bore no evidence of the kiss, but he knew it happened. As he sat down, all of the blood and bodies were swept away, and Sandman sat in the air next to him. "Here's the clue, alright? I'll open a portal so you can talk to your friends. They have to come get you, though. All the way through the hells you went through, and here. They don't have to fight the hells in this room, though. Goodbye, Spencer." And he dissapeared, leaving a portal again. He saw Brittney kiss Velvet, and both seemed to enjoy it. Tears streamed down his face anew, and he touched the portal, sending ripples across that. Out of the corner of her eye, Velvet saw Spence, and broke the kiss. "I knew it...I go away, you don't feel sorry for me, that whole 'Oh, I miss you Spence' thing was just a lie, huh? You just wanted to make out with Brittney!" He said in more of a teary and hurt voice rather than an accusing one.
-
"Remember I love you... Those words rang in his head as Sandman closed the portal, and looked at him. "You human with you love...it gives you strength and weakness. No matter. Are you ready?" Spence just flipped the blade around, and nodded. Sandman pulled the fabric of reality again, and motioned for him to go into the portal. His eyes closed, he walked through. It was a giant, white cube. A blank canvas. But Shaun opened a door, and walked through it, eyes red and swollen, body torn in places. Spence grabbed the sword, which was a Zwihander, and heafted it into the air. "What the hell are you doing, Spence? Why not be Sandman? ...does that "lover" Velvet mean that much to you?" His eyes narrowed to slits, Spence nodded. "I see...then die." And Shaun started to fling fireballs at him, but he countered with the water molicules that had been in the room from past fights in this white void. They nullifed each other, and Spence just stood still, wings glowing brigher and brighter, until they became actual wings, white and feathery. Flying forward, he began to swoop and dive, cutting Shaun in different places, but Shaun got a fireball in on his left wing, and he fell to the ground. Getting back up, he forced the feathers together again with a painful groan. Letting the wings go back in, he chucked the sword in Shaun's head, killing the fake again. This time, Candy and Brittney came through the door, and tried to overpower him with projections of Velvet dying or some equally horrifying thing. With a psychic shove, they were flung against the wall. He began to ignite fireballs, adding a little of the earth that had come in with him into it, so that it was a molten rock, then he flung it them at Candy and Brittney. Candy thrown a 4" inch long army knife into his arm, which bled quickly. But only Cedric, Shinyo and Velvet remained. They each came at once, three verses one. Pulling the sword out of the wall, sweat flinging everywhere mingled with blood, he begain to fight again. Killing Cedric with only a few scratches, he had a little more trouble with Shinyo. Shinyo had managed to get a gun, which was the most dangerous thing that anyone of them had for weapons besides Spence. By the time he killed Shinyo, a bullet had grazed his arm, and his leg. Now, only the Velvet fake remained...

Spence got up, not caring about the stifling wounds, the blood, the gore splattered across the floor. Wrentching the sword out, he held it to his stomach, and then asked Sandman, "...Why the hell aren't I outta here? I did everything I needed to...but I just- her...I should of died for her. Please let me go back..." His arms shook, but the sword stayed straight. If he was only going to make Velvet suffer, and couldn't help her, he should just be gone. Pressing it against his skin slightly, it cut, a small trail of blood falling down his chest. Sandman looked at him over the book, "Like I said, the trials have a mind of their own. I just help them decide. ...I might be able to arrange another for you, shorter, one Hell, but it'll be all of these combined. Do you accept?" Spence nodded, but dug the sword in a little more, while saying, "Can...can I talk to Velvet for a second? I promise I won't go back to her, because you'd just kidnap us all. Just a portal for sound to go through, and an image of me." The Sandman thought about it, and nodded slowly. He may be a jack***, but he was kind at times. He pulled on the veil of reality, and Spence saw Velvet on the couch, clutching her stomach, and holding onto Shinyo. "Velvet...can you hear me?"

Bloodied and bruised, he walked proudly into the final chamber, armed with the sword his twin used, and his everlasting love. His clothes torn into ribbons and bows, he wore only his pants. Velvet stood ahead of him, but not nearly as beautiful or kind as the real one. He steeled himself, and stood before her. With a warm voice, she asked while she levitated in the air, "Why do you want to kill me? I'm Velvet..." Spence shook his head, and hefted the sword. "The real Velvet is back home, crying for me, because of your bastard master. I'm here to get back, damnit!" And he charged as her twisted, bloody wings spread. Her face was ripped off, showing only blood and and her skull. With a slash, he aimed for her head, which was blocked, even though she lost an arm, she dived at him, Her remaining hand a needle, putting up the sword with his arm behind it, he deflected it, but she cought him on the side of the stomach. With a grimance, he dove to the side, and started to unfurl his wings. It was the battle of the Angel versus the Demon, matched in skill and power, in ablities, but not in one thing. He didn't need to say it. It was just there. Both were exausted, but with a heave, he stabbed the sword into the ground, while making a fireball. "Terra Ripper!" And the fireball slinging mass of earth smashed the skull of the fake Velvet. Throwing the sword aside, he panted, sitting down. But no Sandman came. He was stuck in this Labyritnh.

