I won't reply to the general thread itself, but you guys need to stop hyping all over Mexicans. I am reading this thread page to page, and lots of pages has some bash on Mexican people. . I love how some people consider the Mexicans a "clique". Last time I checked, uhh, they were a race. I'm think we seriously need to leave our southern-border friends alone, you damn closet rasicts.

I dont pick on the geeks and the defenseless. iIpick on the people who pick on the geeks and the defenseless. The geeks are kool I only pick fights with people who talk to much. Geeks is not an insult its a compliment
I don't believe "him". I know the world isn't full of flowers and sausage, but two loaded pistols? C'mon! Plug it in and rawk, man. :animesmil But seriously, plug it in then turn on your amplifier. Learn a few chords from an instructional DVD or book, then play 'til your fingers bleed. If you can read tablature, go to Google and type in "guitar tabs" to learn songs. I would myself, but I'm far too lazzzzzy.

I finally beat Final Fantasy X at 12:10. I was gonna scream and make noise, but I was too busy doing things. So sue me. -
I loved the combat-puzzle intergration. Even simple box pushing puzzles are intense while being sniped by bow-wielding undead. The cut scenes are amazing. They're so vivid and gruesome, full of blood and boobies. :animesmil The difficulty curve is nice and balanced, while the story plays out nicely with some good twists and good character development I think my highest combo was 143. That was fun. Fun as hell.

I almost forgot my Peavy Backstage Chorus 20. Its really nice. 20-watts, 2 channels (high and low gain) , an extra-gain boost, EQ and voicing controls, chorus and spring reverb, and two 8" speakers. You can get some really Pantera-esque overdrive or Marshall distortion. It runs a pretty wide tonal gamut. My dad got it for free from my second cousin. The only downside is that some of the knobs are pretty sensitive, so adjusting the reverb or something will feedback a little. But it's no big deal, just a minor inconvienince.

Whoooeee! Been a long time since I started a thread. Anywho, who else of my fellow OB members are obsessed with guitars like me? Tell your current or dream setup. Include any thing a fellow guitar maniac would enjoy. My setup: Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Standard, cherry sunburst finish, 2 Alnico Classic chrome humbuckers, chrome hardware, or Fender Standard Stratocaster, 3-tone sunburst, white pickguard Amplifier: Vox AD50 50-watt (tube simulator), 12" Vox Original speaker, and a Vox Pathfinder 15-watt practice amp w/ reverb Effect Pedals: Original Crybaby wah-wah, Big Muff Pi Fuzzbox, DigiTech Screamin' Blues Overdrive/Distortion, Danelectro Hashbrowns Flanger and PB&J Delay. I stuck with Vox amps since they have that classic British roar, but can deliver really nice clean tones. The AD50 has great on-board effects, while the Pathfinder can be really loud for 15 watts I wanted the bite of single-coils, so I chose the best in the single coil buisness: the Fender Strat. Say what you will, this guitar can scream thru the Vox, and with the addition of the Screamin' Blues or Big Muff, this thing becomes a monster. As for my Les Paul, what else can I say? Perfect tone, perfect looks, and perfect neck action make it the classic it is. Epiphone really wowed me. My pedals are good too. The Crybaby has been a standard since the '60's, so why not stick with it. The Danelecro pedals were cheap and are worth twice the value I paid. I'm glad I spent 20$ on them both. I bought my Screamin' Blues pedal a few days ago and it really adds alot of gain, harmonics, and sustain to my playing. It also makes some wicked feedback when needed. The Big Muff doesn't work, sadly, but it really fuzzed when it did.
I loooooooove love love the Mars Volta :animesmil :animesmil :animesmil
Francis the Mute...next to Get Behind Me, Satan, is the best rock albums of 2005. As for Avenged Sevenfold...the music sounds so processed its ridiculous. I like music that's sorta rough around the edges. Take all the members of Cream. Eric Clapton has that impeccable guitar tone and Ginger Baker has spot on time, but when the two and the bass player (whose name escapes me), it sounds rough. I know Mars Volta doesn't really fit in this "rough-sound" category, but since the music is so free flowing and spaz-tastic, it makes up for it. Anything by Modest Mouse prior to Good News For People Who Love Bad News, I like.
24. God of War- A tru;y great action game, though not as goood as everyone says. To be honest, I thought the combat was the worst part of the game. It was the puzzles that kept me going. God of War has SOME OF the craziest puzzles ever. I only had 1 death from combat (during the last major battle) and a few buhmillion from falling of edges.
That's really strange. God of War has tons and tons of moves and the combat doesn't really get that repetitive. I thought the fighting was really polished and the animations were silky smooth. What was the reason it didn't interest you? ------------------------ Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: I have about 90+ hours in this game since it was released. Halo, Halo 2: I beat the game with my friend...it should still count. :animesmil The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past: Who hasn't beaten this game? Pokemon Red, Blue, Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed: Allthough I have no interest in the television show or the action figures, etc., the games are really fun. Maybe I'll add more later... -the one and only

