Heck. I wanted to see it the day it came out. Then it was shoved back 'cause my mum wouldn't let me go. I was suppose to go on Saturday. Couldn't go again. Now I'm going today XD Hopefully... But I've been waiting for this movie for almost a half a year. Plus, it has Viggo (played Aragorn in LOTR) in it so I was like "Sweet, dude!" Those are some things you could describe Pippin by. As for his outfit, he's one to wear unusual garments. Anything he can find, really. What he currently wears is a raggedy black sweatshirt, dirty khaki pants (mud and stains make it almost not look it's normal tanned color), black boots that are a bit too big for him, brown biker gloves, shades, and lastly, a long dark cloak with a hood. The cloak was easily taken off a person he found on the streets. He wasn't sure if they were alive or not. [b]Personality-[/b] What would your personality be like if you were him and barely making a living? He has a dark and monotonous soul and a similar social life, one he often doesn't believe in sharing. He can be quiet, but he usually chooses to be loud. He gets himself into all sorts of trouble and therefore, puts him in an even deeper hole. [b]Power/Control-[/b] Lightning, Dark (as in curses/hexes), Fire [b]Animal Form-[/b] Fox [b]Group-[/b] Outskirts [b]Bio-[/b] Life has been hard for Pippin. Who was his parents? Who were those men that kept giving him food when he was younger? As far as he can tell, he's been scrounging off the streets and other uncanny places for as long as he can remember. Survival was in his blood, obviously, and he's kept to himself being a very skilled worker. His mind is often troubled by thoughts he never knew he would think. Perhaps they aren't his own. He's wondered that sometimes. Naturally, even without parents or any true life in the real world, he kept to his studies. He went to school and made the few friends he still hangs out with today. The ones that didn't believe he was some bum. He had places to go nowadays. He kept clean. He was still intelligent. He was just very mischievious and adventurous. He tries to keep his standards high and has been told that he could go far in life, but most told him to forget all hopes and dreams. Introductions. Your character doesn?t know the tournament has started yet. They?re just going through the docks to get to the ship that?ll take them to what they think is round 1. This IS round 1! Read below to get a better idea of the rules and objectives.[/indent] [indent][size=1][b]:::Objective: Round I[/b][/indent] Alright, the idea of round one is to go out there and give your character an introduction to the tournament. The setting is the docks near Roland Corp. and you are walking through the cheering crowd to get to the boat. Now, there is a path where the competitors such as yourself walk along, but on either side of the path are people cheering for YOU! They are fans who will be watching Oakenot Tournament! Oakenot will be on live TV, but don?t shun to make yourself look good. So pretty much, make your character?s introduction about how they react to the screaming fans, making it to the ship, and so forth. You may post you got on the ship, but do not post anything after that. What goes on on the ship is totally different. [indent][b]:::How to Win the Round[/b][/indent] To get the Immortality or just plain do well in this round is post an interesting and nicely done introduction. Follow the rules I laid out below for the round. [indent][b]:::Rules: Round I[/b][/indent] The rules for this round are as followed: [I]- Be sure to make your character act like how I described them. That?s a big part. - Don?t Godmod (example: Roland picked up the ship and chucked it over Roland Corp.) - Only post one post in this round. These certain legends tell of Mortis burying his lost and forgotten treasure on an island far and deep within the Dark Eye of the Ocean, a desolate and dangerous place in the seas. Just like the legends, the treasure has faded from the hearts of treasure hunters. Those who try to find Gandler?s treasure only perish on their way through the Dark Eye of the Ocean. Or is that just legend as well?[/I] Captain William Bane seems to think so. Once he told his crew of his idea to hunt down Gandler?s treasure, he was unfortunately mutinied. Well, you couldn?t say as much as mutinied. You could more or less say abandoned. Bane kept the ship and everything else but the crew. They got up and left him when he stopped for a drink on the island of Santa Cotassa. When he returned to his ship, they were gone with all their possessions. All his loot was gone as well. He considered himself lucky they didn?t give him the black spot or worse, just plain left him to die on a deserted island, but his lust for Gandler?s treasure was more powerful than ever. He needed to quench this shameful thirst. He needed to get his ship and sail through the legendary Dark Eye of the Ocean to that small island baring the booty. The deal with the Dark Eye of the Ocean is people say lots of strange things happen there. It?s a huge part of the ocean where sea dragons live, supposedly. Other odd encounters occur as well from Sirens singing to uncontrollably bizarre weather changes. Of course, Bane doesn?t believe in such nonsense. But first, he needed a crew. At this time, he had sailed the little ways from Santa Cotassa to another island in the region known as Blackhethy. Blackhethy was filled with grade A pirates and other loons to boot. It was the perfect place to stack up on supplies and men. Will luckily had some loot stashed away his crew didn?t get their grummy hands on and therefore, he was able to get [I]some[/I] things for the voyage. The rest would have to come from the crew. But what his newly-appointed crew wouldn?t know is that he plans on deserting them on the island and escaping with the gold himself. How would he pirate a ship by himself? He?d think about that one. Possibly take one or two men with him, but abandon the rest. Yeah, he?s a bad person, obviously. A real cut-throat pirate. But no one must know! So when choosing your occupation, go for a medic or a carpenter. Make even a cartographer (person who makes maps). Be creative, but keep it simple. Yes, that be all you need to get yourself into this. You don?t need long descriptions for anything in there (you can with occupation if you wish. If I see your writing skills are well done, then you?d most likely get in). But some rules for in the RPG will be no one knows about Bane?s plan of mutiny, no God-Modding, and other such things. Ever since his young age, he was abandoned by the rest of his wild dragon clan and he was forced to raise himself. The constant lonliness brought him to the pit of despair where he found sanity in