I'll Join. I'm just waiting on Pumpkin to update his F.A.Q. with the questions I asked.
Sorry it took me awhile Deathjet. I will be sure to anwser your questions, oh and by the way I'm a girl. Just thought I'd let you know that. If you have any more questions, feel free to post them here. Are you required to have an alliance, or can you be neutral? Actually I haven't thought much of that possiblity, my guess would be you would have to be born from one of the areas (since there is no known "land" in the middle of the continent of Caldroth supposedly) and while your birth place might be Shadow, you can remain neutral. This means you might have a bit of trouble with getting along with people on both sides. Good luck. Are you required to be from the Caldroth continent? I'm aware that the letters were sent across the continent exclusively. Yes you are required to be from the Caldroth continent. As far as we know, that is the only place you could be. Ahem....Well....uhh...I don't know if I'm allowed to anwser where the letters came from...else I would be giving a bit too much away? As far as that goes, that will remain a mystery until the RPG carrys on. I can say that you are very close to revealing some of the secrets. Still, great question, I'd love more of these. *grin* What is the approximate time frame? You said it wasn't just a medieval theme, but from there you were pretty vague. Caldroth is it's own seperate world mixed with eras from a different time in mostly our past. So mostly, I mean your character can range from a different number of things from like a samurai-type of character to a cowboy. It's best to make your character different, they could even be as simple as a baker that worked in a bread shop. The options are yours as long as you don't make your character a ninja turtle or robot. Is this continuing from another R.P.; the first revolution perhaps? If so, do you have the link so I can a better idea of how this'll play through? Actually no, this is the first RPG. Think of Star Wars, the last ones came out first and then they made a prelude. I was hoping that if this one went well enough, we could do the First Revolution but thats if things go according to plan.

Name: Rhodesia Matsumoto (African & Japanese) prefers to be called "Rin" Age: 25 Gender: Female Place of Origin : Born in Tokyo, Japan but was raised in Uganda. Known History : Rhodesia was born in Tokyo and lived there until she was around 6 when her father was sent away for military duties. Her mother was working hard at two jobs and couldn't afford the rent anymore in which they decided to travel to Africa, where buisnesses were needed and places were cheap. Rin didn't care all too much about leaving Japan, for she got a lot of wierd glances from the locals there for her unique dark skin like her fathers and slanted eyes like her mothers. Nevertheless, Uganda became her new home. She had felt more at home there and began to work early at the age of 10 to help support her mother in a factory from Europe. Rin had never seen her father in over 5 years when he came back one day to tell them he was leaving for good. It wasn't until her mother gave birth to her baby brother, Abdul that Rin had found out why. Her mother had met a tourist from Saudi Arabia and had cheated on her father, Rin sought out to blame her mother for her hard life and poor future. Meanwhile, Rin had to take the responsibilities of taking care of Abdul when her mother grew ill and dropped out of highschool by the age of 15. She took on the job at the factory full time to help pay to feed her mother and brother, saying goodbye to her dreams of a successful future. Of a future where she could be herself and could support her own life not just her family's. Personality : Rin finds it hard to trust others, and to guess what other people are thinking because of her tough childhood. For someone so young, she is very mature and thinks of things very realistically. She can be thought of as too serious sometimes and never seems to relax. She is also very responsible after having to take care of her younger sibling, Abdul. Rin has always been self-conscious of her decisions and the people around here, and always has put people above herself. One thing about Rin that is hard to come by, is that she is extremely patient and understanding. She will never complain to anyone or make you apologize for anything. Ironically, this gets on people's nerves easily even though she feels the need to protect others. Appearance : Rin is known for her tanned brown skin and slanted asian brown eyes. Her hair is dyed to a honey blonde which contrasts with her skin tone. She gets a lot of recognition for her vibrant choices of clothing, whether it be feminine or masculine. She is often seen wearing jeans or flowing long skirts, walking barefoot with a gold ankelet bracelet. A nose ring is apparent on her left nostril, appearing rebelious and yet her appearance contrasts with her personality. Rin always wears a charm bracelet given to her by her father, and is never seen without it off. The inscription reads, "Without love, there is no hope for the future." Animal Genes : Mountain Gorilla Hybrid Abilities : Abnormal Strength: For such a small girl, Rin can bend almost anything. While she is not known for being a fast runner, she can bend things such as thick trees to breaking down a house. Rarely, when she is angry she has even been known to dent and bend metal and iron to her will. Her brutal strength alone is something to be feared. Thick Skin: While most people would be injuried after being stabbed or punch once, Rin has an extra protected layer on skin that helps her be more sturdy to injury. If she were to fall from a three story building, it would hurt her less then the average person. She litterly is "A bundle of bricks" that can not feel most pain physically, and receives very little damage what so ever. Sense of Emotions: While this ability does not seem very useful, she can sense other people's feelings that are close to her. Rin has found it to come in handy to decide whether or not that person wants to cause her harm. She has found it a great way of weeding out predators from friends. Although sometimes knowing what others are feeling might not be all that wonderful...