Alright, good sign ups people. Sean (Icarus2K) and Steff (Delirium) just need to finsh their sign ups, and if you could, Happyjoyjoy0011, broaden on your description, or find a pic that would be good. Also, because I'm dedicated, I made a discussion board for this on Proboards. Click here to go to the index. I've made it so you can just talk about the RPG, or whatever you want. I'll expand it soon, I'm just busy. Also, if you want to be a mod, give some reasons why you deserve to be one in a PM, and I'll get things fixed up. Chao, Spence.

OOC:This post will be all fake Spence, until I say BREAK IC: Spence brought the sword down to Sean, head, which was blocked. His wings slammed together to make a gust of wind to make him loose his balance, Swinging around, he shot a Holy Lance at Sean, then started to charge up Angel Feathers. Letting them fly, he charged up a Prism Sword, although the attacks were much weaker than the orginal Spence, they were still potent. OOC:BREAK IC: Spence felt a presense like his in a chamber a few ways back, so he flew down the hall, charging up the most powerful thing he had, Absolute Judgement. Winging around the corner, he saw his clone and Shaun in battle, so he let Absolute Judgement take its course. It flew from his fingertips, making a shining apperation, just like him. It spewed different attacks, before becoming the tech Judgement. It killed the Clone, and he flew over to Shaun. "Get out of here, Its my trail. Tell Velvet I love her more than I love life, and that I will come back. Tell her I'll get the clue. Tell her I'm coming home.." "But Spen-" "Just go, I've only got one more thing to do before I get the Clue and can go home. Just go." Shaun nodded, and headed back to the portal in which he had came. Spence turned around, and thought This last one is for you, Velvet. and he walked into the final chamber, ready to fight.

OOC: No, because all the writing I've done. You're not stubborn IC: Ungh, Velvet? Am....I...no...must...finishHe staggered to his feet, and started to trudge forward, when a sword shaped shadow ran him through his stomach, then pulled out, leaving him to die in this hellish place. Falling from his posture, he clasped his hand on the bracelet, and thought while crying in pain and sorrow, I'm sorry...I failed you...love me please. And his breath exausted. He lay there, a fallen warrior, far away from family and friends. He woke several hours later, and looked at his stomach, and only saw a giant scar, nothing else. How...no, I'll save that for later. I've gotten farther in, somehow. He stood, wound aching slightly. Trudging forward, he fell, stumbled, and tripped, but always got back up, every step getting him farther. He fell once again, and someone was looking down on him, it was Shinyo. "You stupid maggot, you think she loves you? Then why did she let you fall?" Staggering up again, Spence's ashen face stared at Shinyo's, and he told him, "She was saving someone who means worlds to me too. I've got no doubt she has some feelings for me." Shinyo looked at him again, and said while his arm became a shadowed blade, the same that stabbed him ealier. "Hmm...if she loves you, then you'll win this fight. So, in other words, she don't love you!" And he lunged, as Spence dove to the side, firing a weak blast of fire. His wings spread, and with a cry, "Angel Wings!" The fake Shinyo was dead, and Spence trudged on, thinking, only myself, then...Velvet.

OOC:This is killing me... IC: Blood trickled down his face from his exertions. Still, there were about 5 more trials... the only thing that kept him going was Velvet, and the sorrow she must be going through. With a groan, he settled down, and went to a relitively peaceful sleep. Tossing and turning didn't count, but they bloodied his back, and his stomach from the jagged rocks. With a sigh, he got up, and started on his journey again. He fell asleep and just flew, body limp while the wings held him up. Waking up, he saw a small town, just like his own. But something must be was different...it reeked of death. The toxic asslult hit his nose with a wave, making him retch. "Jebus, its digusting here, what in god's name did this... oh crap." Brittney walked down the street, with a minigun and a small explosives package. Another building blew up, sending corpses and rubble across the red and grey ground. The colors mesmerized Spence, a colage of death and destruction. He had to escape. He just had to. Leaping higher into the air, he began to make the air pure, solid light, and the ground below Brittney became white, with runes of light etched in it. With a yell, "Prism Sword!" Five sword shaped projectiles shot from the ground, and stabbed through Brittney. It was just another fake. he fell into darkness again, and floated slowly to the ground, and lay to sleep.

