Am currently a fangirl of BLEACH's resident racketeer Urahara Kisuke, main reason being 'cause his seiyuu is Miki Shinichirou. Kisuke really isn't the type who'll get a good share of fangirls (that ridiculous hat hair isn't helping either) but when he gets his bishounen moments, he becomes undoubtedly idol-material. Add to that his wicked and off-beat sense of humor and you've got the anime character I'm crushing on. Yami no Matsuei's Kazutaka Muraki is a mainstay on my list of anime crushes. Yes, he's psychotic and yes, he's one of the most twisted villains around. And that's why I love his character. The good doctor's also 100% beautiful (well, 98
'cause of his right eye
) with his platinum hair, glasses and impeccable sense of style. *swoons* (And another favorite seiyuu of mine, the divine Sho Hayami, is the person behind Muraki's sexy voice. * recovers and swoons again*)

^ 2nd'd with emphasis on the last paragraph. A background of foliage is fine but if you don't wanna use green, may I suggest a dungeon-themed background instead? Add in stone walls, a dingy floor and a few torches here and there, yeah? Sure-fire way to give your piece that fantasy-adventure feel (not to mention bricks are easier to render than a myriad of leaves ;P).

C-130 Crash Site "boss":
Archer
from Syphon Filter 2. The hardest shot inthe game, IMO, in the whole series, even. A single armored target on a helicopter. And just to spite us coordination-challenged gamers,
if you wanna unlock the SF1 characters for the Multiplayer mode, you gotta take him out with a single shot before his helicopter gets out of your weapon's range.
Goody. Yet more enemies you gotta drop quick: Tonberries and cactrots. Yes, they're cute but no, you can't keep 'em on your screen for long.

Dearest Revelation, your works have time and again proven to be excellent reads. They are all so beautifully written that, in my humble opinion, even your Adventure Inn signups are capable of increasing one's IQ points. On to Femme Fatale: The way the scenes progressed and the highly illustrative narrative made both chapters feel like ponderous but well-paced buildups to something really grand and exciting (and they are, aren't they?). You took your time in describing all relevant details with subtlety and delivered the goods with an elegant writing style. In summary: Whoa. I'm looking forward to the next installment of Femme Fatale!

^ Dang. You post too fast, Lix. Thought I'll be the first one to say "I'm gonna sell clothes." Anyway, I'd probably open a costume shop and sell racks upon racks of ecchi maid uniforms, leather catsuits and pouffy skirts. Flamboyant, kinky, gaudy, whatever; my shop's got what them run-of-the-mill department stores won't dare dream of selling. (hmm, got a tagline there)

1) For example: My instructor told me that a particular stroke in "ya" (see picture) has to be started on the 1/2 line I was talking about. I'm not sure about similar rules/preferences for other characters, though (methinks it's pretty complicated). 2) Yes, that's it! The number should appear at the start of the stroke. Well put.

Kept the size within OB's sig restrictions, in case you're gonna use it within this hallowed realm. Sorry I can't follow your request to the letter, boss-fella. I really, truly am. *bows* Please PM me if you want me to change anything (besides the dimensions) in this banner.

Meh, I think it's better this way,
Rukia and Renji appearing at different episodes so as to put some even spacing between these wonderful, wonderful events.
Gotta keep the fans interested, yeah?
I won't be surprised if Ikkaku shows up before episode 80! But I do hopeRenji gets more exposure in this arc.
And Shinigami's Golden Cup just keeps getting better and better. Wonder what they've got in store for White Day?

Wonderful project, Chabichou-san! Yes, these are definitely better than the old ones 'cause the strokes are numbered and one can see the characters as they are constructed. Um, perhaps you should edit out that zoom-in thing 'cause I felt strangely light-headed after seeing it for the first time. And it would help if the numbers showed up at the start of each sequence; that way, it's easier to distinguish between strokes. EDIT: Also, I gather that some strokes should be started halfway up the space provided. Maybe you can add in a "1/2" line as well?

^ Signed. Some anime series-themed categories hold fewer than ten avatars. 'Guess it's high time to put them 17 Matrix avatars in a separate category.