A world in which you have the choice of your own destiny. There once was an old woman who had appeared out of nowhere, traveling into a small village with only but a knap sack of goods carried over her shoulder. It was said that she had hair the color of a silver coin and as shiny as the sea with a face that looked as if it was worn down but would never truly age with a smile as wide as the moon with eyes that resembled the color of gold. Yet this woman with her unusual eyes, was indeed blind it seemed she could feel everything around here without a care. She lived in the village around 3,000 years ago, helping take care of sick children with deadly illnesses that were corrupted by the plague, defenseless creatures, and helped out visitors by offering her shack of a home in the village for free. The village found it odd that she was always smiling and never wanted money in return for her services but they all loved her dearly anyways calling her the nickname "Mother, Mum" or even "Mamma". The village had been peaceful for almost 50 years until one of the elder men that she had helped care for as a child, grew suspicious of her. She never seemed to age, and she had looked the same as she did the day of her arrival. Suspecting some kind of sorcery, the man had plotted to catch her in her "evil-doing". He had sent his daughter in disguise to go and find out what she had been up too. His daughter, who was nearly in her early 20's, was known for her jealousy of the old woman's beauty and gracefulness. She grew a hatred for the village's adoration of her, and quickly plotted up a scheme to punish her claiming she must be a horrible person that just wants to seek attention. The old woman being as kind as she was, welcomed the daughter into her small home and fed her a feast fit for a princess. The daughter could not even believe a woman of her age could cook so well and not have any health problems. Jealous and in a pit of rage, she had stormed into her father's house claiming that the old woman had tried to kill her and cook her in a cauldron of pig's blood so that she could drink it and remain young forever. As she bursts into tears, her father took drastic measures to bring the village council together. The whole village instead gathered to debate on the validity of the subject, in which even some travelers had come to protest. Nevertheless, this discussion was held within a month, and while some of the villagers warned the old woman to leave immediately she had stayed in her cottage. The main council had then come to the conclusion that if she had not aged, there could be no other explanation than witchcraft for there is no such power other then that of god and that the only way to get rid of a demon was to execute it from living. With that statement, the old woman was sentenced to death by hanging. Instead of running, the old woman stood up bravely before her death and stated "I have nothing to say to those who have accused me of such crime, except that I have pity on your souls. I shall put a curse or a blessing on this wretched land to which the destiny of it lies within you or your enemy?s hands. Within 1,000 years, seven people from all over shall be called with a letter enabled with two cross bones enabling instructions. There will be a battle of your hearts, a long journey, and three quests for the prize. The prize is whether this land will be reduced to rubble or to a paradise. If they should fail to complete it however, another 1,000 years shall pass and so forth. You must pay redemption for your sins or wallow in them. You fight for what your future must be, know that and be still." with that last breathe, the old woman stepped off the platform and took her very last breathe. It has been 2,000 years since the first revolution and many believe it to be folklore for it has been over 1,000 years and nothing has yet to change in that span of time. People have forgotten most of the legend, feeling it to be a childish fairytale to explain the phenomenon of the changes of the land. Half of the continent never receives daylight and has since been called "Shadow land" while the other half is considered "Light land". There have been battles between the two of who should have control over the land, in which each are split into multiply countries. Most wars had settled down for the most part, until one sudden day a letter was sent to seven people scattered across the continent. They must band together for the future of the continent and either bring destruction or restoration to the rest of Caldroth. Only you control the destiny of Caldroth's future. Of course there will be certain rules to this RPG just because I'm expecting quality over quantity. There will however only be seven people chosen.

