I would like to express my deepest apologies to James.
Justin replied to a topic in General Discussion
Just your reregistering here is breaking the rules, Ulitmia. All bans are final. Get that through your thick head. Goodbye...I don't want to see you again. -Justin PS: Don't IM me. I don't feel like talking to you anymore. If you do, you will be blocked. -Justin -
Originally posted by BulmaVegeta1 That's not true! I've watched a lot of japanese subtitled versions, and every other word that comes out of Vegeta'a mouth is bast***,fu**,sh**,damn, and plenty of other nasty words. That's what I read at the bottom of the screen, and you can beleive me, or just think I'm full of crap. But it's true. I saw another episode where Vegeta flipped the bird. Pretty funny, though, and I do expect those kinds of things coming from him.;)
Once again I have to say something. Whatever you think you know about the series, I assure Transtic Nerve probably knows more. Also, I do believe he said that some subtitled versions may have that, but not those which are literally translated. Its like FUNi changing some of the dialouge in DBZ. Just for the entertainment of the audience to whom which the series will be shown. -Justin

Why is your topic entitled 'mechas and...' if it is a question aout a Cowboy Bebop Forum? Also, if you want to request a Bebop forum I suggest you do so in the Suggestions Forum. That magical place where Ceaser Justin I reigns all his little threads with tender-lovin' care. But, to answer your question: Bebop has been suggested many times, and one thing many members don't seem to understand is: That a section must be added to the site before one is added to the forums. Adding a whole new section to the site is a lot of work. Topic Closed. -Justin *EDIT* Actually, unless I'm mistaken James said we could begin after reading the thread in the Staff Forum. -Justin *EDIT*

Well, I don't write many fan stories but when I do, I usually try to take something from the enviroment around me to come up with names. :) Also, I'm moving this topic to Stories/Poetry. It seems better suited for that forum. -Justin

Me and my g/f are having a little trouble here lately. Thankfully, I will be able to spend Valintine's Day with her. But, I'm not sure what I can do if things don't pick up after that. I just get the feeling that she might not feel the same way she used to about me. -Justin

I got mine taken off about 3 years ago. I still wear my retainer at night or when I'm at home. -Justin
Originally posted by James I agree with you, and I would say that the US welfare system is famous the world over for being pretty shabby. But in some ways, it proves that welfare systems can work if designed properly. Australia has the most successful welfare network out of any country on Earth -- and sure, there are still homeless people and what not, but the proportion of those people per head of population is far lower than most other developed nations. It's really a question of Governments having the strength to actually make fundamental changes to the system...or perhaps, overcoming laziness to make changes.
I think part of the problem is just the mentality that many Americans have. Not to bash my own country, but we do tend to be quite lazy steriotypically. For instance: In the area of Physical Education US students are among the world's lowest in overall performance and overall score on the Physical Fitness Test. Granted, that has nothing to do with the US Welfare System, but it just demonstrates the laziness of American society. While there are those who need help, many people would rather live off the sweat of everyone else's brow as opposed to actually contributing to the greater good. I can't have any respect for someone who drives a $60,000 dollar vehicle and lives off Welfare. I simply can't. I don't know what the government could ever do to be completely fair about this subject because people will always find a way to take advantage of it. -Justin

Well, I have to say I love the new design, as well as some of the new staff members.(lol) James, you really topped all the older versions with this one. -Justin

Although, it would be understandable if he wasn't dead, the story would seem cheapened to me if he came back. -Justin

