Though I don't agree with some of the stuff you said, I still support other parts. I do see people giving money to those who need it and helping others in trouble (I can't walk down the street without seeing people helping with the Katrina Hurricane victims). I see a strong nation who has pride and though we can be bossy and sometimes air-headed, I still don't think we're cruel. A lot of the time we're there to help. I'm proud of America, even if it has bad qualities. But every country does. And just because certain people in it do wrong things doesn't make everyone in that country the same. I know more civilized and friendly people than cruel. Good work. I'm sure that's an A paper. I hope no one takes offense to it, of course. That'd be downright silly.

The reason it's used is to make it so people looking through the boards can avoid content they wish not to see. Let's say something is rated Mature and, God smite me for saying it, it actually contains mature content (OMG). They see the Mature rating and then know they don't want to look at it. But of course, now that everyone uses the Mature rating, [i]that's[/i] what renders it useless and makes it so people who don't want a mature RPG to feel neglected and unsafe. It's such a pity to see so many wasted storylines through to a Mature setting.

Okay, fortune cookies are fun and games, but they're getting lame. XD I mean, honestly... My latest fortune cookie says, "The fortune you seek is in another cookie." It might as well have said, "We're out of ideas, asshat, come back later!" And of course, there's always the good fun of putting "in bed" at the end of them. One of my favorites for that is "Don't be afraid to take that big step... in bed." or "Your friends are always there for you... in bed." Oh, maybe fortune cookies aren't lame. I wuv 'em :^D

Of course you can always download RPG Maker 2000 or RPG Maker 2003, which are computer game makers and are much better ;) But perhaps I'm just a jerk like that :^D

How embarrassing of me :) And yeah, Jake got the girl, but who knows if she'll be back in the sequel.[/spoiler] I just watched Twelve Monkeys for my first time in my life because it was on TV the night I returned from The Brothers Grimm. What are the chances that they were both Gilliam films. I never knew!

I have never seen any other Terry Gilliam films, so I had no expectations in that area. I was just excited about it being a movie about the Brothers Grimm :) And yes, you should definitely see A Knight's Tale. It's interesting and fun how they interpret some modern things into a medieval setting, like rock songs. [spoiler]And he wasn;t Italian, he was French. He was, after all, in the French army. His name was Cavaldi and I didn't mind him once he changed sides. That kicking of the kitten part was unexpected and funny XD[/spoiler]

He wears an uncanny contraption on his head that's part hat, part... who knows?! [b]Background/Biography:[/b] Rizzo is an outcasted inventor. Born and raised on Cresent Moon Island, he was sent off by his parents to make a name for himself in the world only to figure out his inventions are complete... what's the word? Ah yes, crap. He only has a few inventions that work and most of them aren't of any use, what with magic floating about all the time. He's recognized as a failing inventor and always has been. He dares not return to his parents. But he's still young and believes he can still make it if he really tries. He's been considering mixing his technology and magic together and perhaps his inventions would work. But that's a theory to be tested later. Now he basically is broke. He has no money for his inventions and definitely no money for food. He has to steal what he needs, but is rather sly about it. He is actually good at sneaking around, as clumsy as he is. He has managed to get parts for his creations and food for his table. But people in the village he calls home are getting wary and he might have to leave before they become too suspicious. [b]Personality:[/b] Rizzo is upbeat and jumpy. He's always ready to get around and go. He'll be your good friend, but if you do something bad to him, he may insist on complaining about it for a good long time. Definitely. Everyone is being way to critical on this movie. They're saying it's too confusing and complicated because of all the fairy tales and the one large storyline. If you want a confusing movie, watch the Matrix Trilogy. If you want a really cool fairy tale film of grimmy proportions, watch The Brothers Grimm. And dude, Heath Ledger was awesome in A Knight's Tale. Please say you haven't seen that because then you have and still say he sucks, you must suck the royal suck, milady XD