No God Modding : No one likes someone who's immortal, every person has a weakness. Try not to boss other members around either please, it's just not very nice.
Poor Grammar : I'm sorry I expect quality grammar. Even if your not the best writer, try using spell check if it helps.
Rebirths: Sorry but I have to put a ban on the "coming back to life" themes. If you die, your dead for good. That means you don't get to come back to the rpg, even as a seperate character. That's just the way it goes.
Racial descrimination or harrasement: In general, just no bringing in real life issues into this RPG. Your characters can not get along but please don't harass anyone. I'm sure you all know that as much as I do.
Lack of Knowledge: If you didn't even bother to read the paragraph above, then maybe this RPG isn't for you. I don't require you to read the underground threads but it might come in handy for you, that choice is up to you.
Have fun : Have fun with this RPG, don't be too serious. Comedy and Romance are allowed and even sometimes encouraged.
By the way, this RPG will be put into Chapters. We will start off with myself posting first, however there will be no posting order. Although this could change depending on the situation to make it fair. Here is the sign up sheet for the seven chosen ones, fill this out below. Name : Make it fantasy-related. Try and be creative. Age : ANY age allowed. The letters send themselves to people of all different age groups. Sex : Male or Female. Self-explanitory. Alliance : Shadow or Light? Which side of Caldroth do you consider yourself a part of? Hometown : The place of your birth or where you were raised. You can use the underground thread [ here ] to look up a list of towns or you can be creative and come up with your own. Weapon(s): Do you wield a particular weapon? What are you skilled in? (Ex: Gunsman, Crossbows, swords, daggers, nunchucks) This is not just a medieval theme RPG, your even allowed to be a pirate/cowboy etc. whatever your heart desires. Gift: Do you hold the power of wielding fire when your angry? Can you jump to great lengths? Can you feel people getting hurt? Everyone is blessed with a "Gift" that is said to have been given by the old woman. Describe yours. Biography : Are you a gunsman from the light? A pirate from the shadow lands? A thief from both? Tell your character's past here. 2 or 3 paragraphs is the minimum. Personality : Do you get along with others well? What is your character like? etc. Appearance: Self-explanitory. What does your character look like? Character Snippet : I just want a small writing sample of your character finding the letter or how it came about on that particular day. Atleast 2 or 3 paragraphs would be the minimum and just try and be creative. I'd like to thank Delta for the lovely main banner above and the from the creator of Revolutionary Girl Utena (even though I didn't really base it off the anime). Also, for anyone who bothers to sign up for my RPG. You are truely great.

