1. 'Ouch.' She had forgotten shoes. Droana wasn't used to wearing them, and of course had forgotten she needed them here in the city. She would have to buy a pair. After wandering a bit, she saw a sign hanging above a small shop, full of shoes. Entering, she browsed through her choices, until one of the clerks approached her. "Excuse me, do you need help?" she asked. Droana pointed to a pair of simple slip on black shoes,"could I try a pair of those on?" "Alright. In what size?" "oh. I don't know." The woman looked confused for a moment. "You... don't know? Nevermind, I'll just get you a pair." Dissapearing to the back of the store, she returned a moment later with the shoes. Sitting down, Droana pulled a shoe out of the box and slipped it on her foot. Then the woman noticed her bare feet; the goddess noticed her eyebrows arch. "They fit nicely. I think I'll buy these." she said to the clerk. After paying for the shoes, she sat down again and slipped them on. Then she left the store. It was raining outside. 'They're at it already.' she thought, shaking her head. Without an umbrella, she would soon be soaked. Droana didn't mind. The rain was nice. But a lot of people had dissapeared into shops and other shelters; humans just didn't seem to enjoy weather. 'oh well.' Droana entered a coffee shop, and looked around. Sitting down by the window, she spotted Nilelea talking to a human. Deciding not to disturb them, she gazed out the window, watching the rain pour down. OOC: I don't mind Sevotharte. And I've already run into Nilelea, sort of.
2. Droana traveled to the edge of the forest, then took some time preparing herself. She changed into a white blouse and a dark green, long skirt. Not bothering herself with shoes, she continued on her way, until she had reached her new home. Wydwo had picked out a little cottage-like house on the very outskirts of the large city. It already had a garden, and a large willow tree drooped over the path leading up to the front door. Droana smiled. 'I think I already like this place,' as she silently observed the front yard. Then she entered the house, and investigated, finding a kitchen and table, one bedroom, a nice bathroom, and a small living room with some empty bookshelves. On one of the shelves, she found the money Wydwo had left for her. "Well, now that I know where I'm living, It's time to go out." She grabbed the small cloth sack with her money, and left to explore the city, and to make friends.

4. Name: Dodie(Dotty) Yoj Age: 14 Gender: Female Reason for Running away/Bio: Dodie has lived her whole life moving from apartment to apartment, sometimes sleeping on others couches. Her aunt spends too much time out having fun instead of working and taking care of Dodie, so she has had to mostly raise herself. When they moved to this city, life started to look better. Aunt had finally gotten a job and Dodie actually liked her new school; she even had a few friends. But then Aunt met Nick, the scary guy who did who knows what for a living. He would come over when Aunt wasn't even there, and he was never nice to her in the least. Aunt never listened to her anymore; she was ignored. After a while, he seemed to have taken over their lives. Then Aunt announced that they were moving again; to go live with Nick somewhere else, far away from her friends. She couldn't stand the thought of moving again, especially because she liked this city, so much more than she had ever liked any place she had lived in. Then Dodie got the idea to run away, to live her own life how she wanted to... Attitude: Dodie tends to be depressed a lot of the time, but she tries to hide it. When people ask her if she's okay, she tells them she's just tired, or thinking. She loves to help people, forcing herself to be happy to cheer others up. If she can't be happy, then at least others can... Description: http://www.animegalleries.net/album/320/img/91 http://www.animegalleries.net/album/320/img/192
5. Tierra had been sitting quietly in a corner for some time. Observing the other people in the room, she wondered what could possibly be happening, why was her aunt so worried, why were royalty here, and mostly why any of them were here. Euthalia had been standing over on the other side of the room, the worried look never once fading, and occasionally exchanging a word or two with one of the older people. Suddenly, Tierra stood and approached her aunt. "Why are we here aunt?" she demanded. After receiving no answer, she lost her patience. "I want to know what is going on! What has caused us all to be here, all of us strangers? Why is the King here, of all people? And why won't you tell me? I am sick of waiting, expected to sit patiently until you feel is the correct time." Startled, Euthalia stepped back. "I'm sorry Tierra, but you must calm yourself." Then, Euthalia looked to the other elders in the room, seeking their answers.