Spence sat down in a clearing, wings ruffling around his body, warming him. They had stayed grafted to his back for some reason, so he didn't need to cast them again, which was good. He thought of only Velvet, and pulled out a Charm Bracelet that she had given him. Putting it on his arm, he drifted into sleep... Waking in fading light, Spence looked at the bracelet, and kissed it. It was his only momento of her in this godforsaken place. The darkness seemed to rob him of the memory of the time she gave it to him, so he made a vow. A vow that he'd get out, and get the clue for Velvet and David so-so what? So she could just run off with him? Nevermind, he'd still get the clue. Trudging along the bloodied and bruised road, his wings picked him up, as he was too tired to walk. The shadows flickered in the light, casting evil and sinster shapes ahead of him. As Spence turned his head to the right, he saw Shaun. However, Shaun was getting ready to shoot him with the Glock pistol that stood firm in his hand. Having only a second to, Spence dove to the side, and yelled while do the nesscary things to make one, "Red Ray of Destruction!" And the finger wide beam lanced at Shaun's head, burning a hole in it. He still squeezed off a few rounds like nothing happened. One hit his arm, punching the flesh out onto the already soiled ground. With a cry, Spence put his arm to the wound, and to his horror, was able to see the ground through it. His healing powers with Telekinekis may be good, but that was a nasty wound. Spence decided to launch his second most powerful attack he could, Angel Wings. Focusing, the bullets slowed, and a few feathers shot from his wings, sharper than the sharpest knife. they split the bullets, and cut Shaun's hands off, and then his head. The fake thing fell to the ground, dead. The Sandman didn't appear yet, so Spence walked over to the corpse, and checked the pockets. He found a bottle of Iodine, and applied it to the wound, stiching it up with threads of his wings. "You're a very resourseful kid, Spence. Rest here, for the next trial will be longer." and the Sandman dissapeared. However, Candy appeared from Shaun's corpse, and had two knives in her hand. He barely had enough time to jump out of the way, launching a small fireball at Candy. She looked at her arm, burned, but just cut the flesh away with the knife, and dove for him once again. Spence tugged one of the knives out of her hand, and shot it at her head with Telekinekis. It killed the thing, And he fell to the ground, weary.

Spence's first thing he did as he entered the strange room was unfurl his wings, as they cast a dim light over the darkened and ashy plane. With a grim sigh, he said in his head, "I've gotta get this clue, for my sanity, and for Velvet. No matter how much she may like Shinyo and Brittney, I'll still love her. Seven days, huh? That'll be a breeze, I hope." Hovering through the dark, a streetlight shone up ahead, and a stickly yellow light covered the road where he had made the Pendant for Velvet. She was on the ground, breathing hard, (OOC:Mature things in the next segment) and a scruffy, old, tattered man was on top of her.
Her clothes were half off, bra torn and blouse no where in sight. Angered beyond belief, Spence quickly forged a blade of light, as the disgusting man started to thrust against her, with a sickening grin on his face.
Spence's wings burst into brilliance as he charged, sword of light aiming for the man's head, but was met with shadow, a pincer like a bug's, made of shadow. It seemed to reflect the blade, and the man turned. His body was covered in tattered rags, but a large chunk of him was missing, his whole left arm, and his left half of his torso. It was filled in with shadow, red eye covering a small part of the man's face, his whole left side. With a wicked grin, the thing launched a ball of shadow at him, but Spence swerved, throwing the Fake Velvet her clothes. It was time to do battle. Dodging and Weaving, Spence called out, "INDIGMANT JUDGEMENT!" And a dome of pure light surrounded the thing, and ten spears of solid light crashed into it, with one coming from the top. It withered and shrieked in agony and horror, as Spence turned aroud, only to see the Sandman. "So, the ablity to defeat the shadows of your heart lies within you...good. Rest now, for six more days are still to come." And turned, dissapearing. As the area lit up, Spence saw the corpses of many people, kids and adults alike. He wasn't the first one to face this trial...

W...where am I? I should be dead...the hell? I'm on the street? Why is the street empty...this isn't Earth, or its someplace on earth that no one's ever been. Spence stood up, feeling for cuts or bruises. Nothing. This wasn't his home, he wasn't surpised though. His thoughts drifted to Velvet once again, forever burned in his mind, a symbol of love. Standing, the scenery shifted to his alley, and a man in a white buisness suit and a medium silver beard stood in his way from the door. A small smile crossed his face, and he said bemused, "I see the young hero is awake...good. I have a test for you, win and you get a clue. Lose, and your beloved will never see the same you. This is going to be seven days of hell, really. Pure dark inside, all your senses will be tested every waking hour, mintue, second. It will be no more than a day on the outside world, but here, seven days of Hell, remember that young master." And he stepped away from the door, but Spence stood fast, and made his wings unfurl...only they didn't. "Your powers will not work here, however they will in the door, so I suggest you go through it now." Spence walked to the door, and stepped inside, but not before saying, "I know who the hell you are, Sandman." And the darkness engulfed him.

