Nayomi still felt slightly light headed, the wound on her back still oozing slightly as they trekked slowly through the snow towards the outskirts of town. "Since we've dealt with the problem, if nothing seems out of the usual, we'll contact HQ and have them evacuate us. Understood." "Shouldn't we-" Nayomi shook her head and let out a hum of argument as Victor tried to argue. "Not today. Those...things...took more out of us then they should have I think. If the town seems normal we head home and recover." Chiron put his hand on his chin in thought. "Is it, that your fight took more out of you then you care to admit Wolf?" Nayomi let out a low growl. "Look, in case you haven't noticed I'm still bleeding from a gaping wound on my back where that thing tore into me. I have probably another good hour or so before I'm pretty much useless. So, lets find out what we can and get the hell out of here. Got it?" This time they all gave her a confirmation as they crested the last hill to look down at the town, and Nay felt her heart sink. It looked normal, the little houses lit up and looking cozy, the small flurries that had begun to fall making it look like a lazy Christmas town in a snow glob. Dassem let out a small noise of what sounded like regret. "Looks normal to me." She nodded slowly, her fur slowly standing on end. "Yeah...I don't like it." Chiron frowned. "I thought this is what you wanted so we could return home Wolf." She shook her head and sighed. "Yeah, normal would mean that these people would be aware that something, anything, is out there. Killing their live stock or something like that. Normal would mean some kind of protective measure to keep dangers out of a sleepy little town like this...but...there's nothing. No sign of awareness that they live in the wilderness, among bears and wolves...nothing to keep the dangers of the night from entering into the town, into their homes. Normal is far from what I see." Victor crossed his arms and frowned. "But what if they don't know about those things we took care of? Wouldn't that make some sort of sense?" "Yes and no. It makes sense that they wouldn't know what they are, but to not know that a danger like that lurks just beyond this hill makes no sense what so ever. Hunters or travelers or something must have either caught a glimpse of them, or a the remains of one of their kills. It makes no sense that they're completely oblivious to something like that." Chiron nodded slowly. "I can see the logic in that, but tell me. What if Victor is right and they really have no idea what's going on?" Nayomi shook her head with a small growl. "Something is telling me that's not the case." She sighed and sat back on her haunches, her ears pinned back as she surveyed the town, she was ready to let it go and have them go home when something caught her eye. Two grown men were hauling something from the town, she caught the scent of blood and felt a chill run through her. She could see the red stain seeping through the bottom of the canvas they were hauling between them. The smell was musty and a few hours old, but it was gamey and wild. "Why are they hauling a dead bear out of town instead of into it for meat?" The others followed her gaze, Victor frowning as he tried to make sense of her words. "What do you mean Wolf?" Dassem chimed in, his voice thick with tension now. "Two men are hauling a dead animal out of town instead of into it." This made Victor's frown deepen. "That doesn't seem proper." Nayomi nodded and watched as the two men crested the hill on the far side and threw the carcass over, watching as it rolled down and stopped in a snow covered heap at the bottom. What happened then made Nayomi sick to her stomach. Out of the tree line more of the creatures they had just worked so hard to dispose of flocked to the kill, ripping and tearing away at the flesh of the best, She could see the men still watching in a form of fascination before turning and leaving. Nayomi sighed and shook her head. "Guess we know who planted the first bear...these people are feeding them...but...why?" She took a deep breath through her nose and let out a hack which she deafened in the powder below her feet, her teams eyes all on her now. Dassem kneeling next to her as she tried to get fresh air back into her lungs. "Wolf, what's that all about?" Nayomi had never smelt anything as putrid as this, it was almost like death it self, dark and hazy, musty and foul. She swallowed mouthfuls of the snow to try and rid her self of it but it was no good. It was as if the smell had fused it's self to her taste buds and nostrils. She began to feel whines escaping her and cut them off. She looked up, her eyes watering as she tried to locate the source of the smell and when she found it, she felt her blood run cold. The man was fearsome looking, his black eyes and swallow skin making him look no better then the creatures feasting not to far from them. She tried her best to concentrate tried to read the lips of the men who walked back to him triumphantly, wiping their hands free of the bear's blood and scent. The sickly man smiled, his black tinted teeth looking like daggers in his mouth and then, as if knowing she was looking his head shifted and his eyes locked with her's. She felt frozen as he glared at her, his pale skin and hair seeming to melt into each other. She didn't know how long they stayed like that til she felt a rough shake on her shoulder. Shaking her head she looked around and noticed Chiron and Dassem looking at her worriedly, Dassem speaking first. "You alright Wolf? You seemed to go into shock there for a moment. It was as if you were under some kind of spell..." Chiron nodded as Victor frowned yet again. "Was something distracting you Wolf?" Nayomi took a deep breath, relieved to know it was free of the smell and taste yet again. "The man that the other two met at the bottom of the hill, he looked almost like those things..." Dassem frowned now, his confusion clear on his face. "Nayomi, I think that blood loss has gotten to you, there was no man there. They walked back into the village and into their homes. Nothing else happened." Nayomi blink and shook her head. "I know what I saw...that man...he looked evil. He had beady black eyes and his hair was almost as white as the snow we're standing in. It had a yellow tint to it though like he was lacking nutrition or something though...and his teeth...he smiled and his teeth all looked like fangs that were rotting in his mouth...There's no way you two wouldn't have seen him...He was impossibly tall..." She looked from Chiron to Dassem only to notice the other man had gone pale in the face. As if Dassem had seen a ghost. She was about to ask what was wrong with a loud chime broke them from what ever trance they were in. The large church in the middle of the town was tolling it's bell, and as each toll fell across the town the little houses, one by one, became dark as the lazy town shut down. "Awfully early for lightly out don't you think?" Nayomi nodded at Chiron's words. "I say we check it out while everyone stays inside." They all nodded and slowly they made their way into the town. It was quiet, the hills surrounding it shielding it from the winds of the wilderness around them. Nayomi had changed back into her human self so as not to cause any chaos in the chance of being seen. The streets were dark and Nayomi frowned as the only light came from the church in the middle, the wide double door to the entrance were open and inviting. Almost a beacon for lost travelers or towns folk. Nayomi felt the hair on the back of her neck prickle and shook her head. "I don't like this. Feels like a set up..." Dassem nodded as Chiron added with a hint of a sarcastic tone. "Then I would assume that it would be Wolf." She shot him a look over her shoulder and slowly made her way up the stairs and peered in. It was empty, the lights left on and the church abandoned, which in its self was strange, A church this size always had a clergyman on standby. Her slight frown deepened as she looked deeper into the church, the center was not that of norm worship, but of the man she had seen. He was just as ugly and frightening in stone as he was in blood and bone. His skeleton like frame embodied in the middle of the church gave her chills she couldn't shake, and worse yet his right arm and hand were crafted to look like a deep curved claw, his mouth was agape in a silent battle cry exposing the pointed teeth she knew she had seen. His sunken beady eyes shone even in stone, she knew this man was evil, and she had a gut feeling it wouldn't be the last time she would see him. She regarded the statue stiffly, committing every detail to memory, she would have Sketch, a young artist who did mug shots at the base, draw him again when she got back. The statue had one difference