(I'm already confusing everyone, aren't I? ^^') I still haven't met anyone who could say my name properly without my help. My name's Asuya. Usually people call me Asya. Which ever's "easy" for them. "Asya" means "Asia" in Turkish. But you can't write "Asya" in Japanese, so my parents had 5 choices: Asaya; Ashiya; Asuya; Aseya; Asoya. Looking at those choices, I'm glad that chose Asuya. ^^" But see? I always have to explain my name. My name's really similar to Asuka from Evangelion. Just a "y" instead of a "k". It should be easy, but no~! No one gets it right. Here are some of the things I've been called: Ashuya; Ashuwa; Asheiya; Ashuyo; Asuwa: Asewa; Asuka; Asia; A; Ashu; Azya; Azeya; Azuwa; Ajuwa; Ashuka; Azeya; Asiya; Asuma... And I'm sure there are more that I can't remember... Some of the people who got my name wrong: family members; teachers who've known me for over 1 year; friends who've known me for over a year... Also, "ya" in Japanese is used at the end of boy names... So people have thought that I'm a guy... Or that my name's my surname...[/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]

And I'm fine with that coz that's who I am. Yeah, I want to be less shy, but it's going to take time. No one can change who they are over night. So don't stress about your shyness. For example, you need a myO account to be able to launch the JukeBox here on OB. I first found theO, then myO. I then discovered OB coz it has a link at the top of the myO's login page. I log on to all 3 sites everyday for the past 6 months or so. I'm not sure if I could be of any help, but I would like to support Adam and everyone involved. [COLOR=Blue]My job's not nearly as interesting as everyone's. Anyway, I'm a casual receptionist at a community centre. When the receptionist's sick, or on holidays, I'm there. It's a good job that gives me alot of experience. And a lot of people with problems come there and blame me if things don't go right. So it keeps me on my feet. ;) At the moment, I'm going to university studying to become an Interpreter and Translater between English and Japanese. It's pretty hard, and stressful at times, but it's also quite fun. When I was a child, I had a new dream every month! The two biggest were fashion designer and violinist. I had those dreams when I was 10 years old, and my mum still thinks that I'm trying to become a fashion designer. (Just let it go mum, it was 10 years ago.) [COLOR=Blue]The past is something I would like to forget, but it's had such a big impact on my life that I can't forget... The biggest impact was during my first kindergarten. I was living in Japan at the time, and there was alot of discrimination back then. My mother's Turkish, so she and I were looked down upon. So was my father for marrying a non-Japanese. So when I was in kindergarten, I was picked on and bullied by the other children, their parents and the teachers. Yes, I was bullied by the teachers. I quit that kindergarten in less than a month. It's been 15years, and I still can't get over my experiences at that kindergarten. I'm always trying to get approval and recognition from people. Kind of like Naruto, but I don't go around vandalising faces carved in a mountain. I want people to see me for who I am, not my nationality. This is a hard thing to do, because I now live in Australia. The Turks were Australia's enemy in WWI, and Japan was an enemy in WWII... The good thing that came out of my experience is that I can fake an illness really easily. I skipped kindergarten about 45% of the time because I had a "fever". And I am now a good lier. Since telling the truth got me into a lot of trouble in that kindergarten... Once, these 2 boys broke a window when the teacher was out of the classroom. When she came back and asked who did it, I told her that it was the boys. I got into more trouble than the boys because I tattle taled... Well, I'm getting depressed just remembering, so I'm going to leave it here...[/COLOR]

And people will hate me if I say this but, I can lose weight really easily. (I'm a bit underweight: 153cm height & 41kg & used to be 45kg 2 months ago, and I didn't go on any diets) [B]Bad:[/B] Zero confidence. Really really shy. But if I get comfortable talking to someone about something, there's no shutting me up. I'm 20 years old, but childish. Yet I hate being touched by people. Hugs and kisses and shaking hands aren't my thing. I don't think before I talk, so I may hurt people at times. I'm co-dependant, but I like my space. I'm always worried about something. I get depressed really easily. I'm unfit. I'm lazy. I'm forgetful about chores and homework. I procastinate. I'm terrible at spelling. (procastinate? procrastrinate?) If I have no interest about something, I tune out. I'm like a guy and don't notice things. If someone cuts their hair, or loses weight, I'm the last to notice (if I notice at all). I have no decency. I'm wearing a skirt now, but I'm sitting crossed leg on the chair. I'm bad at waking up in the mornings. I say alot of ambiguous things. It make sense in my head... I can be bossy and stubborn. I have a big pride. I bottle emotions up inside, so I can explode at any time. I'm really moody and angry on the first and second days of my periods. That's all I can think of at the moment... Oh! [COLOR=Blue]I think that everyone here has a good point. You should talk to your mother and find out WHY she thinks that you're the problem. Then you should decide of you are the problem. If you don't think you are, then tell your mother WHY you think so. It's best to get everything out in the open. And I also think that you should talk to other members of your family too. See what they think of this whole situation. Everyone sees the same thing in a different way. And maybe they would know something that your mother doesn't tell you. I personally have been living under the guilt of keeping my parents unhappy. I've felt this way for about 15 years (so that's since I was 5 years old). Only my mother and my boy friend, I mean ex-boyfriend ( :animecry: ) knows the whole story. It's not the same things as you're going through, but it's similar... I'm sorry, but I'm not prepared to let the whole world know about it... What I'm still learning the hard way, is that life goes on. And that you have to live through pain, to find happiness. If we were to fight a creature mentioned above, without the use of weapons or tools, would we survive? There is no way that I would...
