Im not even gonna start naming things! LOL :rotflmao:
Then don't post in this thread. Sorry to be brusque, Erriku, but that's about as spammy as it gets. If you don't want to post in the thread, that's fine. It's your prerogative. But there's no need to waste your time on posting to tell us that you don't want to post.

"I should have known I couldn't stop you showing off," called Renji over the roaring of the great dragon. "Sixth Squad recruits! Morning practice is over! To your duties!" Much as Gin had promised to be careful, Renji knew he'd get lost in the battle and cut loose without meaning to. It wouldn't be his fault, exactly, but someone would still get hurt, and so it was better to have an empty training ground for this particular spar. "Since you're so set on taking this to extremes, I'm gonna have to keep watch and reign you in," Renji informed the combatants, nimbly backflipping up onto one of the pillars surrounding the training ground. "C'mon," protested the first squad captain. "Can't you let us have just a little fun?" "Not if it means you demolishing Soul Society," winked Renji. The dragon seemed to be checking him out, but he ignored it. It was an extension of Gin's Zanpakutoh, and therefore merely a manifestation of his reiatsu, his spirit force. It couldn't do a thing without Gin willing it to. "Right, combatants! I'm your referee, and I reserve the right to spank your behinds if this fight gets out of hand! And I know you ignored me last time, but no, and this time I mean no, use of Bankai. Understood? "Fight!"

Welcome to OtakuBoards, deathsangel101 and Kamibutterfly. Just to let you know, we like to keep pretty high standards of grammar, punctuation, etc. here on the Boards. Sentences with no full stops, and six-word posts with an overabundance of smileys, are likely to be classed as spam. I'd take a quick scan over the Rules and FAQ (both located on the left sidebar), then if you have any more problems or queries, fire off a private message at either myself or Panda. I hope you both enjoy your stay.

Please don't resurrect old threads! By 'old' I basically mean stuff that's been shunted off page one of the Lounge. If you think there's still some life in the topic, feel free to start a new thread and get some fresh discussion. Thread closed.

Once, Renji might have been concerned by his fukutaicho's curt reply and hasty exit, but over time he'd come to know her better than anyone. He could tell, as he watched her walk elegantly away down the corridor, that she was, as ever, putting her reputation first; it wouldn't do for the more junior members of 6th Squad in the corridor to see their superiors displaying weakness. He chuckled a little as the door slid shut behind her. "Ah, Nozomi-chan ... you are allowed out of your shell sometimes ..." The Court of Pure Souls was beginning to resound with the clack of bokken on bokken, as the elite members of the thirteen Court Guardian squads began the day with vigorous training. With no pressing matters weighing on his schedule, Renji ambled over to the training ground his squad shared with squads one through five. Each squad had a private dojo, but that was for far more intensive, private training than morning exercise. Renji grimaced, remembering the gruelling programme he'd put himself through in order to attain bankai. Ssssshhhhhhhh... There was no mistaking the sound of steel amongst the deadened wooden sounds of training weaponry. Someone in the training ground had drawn their Zanpakutoh. Is he here? Renji broke into a run. The day seemed peaceful, and Koroga-taicho, captain of 1st squad, had assured his colleagues that the mysterious Hollow-Faced Shinigami couldn't enter the Court without detection. But there were members of Renji's own squad in the training ground, new, junior members, and he was damned if he was going to take chances with their lives. Zabimaru was still on its ceremonial stand in his room. There had been no order for Zanpakutoh to be worn constantly, despite the threat. Renji didn't care. He bounded round the corner into the broad, sand-floored square to see Koroga-taicho and his lieutenant, Miyami Kane, squaring off. He let out his breath and relaxed. This wasn't unknown for Gin. "Abarai-taicho! Care to observe?" called Gin cheerfully. "As long as you keep it clean! I know what you're like, Koroga-taicho-sama. No getting carried away and releasing in front of my new recruits! I don't want them getting hurt!"
ummmmmmmmmmm idk one at the time but CC could tell ya
First of all, it took a ridiculous amount of time to work out what you just said, Shinobi's angel. Please improve on your post quality; grammar, punctuation and real words aren't all that difficult to use. Secondly, if you don't know any bad or unfunny pickup lines (I'm assuming here that 'idk' is 'I don't know'...?), then why are you even posting in this thread?
Cheerleader!!!!!! Nuff Said
I'm afraid that by our standards that isn't enough said, Osaka. We like a bit more detail in posts here. Check out the Rules and FAQ (on the sidebar to the left), take some other people's posts as examples, and keep posting! Any problems or queries, try messaging me or one of the other moderators. I've never been massively sporty, but I do enjoy a game of softball as long as enough people play to make it interesting (and not impossible to field...). I also practise Shintaido Bo-jutsu, a recently invented non-aggressive martial/defensive art. That's my weekly strenuous exercise, heh.