I don't know if you can hear this, but I love you so much, I never want to part with you. I-I've loved you since I first met you, I just felt that we belonged together. Take my hand, and let's fly on the wings Zeypher... She smilied, grabbing his hand, and he asked, "Do you want wings of your own?" He focused, and elegant, gourgous violet wings much like his own blossomed from her back. He didn't let go, because of the fear of loosing her again. However, somthing was clinging onto his legs, and he looked down. It was Britteny, so he grapsed her hand, and put her on Velvet's back. Shaun was plummeting to the earth, but Spence kissed Velvet on the lips, and whispered, "If I don't make it back...remember me." She looked sad and puzzled, but nodded. He dove to the ground, the words of a song ringing in his head. Hold me now, oh hold me now Till this hour has gone around And I'm caught on the rising tide for to face Van Demon's land... His wings layed on his back, he plummeted to the earth, sending his telekinentic Mana into Shaun, and closing his eyes as he fell to the earth, his wings gone. Shaun was on a rooftop somewhere else, and Spence thought of only one thing Velvet... End Chapter One OOC: Steffanie asked me to do this.

His mind floated around, lost in his state of delirium and fevorish want to awaken. A clear note pierced the liquid barrier encircling him, and he put a hand through it, then the other, and pulled himself up. He woke up, and looked around, blood dried on his lips. A clot of blood was in his mouth, and he coughed it up, right onto his lap. He saw her, her beautful and wonderus face above his, and he reached his hand up, and touched her face, not minding the blood. "Do you know why I love you?" Its because you understand me, and trust me." He chuclked, more blood covering his face. He really did love her, but with this knowledge of what she had done, he didn't think she loved him. "You don't have to love me back. Love is sometimes a one sided affair. Can you help me get up? I'll fly us back to your house."
-
~Flashback~ He sat in the alley, looking out on the street. He saw her, her elegant form waltzing across the dusty and dirty street. Grabbing some tools he had found in the garbage, a blowtorch, some stuff to make glass, and a beautful golden necklace, he set to work, coming out of the alley three hours later. The locket was tear drop shaped, a soft crystal blue. It had the words "Even if I go, I'll still be with you" engraved in the side, and a little picture of him inside. Running to the nearest house, he asked if he could use the phone. They agreed, and he darted inside, and called Velvet. "Hey Velvet, can I come to your house?" "Sure, come when you want. See you." Thanking them, he lept out the door, and ran to her house, notebooks and other things in a ratty old bookbag. He rang the door, and Velvet stood in the doorway, telling him to come in. She brought him up to her room, and they lay on the bed, Spence looking over her shoulder to see what she was doing. Building up the courage, he tapped on her shoulder, pulling the locket out. She looked up, and he nodded as she bent her neck down, he did the clasp, whispering, "I made this for you because I love you..." ~End Flashback~
-
His wings flapped, and Spence looked up, tears like a river flowing down his face. He asked Velvet in a quivering voice, "Do you know what its like, to be me? Its hell, its a living hell, people mocking you, throwing things at you, trying to kill you. I've admired you from afar, because I was afriad you'd hate me. Just because I was born this way." Looking down, he saw Velvet looking at her lap. He clucthed at his neck, and was hit in the head with a good sized rock from a kid that had hated him from the start. He lanced a beam at the person, burning his arm. A spindle of blood trickled out of his mouth, and he laughed, a bit of blood spurting out. "I made that locket for you, because I love you..." Then he passed out.
-
Spence's blush quickly turned to a red hot anger, a seething pit of molten anger, burning his soul. With a flash, his wings were spread, and he jumped into the air, yelling in fury, "DO YOU THINK I'M A DAMN IDIOT?! I KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON IN YOUR BEDROOM! GOD, MAYBE I SHOULDN'T HELP THOSE THAT THINK I'M TOO STUPID TO REALIZE WHAT THEY DO! I USED TO LIKE YOU, VELVET, BUT TO YOU, I GUESS I'M JUST A DUMB***!" And he flew away, lancing Red Rays all over the place. The park was burning fast, so he sighed, and put out the fires with small bursts of wind from his strange wings. He landed in his alley, and slumped down, and started to cry... OOC: Hey, something had to happen ;)

The growing tension between he and young master swordsman Ky Kiske was becoming more and more bothersome, and Sol realized that the majority of the knights bore him little more than ill will. When he saw his opportunity, he took it; Sol managed to desert the knights' camp with one of the Order's most valuable treasures... the blade known as Fireseal. It is now five years later after the end of the Crusades, and Sol has returned to his former ways. On a particularly lucrative bounty run, one of his marks begs to be spared, telling Sol about a faraway tournament being organized by the Sacred Order. Spence pieced it together, and then sighed. Damn Damn Damn... why? Meh, that ain't my buisness. I'm going with them though. I should've know earlier He focused and then blue, gigantic wins like an angel's, but crystaline, and cyborg like. They picked him up, and took him silently. He looked like an angel, but the Telekinekis was doing most of the work. He rested in a tree, and heard them say somthing about dying. Floating out of the tree, he assured, "I'll protect you, so if anyone will die, it'll be me."

