Gears of War 3
So did any of you guys hear about the Epic and Limited editions? http://www.games-ine...ealed_1211.html If you planned on buying this game new, you might wanna consider upgrading to the Limited edition. 20$ seems to go a long way in terms of fan apparel. THe Epic edition is a bit pricy, but I know people will shell out the cash for that statue.
I have high hopes for this game, assuming that some of the glaring issues with the Beta are resolved by shipping day. I was not a fan some spawn placements (as are most gamers with every game) especially on the map "Thrashball" or just the Capture the Leader game type as a whole. I do not believe there is any need for me to go into the Sawed-off shotgun since, I believe, that was most polarizing and criticized issue of the Beta. I have no interest in any of the apparel or the statue, though I know of many who are. They have me contemplating the Epic Edition only for the Infected Omen weapon-skin pack. Unfortunately, Epic Games knows how to take advantage of my weakness for disliking when other's have special in-game content that I am unable to obtain. 2. Figured the day of the Apocalypse would be the perfect time to sign into OB for the first time in a year.

3. Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem.

4. 2001 member here, as well. I definitely remember you (along with a large majority of the usernames of people I see responding to this thread). I was more of a lurker rather than a well-known member (my original username being /*NoodleZ*\ or something similarly annoying and immature considering I was eleven when I first found OB). I'm glad to see there are more older members still active than I would have thought. Makes me remember all of the good times I spent here during my childhood.
5. 1. What was the first choice you?ve made that you can remember? ? This makes it difficult considering you have to remember it. Hmm. Well, when I was around 5, I grabbed the steering wheel of our truck that my family was in on our way home. I jerked it completely to the left and we went into a ditch and almost flipped over. I was angry because my father was yelling at me for something. At around the same age, I also knocked down my door with a baseball bat because my older sister and babysitter were trying to force me to take a nap and they locked me in my room. I'm not positive which event came first, but I do know that they happened at the same age, so I'd go with one or the other. 2. What was the best choice you ever made? ? Realizing in 8th grade that blatantly choosing to conform was about the stupidest thing I could ever do and that it wasn't worth it. 3. What was the worst choice you ever made? ? Choosing to be lazy and not work even remotely hard throughout high school. 4. What was the hardest choice you ever made? ? See #2. It was probably my most difficult choice just because I lost every single one of my 'friends'. It's a very tough thing to go through at that age since you think stereotypes and groups are life. Add that I was headed to high school feeling like a complete outcast, and it wasn't really a great time. I don't regret it one bit, though.
6. 'Beside You In Time' by Nine Inch Nails, but I've had the entire album (that being With Teeth) playing for the past 45 minutes or so. I just happened to stumble across this thread towards the end of it.
7. I've been stuck between Obama and Clinton ever since the primaries began. It's extremely difficult to decide since both candidates are almost mirror images of each other when it comes to their policies. At first I was leaning towards Clinton, then I was somewhat for Obama, then I was back for Clinton. I'm still not so sure my current choice is firm, but I'm for Obama now. I need to make up my mind soon considering I have about two weeks to decide. When it came down to it, I did not like the fact that Hillary is going to mandate her health care plan. Yes, some people may not have health care now because they can't afford it, but some also may not have it because they just don't want it. I know someone that does not have health care even though he could easily afford it. He just does not wish to have it. I can't say that I agree with his choice, but he's definitely entitled to his decision and I don't think that anyone should be able to take that away.
8. Whenever I was younger I always had the same nightmare: me walking throughout my house. Each room was lite up by candles and I was home alone. I would walk into my living room and leaning up against the glass door would be this black woman, with cuts and wounds all over her body and face. She was covered in blood and it was running down the door. She just stood there singing and staring at me. My attempts to fall asleep whenever I was younger always failed because in the back of my mind I was thinking about that woman, just staring at me. It frightened me for many years. Now that I am much older, it doesn't scare me anymore. Just something to look back and laugh about.
9. I have yet to meet my "best friend" in life. I have many friends that I talk to at school on a regular basis, but none ever make the effort to invite me to do anything, but on the other hand, neither do I so there is faults on I aswell. I have no doubt that I will one day find my "best friend". Perhaps in college, maybe. Who knows?
10. What attracts me to watch anime? A number of things. 1.) The artwork. Not just in anime, now that I think about it, but in a lot of animated television shows. I have nothing but the upmost respect and admiration for those who have the talents to draw extremely well and I take pleasure in watching it and thinking of the process it takes from pencil on paper to television. 2.)Anime is usually much deeper with more mature-related themes then what may show on Nickelodeon. Nothing against Nickelodeon, as I used to watch it whenever I was younger, but I've grown up (Hence the urge to watch something more grown up.) 3.)I watch because I can relate to it more. No, I cannot relate to a ninja saving the world, but I can to more of the internal conflicts the a lot of main characters, in any anime, deal with. 4.)It is just fun to imagine and daydream, "What if I was in *insert character's name*'s shoes." I think humans in general like to think about themeselves having magical powers or heightened abilities. I could probably go on, but I don't want to become too repetitive, so I will leave this as is. Nice question, by the way.
11. Ever since I could remember I wanted to be a vet, and still, 16 years later there is nothing else that comes close to becoming a vet. Nothing else interests me. I never wanted to be a superhero or a cartoon character, just a vet. :)
12. I would say that both are difficult, just because I can't ice skate or skaterboard without falling on my face, but if I had to choose one I would choose skateboarding, because I tend to fall down more attempting that than ice skating. I have nothing but the upmost admiration to those who are able to perform one or the other or both, because of their high difficulty level.
13. I couldn't even estimate how much time I have spent playing Halo 2, the campaign as well as on Xbox Live. I still play more than 4 hours each day, school day or weekend, and I've had Xbox Live for nearly year. I'm still as addicted to it as I was whenever I received it for Christmas. I don't think it will stop until the next Halo comes out, which won't be for awhile.