I might be just a little late but I would like to comment on James' post here.
Originally posted by James I understand what you're saying, but remember that the United States has welfare systems which can assist people who choose to be assisted.
I have to agree with BabyGirl. Many people hate the US welfare system.
In some countries, there is no real functioning Government, let alone a welfare network. And so, it is reasonable that rich countries like the USA would want to be morally responsible for poorer nations.
This is true, we should be considerate of those in other countries who need help. But, in my opinion, not at the expense of our people. But, I suppose no government can ever be completely perfect. Sad to say: there is no Utopia.
Having said that, I agree that not enough is being done to combat local poverty.
That I definately agree with. But, that just goes back to my last comment: There's just no such thing a perfect government.
The amount of homeless people in Melbourne is slowly growing -- which is fairly shocking, as Melbourne has never really had homeless people at all. It's worrying because of the fact that it seems the state government isn't dealing with the problem in any way.
Well, in Atlanta(the city originally mentioned in this topic) there are many homeless people. Now, I know for a fact that Georgia(me living right across a river from it)does very little to aid its homeless. Sure, the politicians talk about it, but I've never actually witnessed anything done. So, watch out; Or Melbourne might end up like Atlanta.
However, I do know that there are systems in place to help homeless people. The question is, why are many of these people not seeking help?
Well, in my knowledge of the US welfare system(which is limited), it can be harder for certain people to get help. The rest, just don't want it. Why: I don't know.
So yeah, I see what you're saying...but I think that there are other factors involved. The USA isn't too concerned about keeping face I think, based on some of the country's international policies. And I wouldn't say that the USA is "feeding its enemies" as such -- it is very often the regimes which are enemies, and not the people who are unfortunate enough to live under such regimes.
A perfect example of this is the Taliban. It was our enemy, not the Afgan people themselves. That is why we spend money to aid them. Unfortunatly, a lot of that aid wound up in the hands of the enemy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I agree with both you, James, and BabyGirl; I do like to see topics like this one pop up occasionally. A break from the normal madness is always nice. I wish I had had more to say for this one. -Justin
Originally posted by Nerdsy Bah, just my luck somebody talks about SEEL,the one thing about V2 that I have very little knowledge about. I'll tell you what I know... SEEL wasn't a war, but a few people came and "hacked" (and I use the term lightly) onto the boards... I am under the impression that it was mainly Gendo and Shinji. I don't exactly know, so no one flame, kay? So, they "hacked", deleted Safer, Adam, H-Bomb, James, and a whole buch of minor people. So, VEGGETTO(sp?) (AKA Mike) tricked Gendo into making him a mod, and deleted Gendo. He made KAMAKAZI (Justin) an Admin, and they gave control of the boards back to Adam and James. They moved Otaku to V2, and here we are! The worst part of SEEL was that I lost my mod position... Oh, and the deletion of posts, member registration dates, and a lot of useless Otaku info I could have memorized.
Sorry to pick on you again, Nerdsy but i feel I must correct you. Firstly, it was ONLY Gendo and Shinji. Secondly, they never actually deleted anyone but Ulitmia and Adam(if memory serves). Third, 'twas I who initially tricked Gendo. He made both me and Mike administrators. Mike deleted Gendo then he had to leave. I deleted Shinji and kept the act going with Gendo and Shinji that it was all Mike's doing and that I was still on their side. I went through and deleted a few names. Of which they either knew the passwords to(ex. TN), or had decided to join them(ex. Will2x). I then closed registration and created an announcement on the front page to let everyone know that the boards had been taken back from Gendo and Shinji. Then, when I was sure it was safe I posted a topic letting everyone know that I would be returning them to Adam and James. Then, good ole' kuji-wuji IMed me and set up a buddy hat between him, myself, and James. I deleted James(upon his request) and opened registration long enough for him to register under a new alias. Then, I made him an admin again. He removed my powers as admin and made me a moderator for a few hours so I could help clean up a bit. Then, we made the move to vBB. And that...is the rest of the story... PS: I really don't mean to be flaming you, Nerdsy. Just laying down the facts. -Justin
Originally posted by Nerdsy Justin, I was referring to the V2 War that Altron was in. In V1, I believe it is called the GF Invasion. Bah...'war', 'invasion' its all the same in my book. Also, wasn't the boards called Pokecheats? Nope, it was Absolute Gameboy. Umm... I doubt it was thimoc, because he had two accounts, and he once said he got most of his post count during a two month period in Januery...I also doubt it was thimoc. Now that I think about it, it may have been Dragon or Frank.
I think that has been posted before. Though, the author of the post claimed credit for having written it. Though it is true, you must understand that, you are in love, it is a tolerable evil. -Justin
Originally posted by Nerdsy 1. Who became a mod as a result of the aforementioned thread? I think it Safer Sephiroth. 2. Name 2 of the names Altron Gundam used during the Recca War. Well, to be specific, Altron participated in two 'wars'...the GF War and its sequel the Recca War. So if you count them as one then Altron Gundam and SSj4 Gokou. If not then SSj4 Gokou and Recca Hanibishi. 3. Name 1 of the two old "Clans" that died out during V2. The Dragon Klan. There was the Shadow Guild, Z Fighters and about 15 other I don't remember. 4. Name the "clan" that nearly everyone in Dragonball was a member of. That might be too vague... Okay, it's two letters, and Foredaddy used to have it in his name. Z Fighters. 5. What did I mod during the later part of V2? (Sorry, I just can't resist tooting my own horn) Pokemon

Originally posted by Cloud 1. Um...I don't know! 3.when did this forum first open (i remember) Ah! 4.before we had a General Discussion forum, which forum did we generally talk in? You must be kidding... 5.What was my old name? 1. All the past admins I can remember that were legitimate were Hbomb, Shinji, Safer Sephiroth, & Justin(not me). I was an admin for a short time along with VEGGETO(aka Mike) and Gendo. That's a different story, however. 2. AGB or the OtakuBoards Supplement. 3. Angel_Saturn_Healer. Now for mine: 1. Who was the first member ever to reach 1000 posts? 2. Name two former moderators of General Discussion. 3. Name 3 'wars'. 4. Did you answer any of these questions without using Nerdy's siggy? -Justin

James just gave me a new idea... As for what I'm going to do; I'm going to take my girlfriend shopping, out to dinner, and now give her a teddy bear scented with my cologne V-Day Weekend. But, that probably won't help you much. I don't really know what she is going to get me. Now that I think of it, I realise I haven't given any thought to it before. -Justin
Originally posted by Ice Dragon v2 Post ur butt off.
No. That is not the way. You upgrade to new ranks by posting more, yes. But, unless you want to piss people off I suggest you post sensibly and coherantly. As for the question at hand: Advertising other sites anywhere but signature is against the rules here. So if you want to find some other forum I suggest you use a search engine. And if you don't like it here...leave. -Justin *EDIT*
Originally posted by Zora Hey, I love it here. I would never want to leave. 1. You should have just PMed a mod/supermod/admin and asked this. 2. You should read the rules. That is why they are at the top of this page. 3. To answer your question: People abused the privilege so it was discontinued. -Justin

You're assuming that everyone is Christian? Well, if I were to ask a higher power of any kind one question to be answered it would be something along the lines of: "What is my purpose on this Earth?" I'd at least try to make mine more meaningful than 'When will we meet aliens?' -Justin *EDIT*
Originally posted by Final_Flash "God, What is your favourite kind of sock?"