Not many have seen this movie yet and not many have wanted to because they anticipate its failure, but it was really good. For those of you who hated Van Helsing, this one is okay to watch. For those of you who liked Van Helsing, this one is okay to watch... but it's still different. Basically it takes all the fairy tales that the Grimm brothers actually wrote and weaves one large fairy tale in the movie. It's really cool how they interpret all their tales like Snow White and Hansel & Gretel and everything else. I'm not going to say much here because I'd just be repeating myself. Before I get into anything, I should explain whom the Brothers Grimm are for the primitive people reading this review. If you don?t know who the Brothers Grimm are, they are very famous storywriters. You may not know their name, but I?m very sure you know one or two of their tales. They?re the creators of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, The Gingerbread Man, and many other unusual or dark fairy tales. And yes, these are real men. You?d be surprised how many times I?ve been asked that. Of course, they still keep it nice and dark, just as the Grimm brothers intended. Muhahahaha! Anywho, allow me to give a quick idea of what the movie is about. Let?s see? where to begin? ah, yes? But the thing is, it?s not actually about their lives. The movie is about how Jake and Will are two con artists, who go from village to village to perform fake exorcisms and to dispose of unwanted monsters when in reality they are making everything up. Though this is so, they get handsome payments for their services. Well, reality catches up with them when they?re captured by the French and sentenced to death for their crimes of false monster-killing. That is, unless they travel to a small town to find the missing children that keep disappearing into the enchanted woods. But this mission is far different than any of their cons because the forest is really enchanted, there are actual fairy tale creatures, and for once, the villain behind it all isn?t one of their friends dressed as a witch with a mask on. It?s delightful to see how they transfer from being smug with their criminal activities to having to face real dangers in the enchanted woods. You?ll realize they aren?t so brave anymore. One thing I was in fear of before I saw the movie is that it?d turn out to be like [b]Van Helsing.[/b] I liked [b]Van Helsing[/b], but that movie seemed rushed or something? I can?t put my finger on it, but it just made it so I didn?t like it as much. I?ve never seen him play someone like Jake Grimm before and I wasn?t sure how it?d turn out. Jake is actually the one more into the fairy tale stuff, unlike his brother Will who thinks it?s all just a big money-maker and isn?t real. Jake has studied it all his life, ever since the incident when they were young (watch the movie and you?ll see what incident it is at the beginning. It?s really quite ingenious), and this whole new world they see when they visit this small town totally unfolds to the two brothers. Like I said, Will is the one who has his head on his shoulders and is more together. He?s the brains of the outfit when it comes to smooth-talking and pulling things off. Jake is good at contraptions and making their false fairy tale mumbo-jumbo believable. Oh, did I mention Will is a ladies? man? Makes sense since good ole Matt Damon plays him. His character?s always after the ladies while Jake just wants to find love. Oh yes, and the brothers sometimes don't get along too well for various reasons. There?s a queen, a wolf, a very hairy man with an axe, heck! it?s complete madness! And it just gets better because the creators of this movie just get more brilliant. They interpret (as I expected) the tales the Grimm Brothers wrote into the movie. So you may recognize a few familiar faces here and there, especially the kids being kidnapped. Yesterday before I went to the movie, I visited my grandma and told her I was going to see it. She?d never heard of it, but was aware of who the Brothers Grimm were. Well, I explained the plot to her and the first thing she asks me is, ?Is it going to be cruel?? [center][img]http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/2113/grimmpic81bw.jpg[/img][/center] Hah, no, not really. After watching it, I hardly saw any gore. But they also didn't intend to make the movie for kids. Don?t get me wrong, there is fantasy violence in there and some wicked action scenes in the enchanted forest, but it?s pretty safe to watch. Even the faint at heart would chuckle at the silly antics (which actually aren?t silly, I exaggerate). So basically I?m saying, those who came for action and suspense, there is some. For those who came for fairy tale fun, there?s plenty. For those who came for Arnold with Terminator robot suit, you get Heath Ledger and Matt Damon in some crappily homemade armor that?s not magical, but is pretty damn shiny. Sadly, my dad didn?t like a certain French character named Cavaldi (Peter Stormare). It wasn?t that he?s French, but the fact that he was a pain in the *** the whole movie, which isn?t far from the truth. You?ll understand when you see the movie. It?s definitely not an award-winning score, but it served its purpose well. The graphics and artwork and such were delicious. Some of the styles were particularly bizarre and morbid, almost Tim Burton-esque and if you know, you score a trillion brownie points just for that. The credits even looked Tim Burton (you?d have to see them to understand what I mean there). They really outdid themselves in architecture in this film from the tutor-style houses in the villages to the run-down shacks the folks outside the enchanted forest live in. And not just the buildings and set design, the costumes were wonderful. As I said before, Jake and Will have armor they made themselves that they told people was mystical. It may look cheap, but the costume design did a great job making it that way. Gotta appreciate the little things here. I especially liked the ?Highwayman? look Will and Jake had when entering the village at the start of the movie. Those coats and such were really cool. While the designs for costumes and sets and such were kept to the time it took place in, they still threw in their own little touches (for example, the Grimm Brothers? ?technology? they used to capture witches and such). Oh, well, I'm into several things like pirates and gangsters and westerns, but only if done right. Many RPGs these days seem like they don't have any effort behind them. No offense to people, of course. I have a taste for the more creative and artistic style. Of course, I have my RPG up for signing up right now called [b]Dustero Town[/b] and that's a western and I wouldn't say it's very artistic. Just fun to do :)