to it then the man had. The statue's face was full and healthy giving the man a regal, almost handsome; if not creepy; look to him in stone. The man she had seen earlier had looked sick and dying, as if a few days with no food or water would do him in. She felt a nagging sensation in the back of her mind, as if the man was known to her, yet unfamiliar all at once. She looked back at the others and noticed they were simply waiting for her to finish her inspection as if nothing was out of the norm. "Please tell me you see this..." Dassem shrugged as Chiron crossed his arms. "It looks to be a regular church Wolf. I think you've lost to much blood. We should get you back to base." Nayomi let out a small growl. "You mean to tell me, Chiron, Dassem, neither of you see the statue in the middle of the church..." Dassem looked at her in confusion as Chiron shook his head. "What statue Wolf? I seriously think you've lost to much blood. I think your hallucinating." Nayomi shook her head fiercely. "Why is it your acting like you don't see that man I told you about, carved in stone, standing in the middle of the church! For gods sake his arm is carved into the most wicked claw I have ever seen. And your telling me you don't see that?" Once again Dassem showed a mild sign of stress, and this time Naymoi didn't miss it. "And you mean to tell me that every time I mention him, or something about him, that fearful look in your eyes, the way your skin turns a shade paler is nothing?" Dassem composed him self just as quickly as he had let him self slip. "Your seeing things Nay, we need to get you back. Chiron, call for extraction so we can get her to the healers and back to 100%" Chiron nodded and did just that as Nayomi took one last glance into the church only to have her blood run cold as the man embodied in statue was standing below it, a cruel smile twisting his features as their eyes locked. Her voice frozen in her throat as she watched him lift a thin hand and wave slowly, wistfully at her until a blue mist covered her vision and she found her self back at base. She barely let the healers do their job as she shoved and pushed her way through the masses til she broke through and rushed down the hall, the others left behind. Finding the man she was looking for she caught him in his office. "Sketch. Ralph..I need a favor...can you do a sketch for me as I describe it to you?" The red haired man blinked in surprise. His brown eyes meeting her blue ones. "Nayomi, what's going on?" She shook her head. "Can you or not?" "Of course I can but what's this about?" She sat down in the chair across from him and put her face in her hands. "I think I'm losing my mind. I saw a man on the mission...and in the town's church there was a statue of this man...but I was the only one who could see it. Dassem and Chiron either honestly didn't see what I saw or they were playing a cruel joke on me..." Ralph shook his head as she leaned on his desk. "Nayomi, are you sure-" "Please Ralph. Just draw what I tell you..." The man nodded, and with out another word from him set about drawing the man Nayomi described to him. After nearly an hour she pulled the sheet of paper out from under his pencil and frowned. It was exactly as she recalled him. "Perfect, thanks Ralph, I owe you one." He shook his head and leaned back in his chair. "Where have I heard that one before?" She didn't answer as she folded the paper and made her way hastily towards Dassem's room, paging Chiron and Victor on her way there. This man was a part of something, a piece in a larger puzzle, she could feel it, she knew it. She wanted to know what, and why her gut was telling her she, and no doubt many more, were some how involved.

Okay, after the family visit and a headache that's still raging I'm gonna get down what I can and see if we can get the ball rollin again.

Nayomi huffed, baring her fangs in frustration. "This is pointless. We can't sit here this whole time we have a job to do. The town is in danger and the longer we sit here the more chances of them getting put in the line of attack increases." Dassem crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at his leader turned wolf. "You say that like it's so easy to just fight a horde of flesh eating brick walls." "I know it's not, but we have to think of something. I mean we're out here in 3 feet of snow and everyone is acting...wait a minute...Victor, can you sense them?" "Not entirely. They do not feel as if they have souls." Nayomi nodded slowly as she sat on her haunches to think. "Dassem, if you and Victor work together so much you two must be able to understand each other better then most right?" "I suppose. Where are you going with this Nay?" She let loose a wolfish grin. "Think about it. We're in 3 feet of snow, this is Voctor's element. If Chiron could get you two where the pack is you can give Victor directions, or coordinates or what ever moon speak you two share and he can either put a barrier around them like he did us, or he can freeze them all in blocks of ice." Chiron tapped his chin thoughtfully. "It could work, but it's risky, what of the scout they send out?" Nayomi growled slightly. "I'll handle that." With only nods of the head Chiron took them out from under the barrier and Nayomi lept into action, her nose taking in the rotting scent of the creatures, catching the scent of one that veered away from the others. Following it quickly she found that in almost no time she had come face to face with the beast. It's straight squared teeth were stained red, it's body was rittled with scars and chucks of flesh missing. She felt the wolf cringe in fear, felt the fur on her back raise on it's own as her hackles grew in volume. The passive nature of the creature so far telling her it was the scout, she let out a barking growl and saw as it turned slowly in her direction, it's wide, seemingly sightless eyes locked on her and with a hiss it moved. Nayomi felt her growls die in her throat as it charged at her, the speed was something she was ready for. They had seemed so slow and sluggish before but this...this was unnaturally fast. It took far more to keep up with the creature then she thought. Feeling it's thin strong hands latch onto the fur on he shoulder she whipped her head around and sank her teeth into the junction between it's shoulder and neck. Tasting it's rotten blood Nayomi gagged and stumbled away from it, the wolf hacking as it tried to rid it's mouth of the taste. She didn't have much time before it was on her once again, this time sinking it's own teeth into her shoulder. Letting out a shrill yelp Nayomi cast out a large paw and swiped the creature from her. Smelling her own blood she didn't dare look at the damage it did for fear of taking her eyes off it. But seeing it chew, then swallow thickly, seeing the blood coating it's face and jaw made her pretty sure a chunk was gone from her shoulder now. Growling she took the first step on the attack this time and charged. Ducking low she caught it's left leg in her strong jaws and bit down as hard as she could, snapping it's leg, the ripping it clean off. Black blood coated the snow as it fought for balance before attaining it. Nayomi could only growl in frustration as it moved again, it's speed cut in half, but no less impressive. Once again the thin strong hands latched onto her, once again she felt it's teeth sink into her flesh, this time on her back, and she panicked slightly feeling how close the thing had been to her spine. Shaking it harshly she reached around and grabbed hold of it by it's middle. Her teeth sinking into it's midsection, slicing gashes deep enough to kill anything normal. Yanking the beast from her she stumbled slightly feeling light headed from the loss of blood, 2 bites from the thing is all it had taken to make her dizzy, the bites causing the blood to flow freely from her body. She growled and waited, patiently for it to charge again. As it did she reared up on her back paws, her left front paw coming down and slamming into the top of the creature's head, it hit the frozen earth hard and Nayomi gave it no time to recover, she was upon it instantly, her teeth ripping and shredding the thing til it looked as it if had been hacked apart by a mad man. Panting she sat back on her haunches and assessed her own damage. She could see the bone of her shoulder and her back was almost as bad. Any deeper and she was sure it would have pierced her lung. Taking as deep a breath as she could she stood and began to walk slowly towards the others. Hoping they had had a better time then she had with the monsters.

Hoping to get this back on track with in the next day or so. Kinda lost my train of thought with a few things going on here and there it's been kinda hectic. But hopefully this can get rolling again and we can keep moving.