the bowls of death. Evil's hands crushed his spine and controlled his mind until he was brought to utter madness. Over the hundreds of years he lived, he slowly became more darker until all love was spilled out like blood on stone, if there was any love left to spill. After finally leaving his home after hundreds of years, he began his slaughtering; huge massacres and mass assasinations of all sorts of races occured creating a fear across the land and the name that was dared not to be spoken lightly: Sordash the Furious. He was ghastly in the face and pugnacious in character. One would find themselves staring into the eyes of death itself when looking through the face of Sordash. Though, if people are alive to tell such stories of Sordash and to pass on his dreadful tales of woe and pain, perhaps he's not completely evil if he spared some. He has a slender figure and walks around with a cane to only further show his importance. His cigars are made by the finest and he smokes them to show off even more. He wears black business suits and has a little gotee. His classiness only goes on further by his personality. [b]Personality:[/b] Speaking of personality, he has a curious one. When his nose isn't in papers on business, it's in a room with a lady. He loves women and has a way of getting them to do what he wants. He seems to have the same effect in business too, but let's not go there. His dashing good looks get him only further, but his style and grace are what top everything off. He persuades like a saint, but screws people over like the devil. He makes his company billions of dollars a year and then some for others. He's easily liked, but also easily hated. He has many enemies and slowly fades himself out. He goes around on "business trips," but no one knows where. A bit a suspicious, in many people's opinions. It can happen where you get a couple in a row or maybe even get one in all the rounds, but that?s highly unlikely. The first round of the tournament is all about post quality, just so we can weed out the weakest link right off the bat (no, I didn?t steal that line from the show). Do your best all the time![/I][/size] [b]:::Little Information Tidbits[/b] [size=1][I]Some things you may wanna know are listed here including what Immortalities are.[/I] -[b]Immortalities:[/b] These little guys are awarded to one person each round for best anything. If they did the best in my opinion, by golly, they?ll get it! What the Immortality does is it doesn?t allow a person to be voted off by the other people. So if you have an immortality, then you?re safe for that round. Try to do your best and chances are you?ll get one. -[b]Voting:[/b] Ah yes. The little deal that determines EVERYTHING almost. At the end of each round, competitors will PM me their vote for who should be booted out of the tournament. Yes, this part is boring and takes a great deal of time, but it must be done. It?d be shorter if the people who sign up are dedicated. I don?t wanna have to PM people to get them to vote. Especially if it leads to them dropping out. Even one person dropping out messes everything up. Anyways, whoever gets the most votes is sadly kicked out of the rest of the tournament. Only one may be booted. In case of a tie, I will use a special randomizing website to deal who will be kicked. Sorry, but that?s how it must be, partner. If I had another voting, it?d just take too much time. Also recall that Immortals cannot be voted off. -[b]Information Packets:[/b] During the event that I have a bit of roleplaying involved in a round (such as I strand all the competitors on a deserted island with no provisions aside from a canteen of sand), I will post every now and then a little ?Information Packet.? The packet will consist of the time of day, the weather at the current time, what day it is, any dangers or happy things, etc. These reports will be random, but there are usually two to three each day at a minimum. The end of a day in the roleplaying rounds are determined by me as well as the mornings and such. Here?s a draft of what one may look like: [b]WARNING:[/b] As mentioned above, I?m the one who tells of natural events. If it?s gonna rain, I?m the one who says it. I tell you when it?s dawn, afternoon, morning, evening, dusk, night, whatever. You are not allowed to do such things. I will also report in my Information Packets if wild animals or something are roaming the area. Feel free to be attacked by animals I didn?t mention. Just don?t go hog wild. Any big changes will be reported by me. [b]Types of Events:[/b] Events in rounds will vary. I could make you roleplay as said previously, I could ask trivia, I could even make you solve a visual puzzle. You may never know until that round. Except for the first round. HA![/size] [b]:::Some Big Bad Rules[/b] [size=1][I]Before signing up, I advise you all to have a gander at this little piece of work. It?ll explain a lot of what will be happening, rules you must follow, and what you?re getting yourself into. First off, let?s talk rules. When signing up, you?ll choose a character from the twelve present below. The last person to signup will naturally get the last character. You cannot choose a character that?s already been chosen. The first twelve to sign up are in the contest. This is not a screening RPG where I choose which ones get in. This is where it gets a bit interesting to who actually does well. But I?ll explain more on that in a second. First, when you choose a character, you?ll note they have little descriptions with them. This is apart of the challenge in this RPG. To be able to roleplay. You must be able to become the character you chose and have him act in the way described. It?s against the rules to change their style. Make sure to choose one you?d like (unless you get slim pickings). I?m sorry, but that?s how it?s gonna be. People may just vote you off if you don?t roleplay to your character. Another rule is that when voting, you must PM Dragon Warrior. Make sure the PM subject is called ?Oakenot Vote? and then inside the PM, all you simply must put is the person?s name you want to be voted off. Simple as that. When signing up, it?s EXTREMELY important that you know that you can dedicate yourself to this contest. Even if one person drops out, it messes up the whole thing. It?s a fragile concept and we cannot afford to lose contestants. So think about it before you signup. If you aren?t posting for a long time in the RPG, I?ll be forced to PM you. Same if you haven?t voted and it?s been days or something. So I can only say this a bajillion times: only dedicated players! During the case of a round where you must roleplay and survive in the wilderness or whatnot, be sure not to overstep the boundaries explained earlier.