A world in which you have the choice of your own destiny. The first revolution was 1,000 years taken place after the old woman's death. Seven people from all over received envelopes that only they could open with crossbones on them. As they banded together, they headed on a journey to where each of their letters read as a puzzle to where they would go to "change or save the world." As far as that much we know, the details are unknown. Except for that five of them had died earlier on, and the last two died during the beginning of the Dark Age. Rumor has it that on that day, a dark cloud spread over the sky and began to consume half of the continent and suddenly vanished before their eyes. A plague was spread and many of the occupants on the east coast were contaminated and passed away and some were killed by the explosion. This left most of the land's vegetation to die and the fact that it was as if someone had covered it with a veil in which no sunlight that has ever fallen on half of the country since. Most of the east (besides the islands which escaped the contamination). There is also a myth that many people do not know about the cloud stating a woman had fallen in love with a man who was from an enemy country and had hopes of the prize granting her the wish to be with him forever. With her other companions gone and scared of losing her chance at true love, she murdered one of the last living companions in his sleep and ran away with her lover. She had got the "prize" but her heart was impure and it rejected and consumed her. Her lover had tried to protect her, but as he touched her he died instantly. Mourning with grief at her foolishness and watching the cloud disperse into the atmosphere, she committed suicide to stop it from draining her energy. However, this could simply all be another myth. There are many different stories that are told of it, which one could be true? The continent of Caldroth is seperated by a crooked line of difference between light and dark in which half of it was contaminated so that no sunlight ever touches part of the land. That part is simply called Shadow territory and the other is called Light. Below is a list of some reference towns, you may use your own if you like, that is also optional. Shadow Territory Barktu : A village outside the port of Crimson Ale, that was one of the first to be contaminated by the first revolution. It survived however, and many descended from the ancestors who lived there before continue on living there. It is one of the oldest remaining towns. Korkine : The capital city that is dirty but busy with people. Probably one of the most military based and prominant cities in the shadow territory. Ashere : A town that is used to trade items and is home to many artisans who trade goods from Barktu and mostly to soldiers in Korkine. Light Territory Belladure : A religious town that is located near the capital city but holds great importance. It is a sanctuary for both light and shadow people and has been a resting place for those in need. Taliara : The capital city for light in which is a military stronghold and also has many trade opportunities. Sharanell : Named after one of the participants in the last revolution who everyone has long forgotten, it remains in ruins as a once bustling trade city and now a very small town. Here I will anwser any questions people may have, and a few of my own. Aren't you just copying the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena? Actually no I didn't even really think of it at the time when I made this RPG. I do respect the artist for that particular anime though and tried to find another word other then 'revolution' but it seemed to suit it so well. Actually the plot is much different from that anime, as similar as they may seem. This is kind of cliche isn't it? What is with the bad graphics and music? I might not make the most attractive graphics, but I think they are pretty good considering I'm using an old version of Paint Shop Pro. I wanted it really simple. As for cliche', I think my idea may sound like it but I'm thinking of putting a lot of twists into it. I had fun coming up with it. As for the music, I always just think it adds a nice touch. You can turn it off near the bottom if you like. If sunlight never reaches shadow territory then does nightfall ever happen in light? Ironically, it should be that way but it isn't. "Shadow" was created by contamination and the first revolution, so it was more of a mistake. Light is how the world use to be before the first revolution. I hope that makes sense. Where can I find out more information about the World of Caldroth? If you feel you need to know more besides the information given in the underground thread feel free to ask me questions below especially if you are confused about anything or even the sign up.
I personally haven?t had many problems with neighbours, there?s the occasional disagreement (neighbours or us being too noisy) from both sides but it usually gets solved and we apologize and move on.
Same here, usually. We haven't kept neighbors to our right for a steady number of years, same goes for the other side. When I was younger, everyone in the neighborhood was close friends. We could play music as loud as we wanted, dance in the streets, and pretty much anything you could name in the middle of the night and no one would care. We even had block parties on the fourth of july. However, there was always my left neighbors, who was this old german natzi couple that lived next door. The only reason I knew they were natzi's was they had the flag over there TV, and disturbingly my window connects to one of theres directly in which it showed the old man in his underwear watching TV. I swear I shall never see again. This is why I always keep my blinds down. Anyways, when I was a kid I use to walk by on the sidewalk and get harrased. They would "Shoo" me like I was a dog and tell me to get off their property. They even yelled at me when I walked off the sidewalk on this pile of dirt from the construction on the road. Also, my dog ended up running up to their dog when I was taking him for a walk, they had a beagle and it was the meanest dog I've ever met. It tried to bite me all the time and the woman would complain that I had a beast of a dog and that it was always trying to eat her and should be put to sleep immediately. There was also one night where my sister and I was just listening to music inside my room and the old man had the nerve to come over and bang on our door screaming. So as you can see, I've had one crazy set of neighbors that I'll never forget. Eventually they left, but with that we've never had neighbors who have stayed in that house for more then a year. Last I remember, we had college guys living there who would through parties and got caught having sex in the middle of the road. So their dad who payed the rent, kicked them out and now we have two teenagers who are stuck up and a mother who hides from us. Yeah, I think that house has seriously been cursed. My neighboor has since become bland since then.
(It's horrible, but I wish that the poor posters and spammers would come to my forum so I could work harder. =P)[/SIZE']
Dido. But then again, mine leaves little to discuss. (but I love it anyway) Honestly, I've seen the boards go through many ups and downs. New members come in, some leave because of the rules, and some stick around. Usually the ones that stick around end up fitting in just fine and it goes back to being more active again. I agree with the serious talk in the Otaku Lounge, it's alright to talk about such topics but it would be best to keep some of it light-hearted. As long as its not "Whats uR FaV ColoR? LOL!!" as the subject and is going nowhere. Give it time. By posting better quality, you actually influence new members to write back in the same manner. It's obviously close to summer and I don't doubt that highschoolers and others in school are going to have the summer off and are looking for a place to spend free time. So don't be suprised to see a boom of new members in summertime, it should be greeted as a good thing. After all, as James stated, OB has come along way and I'm sure it's not going to stop now. EDIT:
It's 'ditto'. This is Otakuboards, not AIM. XD
Actually I know how its spelt but I happen to prefer Dido. I don't know how else to explain it more then that but I hate using it. It's not as if I substitute U for you or anything "drastic" to those that are highly concerned about grammar. So it shouldn't be much of a problem. The funny thing is, I'm never on AIM :/
-
My goals for the summer, however, are pretty simple: Get my Driver's License( I took the test 3X, not including the one from Driver's Ed, and I failed all of them. It just takes me a while, that's all)
It's okay it took me twice, but you should have seen the first time. Yup it was pretty bad. So be lucky you almost didn't get your head chopped off. Anyways, for my summer I'm going to be doing school full time. I have to make up two classes I dropped, anthropology and beginning sign language. I might also take political science and an english course but these courses are 2x as hard and two hours longer. I will literally be going to school from like 7am till like 5 at night since sign language is only at night. It really bites which means that I'm going to have to work only on the weekends. Yeah, that and trying to squeeze friends into the picture. It will be busy, but I love summer. Even if I don't get to enjoy much of it this time around.
I hold no fear for a mutated form of bird flu. Infact, I hold no fear for any disease, because I know it all part of the Natural Selection of life, and it will only make the human race stronger, so if something kills me, it will be better for humanity in the long run.
How so? Now that?s just silly. How would taking your life benefit humanity? There'd only be triple the births during the time of your death so actually that?s a wasteful thought. It is inevitable whether epidemics occur, that we will always be populating. Besides, I don't want to die and most people don't, you have the right to live as a human being. We're not barbarians where we let people die to keep the population down, at least from my perspective. As far as the bird flu, I do agree with not being paranoid over the bird flu just take it into fact that it does have potential. As far as I know, it's never reached California yet just West Nile virus. There are a lot of diseases going around now, and if you?re worried about catching anything that would be vital to your health, just take it easy. Don't pet chickens on your way home from school and maybe you won't run the risk of getting the bird flu. For now, all we can say is that it HASN'T mutated but it could. The fact that it can grow contagious interests me because that makes it much worse. All you can do is wait it out. BTW, S.A.R.S is still in Asia to this day. I'm sure most people don't even know they have it since it?s said to be very hard to diagnose.