This is all of the need to know info, along with the story: 'When science goes to far, and the wolrd teeters on the edge of distruction, who do we blame? We can only blame ourselves.' Guilty Gear: Rebirth of Outrage Magical Science In the early part of the 21st century, scientists discovered a new source of power, which promised unlimited, pollution-free energy for all. It was labeled ‘magic.’ There were four types of this magic, based off of the primal elements of nature: Fire, Lightning, Wind, and Water. These were the elements officially recognized as being part of Magical Science. However, there was a fifth element, the element ‘Ki.’ Very few people had the ability to use it, most of who were of Asian descent. The abilities and powers of Ki cannot be duplicated or harnessed by machine; so while Ki is one of the types of magic, it is technically not part of Magical Science. In the years after its discovery, Magical Science quickly proliferated, becoming the ultimate technology. The old technology—the crude machines that raped the earth and threatened to turn humans into nothing more than fleshy cogs in a giant machine—was banned by most of the world, labeled as ‘Blacktech.’ However, Magical Science would end up unleashing a horror upon the world that eclipsed anything ‘Blacktech’ had done. Gear Project The original purpose of the Gear Project is unknown, lost in the fog of war and the shadows of time. These Gears were supposed to be a means to further evolution—in that they are not themselves a separate species, but an altered one. An existing being can be transformed into a Gear by binding Magic to its DNA, or those Gears can be created from scratch. Gears can be created from any animals, be they lions, whales, dogs... or humans. In 2016, the first true Gear was created. A scientist by the name of Dr. Frederick Angheiz, an American, was turned into the prototype Gear. Afterwards, the Gear Project mysteriously shut down, its researchers and facilities vanishing overnight. The now-Gear Frederick disappeared, and his exact fate is unknown (at least as far as official records go). The Gear modifications imbued Frederick with enormous, seemingly infinite power, as well as stopping his aging process. However, shortly after Frederick’s disappearance, stories began to circulate about an extremely powerful and skilled bounty hunter who seemed to appear from nowhere, as suddenly as Frederick had vanished. And all thoughts of Gears were dispersed in the silence following the Project. Outrage Among the head scientists on the Gear Project was a man known only by the name “That Man.” In 2073, Frederick received word that the United States of America was restarting the Gear Project, in secret, headed by “That Man.” When Frederick learned of the reborn Gear Project, he began work on a massive Anti-Gear weapon: the Outrage. The only person who knows what the Outrage is truly capable of, however, is Frederick himself; its creator has been the one person to see it in its true form. The Outrage was created in eight separate parts, the Jinki. Each of these Jinki, or tools, was designed to amplify the magical powers the user possessed. The eight Jinki are: Fuuraiken (Thunderseal Sword—Thunder Element) [Sword] Fuuenken (Fireseal Sword—Fire Element) [Sword] Zessen (Stopping Fans—Wind Element) [Fans] Senga (Flashing Tooth—Water Element) [Sword] Ekitoku (Increasing Fervor—Fire Element) [Battleaxe] Kojouhaku (White on the Lake—Water Element) [Trident] Senhoshiken (Thousand-Star Sword—Wind Element) [Sword] Getsu no Kuroi (Black of Moon—Thunder Element) [Whip] However, the Outrage’s true potential is unknown, as it has never been used in its ultimate form, save once... Justice The purpose of the new Gear Project was different than that of the original. This time, the purpose of Gears was not to provide a means of furthering evolution—but to act as bioweapons. In order to ensure that the Gears would follow orders, they were designed to have no free will, to run on instinct, to be completely obedient. The production model Gears—those that were mass-produced under the program—were successes in this regard. They would obey without question, not caring about themselves or about any aspect of life other than fighting. However, they were just production models, all the same, all inferior to the Perfect Gear that had come before them. This Gear was named Justice. As the first True Gear, Justice possessed more power than practically all the rest of the mass-produced models combined. The power of Type 01, as she was code-named, was absolute. Yet Justice was different from the mindless puppets that came after in more ways than sheer power. Whether this was intentional on the part of “That Man” who created her, or whether it evolved within her naturally is unknown, but it is a fact that Justice came to possess free will. She was the first Commander Gear, the most powerful. The Command-Type Gears would be able to give the lesser Gears around them some semblance of free will, to direct their power towards certain ends. Through her power, Justice transformed some of the more powerful non-production models into Sub-commanders. They too had a form of free will and could control the many lesser models, yet they were but relays in a chain. Justice had the power to create them all, and she had the power to control and override them all. Without the Sub-commander Gears, normal Gears would relapse into their obedient state; without Justice, the entire chain would collapse. Whether Frederick knew of Justice—more specifically what she was capable of—or not is also unknown. It is clear that Frederick, wielding the Outrage, attacked the research facility in an attempt to kill “That Man.” The Outrage’s one and only