1. The Trigun box set was outrageously expensive, but it is a great collection. I almost wish I had ebayed it.
2. I love to go back and rewatch DBZ, its always good to go back and see some good battles you had forgotten about. I didnt remember how good Goku vs Cell was until I rewatched it, great fight!
3.
Major Tom to ground control i'm stepping through the door...*Sings the song quietly* God i love David Bowie...his music kicks some serious ***....
Exactly, rock on man! :tasty:
4. I also recently picked up the box set of Band of Brothers. I thought Saving Private Ryan was a pretty good movie, but this show was like that times 10. Each episode is absolutely outstanding.
5.
Additionally, there is no illusion that these two aren't competing -- they are certainly competing indirectly, but they are [i]not[/i'] direct competitors. I can't stress that enough. I do not believe that Nintendo will need to drop the DS's price when the PSP comes out, because I think that both systems can exist in two pretty different market segments (with some obvious overlap), in the same way that GBA and DS can exist together without one automatically cannibalizing the other
I am by no means ridiculing you, but I would like to know, how would you classify the different markets that these fall into?
6. People who werent around for the Nintendo times would be people who are coming into the game world in the last 5 years. How much have you heard about Nintendo GC games other then metroid prime, I see almost no adds, and I personally know no one that owns one. Nintendo does however control the handheld market, something I forgot to take into account, tha being said, I think that PSP might outsell the DS.
7.
Revolutionary Girl Utena v. 10: It's probably the single best DVD I have ever seen, and one of the main reasons that Utena is pretty much my favorite anime. In a mere three episodes, the entire show is turned on its head, and is concluded in the most satisfying, heart-wrenching and beautiful manner imaginable.
Thats interesting actually. Ive never heard of this anime before. Can you tell me anymore about it, I assume its quite good.
8.
Manga. I like sometimes reading stuff than actualy seeing it and many of our american translated anime is being cencored down more each and everyday. Manga isnt that bad in the censore. Plus manga is cheaper in some way and still if you dont want to buy it read it at the store
I completely agree with you. The censorship is going over the top now. Half the shows end up being edited and cut out. Some of the best stuff from the Japanese release of the anime ends up being cut out by whatever company translates it. Its ultimately up to the people that watch it, parents need to be in control of their kids, that way there will be no need for censorship.
9. Just when I thought Green Day was dead they responded with another great song. Boulevard of Broken Dreams is an aweosme song, and it totally snuck up on me, I thought those guys were dead.
10. Id like to pose a question to you guys. Who do you think was the best lyricist?
11. Definitely Nintendo, they are pretty much gone now in the US, but they started it all. They brought gaming to the mainstream and made people want to play games.
12. I think the Nintendo DS will fail. Nintendo has fallen of the radar and Sony and M$ have taken over for it. I just dont think that a nintendo product will sell well in America. It has a huge fanbase in Japan too, but not anymore in America. Once Nintendo faded, people moved on and I dont see any reason for them to come back to the DS. I think that if people want a handheld, they will turn to the PSP because Sony is still around and it is a name that people know and are familiar with, especially new gamers that werent here for the Nintendo days.
13. I could not list my top ten wants, but as of right now, I desperately want Inuyasha, I love that show, I watch it reilgously on adult swin. I cant wait for the movie.
14. I actually thought that the Cowboy Bebop DVD is the best investment I have made as far as anime DVD's ever. I really liked it, the story was great and it was an awesome series. As far as other ones, I have: Animatrix Final Fantasy The Spirit Within (I saw it listed before) Gundam wing vols 1 2 3 4 5 6 Hellsing vols 1 2 3 4 Princess Mononoke Ghost in Shell Cowboy Bebop
15. I love the Boulevard of Broken Dreams song. I've heard the American idiot album referred to as a rock opera which is pretty cool.
16. I have all the Soprano's seasons and all of the SiX Feet Under seasons, as well as all the season of The Shield and Nip/Tuck. Plus, my most recent purchase is season 1 of Carnivale. I bought all of these b/c I could go back and watch every episode multiple times and feel good about it.
17. I have a feeling the second season of Carnivale is going to be "can't miss" stuff. If the first season was just character development, as I've heard, and the second is where the actions starts, it should be downright amazaing, IMO.
18.
Hm...the name sounds pretty tight, so maybe I ought to check it out. When does it come on?[/color']
The DVD of the first season for Carnivale came out a couple weeks ago. The new season starts on januray 9th, I believe. I can't wait to see what happens. Ans yes, Band of Brothers, is also a classic...I'm not sure it could have been done any better.
19. No, Arliss isn't on anymore. I wasn't a big fan of that show. I'm more into the dark, smart shows that HBO does like Carnivale, my favorite.

HBO shows

What are people's favorite shows on HBO? Mine is Carnivale, but I also like Sopranos and 6 Feet Under.
21. Did anyone watch the frist season of Carnivale on HBO? It's coming out on DVD tomorrow and the new season is coming out in early January. I loved this show and wondered if anyone else watched it or is looking forward to the new season. Anyone?
22. Tough question. I would like to see a fusion between RPG and FPS. Sounds a little bizarre and not very easy but I think it is on the brink of coming. I know that Bungie intended Halo to be like nad RPG in some way and I think there next project might approach the idea in all seriousness. I just love FPS's but sometimes they can get repetitive so some other way to intereact with the world would be really cool.
23. Xbox: Iron Phoenix Kotor II Prince of Persia Demon Stone PS2: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Racthet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal PC: A new one that can handle Half-life 2 Man, I am totally dreaming...

Yeah GoldenEye on 64 was the best I've played with people because it was easy to pick up. A more strategic game that I really enjoyed was Myth I and II ont he PC. THos egames were a lot of fun. A sleeper pick that I always enjoyed was Super Bomber Man...those were so much fun.
