What would you do with a Trillion dollars?
Justin replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in General Discussion
Hah, I did say enough to live comfortably, didn't I? I just didn't say what I'd do with that comfort. ;) But, having been called out like that, I suppose I'll give a list of thing that would come with my house and my comfort. Erhm... ...I'm having to think about it...Screw the 5.0...I'd buy a '69 Hemidart and a '67 Shelby GT500. Then I'd race them against each other. Several times. Then I'd buy the 5.0...just because I could. You can include that somewhere between the part where it says "enough money to live comfortably for the rest of my life" and "pay for my college." -Justin -
What would you do with a Trillion dollars?

I'd give half of it to ministorial programs and the growth of Christianity, I'd pay for my college, put my brother through college, buy my parents and house and give them a portion. I'd give my grandparents a portion, I'd set up enough for myself to live comfortably for the rest of my life. Then I'd give the remainder to God again. -Justin -
This is quite possibly one of the best films I've ever seen in my entire existance. If you haven't seen it, you're not cool anymore until you do, lol. I walked into that movie with one perspective on a few issues and walked out with either a completely different pespective on an issue, or an extremely bolstered and beefed up opinion on an issure. Very moving movie. I highly suggest you see it. (Does anyone want to ramble on about this movie like I do?) -Justin

Um, I really haven't found anyone quite like me, really. I don't think I really look like anyone either. *shrugs* Can't win 'em all. -Justin

The Bible actually says there are things he cannot do, if memory serves. Such as: Lie. For, if God told a lie, it would become truth. ;) But this thread is pretty pointless. And, if I'm not mistaken, you've been banned before, slick. -Justin

God Gundam would so take Evangelion Unit 01 to town. Then he'd buy him a T-shirt. Anyway, I looked at the new section this morning before school, I think I'll add my own fan fiction on shortly. I like it. EDIT: I just submitted my fan fic. It's kind of dumb to begin, but the ending is of personal significance to me. -Justin

I agree that signatures should be limited. But I think the limit should be stretched from 8 lines to 10. Just a thought. -Justin

I hate to be the one to bust up a party, but I think this is just a glorified introduction thread. And the part that would make it worth keeping open is extremely cliched. So, welcome to Otaku, but we don't allow for intro threads. Sorry, but welcome all the same. -Justin

Well, if it's flying you want the Navy is actually probably where you'll have a better shot. If it's just something that the Air Force offers that the others don't...well, yeah. I don't know what to tell you, dude. There's no way you could join up for next year's quota? -Justin

I think you should absolutely go to school. Most of those friends probably won't be around for the rest of your life, but your education will. If it's THAT big of an opportunity, you should go to the school.

As big an Auburn fan as I am, I think you should go with UGA. It's a great school. -Justin

Yeah, OL is our debating forum. It doubles as our consolation forum also. -Justin

Liberals or Conservatives: Who is the bigger threat?
Justin replied to Harry's topic in General Discussion
I think it's best to decide what views and values you have before you go aligning yourself with political parties. If this country had been intelligent back in the 1790s and listened to the original GW as he was leaving office, we of course wouldn't have the political party problem. But that's the way things have fallen into place, I guess. -Justin -
I think I'll answer these question from the opposing standpoint. 1.) What thoughts or words come to mind when someone says, "Church" God, worship, fellowship 2.) Give two reasons why you do go to church Because, while i is true that you don't have to go to church to be a Christian(this could be a kick in the side to a few people I know), a real born-again follower of Christ will want to go to church. Because there he/she can not only be in a generally much stronger precense of God that when they are alone, they also get to fellowship with fellow believers. Which to your Christianity is as water is to your health. 3.) What qualities do you think a church needs to be a "good" church? For me personally? A good youth and worship program. Also a church should be educated in more than just the Bible(though, they should know THAT very well). They should also have researched other religions and ways of thinking and should be generally well-learned in the ways of other people. How can you expect to show people that you're right when you can't even show yourself that they're not? -Justin

Anime The Official Dragonball GT Dub Thread.
Justin replied to Jinzouningen17's topic in Otaku Central
FUNi sure does know how to ruin something good. -Justin -
Indeed. It's all a plot by 'the Man'(in cooperation with 'da Man') to bring down the good people of this fair planet. Don't eat the artichokes!!!! Somehow, I'm more inclined to believe there is some other explanation. Maybe she had the oven on and it sparked...or something. -Justin

Have a good trip. :) -Justin

The movie will probably flop with VD in it. I think I'm correct when I say that the only reason thta movie did well is because girls wanted to see Vin, and guys went with the girls. PS: I still love the Charger, though. -Justin
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Are you sure she wasn't on some other type of plant that may have made her hallucinate?
That's the funniest things I've read all day. Exploding artichokes, huh? Well, stuff happens, I guess. -Justin

I don't like abortion when the mother was raped...in fact, I think it's just as wrong. But considering all the things a baby can mean(especially to a 14-year-old), for society's sake I say abortion after rape is at least a very good excuse. However, I get the sense that this one wasn't after a rape...therefore, I think she should at least be responsible for carrying her child. Maybe next time, she'll think twice. -Justin

I must side with gokents on this one. She just sees you as something that might not be attainable anymore. My guess is that she broke up with you last time, am I correct? -Justin
-
I generally try to be as honest as possible. So, unless it was really as serious situation where a lie was gravely important, I would probably tell the truth. -Justin
-
She shouldn't have an abortion anyway. I feel badly for her, but as long as she wasn't raped, she should have to accept responsibility for her mistakes. As for the adoption thing, that's a much better route. Send her my regrets. :( -Justin

Life is only boring when you don't look for something to do. You'll never actually be able to get away from the repetion of daily life, but you may as well enjoy the little things along the way. -Justin
