Twelve Days of Christmas. Oh how I love the looks on the faces of our first year students everytime they are told to give a formula describing the total number of gifts the singer received. Love and Peace!

Impressive stuff for someone who calls him/herself a Photoshop noob! Strangely enough, "Nova" reminds me of Final Fantasy X. Perhaps because it's reminiscent of Tidus' sword. Love the colors, love the concept and I even love the border! One thing though: maybe you could sharpen the word "Nova"? For "bloodlinez", I agree with Sciros: the red parts are too dark. I had to up my monitor's Brightness just to take a look at the said banner. Again, it's lovely stuff. Invest on pixel fonts. Love and Peace!

?It?s always ?Our little quarrel will continue later.? Sneaky little lackwit.? With the girl in tow, Lisette approached and gently pushed her little companion towards the Hunter. ?I?ll make like the demoness and get back to you later. Take care of the girl, will you?? Shadows rose around Lisette. On the wind that blew upon her departure floated a narrow card that settled on the girl?s palm. The Hunter bent to the child?s level to inspect the card. On it was a girl with her head inside a lion's mouth. ?Strength? Did she tell you what this means?? The child?s eyes were blank. A formless shadow had invaded her golden irises and made no sign of waning even as the Hunter tried to shake the girl back into consciousness. Seeing that her efforts were in vain, the Hunter carried the child in her arms and left the building. As they passed the gates, the girl whispered in a voice that was distinctly hers yet not so: ?My lovely Hunter, do not let yourself be led by petty impulses.? OOC: May not look like it but am looking forward to the next chapter. Here we go, loves. As you can see, my avi says "eternity", not "Freude". I'm in need of an avatar featuring either Faye Valentine of Cowboy Bebop or Natsumi Tsujimoto of You're Under Arrest. No need to put my name in. Oh, and one more thing: If it's possible, add a little something that says "Christmas" to it. Go wild, beloved artists of OB! Love and Peace!

Weee! Another Ludwig Kakumei fan! Yes, it is a very interesting (and strangely addicting) manga; somehow, Ms. Yuki's version of the stories sound more, hmm... plausible than the original. Can't say that I like it more than Count Cain though. I give this manga a 10/10 for the great artwork and originality.

The yellow picture reminds me of vanilla ice cream. Mmm... Hope you like it! Love and Peace! -
Do they clash? Am still trying to fix the avatar 'cause it looks a bit... sloppy. The banner's good to go. Avatar Love and Peace!

Ah, but if we say that 40% of the possible infinite worlds are habitable, does that not also mean that there are an infinite number of them? And while we're at it, infinite habitable worlds mean that the universe's total population approaches infinity. Right. Given:
1) an infinite population; 2) an infinite number of habitable worlds; 3) the fact that we have yet to find an equation describing the population of each habitable world in the universe; and 4) the limit of the quotient of functions approaching infinity does not exist until proven by some mathematical rule like L'Hopital's
we can conclude that no one exists. Again, the theory came from the guy who said that the calculation room of the universe's most wonderful ship resembles a restaurant. I love it. Love and Peace!

?My, my. Even with a half-breed you intend to cheat? old woman?? The gleam of the Hunter?s sword was frightfully bright yet it disappeared the moment the demon?s shadow fell over it. In Lisette?s hand it once again materialized. ?Hunter! Heads up!? The Acolyte threw it straight towards the Hunter, grazing the demon?s cheek as it passed by.

*points up* The chances of Murphy's Law turning on itself? Now, that's a lovely idea. Then they could compute the chances of the possibility of having an infinitisimal number of possible futures. *passes out* I've a question though: Are we allowed to use only natural numbers? If so, then at the worst case, the result would fall somewhere in the 8.5 mark. They should have set the limit there. Sorry for spoiling the fun, loves; I believe that my luck cannot be quantified by any equation involving trigonometric operations. Love and Peace!

If one were to observe the scene closely, a woman would be seen amid the ruckus quietly sipping a yard of ale. Her eyes wandered lazily across the room as she watched her fellow elementals slash and rip through the demon horde. How now my sweet creature of indolence? ?Psh. They can handle it. Besides?? ?It?s too cramped in here! We?ll have a better chance outside!? Your cue. ?Ah, mou!? Kumiko and Epona wove through the mess and made their way towards the largest opening on the wall. A black-haired elemental was there having the time of his life, fighting off the demons with his companions. They did not seem to be losing, but they didn?t look like they were gaining the upper hand either. ?Mind giving us a hand, miss?? ?Master Gray, I?ll seal this entrance off.? ?Hurry up.? Her fingers stroked the floor lightly. ?Sui. Hyouheki.? The air suddenly cooled and frost slowly formed at the base of the entrance. It spread upwards and athwart, sealing the gap with thick blue ice. Gray took a step back and observed the demons on the other side of the ice; no matter how much the demons pounded, the wall showed no sign of weakening. ?Good work.? The Earth elemental gave her a quick nod and left. After sticking a strip of printed paper on the ice wall, she too went and joined the others outside.