Apparently OB has taken a more adult turn in their RPGs. While we used to be innocent back in earlier versions, the come of the "Rating System" has made people feel the need to make their RPGs "Mature" for language, sexual content, and massive amounts of violence. Why? For various reasons, but usually they think it attracts the attention needed, even if the RPG doesn't call for two of the characters to have sexual intercourse during a scene. It just sounds better that why =/ Well, not really. So please, when coming back, don't abuse the Rating System XD Basically you'll find a lot of monster-killing, vampire-slaying, let's save the apocalyptic world kind of roleplays. That or romance ones, which I don't pay attention to, so I can't say much about them. But yeah, that's my two bits.

He can't help but to love the dames. And lucky for him, he's quite the looker. Bo is dashing with long blonde hair that reaches low, but not quite to his shoulders. He's a height of 6'2" and has a decent build (just to keep the ladies comin' back for more!). His normal outfit on the streets is a white shirt with dusty brown pants and black boots complete with a long black trench coat and black cowboy hat, but if he's on duty (which would be checking out the merchandise at the local brothel house) he'll dress in a nice suit (he won't say where he gets them from), which are usually white with a black bowtie and black shoes. He's a very classy man if he needs to be, but usually he can be a downright idiotic pig. [b]Personality:[/b] Did we say Bo was a ladies' man? He hits on any girl that's of legal age and, man, does he lay it down. He's charming, he knows what to say usually (at least, to get the dumb ones mostly), and with his sense of humor, how can he go wrong? Easily. He has a big mouth that gets him in trouble and he sometimes takes things a little too far. He's very outgoing and thinks he can get out of any sticky situation, but chances are, he'll just make matters worse. He's better off just being tied to a bed somewhere and left alone until he learns the meaning of silence and shuts the hell up. He does have a few friends around town, but just the ones he knows the business of very well... like the brothel house and bar. [b]Occupation:[/b] Is local playboy a profession? Basically, all he does is go to brothel houses for ladies and drinks at bars and has a good time at parties. He does work for a rancher named Vixon who he calls Ol' Vix, but he's so dag-gum lazy he doesn't do a lick of work around the horses. Vixon will be lucky he gets Bo to do anything. It's a wonder why he lets Bo live with him. Oh yeah, because Bo's too wild that he'd die without Vixon. Vixon may be in his 50's, but he knows how to take care of the two of them. Bo gambles too, which is never a good thing. [b]Hobbies:[/b] Lovin' the women and drinkin' and partyin'. He does love to play cards... and isn't bad at it neither. [b]Weapons/Possessions:[/b] He has a pistol, but doesn't use it. He's not that kind of guy. He only fires one gun and that's in the bedroom. He always carries a deck of cards, though. He's a vivid gambler. [b]Other Information:[/b] Despite how good he is in bed, he's god-awful out on the battlefield. If he's threatened at gunpoint, chances are he might panic. If he thinks of a "brilliant plan to get him out of it," chances are things are just gonna get even more ugly. He's not great with a pistol despite the fact that he has one. He won't use it, though and there's really no point in him having it. If he was in a situation to save someone, he'd cause more deaths than the bandits would. He lives with his old friend Roy Vixon, who just goes by the name of Vixon or Ol' Vix. Roy is in his 50's, but has known Bo since he was thieving back in his young teen years in another town. He took Bo in and they've been friends since. Vixon is the kind of guy you think wise; a real old fashion cowboy who finally decided to settle down and become a rancher. Which is true. Him and Bo used to go on great adventures until Vixon broke a hip and decided it was time to put the old horse down, so to speak. Bo wasn't too thrilled with settling in Dustero, but he had no choice because Vixon would make sure he stayed out of trouble and kept him near. But Bo had a wild heart and the adventure in him was still not through. Bo was a grown man now of twenty-four and Vixon can't do anything about it. He wasn't Bo's father anyways. If Bo wanted to go out and make a life for himself, so be it, but Roy never said he'd like it. But Bo stayed with Vixon, probably as payment for taking him in. He can't just leave the old feller to die by himself. Vixon was always coughing like he was sick. Instead, Bo lived in the house in Dustero with Roy. Though he didn't do much work around the ranch (which was located on the outside border of town), he did bring in some money by gambling or other sorts. But we never said his gambling didn't lose them money either. Those were the harder times and with Bo constantly off with women, it didn't make things simpler for the two. But Vixon has learned to live with Bo's wild heart and Bo has learned to live under Roy's more disciplined lifestyle. The two are the right pair. [b]EDIT:[/b] Yeah, sure, someone can play as Roy Vixon if they want... that is, if they want to be a fifty-something year old rancher who's a retired cowboy and has to discipline Bo every now and again. He sounds cool ;)

