I actually got my PS1 in order to play FFVII and FFVIII. :animesmil How's Vagrant Story - maybe I'll check it out.[/FONT']
Info on the game is easy to find. I'll help you out though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vagrant_story I loved everything about this game. I think I might play it tonight, lol.
I am way excited for XII, mainly because, I cant remember lol if its the director, or producer is the man responsible for Final Fantasy Tatics, which is my favorite FF game. The battle system sounds awesome, I like how its going to have more strategy elements. I havent been following it that closely lately, it helps not knowing the due date so when it gets delayed you dont know the difference.:animeswea
I'm really psyched for it due to the fact that the team that made Vagrant Story is working on it. If you haven't played it... well... you suck, and you missed out on a great game. It was in my opinion, the best game to grace the PS1. FFXII apparently delivers FFTA's world with VS's gameplay, I'd love to see that.

I'm kind of with Imi on this one. I have horrible stage fright, so I use it to make me better. It's easy to tell how nervous I am in the beginning, but as I get into a presentation (etc) I make it more fun. I'm actually known in most of my classes as the guy that does great speeches. If I have any problems beyond that, it's that I stutter a lot, I also misuse one word in place of another. I'd be more interested in getting rid of that.

Sadly, I never really got into Dimmu Borgir, a friend was really into them and he tried to get me into them and he sent me several songs I wasn't really interested in. Meanwhile, I had the wrong idea about Cradle of Filth until I actually heard Nymphetamine on Fuse a week ago. I love them, I downloaded some of their newer stuff (their older songs I've heard don't apeal to me) and I plan on buying Nymphetamine sometime soon. Hopefully that will quench my new obssession. Obviously, my vote is for Cradle of Filth.

I had some problems with the transparencies, but it looks ok, considering how new I am at Photoshop. I don't know if you'll pick up on this, but it's raining blood. Text: Die interviewer (bonus points if you know where it came from) Colors: Anything dark or gruesome :) Have fun with it. X'D ...I was here first...

OtakaMoon, you do realize you've posted in this thread four times saying little more than "OMG HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS ROX MY SOX!1111," even when you've only heard one of their songs; right? I suggest you buy their cd and give the whole thing a listen, and then tell us what you really think. Only listening to one song is simply not enough to judge any band, no matter how many times you tell people it's "frecken sweet," no one's going to care about your opinion, since you have next to nothing to base it off of. :)
   how can it be better than ozzfeast when ozzfeast has to takeup all of DTE music is theater which is the size of 3 football fields at least and this will take place in harpos which is the size of 1/2 a schools gym the atmosphere is part of what makes Ozzfeast great. (iam from Michigan) nothing is, can be , will be or will ever come close to being as great as ozz feast if you or anyone disagrees they will feel the wrath of REAPER16
Ozzfeast? I'd go to that. :) How come there aren't any NC dates? Aren't we one of the major 'metal states'? Sheesh, we always seem to get skipped over by the good shows.

You could use some spoiler tags up in your FFVII part, Thorax. :) I've played them all and beaten most of them. Gameplay-wise, I like FFV and FFVIII the best; story-wise, FFIV, FFVI, and FFVIII. I tend to like a lot of the Final Fantasies that people tend to hate, I liked FFX-2, especially compared to X, I hated spending 5-10 minutes 'leveling up' after a battle. A lot of people dissed FFVIII due to the Aura spell, saying it was too easy. I enjoyed the story, the setting, characters, style, gameplay, everything better than any other Final Fantasy. I also loved the side-quests, you know, where you talk to the lake and chase a monkey around the world? Fun stuff.

I'm going with Hawthorne Heights. I don't like their lyrics as much as Fall Out Boy's, but everything FOB does makes me want to rip my hair out and stuff it in my ears. I can't stand them, while I used to really like Hawthorne Heights. There is NOTHING catchy about "Sugar We're Going Down," to me it just screams 'bad song.' Sorry fan (Fall Out) boys, not for me.