use was here, where it delivered a powerful, near-fatal wound to the newly born Justice. The attack failed, and the Outrage was split into the eight Jinki once more, which came under the custody of the United Nations. Yet Justice did not escape unscathed. The immensely powerful attack weakened her so badly that she only survived through the aid of a powerful, mechanical battle-suit, which she wore from that point on. That battle-suit would become a feared and hated image in the mind of humanity from then on. Justice rallied all the Gears that had been created, and led them in rebellion against humanity. And thus began one of the darkest periods in human history—the Crusades. Crusade In the year 2074, Justice’s forces struck quickly and powerfully, unleashing their might upon an unsuspecting world. Their first act of war was to attack the island nation of Japan. Those few who witnessed the carnage and survived to tell the tale were forever scarred, unable to put those horrible images into words. Japan was all but obliterated. The cities fell to the might of the Gear onslaught, crumbling into burning rubble. The few Japanese survivors were placed in camps, to prevent the extinction of their race—which had been all but wiped out already. That initial, crushing attack will always be remembered as the most vicious of the Crusades. Humanity was unprepared for the tide of war, and they were overwhelmed. Yet the humans refused to succumb without a fight. Resistance sprang up, eventually forming cohesive groups that warred against the Gears. By far, the most famous of these groups is the Sacred Order of Holy Knights. It was founded in 2113 by the legendary blademaster Kliff Undersn, who is the only non-Asian to fully master the use of Ki. At a young age, he had been saved from a Gear attack by an amazingly skilled anti-Gear bounty hunter. Kliff resolved that he would one day save people in need like the mysterious bounty hunter had done for him. So he created the Sacred Order to fight the Gears. And the Crusade continued, a cycle of destruction. No one was left untouched by the sorrow of the great war. Kliff Undersn’s stepson, the Holy Knight Tesu Undersn, was captured during a raid... he was never heard from again. Yet the now-aged swordsman refused to let the despair overwhelm him. The war raged on... It was the year 2174. If there was good news for the human side, it was the presence of two new powerful warriors in the Sacred Order. One was the young yet brilliant swordsman Ky Kiske, the Frenchman who even at the young age of 14 was appointed as Kliff’s second-in-command. The other was the enigmatic, taciturn former bounty hunter who went by the name Sol Badguy. Ky and Sol If there was one thing that the young Frenchman despised about Sol Badguy, it was his nonchalance. Ky himself trained and studied the use of magic for hours upon end each day; it was through these rigorous exercises and his own considerable talent that he managed to attain his impressive power in battle. The blond teenager was highly charismatic and intelligent, a master strategist—those qualities, along with his loyalty and morality, were what caused Kliff to select him as his successor. While Sol was no less intelligent than Ky, he simply didn’t seem to give a damn. The bounty hunter frequently bordered on insubordination, rarely following orders. He never trained, never sought to increase his power. But what infuriated Ky Kiske more than anything else—even though Sol never studied nor trained, even though Ky worked daily to become a better fighter... Sol was always more powerful. Whenever the two fought, Sol would inevitably end up walking away, leaving a defeated Ky on the ground. Sol never took him seriously, which caused Ky’s rage to build. Since it was the most official faction representing humanity in the Crusades, the United Nations gave the Sacred Order two of the treasured Jinki—the Fuuenken and the Fuuraiken. Kliff Undersn wielded the Thunderseal until his retirement as the head of the Holy Knights. The ancient swordsman received the massive Dragonslayer blade, and passed the Fuuraiken as well as the leadership of the Sacred Order to the then-16-year-old Ky Kiske. Shortly after the leadership passed to Ky, a fight between Sol and the Frenchman escalated past what was considered normal for a training duel. That night, Sol Badguy left the Sacred Order, taking the treasured Fuuenken with him. Sol Badguy The theft was not a theft per se, however. Sol Badguy was merely stealing back what was rightfully his property in the first place. Shortly after his initial transformation into a Gear, the scientist Frederick took to wearing a band on his head. This band contained a device known as a Gear Cell, which suppressed Frederick’s Gear form, allowing him to remain in a human state. It also sealed away the vast majority of his power, yet he was still far beyond any other, even in his sealed state. Sometime after the beginning of the Crusades, Frederick took on the name Sol Badguy, and devoted his life to the hunting down and killing of all Gears. It was he who had saved the young Kliff Undersn, and it was he who had been recruited by the same Kliff Undersn into the Sacred Order. With the Fireseal Blade, which he himself had created in the first place, Sol Badguy left the Holy Knights. The Fall of Cliff: Testament One of the problems with the Gear forces, as Justice saw, was that they lacked true free will. The Gears took orders from the Sub-Commanders, who in turn took their orders from Justice herself. If any major change were to take place in a battle plan, it would have to come directly from Type 01. While the Gears had the advantage in terms of sheer battle power, this lack of versatility was one of