Welcome to OtakuBoards, Heretic_2000. Yes, it would be a good plan for you to use punctuation a bit more. It doesn't hurt to make your posts easier to read, and you'll get your point across a lot more effectively. Any more problems? Look at the Rules and FAQ (both on the left sidebar) or private message me, or one of the other moderators. Ryo, please don't play Mod. You'll make me feel superfluous, lol.

Sorry, but I'm closing this thread. The responses thus far have been too short, and I honestly can't see it getting any deeper or more involved. Thread closed.

I'll second the request for either a rules amendment or an O Lounge Sticky. For some reason there's been a massive increase in intro threads recently, and I ended up embarrassing myself by saying 'you'll see in the rules that we don't allow intro threads', only to re-read said rules and discover that they weren't mentioned. :animeswea

Telekinesis..is it real or just a big fake?

I'm closing this thread for the following reasons. 1. It's really old. Please don't resurrect long-dead threads. If you feel you have something relevant to say about a topic in an old thread (old being defined as 'not on the first page of the Lounge'), the create a new thread and start the discussion anew. Think about it, you're making comebacks to someone who last posted on the subject in 2003! 2. Multiple posting. ih8pepsi, if you have something new to add after posting, just hit the 'EDIT' button in your post's bottom-right corner. That's what it's there for. Thread closed. -
Welcome to OtakuBoards, CajunBaby86 and dontmakemeBLU. If you cast your eyes quickly over our Rules and FAQ (which, by the way, you're assumed to have read when you start posting) you'll notice that we don't actually allow introduction threads here. They clog up the Lounge due to the large number of new members we get every day. Besides, we'd all much rather get to know you through your posting, so find a thread that interests you and jump straight in! If either of you have any queries or problems not covered in the Rules or FAQ, feel free to send a private message to me or one of the other moderators. Hope you enjoy your stay. Thread closed.

Welcome to OtakuBoards, magikpiggy. I wonder if you could take the time to just make your posts a little more comprehensible when you type? At the moment, with massively long sentences and abbreviated spellings like 'y', your post is kind of an assault on the eyes :animeswea The easiest thing to do would be to simply separate into paragraphs. They make what you're saying easier to read, and when it's easier to read people won't misunderstand you or gloss over your post completely. Any other queries or problems? Try reading our Rules and FAQ, and failing that, fire off a private message to me or one of the other moderators. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Welcome to OtakuBoards, GreatBird. Just to let you know that we demand a fairly high standard of post quality here, and unpunctuated one-liners are generally considered spam. It doesn't take much effort to add some substance to your posts, so I'm sure you can manage it - hope you enjoy your stay here. If you have any queries or problems, don't hesitate to private message me or one of the other moderators.

Welcome to OtakuBoards, KORN. Please lay off the CAPSLOCK in future. Typing in full caps is equivalent to shouting in people's faces and it's considered just as rude. Welcome to OtakuBoards, King Ex. It might be an idea to work on your punctuation a little - your whole post is a great big run-on sentence and it doesn't make for good readability. You'll find you can get your point across to people better if they can understand what you mean, lol. This goes for you too, KORN. I hope both of you enjoy you stay here at OB. If you have any queries or problems, don't hesitate to private message me or one of the other moderators.
...Perhaps you should reread your original post... ...I underlined what you need to pay attention to.
All right Chaos, you've officially overtaken Darker Alucard in the insensitivity stakes. As I stated before, I have no problem with you discussing the war as long as you begin a new thread. Any more nitpicking and political rantage and I'm going to have to consider closing this thread. (Zhara, I'm sorry your thread's been overrun by all this. In hindsight perhaps 'The war in Iraq' wasn't the most helpful title - I can change it for you if you like. Fire me off a PM.) So let's keep this friendly from now on, shall we, people? .:EDIT:. I've renamed the thread as per your request, Zhara. Hopefully less people will misunderstand the purpose of the thread.

Where the Met Police Commissioner has been referring to the incidents as 'possibly a coordinated attack' all morning, Tony Blair just made statement from Gleneagles (the G8 summit) explicitly calling them terrorist attacks. He's coming down to London for the day, and his team will hold his place in the summit until he returns this evening. As far a BBC News 24 knows, five tube trains and a double-decker bus were hit. I think I heard that the police are searching other trains and buses for unexploded devices.

Can we try not to turn a comforting thread into a flame war, please? Darker Alucard, however much truth there is in your statements (and from what I've heard, there is at least some in there) about Bin Laden etc., bringing all that up in this thread isn't wholly appropriate. Zhara started this thread looking for support and comfort over her father's posting to Afghanistan, and your crowbarring in political rantage doesn't help a massive load :animeswea

Obviously, since I'm not a member of NASA, I don't know what the actual outcome was, but I did hear on the news yesterday morning that they successfully impacted on the comet. Everything went to plan, so no need to worry about Armageddon or Deep Impact happening in real life, RioLaskand :animesigh

A fairly witty, but still pretty awful, chat-up line I learned the other day: "If sexy were people, then you'd be China." Hey, whaddya know, you actually have to think about that one. Cheers Stu-sensei. Then there are the classics that I'm surprised no one's mentioned yet: "If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?" "I've forgotten my number, can I have yours instead?" I've actually heard someone use that last one. I laughed so hard...