I love the style. It's a bit simplier then I thought, but I love it all the same. It looks great! I'm leaving this open to anyone else though who wants to give it a try though. Who says alternating doesn't work? Thanks.
"Getting serious" would only interfere with my life at this point, and so I am willing to wait until my mid-20's to consider a serious relationship.[/SIZE']
Wow, this here sure beats living in the moment. And how do you expect to find this person? It's ironic because your boyfriend sounds exactly like mine now, who's also in highschool. We're also completely different about everything. Even our age. The way a relationship works when your total opposites is the art of comprimising. Have you explained how you have been feeling lately? I find being open even about the things that he gets overly hurt about (he's sensitive about these things too) is best because it lets everything out in the open. Sure he might be sore for awhile, but eventually its forgotten. Being in this type of relationship is tough, but it's worked so far for me because suprisingly we made it past one year already. We try and be as open as possible, even if the situation is difficult. I do have to say one thing though, for those who say just dump him, that's not the only alternative. If he's being too serious with you, let him know it. Say "I don't want to move that fast" and only if he doesn't back off after the warnings inform him that you will end the relationship. Otherwise, it sounds like you two might need a break from each other. A break can be different things, seeing other people for awhile, focusing on school, friends, etc. which can lead to two things breaking up or getting back together depending on how you feel. Some couples spend too much time together is one of the most common problems. You sound young, so I agree it might be best not to get too serious. My motto is "Whatever happens, happens" because many people who dream of a future together end up breaking up over stuff that hasn't even happened yet. You should enjoy the relationship now, not think where your going to be in 20 years, as it seems he is trying to do (I don't mean to make a generalization but most people in highschool do this). It sounds to me like your his first serious girlfriend. Since I don't know the situation THAT well, assuming you want the relationship gone but don't want to hurt his feelings. Just tell him out flat that he either takes you as a friend or not. It might sting a bit, but if he knows your serious he might take that offer instead. If not, well "theres always more fish in the sea." All I know is if you search for love you'll never find it, but it always finds you at the wrong times.