Aeon Flux?

I've never seen the cartoon before, so I don't really know what it is about, so I can't fairly make an opinion, but I don't think that will stop me from wanting to see the hottie known as Charlize Theron.
15. My name is Ryan. I'm 16 years old and I live in Lubbock, Texas. I have one older sister and my two parents, my mother and father. Whenever I graduate from high school in 2 and a half years I hope to be admitted to Texas ATM to hopefully become a veterinarian. I joined OB a very long time ago, then I was inactive for a few years, but I am trying to get back into the flow of things and be more active and involved.
16. I don't know any, but I am hoping to learn some, if not a lot in the future. I think it would be great to be trilingual (English/Spanish for me at the moment.) I envy those who are able to pick up on Japanese well, it seems like a very tough language.
17. "The Nameless" by Slipknot
18.
That's basically it there. The problem with this line is that Killer7 mentions him being a newscaster...and that's it. No accounts of meritous acts, no stories of brash heroism, or even of mild civility. Just a news reporter.
So what you are saying is a person has to have achieved meritous acts or brash heroism to be respected?
Yet, the death of one is a tragedy. The death of a million, of a thousand. . .it doesn't even matter.
Who here has said that it doesn't matter? Why even bring that up, something that has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. No one said that the deaths of the Holocaust or the soldiers in Iraq don't matter, so don't go putting words into other's mouths.
19. Nowhere have I read anyone say "because he was a news anchor, that you must respect him" so I have no clue where Chaos and Mitch came up with that statement.
20. My parents always tried to take me to swim lessons, but I never wanted to, and I guess they thought it would be easier to just not take me so they wouldn't have to listen to me complain about going. I don't know how to swim, but it doesn't matter considering I have a phobia of large bodies of water (lakes, ocean etc.) and even though a pool is much larger, I would prefer not going in.
21. I used to play, whenever I was younger, but I've lost interest since then. I just have all of them in a large polybinder somewhere in my closet. I may sell them in the future for some money if I can find some others that want them.
22. He was a news anchor on ABC for a number of years, Mitch. Just mentioning...
23. The version I have for my Xbox has a song called Orion something. I think there is some numbers after it, but I am not sure at the moment. I always loved this one because it was so fast and fun and none of my other friends could ever get it down.

The Used

I only liked one of their songs, "Sound Effects and Overdramatics" and that was about it. Other than that one song, I had no interest in the other songs in the least. I don't listen to that genre of music, mostly, anyway.