Gaming What is your favorite and least favorite NES and SNES game?
Goodbye, Face replied to Violet Link's topic in Noosphere
Edited for Shinmaru's enjoyment. Favorites: NES - Although I'm compelled to say Mario or Final Fantasy, I'll delve a little deeper into games I'm actually playing now. I love Mag Max, Journey to Silius, and The Guardian Legend. Mag Max is a cute little shooter where you collect parts along the way and build yourself into a robot and slaughter stuff either on land or underground. It gets a little tedious at times, but you usually don't live long enough for it to start getting to you. I like the gameplay itself, as it's different from every other shooter I've played. Journey to Silius is a shooter/platformer where you're on a missiion across some alien planets to resuce your kidnapped dad, gaining new weapons as you beat bosses... the music's nice. I'm not sure why I like this game so much, a lot of people like this game simply because they do. Coolness just seems to ooze out of it. The Guardian Legend is a hard game. It mixes a top down shooter with an RPG/Adventure setting similar to Zelda. It feels really open compared to other games of its time... this takes some playing to believe it. This game is incredibly original and I wish they'd make a modern sequel to it, could you imagine? Least Favorites: I don't have many games that I don't absolutely love. If I had to pick one, it'd be Yoshi's Cookie, I hate Puzzle games, and it's not Tetris. It was the only game my mom would play with me, and she'd dominate me in it every time, so it was kind of instilled that I must hate it. I guess I should play it again. SNES - I just found a new SNES at a nice price. I still have some of my favorite games. The other games I don't remember so well. Favorites: Megaman X, Megaman X3, Super Mario Kart The Megaman X series is very hard for most people, I can agree with MMX3, but I thought MMX was easy. I missed out on MMX2, I can't find it except for on eBay every once in a while. I'll eventually get it, I suppose. I just love Megaman to begin with, and being able to dash around and climb walls is awesome. Super Mario Kart is just really fun and easy to play for any length of time. This is one of those games that you just turn on and you're immediately having fun. Least Favorite: I really don't have any, I have five games and greatly enjoy them all. -
How convenient, my PS2 got hit by lightning a few weeks ago, and I finally raised the rest of the money I needed to buy a PStwo. I enjoy it a lot. Soul Calibur II seems to run faster, which is interesting. The new graphics card makes a slightly noticable difference as well. My only problem with it is the fact that it gets really (really really really) hot after only 20 minutes of playing. I know it's probably not overheating, but you can't help but worry when it gets as hot as it does. At least I can clean the laser without voiding the warranty... I've been playing those blue disk games that I kept and haven't been able to play for a few years. The only ones I still have are Unreal Tournament and Dynasty Warriors 2, as well as a few demos that are basically worthless to me.

I kinda like MCR, but I never really got into them. Their singles are cool, as well as Ghost of You and maybe a few others, but they're not that great. I'm not into that choppy style of singing mixed with the Green Day-sounding guitar strumming. In short, it's nothing amazing to me. I'm fairly sick of cookie cutter pop-punk/alt rock bands, if there is a good one, MCR is one of the best. More interesting bands that sound similar are Christiansen and AutoDefe, both are on PureVolume. Both of these bands recieve my highest recommendation for that style of music.

Kids from New Orleans have made their way here (to family, I'm guessing). Three kids, all freshmen, one guy and two girls, are currently at my high school and more are arriving by the end of the week. I donated some of my clothes to Ryan, he only had one suitacse full of stuff between his family. We've become good friends already and he said that there would be no coaxing him to moving back.

Just as a fair warning, don't buy any of the PS1/2 RPG Makers without first buying a keyboard. You're making an RPG... and characters talk in RPGs... a lot.

If you aren't running XP, there's a program called WinRAR that's worth a try. It has a trial thing on it, but that seems to be for additional features you wouldn't normally use. You can still turn folders into .zip's and .rar's after the trial.

Wow, I used to think Home Alone 2 was an awesome game as well, I have/had it for the computer. I don't know whether I can say the same thing as you guys. I've been playing games since I was three or four, not very well, of course, I beat Super Mario Bros. when I was five. I seem to go through phases, rather than a simple spiral downward. I get pissed off when a game I thought looked good gets slammed by critics, and I do hate bad games. However, right now, I'm salivating over Soul Calibur III, Final Fantasy XII, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2, and Ohkami. I don't think it's possible for me to ever become less of a gamer than I am right now.

Name: Ceda (say-dah) Woodstock Nickname: Ceda's fine, ma'am. Gender: Male Age: 27 Appearance: Standard-issue cowboy. Black cowboy hat, dirty blonde hair, dark eyes, et cetera, et cetera. He's known for his trademark black cloak that disguises hand movements and guns. Does the heat bother him, wearing all black? He's willing to risk it in order to have fearful fashion, he likes the heat anyways. Personality: He, like a lot of people, has a 'heads' and a 'tails' side to his personality. He'll valliantly save a little girl from a gunfight, and then become a merciless killer to defend her. This side of his keeps him from being hired for a real job, so he rents himself out as a bodyguard. Occupation: Bodyguard, also freelances as an artist, his paintings frequently decorate the walls of a local bar. Hobbies: Painting, sketching, and a bit of guitar. Weapons/Possessions: He carries two revolvers at all times, as well as a shotgun for more voilent fights. Aside from that, he carries two canteens of water and a canteen of whisky, a quill pen, a roll of paper, and a vial of ink. Other Information: Kitty: I'm using your bar for the paintings, I doubt it'll ever come into the story, anyway.