their biggest weaknesses—one that led to several defeats. To remedy this, Justice decided to create a new class of Sub-Commander Gear. These Gears were either created from humans who had been captured, or were created using genetic data gathered from corpses of fallen warriors. These Gear/human hybrids had power far greater than that of the normal Sub-Commanders, as well as possessing greater free will than any other Gear save Justice herself. If there were a flaw in this plan, it became readily evident. Several of the new hybrids rebelled, breaking off from Justice’s forces and forming their own faction. The ultimate goal of these rogue Gears was the destruction of Justice, yet they were not averse to attacking humans—and humanity rarely held back, even against the Gears not allied with Justice. While the presence of this new faction troubled Justice slightly, the Queen of Gears still had many of this new breed of Sub-Commander Gear on her side. One of which, her right-hand man, had been created from the captured Holy Knight Tesu Undersn—Kliff’s son. This new Gear, who went by the name of Testament, became almost as feared as Justice herself. When rumors of Testament reached the ear of the ancient blademaster, Kliff knew that he had to stop what had become of his beloved adopted son. Ky Kiske found out about what Kliff was planning to do, and set off to assist his former master in any way possible. Although he was utterly unconcerned with either Ky, Kliff, or Testament, Sol Badguy realized that this was the best time to strike at Type 01. And so, the five warriors—Ky Kiske, Kliff Undersn, Testament, Sol Badguy, and Justice—converged on an ancient battlefield. The Fall of Cliff: Grave What purpose the monument served in the days when Japan was a living country is now unknown. After Justice’s forces swept through the city of Kyoto in that initial onslaught, however, its purpose changed. It became a tomb. The endless stairs that climbed up to the scorched sky were still stained with blood, were still scarred from the battles that had taken place there. Nothing lived in that godforsaken path to hell, which made it a fitting place to die. It was there that Kliff Undersn, the strongest warrior humanity has ever known, met his adopted son in combat. Testament was Justice’s second-in-command, and had every ounce of the power that would be expected as such. The battle was fierce, forcing both parties to call upon every ounce of their courage and strength. Forces that cannot be explained with mere words shook the sepulcher. The battle raged for the better part of a day, with neither of the two gaining the upper hand. However, in the end, even the might of Testament succumbed to the power that Kliff held within. The powerful Gear fell before the man who had been his father... and yet, Kliff spared his life. The aged warrior had not seen the desire for humanity’s destruction on Testament’s face. A burning pain lurked within the young Gear, the power of Justice’s command. Rather than kill his adopted son, Kliff turned his sights on Type 01 herself, who had been watching the entire battle from the top of those battle-scarred stairs. Kliff and Justice had fought sixteen times over the course of the Crusades. They were equally matched in power. However, the master swordsman was weakened from his fight against Testament... There, upon the tomb that led to the scorched skies of heaven, among the ruins that were once a city of hundreds of thousands... Kliff Undersn fell. Meet Again Maddened with grief over the loss of his mentor, the young Ky Kiske charged Justice, yet even the brilliantly skilled swordsman was no match for the Queen of Gears. Ky’s final, desperate, Ride the Lightning was interrupted by a powerful energy blast from Type 01, and the young knight was downed. Yet the current that young Kiske had channeled had shorted out the battle suit that Justice had worn—and the control along with it. Before Justice could kill the unconscious human, though, she was stopped by a figure from the past: Sol Badguy. Then, she shed the armor in which she had been trapped in for a century, and the Angel of Death spread her wings. The full-power Justice was easily able to defeat the Corrupted Flame, however, as the bounty hunter knelt at her feet, Type 01 realized that his power, too, was sealed. With a swift blast of electricity, Justice broke the Gear Cell on Sol Badguy’s forehead, releasing the Perfect Flame once more… Type 01 met her prototype on the battlefield. After an eternity of combat, the Angel of Death was victorious over her demonic counterpart. Yet before she could finish the job and kill Sol, she was interrupted by a stranger, an elegantly dressed man smoking a pipe. The man, calling himself “nightwalker,” halted all of Justice’s attempts to wound him, yet did not retaliate. He informed Justice that this was not the final battlefield, and it was not the final confrontation between Alpha and Omega yet. Justice retreated from the Grave. Likewise, Sol staggered to his feet, intending to kill the “nightwalker.” However, the old man retreated, leaving Sol with a simple haiku. The next to awake was the knight Ky Kiske, who had watched the entire fight from a semi-conscious haze… realizing that Sol was a Gear, he climbed to his feet, lurching at the wounded Sol, intending to kill him. Even in his weak state, Sol was able to defend himself from the wounded Ky. Sol left the young boy with the message that he alone was the hope of humanity. He alone was the hope of the world… and then Sol left, and Ky promptly passed out. Aftermath: Dizzy When Ky Kiske awoke, there was no one around him. There was nothing living around him, and there was nothing dead around him. Even the body of Kliff