Actually, that sounds really expensive, lol. However, I do agree that it seems to be a much safer way for law enforcement to take care of business. Safer for the officers and the idiot that it is used on. As for my position on guns...well, here in Alabama we have a law that says if anyone breaks into my house, and I have a way out, I'm supposed to leave my entire family and everything we own and get out....no way. I hate to tell you, but if someone breaks into my house, I know exactly where my dad's guns are and how to use them effectively. Now, I do think that this particular handgun is a little...too big...but some people would want it just to say they have it. So long as they don't hurt anyone, which most wouldn't unless put in a situation where they needed something to defend themselves, I think that's their business and their right. -Justin

Wow...that's a lot of caliber. That would break your arm if you fired it wrong, lol. Anyway, if I'm going to have mechanical power, I prefer it to be under the hood of a car. Preferably, a '69 Chevelle SS 454...or a '69 Hemicharger...or a '71 GTX Six Pack...or a '66 GTO...or '67 Shelby GT 500...or...OK, I'll stop. -Justin

For some reason I always had this feeling you lived somewhere in that area of the country, Deb...don't know why. Anyway, I live in Phenix City, AL...right across the river from Columbus, GA. Which is about an hour and a half or two from Atlanta, GA. And that, my friends, is my sad, sad story. -Justin

I have a few. They come from a compilation of inspirational quotes I'm trying to make. Most are spiritual and original, some are neither. God's love is your only 100% life-time guarantee. Whatsoever God giveth, that also can he taketh. Bullets don't know names and blades don't know faces. Jesus didn't come here to preach to the rich people on TV who wear Rolexes and drive Jaguars...chances are those were once just like you until they met Him. Jesus loves you. A wise man can act like a fool, but a fool can't act like a wise man. If God is the Light in the world, why is it so many are turning Him off? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 Eh heh...as I was reading my original quotes, I became aware of how many of them weren't so much insprirational as they were a theme to a sermon. So, you're not getting the full effect here, lol. -Justin

Mitch: My comment wasn't aimed directly at you, but it was brought on by your statement. However, your post succeeded in making me think, so now I can say I respect whatever view of God you do or don't have. On the subject; I stand by my opinion, which if you'll go back a few pages, you'll find. But I want to say a little more. Because I more or less feel like I'm representing a side here, I want to present my views on discrimination and other things that have been discussed here. You all know the story. According to the Bible, homosexuality is wrong. I stand by that. However, the Bible also says that no man or woman has the right to pass judgement on any other. As I see it, neither should we discriminate against anyone who just so happens to hold a different view. In fact, I believe it's extremely harmful to a person's ministry if they pick and choose who they're willing to minister to. I personally hope I never reach that point of ministorial stagnation. Vegitto4: You no doubt have your opinions, and you're entitled to them. However, I want you to remember while you're posting that you're not alone in your debating. By your actions and words, you're representing an entire side of this debate. I happen to be on that side. I'd be grateful if you'd be more considerate. -Justin
Originally posted by PiroMunkie ... I could pervert that so easily, lol. :p
And if you did, I'd lose even more respect for your maturity than I already have. :) -Justin

My real name is Gizmo...ha...ha...I bet all of you thought my name was something stupid like Justin. Geeze, what's wrong with you idiots... ( ;) ) -Justin

Has anyone ever heard of this band? From what I know of them, they're supposed to be really awesome hardcore, and I want to check them out, but I have no idea where to get the CD. Help/comments, anyone? -Justin

Heh, Shaun, God has different ways of touching different people. Clearly, He touched you through this, and that's great. :) -Justin

I find it utterly amazing how people will turn 'God' into whatever they want him to be. I've seen and read tons of different views on 'God' (all of which are described as being the true god the Bible describes) and each and every one takes the characteristics from the Bible that please them and mix them with characteristics from somewhere else. I'll put it to you like this: I don't know much, but one thing I do know is that the God of the Bible is as He is described in the Bible. No matter how I'd like Him to be, no matter how anyone would like Him to be, He is what He is. Now I'll get to my originally intended point: I don't know much about genetics, but I think it's safe to say that there's as much concrete evidence(if not more) to support my beliefs in the God of the Bible as there is to support that homosexuality is genetic. Take that as you will. NOW, I do have one more thing to present: (Don't you love colons?) I will go as far as to say that different people have different things that they like. Not just sexually speaking, mind you, but generally speaking. Like I may go for girls with blue eyes, but the guy next to me may like brown or green, to put it simply. I think the same very well applies to people with homosexual orientations. Now, if that's genetic somehow, then I'm willing to agree with James. Either way, people are going to have different beliefs. No one can expect to change those beliefs through an online forum. I don't expect my mini-sermon to impact anyone with an opposing opinion, and in that light, everyone should know that getting mad and going on a rant at someone's apparant idiocy probably won't greatly impact them either. Let's try to keep this topic mature as we can, so that more debates such as this one can be had. -Justin