In no particular order... 1. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2): Some large story problems and dialouge hinder this game from pretty much stealth nirvana. 2. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2): As of 7/1/05, MGS3 is my 2nd favorite game. 3. Final Fantasy VI/III (SNES): My faorite game. Great characters, story, and gameplay plus tons of customization and good battles make this gamethe greatest game I've played. 4. Final Fantasy X (PS2): Also a few voice over and story problems mess with this game, but aren't as big as MGS2's, so this game is almost as good as FFVI/III 5. Super Mario World (SNES): My god was this game hard, but so much fun. It has infinite replayabilty. 6. Super Mario 64 (N64): 120 stars, suckas! 7. Super Mario Kart (SNES)/ Mario Kart 64 (N64)/ Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (GC): Since their pretty much all the same game with better visuals...I'll include them as the same title. 8. Earthbound (SNES): It took me a YEAR to beat this game. The boy-saves-world set in a modern enviorment really makes this games' story shine. Throw in some cool graphics and great, addictive combat and you got a winner. 9. Silent Hill 2 (PS2): If a game makes you stay out of the dark for a week and a half, you know it was pretty spooky. Lots and lots of good plot twist and some memorable villians are worth the mind wreaking nightmares this game may induce. 10. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2): Wow. I was expecting to be suprised about the size, but the story was just as important. Great character development is the key to this urban epic. I'll add some more later... -the one and only

After reading about this in several magazines, MGS3 is getting a remake. And it won't be a remake like MGS2, with crappy skateboarding extras and whatnot. This is the real deal remake. There are tons of new features. ! : Online multiplayer. This is the biggest thing. How cool is that? You can play either a standard team deathmach or a Snake vs. Mercenaries, kind of like Splinter Cell, where 7 mercenaries will search for one Snake in new levels. ! : Reworked camera. You can play both single and multiplayer with a full 3-D camera, or stick with the just as good top down style. Hideo Kojima, the creator of the MG games, says he and several Japanese gamaes are susceptible to motion sickness when playing ful 3-D games. He wants to play games like Halo or Grand Theft Auto, so MGS3:S camera is his "practice" for these games. ! : More camoflague and face paints are added in the game. I hope you start out with better camo in the beginning. Let's replace that almost useless Olive Drab with something better :animesmil . ! : More of that stupid-yet-completley-compelling Snake vs. Monkey. If I can, I will find the screenshots of Snake facing off against Metal Gear Ape. ! : There is a new "theater" mode where you will see little comedy clips with dialogue involving the characters Things I would want before the release: Maybe a little more modes in multiplayer, like a Snake vs. Monkey where the some players control the monkeys and another player is Snake. Another possibly could be an online co-op mode in the Snake vs. Mercenaries. I wouldn't have two Snakes, but the ability to choose any MGS character you want, even maybe bosses or villians :animestun . -the one and only

How about those Mazda commercials where the guy just yells "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, ye-ye-ye-yeah" the whole time behind the same powerchords, or the Vonage commercial where the lady just sings "Whoo-hoo, whoo-hoo-hoo" the whole time, behind the same powerchords. Jesus people, learn how to write songs! I can't stand that What Is Love song either, unless I'm watching A Night at the Roxburys. Other than that, just stop, please. -the one and only
I would get Office Space. It's like $7.99 on DVD most of the time, although there is a special edition coming out soon. It's probably my favorite comedy ever. It's by the guy responisble for Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill. Otherwise, I'd get This Is Spinal Tap. I could watch it every day, but I guess it's not for everyone.
Damn Shinmaru beating me here to refer Monty Python. ;) I also could reccomend Napoleon Dynamite. Ok, so it doesn't have all the cuss words or political satire or romantic humor or...
horse handjobbing
...but its still funny, and it gets funnier every time I see it. Office Space= best movie ever. This is Spinal Tap= 2nd best movie ever. -the one and only

I like some ska, mainly Less than Jake and Goldfinger, but I think it gets really repetitive after a while. Alot of straight punk rock bands have their little 'ska' songs on a few albums, and they are usually the worst song on the record. I'm not saying ska is bad, it just needs to be a little more varied. -the one and only

