My maternal grandmother fattens us up whenever we visit her. She loves to eat and I think that's why she lives long. ... Good people do live long! Also, she loves to point at a gecko and introduce us to it. ("Ah, that's (name of gecko). He lives in the kitchen.") I sooo love her. :D And Chibi, just hang on. :lecture: Maybe her stroke is one of them "signs from God", a wake-up call of sorts. Do visit her. Maybe if she sees that you still "love" her even though she treats you like crap, she'll go soft! Yeah! Treat iniquity with kindness (whether it is sincere or not doesn't matter). Then laugh as soon as you exit her room.

Gaming Most tragic video game character deaths...
Delta replied to mononoke_man's topic in Noosphere
Tragic Deaths (I've two.) 1)
Lavitz from LoD!!! (thanks for pointing that out, Iamcrazyfangirl!)
He WAS cute. And strong too! And his combo attacks are easy to execute. And... and... I miss him so. 2)
Psycho Mantis' in Metal Gear... everybody dies in MG...
Yeah, I agree with semjaza.
Aeris was killed too early in the game! I really hoped that Cait Sith could just die in Aeris' stead.
:D -
Sign Up Dragon Riders of Celebrynn (M - Blood and violence)

Name: Vanilla Marmalade aka Hildegarde Rose Age: 24 Sex: Female Appearance and Short History: The name "Hildegarde Rose" was given to her by Zerveria's defense force whom she has eluded many times. (BTW: The Hildegarde rose is a white rose variant prized in Zerveria for its immense beauty and rarity. She's wanted for kidnapping Zerveria's nobility). Though nobody knew who this "Hildegarde Rose" was, her captives described her as "a beautiful woman in robes of sapphire ... with irises of the same color and hair of dazzling white... WHY CAN'T YOU CATCH SOMEBODY WITH FEATURES AS STRIKING AS THAT?!?" She's as charming as they go! When she's not kidnapping people, she's hanging out in Celebrynn's outskirts or seeking out a certain good-looking Dragon Rider. Vanilla's reason for abducting the landed gentry is uncertain but she insists that she does it for the fun and fame. Caramel is her "noble steed", and the fastest dragon around. She provides good counsel to Vanilla though the impetuous human rarely heeds them. Vanilla "borrowed" her from a Zerverian duke back when she was about 5 years old. My, my, that's too young an age to start stealing. She is currently waiting for a job offer. *wink* Weapon: Dulcet - A flute that can hold sway on people its player chooses. Truly suitable for a woman of Vanilla's profession. *Dragon* Name: Caramel Sex: Female Appearance: Her hide's silver and could fly at cloud-level without being detected. Her eyes are golden brown or caramel-colored, as Vanilla would put it. She looks Eastern in origin, being more lizard-like in appearance than saurus-type. Element: Wind ~o~o~o~o~o~o~ Ei, I want to be allied with Celebrynn. But it's for you to decide where my allegiance lies. -
As the twilight star appeared above the western horizon, a passing breeze stole a lilac blossom from the wisteria tree. The petals rocked along the waves of the gentle wind and sailed downwards, their paths traced fragile yet resplendent lightwaves in the air. With another brief gust, heart of the field was illuminated by numerous cerulean lightwaves suspended in midair. ?Elen-uial síla lúmenn' omentielvo...? A hazy apparition materialized beside her. It was a knight dressed in the distinctive emerald robes of Aflheim?s protectors. His platinum hair, blown by an unfelt wind, glistened in the lightwaves and slowly fell on his back. The figure greeted her with a bow. ?...Ituile.? She nodded in acknowledgement and began, ?The inquiry is nearing a conclusion. Tell the High Elf I have reason to believe that the Beast--?? ?Lady Ituile, when will you return to Aflheim?? The boughs of the wisteria started to sway gently in the wind that gathered from the west and Seregross directed his eyes towards the rustling leaves. She smiled and thought her companion was amusing. ?You already know what my answer is.? ?? Of course. It is ?When I feel like returning.?? ?How is Aflheim?? ?The disturbances are occurring more frequently lately. The High Elf is holding the Beast responsible.? Seregross folded his arms across his chest. ?But everything else is in order. The Frontlines are still operational and so far, there has been no show of hostility from Formenréna? ?I see. And?? ?Do you still not wish to return to Aflheim?? Ituile shook her head. ?...is there anything else?? ?The Lady High Elf bid me to give you this.? From within his robe, Seregross brought out a thin scroll bound in golden cords resplendent in ethereal light. And he took her hand and pressed the scroll into it. ?To you the scroll of Palúremir is bequeathed as to me is the scroll of Elenuial...? As held her hands close to his breast, he spoke in a language unknown to her. Yet she understood his voice inside her mind. The Lady High Elf enlightened me of your task and hence our paths will diverge. If this is where our fates cease to intertwine, then let it be so. One of Ituile?s hands broke through his clasp and touched Seregross? cheek. She sighed, smiled and said, ?Lord Seregross, do not burden your self with such trivial cares. I do not let my fate be lead by anyone but myself, and I choose it to be eternally bound with yours.? Seregross smiled and started to fade. ?However distant from our realm your charge may take you, may the scroll of the Earth never fail and forever be in your service as it was in Aflheim?s.? And Ituile answered, ?May we fare well until our next meeting.? The lightwaves started to fade as the twilight star descended and joined the Sun beneath the western horizon. A soft wind went by, and when it swung her hair, she heard in it Seregross' voice ...I, too, have long bound my fate to yours. ~o~o~o~o~ OOC:  Finally! Note: Elenuial is Elven for ?twilight star? and Palúremir is ?a precious thing of the Earth?s bosom?. I?ve been in Tolkien mode lately. I hope I got these Elven words right. *giggles* Nefertimon, you DO belong here! The RPG?s just starting so it might feel like our characters live in completely different worlds. :D