Etna followed slowly at first, looking over her shoulder every now and then to make sure Jin wasn't trying to follow...not that he could. She has watched in silence as Heru tore away at him, hearing what little she did about the past she could tell he deserved it. So lost in he own thoughts she didn't realize Heru had been talking to her; blinking she looked up at his back. "Huh? I'm sorry Heru, I didn't hear you..." "Apparently. I said, what in the hells did you think you were doing? You realize you could have been killed back there?" She narrowed her eyes and placed a delicate hand on her him as she glared at him. "Your one to talk mister. What would have done if I hadn't come along?" "I'd have handled it." "Oh I could see how well you were handling it Herutama...and it wasn't well." He turned, his mouth open to retort but she heard it die in his throat as she threw her arms around his waist and buried her face in his chest effectively hugging him. "I was scared...I was so scared something had happened to you Heru. I'm just glad your alright. You are alright aren't you?" She felt him nod slowly and sighed. "Good...I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you." "Uh..." She blinked and pulled away swiftly, stepping around him she walked ahead with her face down cast. "You know, you and Kurama are the only friends I have. If I lost either of you it'd really suck." She could feel her cheeks burn as she heard him follow behind her, his footsteps sluggish like her's, the spent energy of the fight making them weary. "We should probably get back. Who know what Kurama did to keep the human busy." She took a deep breath and halted for a moment looking over her shoulder at him, giving him a small warm smile she waited for him to catch up to her before placing her hand on his shoulder. "I'm glad your alright Heru." Anue rushed around the crowded area, her smile large as she looked from one stand to another; looking back at Kurama she giggled slightly at the sight of him carrying a large stuffed blue wolf. "I should name it Heru. See what he says." "He'd kill you. You know that?" Anue giggled again before gasping and grabbing onto Kurama's arm pulling him to a cotton candy stand. "Please?" "Don't you think your hyped enough without sugar?" She stuck out her bottom lip slightly and nodded, a small pout on her face and just before the half demon could cave he saw her eyes light up once again; her small hand wrapped around his upper arm as she drug him away from the stand over to a line in front of a rollercoaster. "Can we ride this one Kurama? I've never been on one before." "Are you sure? It's kinda scary for a first timer." She looked back at him, bouncing slightly on her toes with excitement. "Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease?" He held up his hand with a smile and shook his head in defeat. "Alright alright. But we'll take the express lane, c'mon." "Express?" "You really think I'd come to a place like this just to wait in line?" He flourished a small pass to the lady by the carriages who nodded and let them take whatever seat on the ride they wanted. "What was that?" "It's like a VIP kind of thing. I can get on the ride first, as many times as I want." "That's awesome." She beamed a large smile and him and blinked as the restraint came down over her hand latching her into the ride tightly. "Hold on Anue." She felt her stomach drop a few moments later as the ride began, her scream soon turning into a squeal of delight as the wind rushed past her face and through her hair. Her hand found Kurama's and clutched it tightly. "Best. Day. Ever!" All to soon they were pulling back into the ride station, the excited chatter of the passengers echoing in the enclosure. "Can we do it again?" "Wouldn't you rather try another one?" Her eyes lit up once more as she clutched the stuffed animal to her chest. "There are more? Like that?" "Some are better, some are worse." "I wanna ride them all!" Before Kurama could say anything else she raced from the station in search of her next thrill. "Whoa whoa!...and she's gone...great." Putting his hands in his pockets he followed a leisurely pace.

Nayomi stretched and arched her back grunting as it popped in various places, sighing as tension released she looked at the clock on the wall and grinned the door opened and the guys filed in one at a time a few moments after each other. "Right on time fella, as always." She noted right away that all three of them seemed somber, Victor was pale, his white eyes aimed at the ground, unmoving; Chiron looked grim, his face set in a tense scowl as he took looked at the floor. His face set in a thoughtful almost pained expression and Dassem...he looked the most troubled of all. His face set in a scowl as well only his was lost, aged and unfocused as he opted for looking straight ahead to give the impression he was listening but Nay could tell he was far within his own thoughts counting on her or one of the others to get the details and fill him in later. She put the nail of her right thumb in her mouth and bit down on the tip worrying it slightly as she looked at her men. She was worried for them, the last mission seemed to do more damaged then she first thought. She looked over her shoulder at Hale and opened her mouth to ask for another night of rest and felt her heart sink as he shook his head. "Alright Beta. Attention to me. The details of this mission are grim and are rather scarce I'm afraid." Nayomi looked out of the corner of her eye towards the three men, all three now wore the same expression Dassem did, feigning their attention only to be lost in their thoughts. Shaking her head she listen closely. "These creatures are a top threat to the towns that are in that area, they are destroying the wild life and are slowly making their way to the towns and towards humans. Your objective is to put a stop to them at all costs. They are rumored to have no pain threshold, they are also rumored to be very resilient. Your to attack them to your fullest and put an end to them. For the time being we are calling them Corpses until we can identify them. The intelligence we've gathered in the short amount of time shows us some rather disturbing qualities about them. Their numbers used to rank in the hundreds...but as they hunted their numbers dwindled." A small plasma screen lowered slowly from the ceiling and Nayomi's eyes locked onto it, the pale figure on the screen shuffling forward almost lifelessly, the river below it's feet splashed and roiled angerly as if it knew some unholy creature was in it's waters. The scene shifted to that of a small pack of the beings, closing in slowly on a large brown bear who stood on it's hind legs defending it's meal, the closest being stumbled back as the bear swiped it paw and took half of it's head with it, falling to the ground it still writhed around as it trying to get up and continue the hunt. The others moved quickly now, sprinting forward and lunging onto the bear biting where they could. The faint sound of flesh ripping could be heard over the small screen and Nayomi turned her head, her face hiding in Chiron's shoulder til the noise ended. She looked up an felt her stomach twist as the remains of the bear were scattered everywhere, blood soaking the ground and covering the beings as they closed in on their struggling comrade, the next thing Nayomi saw made her want to vomit. All at once the standing beings lunged and fell upon the fallen, the noise made her cringe and cover her ears, even with the volume turned down Nayomi could hear it, almost the same as tearing metal, she frowned as limbs could be seen flying this way and that, fingers and an arm flew at the screen and at that moment it went to fuzz. "These things are violent and show no mercy. You must be cautious and stay together. Your mission starts now. God speed and good luck Beta. May the ancestors be with you." Naymoi found her self frowning at his words. The higher ups in the base had been getting grim lately and she was hoping she wasn't the only one to sense it. It made little sense to her and she noticed they all acted as if some huge calamity was about to strike. Sighing she led the way to the departing bay where Smoke was waiting for them, she nodded with a shy smile and crossed her arms over her chest. The thin grey smoke filled the area, the smell changing slowly from the confined bay to a clean crisp scent that had Nayomi's eyes drifting shut in bliss. The hair on the back of her neck and her arms standing on end; a shiver of enjoyment went through her and she could feel the need...the want to run away then. Shaking her self physically she closed her eyes and gathered her self. Opening her eyes she looked up and saw Chiron looking at her questioningly. Shaking her head she looked around and felt her self relax as the green trees shadowed them, the smell of pine and fresh snow almost causing her eyes to drift closed again til the copper scent of blood cut through. She frowned and phased to the wolf noiselessly, a low growl bubbled in her chest, her voice soft as she spoke. "That way, the smell of blood is so strong I'm shocked none of you can smell it..." They all nodded and as one began to move slowly through the thick woods, Nayomi took point, her sense of smell leading them, Victor and Chiron were in the middle reaching out with power and senses as well for anything odd, Dassem brought up the rear making sure they weren't being flanked as they slowly made their way towards the river, the smell getting stronger almost with few feet they moved.