Wai~! Thanks for the easy transition, Illusion! *heart* CLICKZOR EDIT: I guess I have to say something about this piece, yeah? Um, the girl's from the cover of Asian Kung Fu Generation's Siren single and Fukuoka is a song of Takui (swanky pop god!). I thought of making a blue piece to break the recurring red-and-orange theme but I really am not fond of that color. Thus, the Barbie pink piece.

Actually, suicide rates go down during the winter months then up during spring. Says so in this site. Methinks it's more reliable than Wikipedia or Urban Dictionary (please pray for its immediate deliverance).

I've yet to watch any of the series you mentioned, Sora, although watching a recent episode of Naruto made me wish that I followed it from Episode 1. I think the reason why people emulate other people when it comes to what anime series to worship is 'cause the series guarantees a rollickin' good time. With all those favorable feedback and l33t testimonies, it's nigh impossible that the series will fail to entertain them. Rarely can anime fans sample a series without having to buy it so to get their money's worth, they often choose to go by the opinion of other fans (which really is the closest thing they have for a recommendation). EDIT: If you're really bugging about these fads, don't. Because they're fads/phases, they'll pass, you know?

For albums, it's a tie between: Cowboy Bebop's Tank! THE! Best! (yes! that's! what's! written! on! the! cover!)

One of the few soundtracks I can listen to without skipping a track. It's a melange of music genres, ranging from catchy blues to really pop-py pop, and it's got these really interesting track notes.
The yellow and blue theme is eye-catching too! (it's a marketing strategy, I tell ya!)
and Uta no ARUBUMU from Sakura Wars

I love this one to pieces! It's got the full versions of the opening and ending songs from the first season plus image songs of each Hana-gumi member.
It's also has that Cinderella piece from Sakura's stage debut. Maria's masculine singin voice is heavenly.*swoons*

Hmm, from what I gather, your story's shaping up to be an amalgamation of different tried-and-tested formulas used in series like Rekka no Honou and Yu Yu Hakusho. But do continue working on your manga. Eventually you'll think of more ways to make it stand out. :) So, will it be pure action/drama or are there gonna be comic reliefs?

YM 'cause I'm too lazy to figure out how the others work. :P Not only is YM my friends' preferred messaging system (other than the insanely popular local SMS-PC service) but there's something in that grey sleeping smiley that makes me wanna fire YM up. -+-+-+-+- Yes, hrmm, this Trillian-thing sounds intriguing. Wonder if H2G2's Trillian is related.

You could try drawing the general shape of the 'do then fill it with the necessary strokes later. For example, to draw an afro, I make a slightly elongate circle on the head then fill it in with random curls. It works well for bangs too! All you got to do is to define the hairline and the length of the bangs with lines on the forehead. You can then draw the bangs; just remember that you can't leave a gap on the hairline's end. As for advice about drawing those wind-blown 'dos, do what I did: start by copying directly from drawings. It may take a while before one gets the hang of it but it really ain't that difficult. Best of luck, yeah? :)

Fruits Basket was very well dubbed, I think. It was dubbed by the company FUNimation[/b']. Even though their voice actors are used often, I think each of them portrayed every character wondefully.
Signed! Shigure's voice in that dub sounded remarkably like the Nihongo Shigure, and Uotani's and Ayame's voices matched the characters perfectly. Sub or Dub? With legions of companies subbing and dubbing often the same anime, there's always the chance of bumping into a below-par interpretation of the series and an equal possibility of chancing upon a good one. In some instances, one'll have watched a good sub and then a bad dub or the other way around, so he/she says: "Ah, sub/dub must be better". I guess what I'm trying to say is one can't always generalize about subs or dubs being second-rate to the other. I had my fair share of the good and bad of both, and have come to realize this truth: As long as they don't mess up the story, I'm all for both.

Maybe the transparency dithering settings are off. Alright, chief. Here's what I'd do: 1. Create your image with the transparency and all. Pretty basic. 2. Go to File>Save for Web. A screen that looks like this should pop up. 3. Follow the settings in the picture and save. 4. Enjoy! ^ Yes, but that emo spawned the variety the first few posts were talking about. After all, wasn't the emotive hardcore dynasty defined by the lachrymose songs of its proponents and faithful, faithful subjects? Hmm, no? Alrighty then. To avoid confusion, I shall use the term "neo-emo" hereinafter. I've no problem with neo-emos in girly pants or black, crumpled shirts. I really don't. Problem is some of them can't stop wallowing in self-indulgent pity (probably them "scenesters" Amelia was talking about). Exasperating people to talk with; I usually tune out (or in extreme cases, bolt) when I sense someone's gonna go neo-emo on me. Ma, neo-emos around me have yet to do anything criminal. It won't hurt me if I lent an ear 'til they get through this, um, phase.

