Yeah, I also saw the sale, there were some good prices it seems. You got an even better deal than me, for some reason my best buy is selling it for $25. Thats a good price break, but its still not what your getting. Anyhow, I will definitely be picking it up this weekend, along with other animes no doubt.

My most frustrating gaming moment had to be the first or second time my ps2, which i play about once a week, started to not play my cd's. i had already been through the mail-it-to-sony ordeal and i ddint want to go through that again, so for about a month or so i was out of ps2. eventually i came to the conclusion that i should trade it in for an xbox, done and done.

I prefer xbox myself. I think it has a better controller which is easier to use and more useful in games. I also think the graphics are better. I had a ps2 and traded it in because i played it about once a week and it still managed to break twice. I think that ps2's arent as durable as they once were. Its to bad too.

Yes exactly, I said the saem thing earlier, the responsibility goes to the parents. When children are young they cannot make choices as well as an older person, and they may not even know the difference between right and wrong. In those cases, the parents must be aware of what their children are watching so they can make a judgement as to whether or not its good.

You got the Trigun box set for 60 on amazon? Wow thats a great deal, I payed 125 for it, while I dont feel cheated at all, it would have been nice to have the price cut

yes Ninja Gaiden, I would highly recommend that, its awesome, the best ninja game imo. ive alo been playing the chronicles of riddick lately, i really like that as well. that game also has snapping necks, shivs, screwdrivers, and the occasional gun-fight, great stuff, i liked the movies though, so it might seem a little out there if you... give it a try, a rent at least.

Yeah, I was also very happy when I heard the news (no victory lap however), I dont think this could ever disappear though, its too popular. Is it on the same time everyday, because I remember turning on the TV one time and not seeing it... freaky stuff :eek:

Oh, ok thanks for clearing it up. Is there any hope of these animes getting classified by the BBFC? Im sure our friends in the UK would greatly appreciate it. :) Also, you said it was illegal for street shops to sell that imported anime. Im going to assume that the same rules apply for a person who plans on selling imported anime to his friends. Thanks

When I lived at home, my parents didnt care, they were suprisingly cool about it. They didnt care for it, but they knew I liked it, so they wouldnt turn it off or anything like that when I was watching it, and occaisionally they would buy me mangas or something for my birthday. I had a good experience :)

yeah i dont like the art design of this game, but it looks like it will be decent, ive noticed that gamespot has very few pictures of actual gameplay, mostly cutscenes and stuff i dont want.....

I dont have any experience with this anime, but I had a question. How is the character diologue, imo the diologue in Candidate for a Goddess was weak, it just seemed like it wasnt well written to me. Does this have the same problem?

Yeah, I think its pretty obvious that there isnt much influence by anime on our actual lives, Im not running around pulling karate moves and such on people like ghost in shell or something. If there is any effect of anime on our minds, it is miniscule and no larger than anything else we watch. I could argue that watching Queer Eye for The Straight Guy makes kids turn gay, its the same kind of thing.

Ive often looked for Inu Yasha on ebay, but when the bidding gets nasty, I have to drop out, there are alot of people who will pay a ridiculous amount of money for the dvd's, more than I am willing to pay.

I also want a ghost in shell game, it would be great imo. When was the trigun game in development, I hadnt heard of that, although it would be really cool. What was it like, a max payne shooter, or was there any stealth at all?

Do you mean privately imported to be sold? Isnt that illegal? Or do you mean just pick up a copy yourself and bring it back, I would think it would be difficult to find someone who imported it and will sell it.

I had always thought that it was Emma, just like phoenix said. I thought the voice was a clear cut piece of evidence to prove that it wasnt Harald.

i think that they will get it right, the other systems were really good and successful and there are only minor improvements that they had to make so i think they can nail this one right on the head.

Thats great news to hear that it is coming out in august, I was expecting something in like November. Ive given up on watching it, Im just reading the mangas right now, its not worth staying up so late, the mangas are better imo...so I read those

Why are you on this board if you are so opposed to anime? I dont think that at all, everyone here can distinguish reality from fantasy.

There were only 12 eps, I thought it was closer to 20 actually, maybe your right though, either way its not a long anime, which is too bad, if they could just make more eps with more plot, action, and character development that would have made an even better series. :)

My favorite death was probably Raditz and Goku (kind of) in dragonball. This was when Goku held him still and Piccolo fired the new attack that he had never used and took out both of them. That was good and set the stage for everything else.