Personality: Coming soon... Bio: George grew up in a fairly nice farm house in Pepperland. He was always helping out his father when milking the cows for the jelly, milk, chocolate syrup, and honey. He did very well in school and lived happily with his parents until he was 18. George met Ringo and John and noticed that they had special talents, too, so he lived with them while he went off to be a professional stand up comedian for the royalty of Pepperland. George would hypnotize the king, making the queen's dress turn different colors, et cetera. It was a very sucsessful job. But now, George is the equipment manager for Sgt. Dimitri crouched behind a bush near the side of the Pentagon. He looked for an accsessible window, but didn't find one. He had to get access from the front door or throught the roof, and the doors were locked... Dimitri bounded on top of the roof and had to find a way in. He noticed an air conditioner grate he probably could fit in. The grate came off without any struggle. He jumped into the duct and slid down, crashing through a ventalation shaft. "Ow..." He brushed himself off and looked around. The room was pretty dark, and Dimitri felt for a light switch. He walked until a string brushed his cheek. He pulled it to reveal a small basement-like room, full of old paper, books, and folders. Dimitri might have fallen into the old filing room. Hmm...this won't do any good. It'll take me hours to go through all this. He quietly exited the filing room and entered a long hallway. He heard footsteps. The blood trickled a little bit, letting him form a dagger. Dimitri saw the shadow, and slinked towards it. He sprung from the corner to see...Dave. "God! You scared the hell out of me, Dave!" Dave looked just as shocked. "'orry, mate. Did'nt mean to. Where did you come from?" What Does your sig, avi and username say about you.
Billy Shears replied to shinji172's topic in General Discussion
My username is "Billy Shears", because it is a fictional character from the Beatles concept album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". It is one of my favorite albums, and I'm nutty-coo-coo :animeknow for anything Beatles. I sign all my posts with "-the one and only", because thats how Billy Shears is introduced in Sgt. Pepper. The lyrics:
And may I introduce to you/ The one and only Billy Shears/ And Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band!
My avatar is a small portion of an M.C. Escher picture. I forget the medium used, but the man staring into a glass ball sees things with warped perspective. Since I do those sort of things (I'll blow something way out of proportion to get my way), thats why I like the picture. And my signature...well, its true, mean people do suck. I did myself, because...well the only other person who could have said all that is Ozymandius Jones. Also a big Beatles fan. So she would know all the references. -the one and only -

Dimitri didn't want to respond to Lani. He was too afraid to let two people in on his secret. "Dimitri! Let me in!" "What do you want from me?!" "What's wrong with you?" "Nothing! Leave!" "No, dammit!" He heard her pound on the door. "I said I was concerned, so let me in!" The click of the lock was heard, and Lani slowly pushed open the door. "What is wrong?" Dimitri turned around and sat on his bed. "The song...reminded me of Russia...and..." His voice trailed off and he averted his eyes to the floor. "What? Reminded you of what?" "Dad. He liked that song. We used to dig out the record, and he would always play that one. He would try to sing it in Russian, but the words would be too long." He smiled softly. "Why were you...bleeding?" "I do not know." He knew why. He felt nervous and threatened. He wanted to tell, but he couldn't. He felt ashamed. "What do you mean 'you don't know'" "I do not know, okay?!" "Fine. I'll just leave you here. You can sulk and pout all you want. I tried to seem concerned, but it doesn't work with you. So next time you want to talk, find someone else." She started to head out of the room. "I...am sorry...it is I just...cannot tell anyone." "Well, how come? Why do you have these secrets? How are we supposed to work together?" Dimitri wanted to just explode and tell everyone his curse. "Your tattoo, I know it bleeds and then forms that sword, but why was it bleeding now? What happened, besides you being reminded of your dad?" "I felt threatened, everytime I think of him! My tattoo bleeds when I feel unsafe! I was never safe when I was with him!" He was yelling now, tears gathering in his eyes. "Why do you feel threatened by yor dad?" "He beat me. I would come home...messed up on something...then he would just beat the shit out of me. Even when I wasn't messed up...he would always scream at me." He felt a warm tear fall from his face. "I ran...all the time..." He felt the blood trickle from his tattoo. "I'm...so..." "Do not say it. Please...just go. Let me clear my head...please." "Okay...will you comedownstaris in a while?" "Yes...I am sorry." "I understand." She quietly closed the door, and Dimitri layed on his bed. He fell asleep a few minutes later.
Well, number one, your only 12, what do 12 y/o's do at parties, play candy land? Anyway, I'm kinda confused as to why your trying to so hard. In the story you call these people mean but your still trying to be their friend. If they're ignorant, leave them be and they can be ***** by themselves. .
Most 12 year-olds I know don't play Candyland. And you are talking about others being ignorant. He's not trying too hard. He wants friends, so let him get friends any way he needs to, without somel fool critisizing him. They are mean to you. I bet they know something isn't right, and they know how you tick. They push all your buttons to make a scene, and to make you look like an idiot. It isn't right, but it will happen. I wouldn't be as concerned with the fact that this party didn't happen, but that they don't have your condition on file at your school. This is something to bring to your superintendent.