It?s jus? that good. Makes sense too. Dustero is a very popular and prosperous settlement. People come to it because it?s prosperous and it?s prosperous because people come to it. Makes you think how it got popular in the first place. It was probably the good land for growin? food and raisin? cattle and horses. Soon Dustero expanded into something greater. It grew to have shops and saloons and brothel houses and ranches of sorts. Their banks never went bankrupt, which was common to happen back in them days. But you can?t have a cow and milk it too? not sure why. But anyways, since these banks were filled with the riches and money of its citizens, it became a notorious hotspot for bandits and outlaws. Bank robbers and scoundrels of all sorts came from all over to get their greedy hands on a piece of Dustero?s loot. The Sheriff wasn?t able to keep a steady hold on the crime and soon Dustero looked like it was going to reach its end. The once prosperous and beautiful town of Dustero became nothing but a pit of despair and? dare I say? bankruptcy. Yesiree, hard times were hittin? Dustero. That is, until more able-bodied citizens arrived to help protect Dustero against the outlaws and ruffians. They supplied the banks with loot and their muscle for protection. There grew to be guards that worked for the Sheriff so he was no longer alone on the job. These new residents were the Saviors of Dustero and were forever thanked in gold plagues in Town Hall. But just because Dustero has new reinforcements doesn?t mean the vice stopped. Crime doesn?t quit so easily, though it should. Bandits still attack, bank robbers still embezzle, and scoundrels still? uhh? do what scoundrels do. Dustero has a long way to go before it?s back to how it used to be. People no longer flock to it, but it?s slowly gaining back its business? and soon, its prosperity. [center]------[/center] Alright, folks, you now know what?s going on. This RPG revolves around the western town of Dustero. This RPG?s setting is back in 1910 in Western USA. Some of you may recall my past RPGs like this one (Black Haven, Black Haven 2, Ermwell Inn), but for those of you who don?t, here?s the low-down. You play as a citizen of Dustero. You don?t have to fight against bandits; you can leave that to the Sheriff and his forces if you?d like. But you will take up an occupation and live a life like everyone else. I will say when the new day starts and when the day ends, so time will be a factor in this. There is no preference to how long days last, but I?ll give fair warning to what time of day it is and if we?re nearing the end of the day. When creating your character, you must keep the idea of the Wild West in mind. I?m not too picky about sign ups this time and have no preference to how many people join (the more, the merrier), but if your sign up does not qualify, you will not be accepted. But you will have as many tries to get in as you?d like, for the sign ups are open as long as the RPG is running. Before I start the RPG, I will await enough sign ups and then start it. After the RPG is started, you may still sign up and gain entry, but [b]you MUST wait for me to allow you in the RPG before you can start![/b] Make sure you spell check and read through your sign up for any errors. That might count against you if it?s really poor writing. Also, your character may be married if you?d like, but it?s not a requirement. If you make a deal with a fellow roleplayer in this game that your two characters are married, then so be it. Or your character can be married to an NPC, in which case, you will be playing more than character. NPCs are the only time you can play more than one character, but you may not base your posts on the NPC. You can just work with NPCs like you do in any other RPG. My dad won't buy me any of the new Star Wars movies because he's awaiting them to come out in a trilogy boxset just like episodes 4-6 did when they came to DvD. I've taken college classes already (though I'm only going to be a senior in High School this year) and I must say that the college I've gone to for short classes isn't much different than a high school. Oh yeah, we thought up several ones that weren't used, especially in the character category. Characters can be so cliche :^D Heh. And someone tried to make an RM2K3 game a stand-alone and it didn't work. No surprise there... the reason you need RM2K3 to run it is because RM2K3 itself has files that the game needs and can't be extracted from the program. That and RM2K3 has the RTP... unless you want to make your game even larger by adding all RTP to it... which isn't worth the trouble, trust me.