Every time the wind blows from the west of Seer?s Hamlet, it brings with it the scent wafting from the nearby flower field. It is not a field so much as a plot of land but at its heart stood a magnificent wisteria tree. Some say it is enchanted for it blooms all year round but never sheds its purple flowers. On its boughs are lamps which glow with the fireflies and dye the tree a strange yet comforting cerulean at night. Just a few yards away is a small cottage whose walls are covered with vines of different shades of green. In there the elf who takes care of the field, the tree and the vines resides. Most of the townsfolk call her Doc but she also goes by the name Ituile. ?Say, Doc, do you have any Vanilla Potion left?? ?Vanilla Potion? Hmm... Let?s see...? Ituile ran her finger across the top shelf as her eyes browsed quickly through the different labels. ?Ah! Here it is.? She chose a bottle filled with liquid that looked like milk and placed it in front of the visitor. ?Anything else?? ?No. Nothing else. Thanks, Doc.? As she walked the visitor to the door, he brought out a small pouch of strange-looking plants and gave it to the elf. ?Here. They said you needed this.? ?Oh! Desert roses! Yes, thank you, I?m running low on these.? ?Well, just tell me when you need more.? The visitor nodded. ?Doc.? Ituile bowed back as the visitor turned to go. ?Do take care!? She started walking towards the wisteria tree. Desert roses: desert plants. Though an occasional drizzle helps, they?ll drown if there?s too much water. His training must be the cause. Hmm... maybe I should start planting desert roses here. The wisteria tree greeted its caretaker with a long rustle and Ituile lovingly touched its trunk in acknowledgement. The sky was bluer than ever and its blue seemed to flow into the ocean miles away from Seer?s Hamlet. Towards the desert?s general direction, a gray silhouette broke the azure ether. The elf shook her head. Koryu is there somewhere. And Hoshi must be with him, too. ?HEY! BRING SOME DESERT ROSES WITH YOU WHEN YOU GET BACK!? She sighed and leaned on the tree. ~o~o~o~o~ ...Nothing. I'm still having trouble with my verb tenses. More so when I don't get enough sleep. Hey, how do you indent paragraphs here?

Leh's right! A lot of people will be sad. Even people that you think don't care about you will be sad too. It's just a phase. I bet my membership at OB that it's going to turn out okay in the end. If you think you've hit rock bottom, then there's nowhere to go but UP! Yeah! *peace sign* Cheer up ! And don't kill yourself. What if you're destined to do something great for the whole world? Love and Peace!