Meow... I've no other program but Adobe Photoshop so it wouldn't be right for me to say that it's the best one around. But it does its job, if you know how to use it. Just remember to get the latest version. And yeah, if you've money to burn, invest in one of those Wacom tablet and pen thingies (am still saving up for one). Love and Peace!

Ne, Kumiko? Just a morsel of that delectable pork pie? ?Ai, Epona! You?ve had enough pies to last me a week!? Kappa~! Had she known that the Water Serpent had a bottomless pit for a stomach, she wouldn?t have brought him along her pilgrimage. Yet, there they were: in a dark corner of the tavern trying to draw as little attention to their direction as possible. Kappa, her pet thing had already passed out twice from exhaustion ere they arrived in town and Epona, her ever-useless comrade, had once again run their provisions out. And now, now they were flat broke. What are we doing here anyway? We?re bankrupt, for crying out loud! Kappa~! Oi, you penny-pinching lackwit, call Lady Luck out and tell her to help you win a round of poker. Kappa~! And yeah, while you?re at it, ask for some pork pies too? ?Shush!? Kumiko stared at the entrance to the inn. Lively was the crowd that separated her and the door yet it seemed to her companions that she was listening intently for something. Her eyes twinkled against the dim lights as the door creaked open. In came a purple-haired woman and her companions. Stop muttering, girl. Kumiko didn?t heed the serpent from beneath the table. Yes, the signs her Lady had given had come to pass; the appointed hour of the gathering was nigh. Perhaps she would observe the lady a little longer?

Discuss Elemental Beasts: Demon Invasion [Underground] [M-LSV]

I've a question, love: With Mir having 4 different races, does that mean that we can roleplay as, say, a Lizard-person? -
Meow, maybe after previewing it, you forgot to save? (I'm sorry; it's the only solution I could think of. Perhaps the Technical Staff will be of more help.) Love and Peace!

A diller, a dollar, A ten o'clock scholar, What makes you come so soon? The lady Hunter spun around for she knew very well the voice that called out. Surely enough, behind her was the Queen of Hearts sitting on a pew and quietly singing to the girl whose head on her lap. ?Queen of Hearts, I did as you asked. Release the girl.? ?You have figured it out. Impressive.? Lisette stood up and walked over to the Hunter. ?The thing I love the most, my dear Hunter,? she continued as a finger traced a path from the Hunter?s chin. ?is your heart.? Silence stood between them as their minds battled. None of them moved and a for long while they stared at each other. ?MISS LISETTE!? The cry drew the women?s eyes from each other and towards the girl. Far down the aisle stood a vile demon, its accursed flesh gleaming revoltingly against the flickering candleflames. In its arms was the girl. ?A dimple on your cheek, You are gentle and meek. A dimple on your chin, You?ve a devil within.? ?Identify yourself!? ?Release the child, miss...? ?Heh, or else what, Lisette?? Indeed, Lisette is acquainted with this demon. She had fought with it many times ere particular this meeting. Her horde often assailed the Krankenhaus and its store of cursed weapons. Lisette and the others were always able to beat them back with the said artifacts. ?You loathsome rogue; what have you to brag? Perhaps it would do you good to yield to us demons.? ?I ally with no one but the demons of my Krankenhaus. And besides,? Lisette flipped her hair and raised an eyebrow at the demon. ?You are old, lady Demon, and your invectives are dull. Peace, love, lest I make your wit bankrupt.? Laughing, she turned to the Hunter. ?Fate, it seems, had appointed this as the hour that we draw our weapons together. You hunt demons, Seven?? The hunter replied with a smile. ?In my spare time.?

Oooh... white! The font's fine; just fill it in with a solid color other than white. And.... and... maybe you could sharpen the images? Yeah, that would be nice! Love and Peace!