^ It probably is. Hope they change the horrible ending theme animation too. But what about the three still-unnamed characters in it? Shouldn't they be introduced first before the arc closes? :animestun But yeah, maybe they're gonna end the arc in 68/69.
They've already primed us for a possible Soul Society-related arc with all that Senkai-Gate-is-closed thing. Who could be making that "unidentified transmission" and to whom was it for? And why was Ukitake carrying so many sweets in his sleeves? (Poor Hitsugaya!)
I *really* am looking forward to it!

What's this? A Gakkou no Kaidan thread? Oh joy! Oh rapture! Yeah, it does sound Scooby Doo-ish at times but then you remember that all them ghosts were actually real (anime-real, if I may say. :P). I love the way the show had me laughing at one scene then scaring me senseless at the next. It's a really odd anime, if I may say, blending good, clean, G-rated fun with Japanese-style horror. Never have I encountered anything like it. Oh, one more thing: Sub, dub, raw, whatever. As long as it gives me the creeps, I'd hit it.

_____Where the mountains of Ettenmoors rise from the Coldfells, a nameless river spills from the summit frosts and forth on to the plains. Never had the little-folk of the Shire nor the men of Arnor marked it in their maps for never did they see the need of going to this barren land. Yet to the Rangers and Elves, the river had always been a welcome sight for the weary: straddling its northernmost banks was an ancient fortress of the northern watchguards. There, men and elves alike take refuge from the barrenness of the north. There, the Lords of Rivendell hold sway over the land. _____The last rays of the sun had barely been put out when a small company on horseback stopped at the fortress?s gate. Cerulean lamps hung from the saddles, lending the riders? green armors an ethereal radiance distinct only to articles of Elven make. The rider at the front removed his helmet and revealed a fair face framed by dark hair. He raised a gloved hand to an unseen guard and gave his command: _____?I am Elrohir of Rivendell,? said the rider, his silver eyes gleaming with light from the gate torches. ?Yield to thy lord, Gates of Coldfells.? _____No sooner had the elf finished did the massive gilded doors swing open. Though it was well-lit and peopled, hardly any sound was made in the inner court, save for the light footfalls of the soldiers and the occasional whinny of a horse. Directly across the gate was a great edifice with walls made out of polished pallid stone and stood in great contrast to the somber shaded bricks that made up the surrounding lofty walls. _____Elrohir alighted from his steed and drew his cloak behind him. He and his company made their way into the white structure and were greeted inside by another elf that bore a striking resemblance to Elrohir. _____?Well met, Ellada?? _____?Brother! Have you news concerning the DĂșnadan?? _____?I have not caught sight nor hearsay of his exploits of late. Were you expecting tidings from him?? _____Elladan said nothing but instead lead his brother into the halls. His forehead was furrowed and his thoughts remained unsounded as they made their way to a room on the second level. After making certain that no one was nearby, he set the locks on the door and bid his brother to a map hanging on the wall. _____?How fares the North Downs, Elrohir?? asked Elladan. _____?As it has for countless years: silent and barren. Yet it was two nights ago when we spotted what looked like a winged creature off to the South, near Breeland.? Elrohir pointed to where Deadman?s Dike was on the map and traced a southward path to Bree. ?Wherever it went, it left the stench of Mordor. The DunĂ©dain of Bree are troubled, Elladan. War is forthcoming, they say, and Sauron has indeed begun rallying terrible creatures for his hosts,? he said. Elrohir met his brother?s eye and Elladan saw that a grim look had settled on his face. _____?The Nine are finally abroad.? _____In the shade of night, the Gates of Coldfells parted and gave passage to the Elf-Lord once more. Noro lim, Arroch, he whispered to his horse. Outrun the sun. Rivendell must be forewarned. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+ I hope this is alright, Jokopoko-san. I thought it would be interesting if one of Arwen's brothers tagged along.