I think that's one of those little conveinences AT made for himself. Piccoro seems kinda like a Swiss Army knife to me.. -Justin

I think that would be called 'imagination' lol. And, uh, yeah...I think most people have that. I personally always imagine myself talking with someone I trust(it beats talking to myself). Though, I'm trying to get out of that habit and actually begin talking to God when He hasn't put anyone else there for me to talk to. -Justin

Well, I have my religious beliefs that I don't need to state again. I disagree with homosexuality, however, the idea that someone I know is gay doesn't bother me. So long as they understand my position and don't infringe upon it, I won't infringe upon theirs. In my experience, most are understanding enough. I'm not turned on by lesbians at all, and I never was--even before I became a Christian. That's just not one of my buttons. Again, I don't have a problem with homosexuals. I try to have respect for the beliefs of everyone, generally. I only ask the same for me. -Justin

Breaking Up: Advice Needed Desperately! (please read)
Justin replied to Lady Macaiodh's topic in General Discussion
Even with my standpoint as a devoted Christian, I see no reason you shouldn't be able to at least start looking at your options. If I were you, I'd try not to egt as involved for a good while, though. As for his lame self: I'd just beat him with a 2X4. -Justin -
*Searches for Jenna's inevitable presense in this topic* Yap, there she is... Incubus really does rock, though. I would probably appreciate them more, but generally bands like Incubus aren't my cup of coffee. For Incubus, though, I make an exception. -Justin

Oh, there's nothing wrong with downloading MP3s at school...it's only illegal. :/ As for this subject; a lot of anime-related sites seem to be blocked by controls such as the one your school has. It sounds stupid, but there are a lot of people who don't distinguish between hentai and anime. -Justin

It's really a sad situation for him. You just have to let hime know how it is, though. -Justin

Well, honestly, smoking is really dumb. I mean, you put something on fire in your mouth and inhale the products of the burning. However, I'm really just the freshly-cleaned pot calling the still-dirty kettle black...or something like that. I used to smoke, so I know exactly what happens the first time someone takes a puff...a burning throat and a horrible after-taste. Why I kept on after that first experience is beyond me. The way I see it, smoking is your choice and your business, but I wouldn't advise any non-smokers to ever start. -Justin

Well, Saddam's sanity left unquestioned, doesn't the US also have weapons of mass-destruction? Granted, the world as a whole shouldn't have to fear whether the States will use their WOMD for terrorism, but it seems kind of odd that we're getting ready to go disarm Saddam when we ourselves own enough nuclear power to destroy the planet many times over. I support a war against Saddam...but only if Bush intends to fight to win. -Justin

I believe in the that Satan is an entity and he has power here on Earth, though limited. So, I think it's highly possible that what people call ghosts are something of his work. As for seeing-is-believing, I think it takes more blind faith to be an Atheist than to believe in God as described in the Bible(if you want to debate about that, you're free to PM me). Therefore, I am never willing to completely dismiss anything, purely because I can't see it. :) -Justin

Do you honestly think our 'first world press' doesn't have it's own leanings? ESPECIALLY considering we're currently boardering on a wartime situation. If you really think that, perhaps you should rethink your views and apply more that hopes and dreams to them. As for that report Liam gave, I'd be willing to go as far as to believe it has it's base in truth. However, people do often exaggerate, even in the modern-day press. -Justin

I'll probably get one when I turn 18. The two things that appeal to me most right now are a Cross and a Maltese Cross. If I were to get the Cross, I'd probably have a caption under it saying something along the lines of 'Jesus loves you' or something. If I got the Maltese Cross, I'd probably have it wreathed in flames with something kick-booty written inside it. -Justin

Wierd yet uniqe things about yourself
Justin replied to SaiyanPrincessX's topic in General Discussion
I'm a devoted Christian with a grudge against religion, I'm one of the few people I know who can distinguish almost any make and model of car simply by the headlights and tailights, I can run off on a tangent about cars and lose about 90% of the population of this planet, I'm a very straight male wearing a pink sparkly bracelet, I have aspirations to both become a minister in the Church of God and manage a custom and chop shop for cars and bikes, and I'm just an oxymoron of a person in general -Justin -
This belongs in another forum, but I don't know which it would go in; being that it's so general. topic closed -Justin

Considering how much money it costs to keep them sustained in prison, I'd have to pull a card up for the death penalty all the way. However, I do think that people should try a little harder to go through all the evidence possible. Hopefully, that would minimize the number of innocents convicted. -Justin