6. A young woman stood before Droana, deep within one of the few untouched forests left on the earth. "You understand what I am asking, Wydwo? That you hold my place for me while I stay here. I trust you, and hope you trust yourself." The Earth Goddess smiled when Wydwo nodded. "Yes Droana, I understand, and accept willingly. Best luck during your stay here on earth. I have everything prepared for you, and hope you like it here. It is an honour to serve you; thank you." "Time to go our ways then." Droana placed a hand on her follower's brow, saying a quick chant, then stepping back when the girl dissapeared. She had sent her to the place above the world, where the gods and goddesses usually resided. Now it was time to become human.
7. "Aunt, at least tell me why we are rushing off like this?" Tierra begged Euthalia again. Euthalia stopped and faced her. Her expression was grim. "Dear, I can only tell you that a great evil has returned to this land, and you and I must meet with some others because of this. You will find out the rest soon enough." Then Euthalia was off again. After a bit of wandering through an area of the forest unknown to Tierra, they arrived at a particularly thick bunch of trees; Euthalia pressed a button and the trees dissapeared. The trees were fake, a cover to a secret building hidden behind them. Tierra stared through the open doorway. "Aunt, what-?" she was cut off as her aunt pulled her through and the door shut. The passageway led to a room, full of people. One older man with a young girl next to him caught her attention. "Tierra, show respect for the King and his granddaughter. I know I raised you well enough to know your manners." Tierra curtseyed low, then gazed at them in silence. So this was the King and Princess. But why were they here, along with the other people? And the mystery of the green light still puzzled her. What was going on?
8. Maybe each character should have to overcome an obstacle dealing with their element power before their power can grow. Just a thought.
9. ooc: Okay, then how about the Disreputable Dog? Maybe she could somehow come back into the story; afterall, it's not like she's really gone...
10. ooc: How could you kill Sabriel and Touchstone!!!:flaming: Okay, sorry bout that. Anyways, is Lirael an open character? (:love2: I love the Abhorsen trilogy!)

She was brought up to always tell the truth, no matter how much she may not want to. She speaks up for the truth, and what she believes in. Bio: Tierra's parents died when she was still in her first year, from a sickness. Raised by her great-aunt Euthalia, just outside the forest, Tierra grew up with a love for nature. Every day since she could walk on her own, she would go outside the house to the forest, and wander just inside the trees. Euthalia raised her with much care and love, and also taught Tierra many things about the earth and nature, showing her all sorts of plants, and informing her of the way of the forest. One day, while Euthalia trained Tierra in one of her daily archery lessons(something to occupy the time, she told Tierra) inside the forest, a darkness came over the sky. There were no clouds, and Euthalia had a slightly wary expression on her face. Tierra heard a voice from the sky, and then watched in curiosity as a small, greenish light floated down through the trees. The light gently landed on her brow, then vanished. "Aunt Euthalia, what was that light? Do you-" her words were cut off when she noticed the worried look on her beloved aunt's face. "Dear, we must go!" Euthalia grabbed Tierra's arm, half dragging her back to house, barely giving her time to retrieve the beautiful carved bow her aunt had given her for her last birthday. "Aunt, aunt, what's wrong? Please tell me!" But Euthalia disappeared into the house, leaving a very confused Tierra standing out in the yard, one arm dangling the long bow, the other reached out after her aunt. A few moments later, Euthalia reappeared at the doorway. "Quick child, we must be off at once!" Without any further explanation, Tierra hurriedly followed her aunt away from the little house, and what she would later learn, away from her simple life. When she is thinking, she hates to be disturbed, and is often found with a book in one hand, whether it's philosophy or fiction. My serious eyes are a light green to blue, but darken sometimes. I like to wear long skirts of all different colors, even black, which usually causes a few mean looks. A marble-sized smooth orb of wood hangs from a leather cord around her neck. A small heart is carved into it. Background: Since most in Zaber are very fair haired, the bit of brown in hers disturbs some. Anything unusually dark is hinting at evil to them, and her love of dark colors makes them wary. Because of this, and her preference of silence, people keep from getting to know her. She is her town's herbalist, and lives by herself. The necklace was given to her by her only friend, a long time ago. Popularity: Little to non-existant; no one really knows her Gossip: The townsfolk are not sure what to think of her, because she stays away from social events. If only I hadn't wished for adventure so much...