Name: Abarai Renji Gender: Male Rank: 6th Squad Captain Appearance: see attachment. Under the visor he has elaborate facial tatoos, and fairly obviously, he wears Shinigami robes. Zanpakutoh Appearance: Renji's sword is, at first glance, a fairly standard Zanpakutoh. On closer inspection, it's possible to make out a stylised lightning-bolt decoration on the tsuba. Name: Zabimaru (Snaketail) Shikai Call-Out: "Hoeru, Zabimaru!" (meaning 'Howl') Shikai Appearance: Shikai Zabimaru is fearsome. On transformation, the sword becomes longer and wider, tapering slightly towards the hilt and ending in a squared-off head. Along the blade edge is a series of fang-like sawteeth designed to painfully rip through flesh. Shikai Power: What is really awe-inspiring about Shikai Zabimaru is that it isn't, in fact, still a sword; the blade separates into seven segments, each with a 'fang', and held together with flexible sections of an unknown, elastic material. Renji handles Shikai Zabimaru like a whip, although he can only make a maximum of three attacks before returning the sword to its rigid state. Bankai: All of Soul Society knows Renji has achieved Bankai; he wouldn't be allowed to attain Captain rank without it. However, he prefers not to use it, and no enemy he has faced has been worthy of Zabimaru's second release. The details of Abarai-taicho's bankai remain a mystery to all but his closest confederates. Personality: Having made it all the way from the mean streets of 38th-District Rukongai to Captain of the Court's 6th Squad, Renji is a strong and powerful fighter, and he knows it well. He can be arrogant at times, and in particularly difficult situations he has been known to act impulsively, relying on his strength with no thought to strategy. However, he has a rough charisma, and is well-liked amongst the members of the Court Guardian Squads. Character Snippit Renji crouched low as the spider-legged Hollow charged him, its mask locked in a rigid, fanged snarl. He placed his right hand on Zabimaru's hilt and stood his ground, as if futilely trying to outstare the unblinking eyes of the skull-like face. The arachnid spirit slung its body low, intending to crush the Shinigami into the ground with a scuttling headbutt. As the creature drew within a few feet of him, a slight grin tugged at the corner of Renji's mouth. With a bellow, the Hollow smashed its face into the concrete. It wriggled a moment, seeming confused; Renji was now several feet to its left, with Zabimaru still sheathed. One of the jointed, insectile legs quivered as the creature tried to free itself, but as it shifted its weight, the mask fell neatly into two pieces and its body began to dissolve into the ether, its soul heading straight for Soul Society. Renji wondered briefly whether he could ever master the draw-cut-sheathe technique as well as his former taicho, Kuchiki Byakuya, before dismissing the thought. "Of course I could, with enough training," he told himself out loud, putting all thoughts of Kuchiki-taicho out of his mind. Renji drew Zabimaru once more, pointing him at thin air straight ahead. "Unlock."

Welcome to OtakuBoards, B-Storm. As Bloodseeker's already pointed out, introduction threads are spam here. You may want to take a look-see at our Rules and FAQ. We'd rather get to know you through your posting style than through an introduction like this one. If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to private message me or one of the other moderators. We're here to help. Bloodseeker, there's no need for you to post telling people their threads are going to get closed. Just leave the thread alone and wait for us to notice it, or hit the Report button. Talking with Kaze about Japan was beginning to get Kyo down. As she reminisced about what she could remember of the place before the Gears razed it, he found himself staring vacantly into his glass, watching the way the air currents in the busy bar rippled the golden liquid. "How's about this. We have a little fight..." Uh oh, thought Kyo, recognising the voice of the singer, now slurred with drink. Reflected in his drink he saw two sickle blades begin to buzz through the air. I don't think anyone really fancies a bar brawl while we're on shore leave. "Kaze, duck," he suggested. She gave him a funny look but slid lithely off her bar stool into a martial artist's crouch on the floor. A large bladed hook zipped through the air where she had been, swinging around behind Kyo; he flicked the chain with his wrist and the hook changed course, angling up, to bury itself in the ceiling, catching one of the sickle blades in mid-flight and pinning it in place. Kyo turned to face the dangerous drunkard and grinned at him, friendly. "Some of us are just trying to relax and have a drink," he told the man mildly. The Brit was still holding his weapon, staring bemusedly at the blades buried in the Fallen Angel's ceiling. Kyo tugged at his own chain, releasing the hook, and coiled it at his side where the 'safe' end was clipped to his belt. The singer caught the falling sickle blade with a deftness Kyo hadn't thought him capable of in his state. "Shall we just try and keep the bar friendly tonight?" The blonde man stared at him. [OOC: take Kyo's advice and calm down, or get angry and start a bar brawl. Whatever reaction is fine, I just wanted some action.]