Well, I don't use my myO, but I have problems similar to this when I'm using AOL. I only use FireFox now because I have so many problems with everything else. Basically, it says that you're logged in, but then when you do something a 'guest' can't do, you're locked out, right? Well, it usually has something to do with your cookies, clear them if you don't use AOL, that usually helps. If you use AOL, stop using it as your browser and switch to something like IE or FireFox.

Ever got a pet that you liked a first but grew to hate?
Goodbye, Face replied to Frankie's topic in General Discussion
I have two parakeets in the guest room. They came out of my desire to have a cockateil (sp?), but they were too expensive, so I got a parakeet and never really named her. We just call her Blue now, since she's... blue. I treated her very well, but she was always skittish. My mom decides to buy Blue a friend, which most resources tell you NOT to do. She got a green parakeet named Kiwi and stuck her in the cage before I came home from school and without my permission. Kiwi and Blue get really attached to eachother and ignore everyone else, and they're completely untrainable. So now they're just something we have to take care of, we've considered selling them a few times, but no one seems interested. :-\ -
I'll attempt to save this thread... I really loved Hawthorne Heights when they first came out, or at least became popular. I believe I first heard of the name from a friend, then I heard them in a sampler from a magazine called American Music Press (AMP). I later saw the video on MTV, which was cool the first time, but as I got bored of the cd, I got sick of the band. I really can't stand too much of their music aside from a few select songs such as "Life on Standby" and "The Transition." I stopped liking them because I relized just how uninspired their lyrics were. You could have never heard one of their songs before, but know what the last word of a given line is be hearing the rest of it. I found it really dissapointing after a while, as it stands now, I haven't listened to the cd in about half a year, unless they happen to pick up after Hand to Hand on my playlist. Sorry guys, Hawthorne Heights is ok, but there's better bands out there.

Lately, I've become addicted to coffee. I just got into it, coffee used to disgust me until like a month ago. I don't know what changed, but I just suddenly like it, I think that's how everyone gets into it that way. I just feel like I've been missing out in the mornings all my life. When I don't have my coffee before school, I just can't function. But I like it. The only things I don't like about it are the very audible stomach noises and and the mid-day crash, usually right after fencing practice is over. Oh well, that's why it's an addiction.

I totally agree with Charles, the only thing I disliked (minor as it is) is the fact that not all of the characters had 3P outfits to unlock. I just spent about an hour soaking in the website, I haven't been there yet. I really didn't think that the PS2 could get graphics that good. It really felt that the folds in the clothes were popping out of my monitor. I heard rumors that Raphael would be like a vampire, but reading his story, it's starting to seem true. Seigfried and Nightmare, as said by Sage, look to be two characters. This is really cool, but I hope that there's enough separation in moves to make them two different characters. I also noticed that some of the returning characters don't have a story, they seem to be the less important characters, while Seigfried, Nightmare, and Raphael have been pushed to the front. Or maybe there's more to the other characters that they don't want to share until the game comes out? I'm also saddened by the lack of Hwang or Yunsung this time around, as well as Cervantes. However, it looks like you can create similar characters in Character Creation mode. I am also amazed at what's been hinted by that desktop image myself. It reminds me of something out of FFV or FFT. I really can't wait for this game, I'm like... shaking in excitement over it!

I think the people who make lists like this all keep in good contact with one another... or steal from eachother. I've seen like three-fourths of that on another list. I really hate cliches, but some games use them to an extent or alter them and it makes the game cooler, such as some of the collaries. The parts I haven't seen were funny, though. ~_^

According to those rules, everything from Gwen Stefani to Between the Buried and Me could be considered Nu-Metal. Aside from that, I was reminded of several bands that I wouldn't even consider Nu-Metal... several times! Practically every band asks the crowd at one point to sing along during a show... unless they're The Last Regard. Don't even ask about that one, though. The list does do its job though. It's funny, and it does work for every Nu-Metal band I can think of.

Well, if anything totally awesome came out of this summer, I'm getting a new room put in where the bonus room was supposed to be in the second story of our living room. It's really hard to describe unless you've been to my house. A lot of my electronics have been breaking this summer, including my surround sound reciever, my PS2, and at one point, this really cool computer. I spent a lot of time doing nothing due to the construction. I couldn't have friends over nor just invite myself over to someone's house, so I've basically been lounging around doing nothing all summer. Hell, the reason I re-joined these forums was because I'm bored out of my mind. It's tough waking up to nasty surprises like random holes in my bedroom wall thanks to a wiring mix-up. My house was originally built so bad that a lot of stuff had to be fixed that we had no idea about. If I was to set an objective for this coming school year, it'd be to get closer with my friends. I have a lot of friends, but I'm not that close with any of them anymore. I'd have a summer song for ya as well, but I wouldn't put it here. It's a lot of sex, drugs and rock n' roll by Christiansen called "Cocaine Summer."
