having grown up in australia as well, i first got into anime when Akira was shown on free-to-air TV. but after that i had really no access to anime until they started showing the 'kids' anime like DBZ, cardcaptors, sailormoon, zoids and yugioh in the mornings. ive only really been reading manga since an EBgames store came to my home town last year, and i started buying manga and anime. but ive always been an anime person more than a manga person.

if your into illegal street racing, your an idiot, just go to a dragstrip, or something and drag under supervision of people who know what there doing and know what to do if you do something stupid, and also to make sure nowone gets killed.

iv'e always been partial to transformers generation 1, i've watched the transformers movie and own it on dvd, but i havn't been albe to track down the original series in any decent condition, with the transformors: armada thing out now, every thing is happening before the movie, and guess who enters the fray, unicron. every transformer after gen2 i don't really like, though it is really hard to classify whether or not it is anime or not, though it did start in japan.

the reason i like anime is the fact that it gives you a chance to escape reality, and to watch a story that would not be possible to tell in any other media. also i like it in the way that it is a artform the way an animation is put together the ways motion is porteayed, nothing like the crudity of western cartoons.

why do you need proof that australia rocks! it just does! BTW: jet is cool

spirits within was good, the hidden feature on the dvd is better, where the cast do a rendition of micheal jacksons 'beat it'.

star wars is the best, the only thing wrong with them is that with episodes 1,2, and 3, george lucas is going way over the top with CGI, less cgi, more models i say, and no more ja jas, even though when you think about it, without him the bad guys would have won for example in Ep1, on the naboo cruiser when there escaping and all the r2 droids are rushing outside to fix the shield generator, or something, R2d2 bumps into jaja delaying him about 2 seconds, so when,he pops outside a laser blast shoots past where he would have been had he not bumped it jaja. but i still say star wars would be better with no more jajas.

what about Ratman? and when you call it, you can do it it to the batman tune

anyone who can breakdance is a damn champion, i can't do it myself, so anyone who can, like i said before, is a damn champion, especially the guys/girls who compete at the extreme games.

if you are a true friend it shouldn't matter religion, your friend is into, even if they are a devil worshiper or something freaky like that, you shouldn't just abanddon them because of their religious beliefs.

hercule from dragonballz is pretty annoying, always saying and doing stupid things, and acting like a complete jackass.

the best anime movie of all time, AKIRA! and maybe even Ghost in the Shell.

its got to have a good plot line (Akira), its good to have a bit of action, fighting etc (Dragonball,Z,GT) its got to have humor, a bit of comedy, and love all of these make for a great anime.