Etna Screamed as she unsheathed her gold katana and swung, the blade coming to life with her green flame in an instant as she swung at Jin, the fire cauterizing the gash instantly as he roared in pain. She twisted in mid air and landed with her left knee on the grass next to Heru. "Are you alright Herutama?" He looked down at her with a huff and back at Jin. "I'm in for a good lecture after this aren't I?" He nodded once before launching into an attack, Etna following a second later, she weaved between the Balor's attacks, lashing out with her blade, she matched her attacks with Heru's, flinching as she heard the wolf growl as the Balor's sword grazed his shoulder. She smelt the blood from his wound and growled in frustration. "Can we really do this on our own?" "If we time it right...yes. We can. And I plan on ending this bastard here and now. I won't let him leave here alive." Etna nodded and took a deep breath, her eyes closing in concentration as she summoned the maximum amount of her hell fire she could manage, her skin felt hot and she grit her teeth as pain radiated through her arm. Heru looked towards her, his ears pinned back. "What are you doing? Trying to kill your self? You've never brought that much out at once." She nodded, looking at him and meeting his eyes, her's were glowing a bright yellow as she gave him a wicked smile, sprinting forward she passed Heru swiftly, her katana wreathed in her green flames, charging Jin she dropped down into the grass and slid between Jin's legs, her katana slashing out to the left and right severing tendons in his legs. The screech that followed made Heru cringe, the wolf quickly changed his action and lunged forward, his jaws locking around the wrist of the hand that held the evil looking whip, with a gut wrenching sound Etna watched as he swung his body in an arch, his teeth acting like a razor saw as he severed the hand completely, he dropped to the ground and lunged forward yet again and Etna frowned as the massive beast moved faster than she expected. "Heru watch out!" Dashing forward she connected her shoulder with his knocking him on his back as Jin's sword hand came down slamming into her, with a grunt she rolled a few times in the grass; she could feel blood fill her mouth as her bottom lip split, she held in the scream she felt surging forward as she continued to roll til she finally came to a stop. Grunting she got to her feet and watched as Heru fought the beast, pushing her self to her feet she began slowly til she was sprinting back towards the fight, her blade glowing green again as she sprinted forward, dipping low she lept at Jin her body lifting in to the air til she could look him in the eye and with a wicked smile she slashed her katana across his eyes and smiled as he wailed, his hand coming up to his eyes. "You stupid bitch! You've blinded me!" She laughed lightly. "That's the plan." She landed lightly and pooled her green fire in to her palm, with the last bit of energy she had left she launched the large blast at Jin's chest watching as he toppled over onto his back with a crash.

Alright guys, for the next few days feel free to post here and there and once you guys have all posted or what not feel free to move us on into Canada. I'll be looking in but a couple family members are having surgery tomorrow and the day following, and it's kind of a big deal so I'll be playing support for a few of the other family members, therefore I'll be absent from posting for a few days. Sorry for the hold up but hopefully once this all passes I can get back in the saddle and get us moving.

Nayomi flipped her phone shut and looked up at the few people she was sitting with, she sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Blast it all...Go ahead and finish up what you were telling me Clyde." The man nodded from across the table and her with a small smile. "The team getting to you?" "No you are, I was in the middle of training when you barged in and demanded that I meet with you and Jen. What's going on?" He nodded again, the young woman on his right placing her hand on his shoulder. "As I'm pretty sure you've heard we're being sent to the East Asian base?" "Yeah, rumors fly around pretty quick, everyone knows of our promotions to Alpha and Beta. So what's up?" "Did Hale tell you anything about it?" "Just that things were pretty tense that way, why?" "Tense is putting it lightly. Apparently they think the Hale has bribed the high council to give him the rosters before any other base and allow him to choose the strongest operatives." "But that's not how it works...they may get the rosters but we apply for which base we want to be at after get graduate from the academy." "For those of us that go yes, but what about the ones we find? The strays that are raised in the bases?" She tapped her chin thoughtfully for a moment. "I still don't get it. Where did the idea of this come from?" "Who knows, The Northern and Eastern Asia HDF bases have always seemed to be on edge around each other." "So why tel me?" "Cause I have a feeling you guys are gonna have to come bail us out. But besides that we're being sent on a double mission." "That's insane, they're not even giving you time to rest?" "Apparently they feel we'll be able to negotiate with the EA base with no issue and be able to move on to the second mission with no hiccups." "Sounds a bit far fetched to me..." Clyde nodded and put his hand on the woman's as she squeezed it lightly. "Jen has a bad feeling about this one and I do too." "I can understand that...I don't exactly have a great feeling about the one we got either..." "What did you get?" "Something strange going on up in Canada." Jen's eyes grew wide and she began to move her hands furiously, her fingers snapping as she motioned to Nayomi and then her hands began to move again, faster if possible. "Jen says that she's heard her father talking about that one from time to time. He's not all that thrilled with it, Said the reports he's been getting have been more and more dismal by the day...says last report that came in...game wardens found...a grizzly? A full grown grizzly bear..." Clyde caught Jen's hands as she continued to sign and held them still as his own eyes grew slightly wide. "Your sure Jen?" The woman nodded, her face a shade paler than it should have been. "What'd she say?" "The game wardens found a full grown grizzly up that way torn to pieces." "What like ripped open?" Jen shook her head, her hands moving again, Clyde speaking the words for her. "No, as in...pieces...entrails, head, limbs...nothing was near anything else it should have been with..." "Like the bear it self was mauled?" Jen nodded, her eyes closing as she finished her gruesome description. Nayomi nodded and sighed. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks Jen, Clyde. You guys be careful on your next mission." Clyde stood and shook her hand before pulling her in for a rib crushing hug. "You too Nay. Take care of that team of yours." "Same to you. Jen thanks again for the heads up." She watched as Clyde put his arm around the Commandant's daughter and kissed the top of her head the flashed Nayomi a wide grin. "Being the son in law of the Commandant has it's perks neh?" He let out a gruff chuckle as the woman elbowed him in the ribs, her brilliant green eyes catching Nayomi's before she smiled and nodded allowing Nayomi to leave. She was concerned for her friend and his wife, more so since Jen's powers limited her from speaking when she could...being able to produce high pitched sonic booms from her vocal chords was tough to control. Sighing she made her way through the halls til her nose picked up the scent of the med ward, walking in she spotted Stitch and hailed him. "Hey, how did it go with Vic?" "Taylor took care of him, but the boy you brought in from your last mission...he's unique." "Go on." She followed the man as he led her through the ward to a clear glass window that looked into the room that held the boy. Nayomi looked in to see the boy sitting in a hunched position against the wall, his knees tucked to his chest. "He's scared Stitch, get him out of there." "We can't do that Nayomi...I'm sorry." "What's going on? You said he's unique what did you mean by that exactly?" Nayomi looked back at the boy and gasped as her vision was flooded with images, she could smell pines from a forest and feel the cold bite of snow against her skin. She took a deep breath and sighed as she closed her eyes before opening them again to find she was still in the med ward. "What was that?" "He make people see what ever he wants. What did he show you?" "A forest in the winter. I could smell the pine trees and even feel the snow as it fell. That's incredible." "Yes, he can over write your sensory systems and make you feel, smell, see what ever he wants you too. We've never seen anyone this young with an ability as powerful as his." She nodded and sighed. "He's terrified Stitch. Let me take him home with me. He's around the same age as Alm, I'm sure they'd get along just fine." The man shook his head sadly. "We have to keep him for observation. We need to make sure that the demon's power has leaked from him entirely and that he's not being influenced by it in anyway. I'm sorry." Nayomi growled before planting her hands on her hips. "Tell that to him! He's the one whose locked up by the very people who were supposed to save him. Apologize to him!" Gritting her teeth she willed her self to calm