16. :D Yay for blankies! Of course, I still have mine(I'm only 14 1/2 though)! It's a very pale green and it's kinda poofy, and a just a bit tattered. But I love it and my twin sis has a matching white one. Hers looks nicer cuz she doesn't use it much, but mine is always on my bed. We used to put our blankies over our heads and pretend and play games with them. Blankies are lots of fun!

19. Ayira had seen the girls bullying the silent one. She had paused wondering whether or not to say anything, standing across the hallway watching. "Leave her alone..." Then the boy with the red speckled eyes had intervened. The girls had turned away from the quiet one, and seeing him, they left. 'At least he had the courage to help...' Ayira silently scolded herself for not trying. For just watching once again as someone needed help. For not believing she could have done something. One of the girls passed her, glancing briefly at her. Their eyes locked, and once she held the other's gaze, she could not let go, nor the girl turn away. 'No, please no. Look away, please.' Someone pushed into her, and her eyes were torn away from the other student. The poor girl looked quite pale, and her friends had to hold her upright. "Her eyes, her dark endless eyes..." She heard the girl babbling. The other students in the hallway rushed by, someone shoved into her, making her books drop from her arms. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. It was an accident." Ayira quietly spoke to no one. She waited until the second bell had rung, and the halls emptied. Then she quietly walked along the hallways until she came to the library. Entering, she sighed with relief that no one else was there. Walking all the way back beyond the last tall shelf of old books, she sat down with her back against a shelf. Tears silently slid down her face.
20. 'Oh no, I'm late again' Ayira pushed open the classroom door, then silently made her way across the room to a desk next to a window. She always chose window seats; instead of seeing their eyes on you, you could stare out the window, watch the birds fly by. "Miss Ayira Yoj, you are late..." The teacher met her dark eyes, forgetting to finish the scolding, then hastily focused her gaze on the rest of the class. Of course, even the teachers couldn't stand her eyes. They were like blackholes, bottomless pits; they just seemed to suck up everything they observed. Someone, a past friend, had once told her that her eyes could take the life out of someone if she looked at them too long. Her eyes had betrayed that same trusting friend. And her hands. She avoided touching anyone directly. Her hands were always cold, even after she burned her finger once, it still felt icy. Ayira watched the breeze blow through the trees outside, while the teacher explained something to the class. And then, a whisper reached her ears. "That's the soul eater. She'll steal your life away, if you're not careful." ' Soul eater...?' She'd heard whispers before, but not directly about her. Whispers hurt. This one particularly hurt her. ' Why? Why me; a whisper?'
21. ~Gasp!~ :( How dare any book ever be banned! I hate when people try to ban books just because they disagree with them. Books are simply the authors views, ideas, opinions, whatever. It doesn't mean you have to read them if you don't want to! So, that's what I have to say about banned books. Just please don't take my books away, my precious books! Yay for addicted bookworms!
22. Those who stray from childhood dreams pass through days of sorrow For they can not remember the dreams they forgot And so live life only to what they see Those who believe and know the magic of their quiet dreams live their days to the best For they know they do not test all the Why's And so live life beyond their dreams... If this makes any sense, it's my view of this argument. Take what you might, though leave the rest...
23. Well, you people certainly had an interesting debate going here. Not that I think Heero Darkangel really meant to start one. And, anyways, who cares how your eyes change color(or only seem to), it's just something fun. I like to believe my eyes and hair change color(of course my hair looks different in different light), but I don't care how. My friends and I seem to think that your colors sort of match your personality. Aren't colors just wonderful?
24. Hmmm, it's interesting. I like how each line just sort of tails off... like that. :D Could just be me, but it sounds more like a song. With the right music, it could be.
25. Here's a poem I wrote. If you want to read more, go to my Otaku site. Oh, and PLEASE give me some feedback if you liked it or not. In a Place of Dreams I drift in my mind Floating in endless thoughts I leave it all For another place A place of rest A place of peace A place of dreams and quiet sleep Through a door over unknown land Under the endless sky I live in a place of dreams