Name: Ituile Apparent Age: 21/??? (She ages veeeery slowly so she looks like she's 21 even though she?s past a couple of centuries old *wink*) Eyes: Chocolate brown. Hair: Straight ankle-length dark brown hair. She ties it up with bands along its length. Sex: Female Elemental Affinity: Earth Race: Elf Class: Geomancer Primary Weapon: Save the Queen - a bow which was rumored to have been used to seal a golem that almost destroyed Aflheim. It was given to her by the High Elf. Secondary Weapons: ?it?s not exactly a weapon but hidden inside her robes is the Earth Scroll Spells: 1. Ground Zero ? an Earth spell. Its many forms are recorded in the Earth Scroll 2. After Winter ? makes plants sprout from the ground in accelerated growth. Useful for gardening and disposing of bandits. 3. Valkyrie Persuasion ? a high-level curative spell that can even heal a petrified being... but she only uses it when you?re *very* much near death. Appearance: Ituile wears a long white robe tied with ochre-colored cords. Though she is a botanist and a geomancer, she miraculously keeps her robes clean. When she's working, she likes to fold her ponytail. She has pointed ears as she is of Elven blood. Personality: Because she is good in magic, she thinks that she exists to protect something. She?s strict and meticulous and expects her students to pay attention even to minute details. Her lab is a mess but she gets the work done. In fact, she is obsessed in getting any job she accepts done. Apparent Biography: Centuries ago, the High Elf had a vision that when the Rain God awakens from his slumber, a Lord of Aflheim will come forward and assist the god in his divine charge. The High Elf knows that Fate should remain enigmatic for it to move without interference and decided to keep this prophesy to herself. Ituile is a descendant of a most ancient line of elves who once assisted the gods during the thousand-year War of Chaos. Magic in her was stronger than in most elves and so she was offered tutelage by the most brilliant elves. Under the High Elf?s advice, she concentrated in Earth Magics, as she was especially gifted in this area. She found a career in Alfheim?s Defense Forces and there she was able to master the use of the bow. She was made a protector of the High Elf and continued received the bow "Save the Queen". Recently, the realms have been tipping out of balance and overwhelmed with violent and uncharacteristic activities. Ituile volunteered to investigate the situation for Aflheim. On the year of Koryu's birth, she bid goodbye to Aflheim, the realm of the light elves, and went to Midgard. What has your character done in the recent years on Jade while waiting for the rain god's awakening? She resides in Seer?s Hamlet, where works as a botanist and teaches part time for free. Healers from everywhere order potions from her. She keeps her nature as a geomancer a secret. Koryu was once her student. Undine and Dryad (the forest spirit) are her acquaintances. She picked up Cat and stuffed it in her cloak. She was about to gather her arrows when -- Lofn?s ears twitched. ?Heard that?? Travesty tightened her grip on her weapons. ?Behind you.? Eternity lowered her voice. ?Um... Tell me it?s the 'wanted' sort of company.?

"Gwah!" *blink blink* ... Microsleep. No, make that macrosleep... macrosleep... 1:45... 2:19...I've dozed off for half an hour... Note to self: None of Gackt's ballads after 1:00am. Once she came about her brief bout of incoherence, she turned up the volume of her speakers. ...Okay, let's go! Username: eternity Password: ******** Eternity?s silver tresses flashed under the virtual sun. Heads turned towards her. Never the one who wants to attract attention uncalled for, she quickly drew her hood over her hair and started walking briskly. Net Slum was not the place to go looking for attention. Where the crowd thinned, there stood a stone bridge. Where the stone bridge was, there stood tall stone dragons. And perched on a dragon?s chipped nose was a scruffy kitten. Always a sap for cats in distress, she climbed the dragon and grabbed the kitten. ?Come here, you!? *crack* ?Huh?? *CRUMBLE* ?Aaah!!!? *SPLASH!* ?Owee... Cat! Are you all right, Cat?? A cat mewed but it wasn?t Cat. It was the catgirl, Lofn.

Personality: She appears friendly and approachable but never likes to get close to anyone. Earning her respect is not easy but her exceptional loyalty is worth every sweat drop. Isn't sensitive to what is good or bad but does what she thinks is right. Loves queer people. Comparable to a cat, she does things when she wants to... that is, if she wants to. Country: Philippines Bio: She graduated from a school of gifted people and is a consistent achiever in the academics. Can play "Devil's Trill". Manipulated the downfall of a number of school organizations and key administration personnel. Though not a computer whiz, her friend, Makubex, is. Plays RPGs for their story value. Has been watching the World from within since last year. Username: Eternity Gender: Female Age: 17 Appearance: Her silver hair and crimson-colored irises are hard to miss. She has white streaks on her cheeks. Has a tsurumaki woven from rose gold and her most prized possession, Promised Ring. Weapon: Bow type-"The Hope of Breeze"- an unbreakable bow that imparts the user ability to control the strongest of winds but heavily drains the user's HP once this ability is invoked. (sadly, I have yet to play .hack// and wondered why the developers forgot to include bows to its armory so Eternity's using this one as a sort of banned item, imported from another online RPG. ^_~) Type: Wavemaster

I sang a rain song because a friend wanted to hear it. Guess what? It rained. On a particularly hot day. Ah well... cool. I get you. Hip-hop's a style of music, like classical or what have you. Hmm... I think the trend's all about how they package the artist. Concerning the "bling-bling" songs: I think the editors, mixers and all them background people turn the bass up so high that you don't really hear the lyrics, don't you think so? :D "I can see your lips flappin' but I don't hear ya."