down before she followed Stitch away from the window, her eyes lingering on the boy as she did. "How is Alm's training going?" "His physical training is going well, his other training he is excelling in." "That's good news. How far has he come along?" "He managed to reset a couple of broken ribs the other day with no mishap. So fairly well I would say. Another year and I think he should be more then ready to join the rest of here in the med ward." Nayomi nodded. "Good, as long as he never sees the field like me and Jack." "He'll see his fair share of things Nay." "Yeah but he'll be safer here. Where all he'll have to do is patch people up. And I know you guys are gonna need him considering Scalpel got reassigned to The Flat." Stitch nodded and led her to the door. "Any thing else Nay? How's your shoulder?" She waved him off and rotated her almost healed shoulder. "Just fine." He leaned forward and looked at it closely. "The wolf takes good care of you." She rolled her eyes and turned walking away as she waved at him, walking through the halls she let her mind wander from this to that, she was worried about Clyde and his new Alpha team and she was worried about her own team as well. She pinched her nose and rapped gently on Victor's door smiling as his sister poked her head through the door. Her abilities always getting a rise out of Nayomi, she chuckled and raised her hand in greeting. "Hey Bec, wanted to check on your brother and see how he's-" "Fine, no thanks to you." Nayomi sighed, it was always the same with her. "I didn't ask him to get hurt you know, I told him to get somewhere safe. It's not my fault we were pitted against an evil demon woman who wanted nothing more then to suck out our souls. Literally." Victor's sister frowned up at her and huffed. "He's resting." She finished phasing through the door and stood in front of Nayomi now, her arms crossed, still clearly upset at the condition her brother had come home in. "I heard you have another mission tomorrow." Nayomi nodded and leaned on the far wall across from the younger woman. "That we do. I hear it's gonna be a doozy too." "Will he come back like this again?" "I'll do my best to keep it from happening. From what I've been hearing I would rather do this on my own and not risk the others at all. But I know the big wigs won't go for it. But I promise. I'll make sure to keep him alive." "Dassem already gave me that promise." Nayomi nodded, she had a feeling Dassem and Vic were closer then most people thought. "Alright...I promise I won't get him killed. If it's me or him I'll choose me and let him live. Deal?" A sigh was all that was heard from the woman as she turned to go back to her living area. "He's all I have. Your their team leader. You need to take care of them." With that Nayomi watched as the girl phased back through the door, tapping the wall next to the door she sighed and pressed her forehead to it knowing they couldn't hear her. "I'll make sure to take care of them...all 3 of them this time...no foul ups." Walking away she felt as if she had a million other things to do and not enough time to do it in. She still needed to swing by Chiron and Dassem's to make sure they were both alright and fit for the next mission. She jumped as her phone range, her brother's number flashing on the screen. "Yo Jack, what do you need big brother?" "Are you gonna make it home tonight or are you gonna be roaming the base all night?" "Most likely with the way things are going right now? Roaming why?" "Wondering if I needed to pull something out for you to cook or go and get something from the mess hall." "Mess hall would be the wise choice. brother." She heard him chuckle and let out a defeated sigh. "Mess hall it is." With a shake of her head she hung up her phone and knocked lightly on Dassem's door, she looked up at him as he opened it and could instantly smell the whiskey on his breath though she could clearly see he was far from drunk. "Rough day?" He remained quiet and she held up her hands before looking him over, her sense of smell picking up on a few scratches he needed to tend to. "Have you been to see the healers yet?" "I don't have enough injur-" "Dassem, I've heard bad things about the next trip. Have you seen them or not." He shook his head. "Alright, do me a favor before we leave and go see them to make sure your fully fit for the next run. I have a feeling we're gonna need to be at 100%" He nodded and closed his door as she walked away. She couldn't tell how long she had been walking but it had led her to the roof of the building and as she looked out towards the coming dawn she took a deep breath and let it out, the voice behind he making her jump. "Had a feeling I'd find you here." She shook her head and slid over allowing for the person to sit next to her. "Leo, good to see you as always. What have to good spirits been saying this time?" The man shook his head, his pale blue hair swaying as he did so, she looked over and saw his bangs covering her face. "Don't hold out on me." "It's all been a jumble to be honest. But something does seem to be in the works. Just stay on your toes for a while Nay." She nodded, her gaze shifting to the rising sun as he leaned back on his hands. His skin was pale and he had almost an other wordly glow to him as the pink rays of light hit his face. "It must be hard, to hear the voices of the dead that have yet to move on." He shook his head, his face solemn now as he took looked into the sunrise. "No...none of them move on...they stay hereto watch over the next generation. Not a single one of them has found peace..." He rose from his spot and left her, her frown a sad one as she thought of all the operatives that had died over the years never finding solace or peace. She sighed and lay down on the roof, her eyes drifting shut as sleep finally took her. She woke with a start, her skin feeling hot as sweat coated her skin, she'd slept the day away, looking at her phone she let out a sting of curses and lept from her spot sprinting towards the edge where she jumped, the wind from the fall feeling good on her skin as she closed her eyes and let the feeling take her. She landed softly on the balcony a few floors down and strode inside, no one there to see her stunt she jogged from the large room and down the hall. Slipping into her quarters she grabbed a quick shower before gearing up herself and making her way down the hall towards the briefing room. The doors opened and she sighed as she took notice she was the first one there. Taking a seat at the long table in the room she reached over and took the pot of coffee made for them and poured some into a Styrofoam cup, taking a ginger sip she looked up as the door slid open, the Commandant walking, his face was pasty and dark circles could be seen under his eyes. "Rough day?" He nodded and took a seat pouring a cup him self as they waited for the others to arrive and get more details on their mission.

Thank you Kayin...I appreciate the support. Now back on subject of the RP. We're headed into a 'wild' part of Canada quite a few miles away from a couple of towns. Our enemy for this mission have no names to begin with, we eventually wind up calling them 'Husks'. They are flesh eaters and have pretty much consumed much of the wild life in that area and are slowly making their way towards humans. There aren't a ton of these things, possibly 20 max, but what makes them so dangerous is how hard they are to take down. They feel no pain and know no fear of injury. Some will have chunks missing from them from fights with some of the wild life; kind of a small idea at how durable they are. The only way to kill them is to either rip them to shreds to the point they can not function, or destroy their heads/brains as it were. Sounds easy? Not so much, not only are these guys durable they are surprisingly fast when hunting, able to leap at least 5 feet and sprint 100 yards in a couple blinks and traveling in packs. When they are NOT in hunt mode they make pretty easy targets but as soon as one dies it will alert them, and they instantly switch modes and it's a fight to the finish. We'll also be finding some intel on this mission that I'll go in to more detail of a little later, first we have to deal with our main objective.
-
Well in all honesty I'd rather know now so I can make up for the lack of posts if you are bailing. But to anyone else confused, I know it's not much now as I'm still trying to get a lot of my thoughts together, a couple of you know why and what's got me somewhat sidetracked. I'm trying to concentrate on this as much as I possibly can at the moment with a lot of life stuff going on and piling up back to back. But as I think I stated before I put this up, if any of you have a suggestion or ideas for missions feel free to suggest them here, and if I didn't I just did. That way I'm not running into ruts left an right since my mind has been jumbled up the last few weeks.
-
Never said it was, your just jumping to the conclusion that that's what it's gonna be. But like I said. If you want to bail, feel free. But if you are bailing I'd prefer you tell me now.
-
Well, I did kinda give a small hint on where it came from with the Commandant's 'informant' also I explain a little more in my last post. If you'll just be a little patient and wait for the pieces to fall into place it'll make more sense. But if you wanna bail feel free. I'm not gonna keep you if you don't want to play it out.