Hmmm..I'm in desperate need of a new banner/avatar set. I've been really getting back into WOW so I thought I'd celebrate that with the new expansion pack set to come out soon. Below is the picture I would like to use, all I want on the avatar is "Pumpkin" and on the banner with the words underneath saying "Love is my destruction." If anyone could do that for me, that would be great because my graphic skills are seriously lacking. As far as the size, I'd prefer something not TOO small but not very big. Be creative. Thanks! I didn't buy factions yet, I planned too but unfortunately I grew bored of GW and waiting (even though I did get to try out the Assasin and Ritualist classes out a bit) and went over to WOW. Yes I know, but I wanted to get my character up to par when the expansion comes out. When I reach a certain level, I expect when I get bored of WOW, I'll eventually go back to GW again. One thing is for certain, the graphics in guild wars is impressive. While the graphics of Guild Wars is stunning, I think it does lack a certain player economy. Unfortunately there, I have found no roleplaying or met anyone to really play with. I mostly stayed for Kabuki Troupe which is now practically dead. However, I'm re-thinking of getting the factions just to see the new land. I'm kind of hesitant because I haven't been playing in so long, I'm sure to die over a 1000x. It'll be like starting all over again. But I suppose I shouldn't be complaining, after all that's suppose to be the fun part right?

This became useful for the police department in which I got a tip from a local employee that they actually look up your myspace to dig up dirt about you. I know this is true because the man that was going to hire this one girl for security control at my work, is in question of whether not to be hired because it says on her myspace how much she loves weed and doing other drugs. Not exactly, an ideal candidate for controlling security within a store. So if you ever write a blog about your work, just warning you that they might actually check your myspace to see what your about. People are more open on their myspace, thinking that no one that lives around them can actually find their page, when all it takes is a click of a button. I just felt compelled to warn people.
I guess I don't understand everyone who's railing on MySpace, whining about how it's a popularity contest or how it's a complete waste of time. I personally find it fun in a way that Xanga never was -- it's much more interactive and community-based instead of just reading someone's angst-ridden blog entries, or writing your own for that matter. I have a theory that when things get really popular, it becomes cool to hate it. It's happening with iPods in my school, and I suppose there's an anti-MySpace following now. I don't really see what there's to hate about it ... so what if people only add friends to have more than others? Why not be content with interacting with friends, as well as potential friends? I can totally understand if it's just not your cup of tea, but there's no sense in railing on it just because.
I don't think that I was "railing" on it, and no I didn't say that there was anything wrong WITH myspace itself. Infact, I like finding out people I know IRL have a myspace and adding friends. It's just some of the people who have become addicted to it that truely bother me. I guess it's an alternate now for AIM and Cellphones. Only its even less attachment to a person. For me, it feels as if our community is growing further then coming together, but that's just my opinion. It could feel differently to someone else. I like its perks and yes I do like to use myspace, its when it gets to the point that thats ALL anyone wants to do. When you use myspace as an escape from real life and actually never see your friends that bug me. And believe me, you might think it sounds ridiculous but there is truth to this. When it's all someone does all day instead of being with their friends IRL, yeah well, that's pretty sad.

I thought I would post an update on my thoughts about Myspace. Each passing day seems wasted to me, as I go inside my college library and see all the computers taken up not by students actually looking for research but wasting their time inbetween classes on myspace. It's become this craze that has kept people from actually getting out and hanging out with their friends, instead they want to be lazy and just post comments. Its kind of sickening in a way, it's obviously some kind of internet popularity contest. For now, I keep myspace for people that I've become friends with and friends that I know IRL only. Other then that, I try and not waste my time with it. It didn't hit me until someone had told me that they went on it everyday, and once I had time to hang out with my friends I realized it was much better then just sitting on a computer talking with them. If you have a myspace, be sure to take a break every once in awhile, it seriously can suck out whatever life you have . I only wish I were joking lol.

