And just to clear up a few things. heVn- That's what I was meaning to say and I apologize for speaking for you. Rush: Thank you for the rules. And the idea's do have biblical support and thank you for pointing out my contradiction. And people dont have to conform to those beliefs to be called a Christian.

First off, Christianity itself is not a bad religion at all if you follow the ideas and not the text. Basically The Bible is a staple in Christianity and should be abandoned to see the pure ideas of Jesus and what he tried to get across to us. However too little Christians are this way. Your mother has likely been raised strictly on her beliefs and it will not be easy to persuade her otherwise. She is also likely worried for your safety because according to traditional Christian belief you will go to hell and burn in eternal damnation. I also sympathize with heVn's stance in that you are just 14 and you should try different religions before you come to a stop on one. I would recommend Taoism and possibly different sects of Buddhism like Zen. Also if your mother insists on you going to church do not partake in the activities but as a gift to your mother I would say you should go. Because she held you in her for 9 months, puked half the time, and then, well, you know. It hurt like hell because my sister just had a baby andI was sitting outside the room and I could hear the screams. And don't try Satanism. I did and it's just a childish way of getting back at the founder's Christian parents. But I would suggest quietly believing in what you believe and always respect other people and their religions because that's the only way Peace will ever come. :D Edit: And freely exercise your beliefs just dont advertise them.

Ahh, the joys of Homecoming. Awkwardly sitting in a corner with my fellow outcasts/nerds/otaku's with two 12 packs of Mountain Dew. And listening to horrible rap music. And watching random anime on my laptop! And watching all the people laugh.... I'm going to go cry :( Edit: And no we don't have dates because we have a overpopulation of dumb blonde's and b****y Latin's.
It takes to me to other worlds into other lives..away from the the "world" as we know it. Its like going on vacation without leaving home.
I agree with him because whenever we watch anime we just are transported to a completely different world and a completely different culture and set of customs. And also anime is just so imaginative sometimes. Who would think up something like Totoro in America without having been under the influence? In Japan Miyazaki dreamed up completely different, unique, crazy characters and worlds. Sorry this turned into a praise of Miyazaki.

Case Closed is likely one of the most underrated anime on Adult Swim's lineup. It's kind of like Sherlock Holmes made babies with Lupin and dipped it into a barrel of chibi goodness. :D But it is definitely addicting and I can barely miss an episode anymore. I also saw the first volume of the DVD in a Waldenbooks the other day. It supposedly has an episode that's never been seen. But I heard 'round the grapevine that Adult Swim is showing a larger, undefined amount of episodes on their second run of the 52 episodes(which is happening now) So by the end of these 52 we should have more coming our way. I hope that wasn't confusing.

True Japan Does have much less censorship for their children. For example in Ghibli's Pon Poko the raccoon-like creatures main weapon is the fact that they can inflate their testicles to large sizes. Swearing and violence make a show more mature in a parent's eyes, but in actual plot material it doesn't. And it also depends on your definition of mature. In most of the media's eyes Mature means 16-18+, in some of our definitions of maturity we consider it to have serious plot material, well-developed characters, etc. And my parents let me watch anime even after they walked in on me watching that one episode of Bebop with the Saxophone....... And the first episode of Chobits........

Hahahaha I'm in the middle of Hurricane Charley right now!!! Wish me luck, If I die I'll tell my friends to make a memorial thread!!!

Well I'm looking forward to the Bebop game to see what thats like but I have to say I'm still waiting for a shoot em up Trigun game that was in development a few years ago. I also think Ghost in the Shell would be a great game and it might be similar to Deus Ex. Deus Ex had a cyborg and he had different implants that were used for a variety of things(hacking/thermal vision stuff like that). And that combined with a Metal Gear Solid approach to stealth, and a Shinobi/Ninja Gaiden approach to combat it would be great. Also now that Gungrave is an anime there is a PS2 game....But which came first?
-
Definitely not stupid, infact extremely smart. And also the ultimate pacifist. I think some people don't like it because of his strange comedic actions. Trigun goes to extremes sometimes as well. It just goes from Vash making humourous expressions to thrilling gun battles. I guess some people don't like diversity. ^_^.

Hmmm, to live in an apartment house with attractive college girls??? ^_^ Oh and Heero try "Waltz" instead of "Walts"

I've seen a fair amount of Naru look-alikes at my school but I've seen tons of Duo Maxwell's because his style is easy to imitate. All they have to do now is obtain a large mech. :p

Well if FLCL doesn't amuse you then I doubt that Excel Saga would. I just started reading the maga nad its actually very intelligent at times and also extremely random. Almost like FLCL. And why don't you like Love Hina it's a great series and doesn't have too much slapstick except for the first episode.