Nayomi sighed lightly as she entered the war room only to see Hale stand at the front of the table waiting for them. "Blayze, good to see you on time as usual. There's been a change in plans." Nayomi frowned and crossed her arms over her chest. "What do you mean, whose taking this mission then?" "You have been promoted to Beta team, Charlie is taking over Alpha and heading to East Asia to try and ease the situation there, the current Foxtrot and Echo teams are taking the positions of Charlie and Beta.." Nayomi turned and looked as she heard shuffling coming from down the hall. "Vic, good timing." She walked over and linked her arms through his leading him into the room and over to a chair, once he was seated she turned back to Hale. "So what are we doing if we're not going south?" "You'll be heading North into Canada. There have been sightings of unknown creatures in that area who are threatening the nearby residents. Your mission is to go and investigate. Engage if necessary and report back." "Do we have any information on these creatures?" "They enjoy the dark so you'll be leaving tomorrow night via transportation agent. Fog should be able to get you there safely." "Is there anything else Hale?" "Yes. You'll be in the wilderness, make sure to keep an eye on one another to keep each other safe. It is untamed in this area and who knows what you'll run into. This area is said to be a breeding ground for all types of creatures and monsters. Be sharp and do not let your guard down." She nodded, looking up as Dassem entered the room, his eye brow rising slightly at the sight of the Commandant. "You a little late Dassem, I told you not to let Becca keep you to long." The man in question looked about the faces of his teammates before letting them settle on Nayomi. "We've been reassigned. We're going to Canada to investigate a monster sighting in the area. There are no details according to Hale." Dassem once again looked at the Commandant. "I find that hard to believe." Nayomi nodded as she crossed her arms and shifted her weight so she was leaning on the table. "Yeah, join the club." Hale pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Your enemies have been said to be pale humanoid looking creatures that apparently feel no pain and know no fear. At first the sightings weren't enough for us to investigate but as of late there have been reports of sightings at least 3 times a week. Enough for us to take notice. There is no room for argument for this mission. You leave tomorrow night, take this time to rest, gather anything you need and gear up." Nayomi frowned and let a small growl rumble low in her throat. "Easy for you to say, you don't have a team that's injured and worse for wear!" She clenched her fists in anger as the Commandant shook his head slowly. "This is not up for discussion Blayze. You will be going and those are your orders." With that he walked from the room Nayomi followed him out into the hall, making sure to close the door behind her. "Sir, about the information you gave me earlier. Did it come from the man who was in your office? And I'd like to speak with you about it a little more. It's still hard to believe and I'm exactly how to react." "I'll call you to my office after you return from this mission and give you more detail about it. As of right now it's not something I think you should worry about. The information was docile to begin with. But I thought I would share with you the origins of your power so to say." She nodded slowly, her frown still in place. "But why now? I mean...why tell me if it's not relevant to anything?" "I'm sure it will eventually be relevant. But as of now. I'm sorry to say I know nothing more til my informant does." "The man in your office?" He nodded and placed his hand on her shoulder. "When I know something more Blayze, I'll be sure to call you and tell you as well." She placed her hand on her hip and sighed. "But sir...how did you know?" "My informant has been keeping track of the Egyptian gods that remained on this place in peace in case they ever decided to get out of hand again. The HDf took care of them once many years ago, since allowed them to take on human lives and live peacefully we are responsible for their actions. You seem rather calm about all this." She sighed and waved him off. "As I said...I'm not sure how to react to all this. And now your telling me that we've been reassigned...none of it makes sense Hale." "I am sorry Nayomi. I can't tell you anymore then that about the reassignment. But I give you my word, if and when I find out more information on the news I gave you, you will be the first to know." She nodded slowly, her head beginning to pound slightly from the stress of everything. "I'm honestly shocked you believe me so easily." "My powers are nothing like either of my brothers, but just because I'm so calm about this doesn't mean I believe you. It'll take a lot more then what I have to convince me." Hale nodded slowly. "Even though you had the mage check your soul?" She growled low in her throat making him put his hands up. "I meant no harm Blayze, just curious." "I suppose I'm so calm because of the fact that no matter who my parents are I know who my family is. But I do have one question for you Hale. Are there others...like me?" "All around you. Most of them are kept confidential. The young boy from the Russian base, he is one as well. He is the son of Maat. Is this shocking to you?" She nodded slowly, then shook her head. "He is a prodigy, he mastered his powers of sand manipulation before he was at the age of 10. So no, I'm not so surprised." "What if I told you there is another in this base who is also a child of one of the gods turned human?" "Who?" You know her, she is in the newly appointed Alpha team. Sara." "The telepathic? I never would have guessed." "Of course not. The gods who had children turned human and lived a normal human life span before they returned to their plane. Your not any more powerful or dangerous then anyone else on your team." She nodded again, but looked up at him as he cleared his throat. "I did not tell you for you to stress over it Nayomi. I was being respectful by allowing you to know. Do not dwell on it any more then you have. It makes you no different then you when I told you." "I still don't understand why? Why did this information come to you, to me, now?" "My informant is much like the rest of his family, they come and go as they please. Very mysterious the Demos family is. No one can tie them down and no one can ever ask them to be timely with their information. I am sorry to throw this on you." "Is there something your not telling me Commandant?" He sighed and walked over to her placing his hands on her shoulders. "Some people who know of the children of the gods fear that they will try to use their offspring to come back to this plane and try to rule the planet as Set tried to do years ago. Others of us are hesitant to believe that. If that were the case they would have tried to do so much earlier. So just let it go for now Nayomi until I hear more on the subject won't you?" She nodded slowly and put her hands in her pockets. Sighing she turned and returned to her team and pressed her fingertips to her forehead. "Alright guys, you heard the man. Vic you should go to one of the healers and see if they can move your healing along a little more. We should get what we need together and get some rest." Dassem stood, his face showing that something was on his mind. "You got something to say Dass?" He nodded slowly. "It's been bothering me since we got back. How is it that you took down Barkin and Asari so easily? We all know the ranking system. The team leads all fight for their rank and order in which they choose their teams. Since we were Delta I think it's safe to say that you lost...yet you took Alpha and Beta down without an issue at all. How is that? And what was that all about?" Nayomi sighed, her eyes closing slowly as she noticed Chiron and Victor focusing on her now as well. "Your right Dassem. That is how the ranking goes. And your also right that it would make sense that since we were Delta that I should have lost that fight. I would like to tell you that I did lose, that I just read their moves that easily...but I'd be lying to you. I didn't lose that fight, actually I won it. I was able to read the leads of all 3 teams ahead of us. Alpha, Beta and Charlie all lost to me. My size, seed and weight over powered them easily. I chose my team first, I had read all of your files carefully, making sure we could all work together. Making sure we would look after one another and that our powers and personalities wouldn't clash. I was right in picking you 3. And the information I was discussing with the Commandant is classified." They all nodded accepting her answer on her conversation with the Commandant but Victor frowned and griped his chin in thought. "But if that be the case, how is it we have been in Delta all these years? Is Delta not the lowest ranking mission team in the base? We're only a step above the 2 training teams of Foxtrot and Echo." "It was an order from the Commandant, the top ranking team was to be placed as the lowest ranking team. Time Gazer, our seer, apparently told him that he would be losing Alpha and Beta. Therefore he decided to make his best team his last. That would be us." Sighing she shook her head. "Alright, you have your answers. Let's get some rest. Dassem make sure Vic is taken to Stitch to see if anything can be done. After that make sure you both get rest." They gave affirmatives as she walked away, this time she headed to the training room. Her mind a jumbled mess of thoughts.