Heeeey. Yeah I really need a new banner/avatar set. I really want something with more of an edgy look that says "Dee" and underneath it "The only letter that counts." I also would love to have Dee on the avatar too. If you want to pick out an image or do your own style, feel free to be creative, the image is just there so you don't have to do a search. Thank you Click Here for Picture
I would definitely be shot. It would probly be a lot quicker, as long as I was shot in the vitals and not left to die of bloodloss from a bullet to the foot. ;) Would you rather eat ground glass or be locked in a nice, fully furnished and staffed mansion for the rest of your life being forced to watch the horrible dubbing and editing Fox has done to One Piece, Shaman King, etc.?
Preferrably the second one, I've had my fair share of having to sit through some pretty lame shows.......*ahem* Laguna Beach. Anyways, I'll chose something easy this time. I'm trying to lure away all the "gory" and "death" questions floating around. Would you rather be rich or famous?

1. If your avatar has a character, what race, age (if applicable) and gender is it? (avatars without characters are neutral or asexual) Japanese, 16/17, female 2. Would you say your avatar is masculine, feminine or both? Why? Feminine probably because it has a romantic setting and Doumyoji doesn't appear to be very masculine in this particular picture. 3. Does it have mature or childish attributes? Most likely Childish. 4. What gender and race are you? White female 5. When you meet someone online, unless they specify, do you feel you naturally think of them as white? (Answering yes is not racist - this is much more common than you think) Sadly, like many others yes. But I also tend to think Asian or Mexican. I never really think of other races such as African Americans, Arabics, etc. This probably is due to the fact that most of the people I have talked too are from the US, Australia or England. When I think of England, for some reason I think of really pasty white people. No offense. It really is a bad stereotype that needs to be broken. 6. Do you roleplay? If yes, identify your roleplaying character in terms of race, history, gender and sexual preference (if applicable). I only really roleplay on MMO's or here. If its here, I'll roleplay anyone that fits whatever RPG I'm in, as far as MMO's I'm usually Yavela Dubrin. 7. Have you ever been mistaken for another race or gender or have been asked due to the lack of detail in your profile? I've been asked but I doubt it's due to the lack of detail in my profile. I've never been mistaken for another race before. I guess that means I sound white online. 8. Have you mistaken others for being of another race, age or gender? How many times (if applicable)? Sometimes if someone here has a name or signature that is of a female or a girlish name, I just assume that it is a woman. However, a lot of times I'm mistaken. I have to admit, I've thought Desbreko was a girl for the longest time, and I reminds myself that she is actually a he (sorry about that!) for some strange reason. It really shocks me how you can label something feminine and just assume its a female. 9. What does your online nickname mean or how did you come up with it? Pumpkin is just something I made when I came here to OB, as for Dee that is my actual nickname IRL. I got pumpkin by pure thought one day, and yes I had it before pumkin came on Flavor of Love (I really resent her) if any of you have seen it. To be honest I was hoping New York would win, eh. But back on topic, I think it's just something that stuck to me and lately people at my work have been calling me pumpkin. Talk about coincidence. 10. Do you think people online tend to correctly guess your age, race or gender most of the time without being told? MOST of the time...they can guess my age or they believe I'm younger. Because I talk about school, most people assume that I mean high school when I mean college. I get a lot of teenagers talking to me, which I don't know is a good or bad thing. People can definately tell that I'm a female and that I'm white. That's pretty much a given. 11. Do you think people tend to correctly guess your sexual preference without being told? Yes. I think I make myself pretty clear with that one. 12. Would you feel threatened if people online knew your age, gender, race or sexual preference? If so, why? No. I can't say that I'm an open book, it's not like I like to hand out my phone number. But I don't mind telling people the basics, I'm 18 years old, I'm white, straight and 1/2 hungarian (in other words, I'm white). I think thats pretty much self-explanitory.

Wishes you say? Hmmm...I can think of a few.... Well I have had a strange desire lately to buy a belly dancing outfit since I've always found Arabic-style onces that are hand-made to be extremely beautiful. I've always wanted to take up some kind of middle-eastern dance. I guess I'd have to agree with Japan and say I've also wanted the XBOX 360 unfortunately all I've heard is bad reviews about it so I doubt I will purchase it anytime soon. I also want an i pod but too me there too expensive just to listen to music so I refuse to take from my income for that. Another that I want to buy that is a bit wierd is fake eyelashes. I've wanted them for awhile now although I don't know why since I can't see myself using them for anything except a special occasion. I also want a chocolate bunny for Easter. They are just too cute.