Atop a spire in the shadows Lisette sat with the girl on her lap. Though her little companion was most certainly her captive, she did not bind her for the girl willingly kept quiet as they waited for the Hunters. ?What is it love?? ?Miss, are you after ?it? too?? ?Hmm? ?It?? I do not know of this ?it? that you?re talking about.? ?Then why did you?? ?Ah, child,? Lisette laughed. Never had she a companion as naïve as this one. The girl had been kidnapped before; surely she knew that she was being held for a ransom. ?Do you remember the lady with wings?? ??Yes.? ?Well... she has something I need.? ?What is it?? ?It?s a secret.? ?Is it something I have?? "Oh, possibly.? ??Then have mine? just let me go home, Miss.? Of course, she couldn?t say what is it she wanted from the Hunter, not in front of this girl. The prospect of a heart as pure as the girl?s tempted her yet the Hunter?s heart she valued more. She looked at the girl and saw that she was playing with Poppy, her pet bird. The girl had a way with strangers; even Lisette felt her heart draw near to the girl?s. Ah, maybe, just maybe, in another circumstance she would take this child under her care. Yes, she would watch over her until she grows up. But her immediate business was with the Hunters; not with the child nor with anyone else. Her musings she will have to set aside until all of this was over.

Are we talking about Japanese anime here? I once asked my friend why "Titan A.E." was under the category "anime". I said it shouldn't be 'cause it had CG animation and... and then he countered my argument with Blue Submarine #6. I didn't want to tell him that I doubted its classification because it wasn't made by the Japanese. The term "anime" was coined by the Japanese to refer to any animated film, be it from Studio Ghibli or Disney. It seems that outside that country, "anime" refers to animation works from Japan. Taking the Japanese definition for "anime", I think that it had become mainstream even before the advent of Tetsuwan Atom, that anime entered the entertainment industry when those machines that you wind to flip pictures became popular. People who say ?I hate the fact that anime and manga have become so mainstream.? don't probably realize that by watching "Beauty and the Beast", they're already supporting this style of moviemaking. Meow, that's what I think. Love and Peace!

Arguments For And Against the Necessity of Guns & Gun Control
Delta replied to lcrisler's topic in General Discussion

Ranger is also skilled with martial arts. He says, "All the martial arts in the world can't stop a .45".
You could always try disarming the one with the .45 with, let's say, judo. Pin him down, break a bone (preferably a vertebra) and take his gun. That's assuming that he has you at point blank. XD
So now I ask you, with a properly placed question mark, what would you do when threatened with bodily injury or death and you have a pistol? I know I won't shoot. I know Ranger will. I don't know about you but I would like to live a little longer
I'm sorry but I really think people who run around with guns and try to rob somebody are very bad shots. And if they're trying to rob you discreetly, that means that they are close enough to be grabbed and pinned to the ground. My answer: I won't shoot. I'll knock him unconscious with it. Besides, I'd rather he kill himself either because of his lawyer's fees or the biting misery of being imprisoned. Love and Peace! -
Name: Kumiko Age: 25 Sex: Female Appearance: Her eyes are of different colors: one is gray, the other blue. On her forehead is a small blue character that enables her to control water. She usually dons a dark blue coat and gray pants. Three silver ribbons keep Kumiko?s long dark hair in a ponytail down her back. History: Once, the deity Benzai-ten descended to the earth to subdue a dragon that raped the land. A girl near death she found in the belly of the dragon; this girl she took to the Sea Elves and there was taught the art of letters and music most dear to the deity. Benzai-ten?s priestesses named the girl Kumiko, the eternally beautiful child, whose countenance bore semblance to their patroness. When she was ripe of age, the deity visited her again, this time in the form of a wizened nun. She was pleased to learn that the girl had become proficient in the arts and was even taught swordplay. Yet she concluded that the then lumbering sweeps and thrusts of Elven swordplay did not suit her Kumiko well. On the last day of their lessons, the deity revealed herself to the girl and bid a sword to Kumiko?s keeping. She taught her a divine technique called ?Enoshima? she often used in vanquishing minions of iniquity. With the sword and Enoshima, she was able to keep in check the Water Serpent Epona which, after its defeat, swore to aid the girl in her heavenly charge. Element: Water Elemental Partner: Epona the Water Serpent Weapon: Ensui ? an unbreakable sword blessed by a water goddess. The blade is made from crystallized water from the River of Death. Its shape allows graceful sweeps and quick thrusts. Kept in place with a sapphire cord tied around her waist. Skills: Swimming Swordplay Heightened senses Spells: Sui ? Her basic water spell. Variations of this spell enables Kumiko to manipulate different forms of water. Deus Ex Machina ? a force shield able to withstand high-level elemental spells. Heavily drains the strength of the caster (Kumiko can only generate the shield for a minute before it consumes her body). Companions: A lizard-like water creature named Kappa.