Name: Allura (Aka Gamble) Age: 28 Appearance: See attachment Equipment: She carries a leather pouch that has her own unique weapon that she forged her self with in it. The pouch hides a deck of poker cards that are made of thin steel and sharpened to razor edges along the whole of the card. Even though made of steel these cards look like the real things, the deck containing all of the suites and all the numbers, kings, queens and jacks as well. Skills: She is well adept at throw weapons, having uncanny aim with her cards but it a pinch she is also well trained in hand to hand though she prefers kick boxing to actual hand to hand fighting. Snippet: Allura sat at a small table on her own, she enjoyed the quiet and the solitude most of the time; her face set in the same stern expression as usual she tilted her chin upward as the intercom above her head sounded off. It called for her and a few others, no doubt to go and put an end to something haven gotten out of hand by one of the Four Horsemen. Sighing she pushed away from the table and walked out of the cafeteria, her hands sliding into her jeans pocket as she moved seemingly on auto pilot. Her boots made no noise as she walked the hall at her own pace, a few men and women rushing around her as another team was called, no doubt for something else having gotten out of hand. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes and continued walking. Reaching the main office she stepped in seeing the rest of the people she usually worked with, saying nothing she took a spot in the back as they were given their orders. More war machines from Germany wreaking havoc on a few towns, no shock there. Tapping the toe of her boot on the floor she looked around, most of the people in this place didnâ??t even remember their real names, the few that did rarely used them. Very few people knew her real name, and fewer still used it. She looked up as the man giving out the orders called her. â??Gamble, youâ??ll be going on this one. Is that clear.â? She nodded knowing there was no point in saying otherwise, no one cared if you were comfortable with the orders you were given, you did them without question and without fail. She turned and walked out of the conference room, the others doing much the same; not saying anything they separated and went back to their rooms to suit up and get ready, a small time span of 10 minutes was always given before a mission to gear up. Going to her room she grabbed her thin strapped jacket, pulling it over her vest she felt it drape down and hit the backs of her ankles, pulling her leather pouch from her desk she strapped it to her leg. Opening another drawer she pulled out a felt cloth and opened it slowly, grabbing her Kevlar gloves she slipped them on leaving only the tips of her fingers exposed she reached down and carefully picked up her weapon. No one else had anything close to it in the entire UFO base, she had forged and designed it herself making it that much more unique, much like many of the people at UFO did. It was part of the process, you learn about the world, learn to fight, learn to follow orders, design your weapon, forge it, pass the test and then after years your turned into a member of UFO. Looking over the playing cards turned weapon she ran her finger along the edge of one and nodded to herself as it sliced her finger clean, blood dripping from it slowly. The cards were designed to look exactly like a deck of playing cards, each suit, every number, even the jokers; but they were made of strong, thin, light weight steel and sharpened on all sides making them deadly when thrown with accuracy and precision, both she had. Holding the deck together she slipped it snugly into the leather pouch on her leg, grabbing her sunglasses she pulled the mass of her hair back, grabbing her long sides one by one she wrapped them around the bulk of her hair and tied it off into a pony tail. Checking to make sure she had everything she needed she left the room and walked through the halls til she reached the garage. She sighed somewhat, even with all the advancements in science and technology the vehicles remained the same. Possible due to the Four Horsemen using all the science and technology to create weapons and cause chaos in the world instead of advancing it. She looked around the garage to see what vehicles were left and chose a motorcycle parked in the corner, she could see a few other members of her â??teamâ?? pile into a convertible, and another hop into a corvette. Engines came to life as they all started the machines they picked waiting for the signal to start their mission, watching as the light in the garage slowly shifted from red to yellow. Engines revved and roars as the impatience of the men and women grew. Allura pulled her sunglasses over her eyes, pushing a small button on the side to activate a colored night vision setting. They slowly made their way over to the garage doors, and as the light shifted down to green the doors flew open allowing them out onto the street. Allura felt her hair whip back over her shoulder as she kicked the bike into gear and set it into motion. The member known as Beat whipping the corvette onto the street next to her before she pulled ahead of him. It wasnâ??t a long ride and she knew it would be an easy mission, Germany always was, their bulky machines making large easy targets. It would be over quicker then it started and they would return home without the world ever knowing they had been there. Thatâ??s how it always was, strike quickly, and quietly, never be noticed and leave before anyone could find out what had happened. They didnâ??t exist. They werenâ??t supposed to have names. None of them remembered their families. They simply didnâ??t exist. Thatâ??s how UFO had always been, and how they always would be. Secret, safe, and for the people.

Nayomi huffed as she liked the dark, old blood of the corpses from her chops, her muzzle and chest coated in it, she tackled another to the ground and tore through his throat, a loud growl issuing from her that died slowly as the others began to fall about her. She let the growls die slowly as she looked about before a dogged smile spread on her features. She sat on her haunches and began to lick her fun clean as the others slowly made their way towards her. "Good work guys. We should be able to head home now." She turned as footsteps sounded behind her, her hackles grew in volume as the 2 team leads of Alpha and Beta shuffled forward, Barkin 's voice sounding hollow as he looked down at Nayomi. "Alpha team leader? I thought they were supposed to cease functioning after she died." The hollow voice continued. "These ones were to eliminate the mistress's enders." Nayomi growled more, turning she snapped her teeth as her team stepped forward to intercept the 2 dead team leads. "No! You'll get your selves killed. I'll handle them. I've fought them before and I know how to fight them." Victor and Dassem frowned as she planted her feet on the ground, her growls rising in volume as she circled the late team leaders. Barkin shuffled towards her and she bared her fangs dangerously. Throwing his hand forward Barkin shot a string of white lighting towards her that she dodged and yelp as a shard of iron lodged it's self in her shoulder. Nayomi looked towards the woman who threw the metal and growled more. "Asari...the metal bender..." Without another thought she dodge their attacks, moving in quickly to Asari first and tearing her throat clean, halting her movements forever. Withing a 20 minute radius she had killed both Barkin and Asari much the same way. Sitting on her haunches she gripped the metal shard still in her shoulder and pulled, her fanged teeth screeching against it harshly. Phasing back to her human form she sighed and pressed her hand over the bleeding wound on her upper arm. "We should get back...call for an extraction and let's get the hell...where's Chiron?" Victor and Dassem shrugged. Dassem speaking up. "I think he's still in the church." Sighing Nayomi walked towards the church, leaning on the door frame she had her eyes as she spoke at first. "Chrion, we're about to g-...what are you doing?" She had opened her eyes part way through her sentence and blinked as she saw the white haired man stooping over Clair's body with a semi large vile of what looked like her blood. They stared at each other a few moments, Chiron's face remaining passive. "Magic source. Blood mage and all Nayomi." "Riiiiight...and you NEED her blood?" "I would like to be able to handle some of the spells she used, therefore yes, her blood is required." Nodding slowly Nayomi simply stared at him a few more moments as he slipped the vile into his jacket pocket and straightened himself out. "Is there an issue?" "Nope...just freaky that's all." "My apologies." She waved him off and walked away listening as he followed suite. "Don't apologize. We all have our little quirks. I mean I'm a giant wolf, Dassem has a sword that screams, Victor is blind and you-" "It is not necessarily a quirk Nayomi, it is needed for magical properties." She continued as if she hadn't heard him, still walking ahead of him with out stopping. "Collect blood from dead people. Nothing to be ashamed of." "I am not ashamed of it." She turned, walking backwards as she smiled at at him, her hand still pressing on the bleeding wound on her shoulder. "That's good. No reason to be shamed for something that makes you unique." "Yet you just called it 'freaky'" "Didn't say it wasn't freaky, I mean seeing it actually 'done' is freaky but what can you do." Reaching the others she saw one of the teleportation operatives waiting for them. A light blue fog surrounded them and within moments they were standing in the hanger of the HDF. "Alright guys welcome home. Settle back in, I have to report to Hale. I'll let you all know when our