1. Haha, I think Christmas is my favorite time of year because of our traditions! My family usually decorates the tree sometime during the week before x-mas day, and we always, always put on x-mas music while we work. It would actually probably feel too strange not to have Amy Grant or Anne Murray singing Silent Night and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. It wouldn't feel Christmasy, although, Christmasy is a difficult feeling to manage anyway in southern California with no snow and 70 degree weather in December o_0 Oh, and my mom makes cookies too! There these little jam filled ones sprinkled with powdered sugar, and they are really good. I look forward to those even more than presents! Then on Christmas day, we've almost always had relatives over, usually my aunt and uncle and my grandparents. We listen to more music, eat, drink, and just generally be merry ^_^ It's fun, and reminds me of how much I love my family.
2. Pretty cool idea, I must say. Here goes nothing... He loves me not? She clutched the crimson rose tightly in one hand. The note read, I?m sorry. ?He loves me, he loves me not?? Petals dropped to the kitchen floor. ?You fool. You let him in again.? Tighter, now. Thorns pierced flesh. A bare stem, a bloody palm; beauty marred by grief again. Sorry wasn't good enough anymore.
3. Well, I don't own very many dvds, but of the ones that I do own, I probably re-watch Fruits Basket and Azumanga Daioh the most. Hehe, they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside ^_^ But seriously, whenever I'm down or need a good laugh, I just pop in one of those dvds and within an episode or two, my mood has done a complete 180. Lol, to me Furuba and Azumanga are like chocolate, they just make you feel good about life. And honestly, if Yukari sensei doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what will!
4. Hehe, yeah, screen shots don't like being reduced in size... ^_^;; I really like each of them, but I think I'm gonna use Freude's banner. It's very clean and the border and effects really make it pop. Plus, the font is so pretty, and readable, which is always a good thing! (I hope that was an okay review for you! And thanks for adding my name to the banner ^_^) Thank you both very much! ~AR
5. Since I have no idea how to do this myself, I was hoping that someone could make me a banner with the attached picture, and add the words 'Let's stay together...Always' to it. Oh, maybe you could use one of those cursive-but-still-readable fonts. I'd very much appreciate it! :toothy:
6. Hehe, I spend a lot of time in my pajamas too! Old Navy has great pajama pants...Anyway, I guess I have a pretty plain style. I'm a firm believer in the 'jeans go with anything' theory, so for me it's pretty much always jeans and some kind of top (there's more variation in those, lol) and a jacket if it's cold. And I do love my Vans shoes, they're so comfy. Yay shoes! I'll hang out with pretty much anyone, prep, goth, or otherwise, as long as they're a nice person. My friends all have different styles. Haha, we're a mixed bunch I guess!
7. Hmmm, a dream job eh? Well, I think being a fantasy novelist would be totally awesome. Using your creativity to invent whole new worlds and races of people, animals, etc. would be so fun and interesting. You can write about pretty much anything in a book. Plus, I love being able to escape into a really great novel, so writing them for others to do the same would feel pretty good, I think. Although, the idea of having to meet deadlines and stuff is not that appealing. You can't rush the creative process after all, ^_~. Aside from that, any job that would let me travel all over the world would be great!
8. Hehe, that is a truly entertaining story! I was laughing so hard! For some reason though, my favorite part is still: "Use the Force." "What? Use the Force?" "No, damnit," Shy scolded. "I said, use my horse!" If I'd been drinking milk at the time, I'm sure it would've shot right out of my nose! That business with kuja, dang, that was crazy. He made a great Postless Banner though ^_~. Great job DW. I too, am looking forward to your X-Mas animation! I'm sure it'll be awesome, although, How the James Stole Christmas is gonna be hard to beat, hehe.
9. Yes I saw Paul Hamm the other night! It was unbelievable!
To make that huge mistake on vault and slip to 12th place and come back with a stellar high bar and parallel bar performance was just absolutely incredible!
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!
He really deserved the gold!
I did feel a little bad for the Chinese gymnast who has always come in second and really wanted to take the gold, although I can't remember his name at the moment... Swimming has just been awesome as well. The men's 200m relay where
Klete Keller (I think that's how you spell it) beat out Ian Thorpe (the Thorpedo, lol, what a great nickname!) by literally half a finger length was the most exciting thing I've seen in a long time!
The women's 200m relay was great too, but the
American women had a really strong lead the whole time,
so it wasn't quite as edge-of-your-seat cool as the men's event. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the women's all around in gymnastics tonight! It'll be fun to see who wins...
10. I love stand up comedy! It's not the ultimate art form by any means, but it is good for a laugh. My favorite comedians would have to be Nick Swardson, Dane Cook, Lewis Black (Lewis is just awesome. Smart, funny commentary on life...it doesn't get any better!) Stephen Lynch (best singing comedian) and of course, Jim Gaffigan. He does some of my favorite jokes ever! Especially the ones about manatees, that's just priceless stuff. Yes, Comedy Central is my hero, because it has brought so many great stand-ups into my life, lol.
11. I have never cosplayed myself, but I absolutely love seeing other people dress up! Some of the pictures I've seen are just incredible. Some make you want to say "Oh my god that is horrible!" and others "Wow that person looks really cool!" The most awful cosplay I've EVER seen was a Comic Con. A large, VERY HAIRY man was dressed up like Faye from Cowboy Bebop! I simply could not believe how bad he looked in short shorts and a tiny weeny top. ::shudders:: I think there should be a law against hairy men dressing as Faye or any equally scantily clad characters! Anyway, if I ever did cosplay I think I would want to go as Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew (because her battle outfit is just so cute!) Cheza from Wolf's Rain (Cheza is simply awesome, and wearing red contacts would kick butt!) or Yukino from Kare Kano (it would be a very easy costume!) Hee hee, however, this is a big IF. I'd rather watch other people look silly :p
12. The Killers are pretty cool, I have to say. I too heard their song 'Somebody Told Me' on MTV and I really, really liked it! So after sampling more of their cd on Amazon.com I went out and bought it. It kicks butt, in my opinion. What's cool about the Killers is that they don't sound like a lot of the mainstream stuff you hear these days. Most of the songs on the cd are really catchy and upbeat, with awesome rythms and interesting lyrics to boot. It's kind of an odd mix of 80's music and rock, but it makes for an entertaining combination. 'Jenny was a Friend of Mine' and ' Mr. Brightside' are my favorite songs, although all of them are worth listening to. ^_^
13.
Whoo! Commercials! I absolutely love the new Dairy Queen commercial for the brownie batter blizzard where the guy is sitting in the DQ and says " I wemember it qwite vivwidly. It was about a monf ago and my wife was baking bwownies..." and then gets his tongue stuck in the beater! Heh heh heh, it just cracks me up! I enjoy the Geico commercials too, that gecko is pretty awesome, especially when he's doing the robot ^_^ -Azure
14. I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to make me a Wolf's Rain banner? I would like it to be of Cheza (see attached picture) with my username on it somewhere. Other than that do whatever you think would look best! ^_^ p.s. If the picture I attached doesn't fit the banner or something, you can use another. I don't mind ^_^
