Midnight, I have relatively the same problem. In my area very few people know of anime, its hard to find people to talk about it with or even places to buy it, right now Im concerned with watching/downloading episodes and reading manga on the internet. Well thats ok if there isnt anyone around us, thats why we have Otaku! :D :cool:

i think some games can have action and storyline, usually i find it being fps's the real life, ww2 games obviously, story is awesome bc its real and the action is always good. one fictional game i really liekd was max payne, its kind of clique story line, but i like it the guys family is dead, and he kills everyone who is responsible (including a few people who arent)

even so, halo id damned fun man, you have to admit that, the multiplayer alone coul dbe its own game in my mind, i do think there is some clouded vision about fps's after that and by the way, i did like xiii, i really did, better single player in my mind than halo actually.

I have also been reading the second manga, I read some of the first, I actually prefer the second, seeing as how it leaves off where the show ended. Does anyone know the release date for the third volume? Im very anxious, but I have yet to see an actual date.

its a popular look though, i dont really care that there are repeats, its funny to see, but hey, tough guys can only look a few ways!

Anime is something you watch from the safety of your own home. Its hard to pick up chicks when the know you used to watch Sailor moon or DBZ or even kenshin. haha, thats true, wouldnt i know :( there are some who like it though (yes!!!) i think regardless if some people think its stupid, if it becomes popular enough, it will go onto the silver screen.

If I could unwish some of my favorite dragonball-ers back to life. Of course that would ruin the story, but it sucked to see some of my favorite fighters die. Oh well, I guess Ill have to find new favorite characters......good bye krillen

It sounds interesting, but I guess like everyone else, I havent seen it. I might check it out. Are they any well known animes that you can compare it to? Is it really good enough to be 3rd on your list, what is infront of it?

i think producers just want to make money. while i would love to see an anime movie or movies, how many people would really see them. it would be for exclusively anime fans. i think producers want to attract non anime fans to see them and they dont think they can. more people that see the movie=more money for them, get it? i dont think they are a gauranteed success for studios, i want movies badly, but i cant see that happening in america, maybe in japan, but its not big enough or mainstream here.......yet :(

I usually like the subtitles, with them, i get the feeling that there was an actaul translation of the japanese words before they were written. I often get the feeling that english veiwers may be missing out on something that oonyl the japanese language speakers can get. However, i thought Princess Mononoke had an allstar cast that did a great job with the dubbing. Billy Bob Thorton rocks, and i thought eveyrone did an awesome job to adapt the story and make it a great movie. :cool:

As to what i think, i think the music that is in anime now fits it perfectly, thats why it is in there. if you change to rock, you lose the soul of the anime, thats not what the creator wanted to be playing for the fight scenes.

She had been with kyle for like 3 games, and then nothing.....wow. i was pissed i played hte whole game straight through after that happened. i like the dubs, with the dubs its actually like the words that were originally said were translated, sometimes i use both and i see that the characters arent saying what the subtitles say they should be. i think someimtes the subtitles are just paraphrasing, which i dont like

this sounds good, action packed anime, i havent heard of it until now, is it anything like what im used to (bebop, trigun, dragonball)? i think ill be checking it out.

yeah im half way through it, ive only had it one day...im assuming the doc oct fight is hard so im giving myself a little time with that, but still, it could and should have been way longer.

id read mangas, its the best story in there, some of the anime has ruined good mangas.. they are just to diferent and the story is lost. its not worth it, its not a real money risk unless you dont research what your buying, if you impulse buy, then you might be unsatisfied, and therefore feel like you wasted your money

i like alot of the guns form trigun, i think they are very unique and its cool to see them in action.

it is honestly, in my opinion nearly impossible to compare them. there are so different. if i had to though, id say halo is better, the little (and i meanlittle) that ive played of metroid i did not really like. and halo, well everyone knows about halo.

i think it would be tough to make a sequel to most good anime. the story is so complex and well written that in the end, everyhting is over, its THE END. there are no cliffhangers, everything is tied up and there is nothing to worry about for a possible sequel. that being said, if there was one, nothing can match trigun, i want to see trigun 2

i recommend trigun. it may be lacking in romance, but there is not shortage of action. this shoul dbe right up your alley... :cool:

i dont know about that release date. ive bene hearing it could be pushed back, and the release date could just be a publicity stunt. ive even heard it wont come out until christmas. :(

i really like princess mononoke myself actually. probably the first anime ive ever seen and still the best. i love the stone arrows that take off guys heads. i also liked hearing the english dub with billy bob thorton in it haha what a role for him! ashitaka is definately my favorite character, who else :cool:

thats true. i didnt even buy vice city. i played it at a friends house and realized it was the same thing as gta 3, just a different setting. what i expect when a new game comes out is evolution, not simply the same game in a different city. gta 3 changed the genre to first person instead of the 2d cut outs that were in ti before. a successful game would be one like that, that can drastically change the way people play, a simple change in scenery will not suffice, even if their are some (but veyr few) inovations.