next mission is." They all nodded and left going their respective ways. She halted Dassem as he turned. "Hey, First Sword." He turned meeting his blue eyes with her's, she gave him a small smile and a nod. "Good work out there today." He gave her a nod back. "Make sure Victor is taken care of Dassem. He was torn up fairly bad." "Speak for your self Nayomi." She looked at her shoulder and shook her head. "This is nothing. I'll meet you guys back at the hall after I report in." He nodded once more before he left for his personal dorms. Nayomi walked slowly, the blood slowing the a ooze as she walked til she reached the office she was looking for. Rapping on the door once she heard the Commandant's voice. "Enter." Opening the door she entered and saw a young man standing behind him, his skin was dark and his sandy blonde hair was cut short to his scalp, his dark eyes bore into her as she stepped through. "Sir, I came to report..." "Do not mind this man, he has only come to give me information. What is your report?" "Alpha and Beta are dead sir. I killed Barkin and Asari personally." Hale folded his hands under his chin thoughtfully as he looked at her, the wound on her shoulder clotted completely now. "I see, anything else?" "Sir, the situation is handled. The demon was taken care of by First Sword Dassem." The young man behind the Commandant raised an eye brow slightly. "How did he accomplish this?" "I'm not sure sir, I was handling her minions. From Victor and Chiron's notes there was smoke and they were unable to see exactly how it was that he killed her." The young man's face relaxed, and he stepped forward giving a slight bow. "Hale, it was good to see you. I'll return if I hear anything else." "I thank you Mr. Demos. It was good to see you as well." It was then that Nayomi could see faint marks on his skin, almost looking like road maps as he stood infront of her. "Likewise Hale." "It would be so much easier for you to relay this information if you were to join our ranks." He frowned and shook his head slowly. "I've told you before. This place is nothing but a box of pain for what it did to my parents. I'll never live within these walls as long as I can help it. Good day Commandant." Nayomi watched him leave and looked back at the Commandant. "What was that all about?" "There is unease in East Asia base. They are seeming to be under the impression we're building an army." She frowned and shook her head. "That's ridiculous." "Indeed. Also there is something else I would like to speak with you about. Do you recall the Elite team?" "The original Elite team? Who doesn't, they saved the world. We all do what we do because of them." "Do you recall their final mission?" "The final run in with Set. Of course." "Yes, after that a few of the left over gods remained, formed human lives and settled down peacefully." "Okay..." "We believe you are a child born of one of these gods." "I find that hard to believe." "Don't; your brothers are only half your siblings, your father we believe is Anubis. He came to this plane with his sister Baast." "And this has what to do with me exactly?" "We're not sure of that just yet as this information has just reached us. But I think it is within your best interest to know of this." She nodded slowly. "Thanks for that." She left without a single word, looking for the one person who could tell her the truth. She found him in the library as she always did, plopping down in the chair across from him she watched as he simply turned the page of the book he was currently reading. "Chiron, I need a solid favor from you." He lowered his book slowly and looked at her. "And that would be?" "I need you to read my soul?" "I would- Wait, do you have any idea how dangerous that is Nayomi?" "Yes....no." "I didn't think so. Is it important?" "I don't suppose so...I was just told that I might be the daughter of Anubis...:" "Slightly important. Or is this something you would like to know?" "Something I would like to know?" He sighed and put his book down slowly, his red eyes meeting her blue ones. "Give me five minutes." She gave him a triumphant smile and sat quietly waiting for him to finish with what he needed. It didn't take long for him to find what she was looking for and as he came from his looking he met her eyes once more. "It is true. But I can not see any kind of danger in this information." She nodded and looked at her phone as it buzzed lowly. "Thanks a mil Chiron. We apparently have another mission already. Seems we're heading to the southern temple of light. Guess there's been some kind of disturbance between the people of the temple and the people of the village it's built in." "What kind?" "Seems there have been reports of village people going missing and being found dead weeks later with their hearts cut out. The people are threatening to destroy the temple." She looked up at him and sighed. "No rest for the wicked?" He nodded slowly as they rose from the table and headed for the war room for their debriefing.

Nayomi was furious, growling low in her throat she circled the demon, her form hunched down ready for attack, she waited, watching the others; as soon as Dassem lunged she watched as Clair dodged easily, and launched her self forward. The growl echoing sounding more like a roar from a bear as she hit the demon broadside, twisting her body she landed on Clair, her weight pinning her down for a moment. She looked down and saw a flicker of fear through the eyes staring back at her, not hesitating she bent forward, aiming for her throat. A yelp came from her a dark shockwave of energy hit her in the stomach, the yelp turning back into a growl as she finished her attack latching her sharp fangs onto Clair's arm. "You filthy beast!" Nayomi wanted to cough, she wanted to choke on the taste of the rotten blood in her mouth but held on none the less, growls echoed from her throat as Clair swung her massive form around, Chiron and Dassem could see the muscles under her fur bunch and tremble as she tried to pulled the demon back down to the floor with no luck. Daseem came from his stupor and lunged for the demon again only to stop as she turned putting Nayomi in the way. He frowned as Nayomi growled out to him. "If you have to go through me, do it dammit! She has to die!" He stood for a moment, his sword lowering but his frown staying as Clair laughed wickedly. "Aw how sweet. The bonds of companionship. It'll be the death of you!" Nayomi felt her fur ruffle as if a wind was blowing, she could taste the power welling up in the demon's blood and let go, tackling Dassem to the floor as a dark bolt hit where he had been standing just a moment before, she looked down baring her fangs at him in anger. "You had a chance and you didn't take it! What's wrong with you?" "You were asking me to kill you in the process!" "My life is meaningless compared to the ones she's taken and will continue to take if we don't finish her off here and now!" With a shove of her weight for emphasis she stumbled off of the man and began to prowl around the demoness once more. Clair cackled again, her hand covering her mouth in a mocking manner. "You care deeply for your team don't you beast. Let's see if they feel same." Nayomi felt her muscles tense, she could feel her body tremble but couldn't move, her teeth ground together as she tried to move, tried to speak, but nothing was happening. Then panic rose in her chest as her vision slowly began to become clouded with a red haze. Clair was some how calling the natural wolf out from within her phased form, she was making her feral. Her growls grew in volume and intensity as she tried to fight, sheer will power was all she had and she could feel it slipping, until a loud crack sounded throughout the church as Chiron stood behind Clair, his hand smoking slightly from a blast he himself had sent towards the with turned demon. Clair turned and glared at Chiron, a mistake she would soon regret. Nayomi felt the pull loosen and managed to snap out of it, hunching down she launched her body at Clair, her weight once again through the woman to the floor, only this time Nayomi didn't give her time to react as she hunched down ready to bite through her throat and kill her for good. The voice that echoed through her earpiece is what caused her to stop. "This is Victor, we have a problem. The villagers are converging on the church." Nayomi felt the air rush from her body as she was thrown back, her paws catching the floor in time to stop her before she hit the back wall of the church, and probably going through it. "What do you mean?" "I mean all of the dead villagers are almost at the church!" Clair high pitched laughter made her attention shift as she looked up, low growls coming from her chest. "They have come to save their master. Let us see how you fare against them." All at once the church collapsed, they were surrounded, hollow eyes, sunken skin and breaths of death as the sea of people shifted back and forth. "There are so many...this is over half of what we saw coming in..." Dassem nodded. "There's over 3 hundred of them..." He grunted as one lunged froward grabbing onto him, he reacted instantly pushing his white hot blade through the person's chest, straight through his heart. What made them uneasy was what happened next. The man stood from the ground and took his place back among the sea of people. "They can't be killed...we have to kill her to end them" Nayomi nodded at Chiron's words. "Alright, we have to do this properly. Daseem, you and Chiron focus on the bitch, I'll do my best to keep them off of you." "There's to many of them Wolf." Nayomi looked over at the two men giving them wolfish grin. "Then you better make it quick." Without another word she threw her self into the sea of people, teeth gnashing and growls sounded as she battled on her own drawing their attention away from her team.