Hmmm..I'm actually glad this topic was brought up. I once read here on OB (I'm sure some of you remember it) about two girls in Canada who baked cookies for their new neighbor and left it on the doorstep. Only thing was it was at nightime and they ran away once they rang the doorbell as a kind of "welcome to the neighborhood prank". Apparantly, the old woman was "scared to death" of the baked cookies and called the cops claiming she almost had a heart attack. The girls had to write a written apology and pay a fee. They almost got arrested for it which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. The sad thing is my friend and I played pretty much the same prank with our old neighbors. However they were frat boys, so they didn't really care and infact took our cookies. Ignore my custom title, I swear they were not poisonous. No one can resist a chocolate chip cookie. Except maybe a cranky grandmother.

So what if something is cliche? I say if you really want something, go for it. Personally, even if Kanji tattoos are common, I still want to get one on my lower back. That's really the only place I find tattoos attractive on females, that or your ankle. Which as CHW points out is extremely painful, infact I've heard it's one of the worst ones since it's hitting bone. I'm a big chicken when it comes to pain so I doubt that I could ever hack up the courage to actually get one, but if I don't get a kanji symbol, I'd probably get a little fairy or one of those designs that goes all the way across the lower back. As far as piercings go, I have three done on each ear and I hope to get my belly button done and my nose. But I'm highly afraid of needles, so when this will happen will be definately way into the future.

I guess I don't really share everyone's passion for "fuzzy warm socks". Growing up and to this day, I've always despised wearing socks. If you could run barefoot without hurting your feet, then I would gladly do it. I don't wear socks unless I have too, and that usually means to me the winter time. It looks pretty silly to wear flip flops or heels in the winter time, so unfortunately yes I do wear them. I guess they are "regular" white ones. I use to wear dark navy and black socks but since then I mostly just stick to my plain old white ones. It's not as if anyone ever sees my socks however, since this winter I've been wearing boots mostly. To be honest, I can't see why people would like feeling something on your feet, I love to give my toes some air so it can breathe. But that's just me.
To me immortality means that you'll be remembered long after you're dead. I guess loving and being loved helps in that. ;D
I guess this point really strikes home to me. Immortality is based on being remembered. I think love can make your memory live on longer, but not forever. Like Retribution stated, those people are going to pass away sometime. When they pass away, your memories will cease to exist. Unless your family keeps some kind of record of your history, I suppose you could consider that immortality.

My mother believes in it seeing as she has gone to a physic and actually payed money for it. However, I can't say that I believe in most of them. If there are real "physics" out there, they are not the ones charging you money for readings. I believe it would come naturally not the ones that can "see into the future" anytime they so choose too. That is just a load of crap. The physic that my mother went too sounds like a joke, apparently I'm going to move up north with some guy, get married and have three children. This goes against most of my plans since I plan to move to a University in Southern California, I plan to adopt and I've planned never to get married (thats not to say I couldn't have a boyfriend). My views haven't changed for 5 years so what will make them change so drastically? That's not to say that it couldn't happen, but that's just kind of an odd assumption about me especially since it goes against what I want for my future. Physics are a very hard topic to understand especially since I don't know many to judge on. But for most of my experiences, I'm too complicated of a person for them to get a "reading" on me so I'd have to say more then half are in it solely for the money. I'm almost waiting for the next one to tell me I'm batman, which actually might turn out to suit me just fine.

Simply Wow. I didn't even realize this was up yet. Congratulations to the nominations that won. Also, thank you Shy for letting me participate in the comittee, it was definately a rewarding experience. I was glad to see QTK up there even if it might be on the rocks right now. To Retribution and Delta, the images look so gorgeous. It's simple and yet it looks extremely elegant all at the same time. You guys are amazing and I hope you decide to participate for the next one as well. I could not help but crack up at Dagger's comment "I'll always love you, even if no one else does" because it simply is true. I see her posting real in-depth conversation in the anime lounge while it seems to be one of the most neglected areas. Kudos to her for putting up with it. I do have to admit, I have spelt Desbreko's name wrong many times before....or is it Debresko? Either way, your name is still one of the most unique out there.