Undersn had mysteriously vanished. Despairing, Ky managed to stagger back to the world of the living... Justice, under the cover of the fog of war, had retrieved the unconscious body of Testament, as well as the corpse of humanity’s greatest warrior. She returned to her hidden sanctuary, where she proceeded to nurse her own wounds as well as those of her second-in-command. Justice constructed a new armor based upon the one she had previously shedded, except without incorporating the Gear Cell into the design. She harvested genetic material from the body of Kliff Undersn, and used that material—combined with some of her own DNA—to create another Sub-Commander Gear. This one, unlike all the others, contained some of Justice herself. So as one might expect, the new Gear was impossibly more powerful than any other—save Justice herself. This, Justice’s ‘daughter,’ also had true free will. She was not merely a Sub-Commander, she was, like Justice, a true Command-Type Gear. Justice named this new creation Dizzy. Dizzy’s first act was an attack on the most heavily defended structure in the world—the United Nations. The sight of the winged Gear shrugging off attacks that would have killed practically anything alive will forever be burned into the minds of those who survived. In that attack, the six Jinki still in the possession of the United Nations were lost. They were scattered across the globe. Thankfully, none of them fell into the hands of the Gear forces... Ky Kiske returned with the Fuuraiken and the Fuuenken that Sol Badguy had left behind. They are absolutely necessary to ensure the survival of mankind. Rebirth of Outrage Ky and Dizzy stood face to face, their glares swords of Justice and Hope. They bowed their heads in battle, and they fought. Lightning flashed in the abandoned amusment park, and that night, Dizzy fell. She revealed her past, how she figured her own free will out, and escaped her 'mother' Justice. He had hid from humanity and Gears alike, a half blood. Ky forgave Dizzy, and they traveled back together. Now, Justice wants Outrage for her self, so she must find Fuurakien an Fuuenken and once again, recreate Outrage to end humans. Jeez, still here? Zepp There are some who believed that Blacktech was not innately harmful. With the outlawing of that technology, those people founded the floating continent of Zepp, the one place in the world where Blacktech is still used. They maintain a mostly friendly relationship with the planet below, yet are not averse to looking out for their own interests. The leaders of Zepp are President Gabriel and his student, the massive warrior Potemkin. Formerly a slave soldier, Potemkin’s incredible strength was instrumental in allowing the group led by Gabriel to overthrow the previous dictatorship of Zepp. Standing with Justice: Potemkin has left, so they need not worry about joining Justice. The Jellyfish Pirates When his father was killed by a Gear when Johnny was a young boy, the child swore that he would take care of any orphans, he would ease the pain of those who suffered. As an adult, Johnny founded the Jellyfish Air Pirates, a rather infamous criminal organization. Yet the label of ‘criminal’ is far too harsh—as Johnny and his crew have rarely been known to kill, and even then only when necessary. Johnny takes care of any female orphans the war has produced... The leader of the Jellyfish is a man who simply goes by the name Johnny. One of the last few masters of Iaijitsu swordfighting, Johnny sees himself as a chivalrous pirate. It has been said that he is a womanizer, yet his loyalty to his crew is unsurpassed. Zato’s right-hand-man is a British assassin by the name of Venom. After Zato disappeared, Venom took over, intending to hold the Syndicate together in Zato’s name no matter what. Standing with Justice: They are supporting and helping Justice The Sacred Order of Holy Knights The most famous of all the factions, they have been the ones on the front line against the Gears since the beginning of the Crusades. The warriors of the Sacred Order have few equals among the ranks of humanity. They are currently led by the French swordsman Ky Kiske. After the fight against Justice, Ky’s injuries should prevent him from fighting himself… but he fights anyway. He is a brilliant commander, charismatic and well-liked. He normally wields the Fuuraiken, but in his current state, he is looking to relinquish it to anyone who he feels is skilled enough to wield it. Standing with Justice: Currently trying to kill Justice Renegade Gears Composed of the Sub-Commanders who went rogue and betrayed Justice (as well as any other Gears that joined them) this group has no affiliation either with humanity or with the forces of Justice. They approached Sol Badguy after the fight with Justice, offering him a chance to join them. Sol reluctantly joined, realizing that they would be able to get him closer to Justice than any of the human factions would. He is their current leader... Standing with Justice: Currently trying to kill Justice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Is it too long that no one else will join? I've had one person sign up, but I just think it's too long. 'When science goes to far, and the wolrd teeters on the edge of distruction, who do we blame? Currently sided with Jusice. Standing with Justice: Currently trying to kill Justice The Assassins' Syndicate As the name indicates, it is a syndicate of assassins. It was founded by Slayer centuries ago, and continues to this day. Its current leaders are Zato-1, and Venom. Zato-1 is a man who traded his sight for the power to control shadows—one of the Forbidden Magics. However, the shadowbeast—named Eddie—threatens to overwhelm his body and to take it for its own.
