b. be the jerk/ette who does nothing but emotionally harms the person that seems to have fallen in love with you.
I've gone through enough relationships with jerks that I think its about time that I be the "jerkette" for once. So yes, I would willingly be one especially to my last ex-boyfriend. 1 point for women, 0 for Men. A. Would you rather have a sex opperation and have to live as an extremely good looking woman/man for the rest of your life? B. Or would you rather be your own sex but be forced to be unattractive and unapproachable by the opposite sex? BTW: What is up with the deaths of Teletubbies? You know you like Tinky Winky.
Really? I've gotten my hair chemically straightened about three times now (I don't really plan on doing it again because my hair was never that curly in the first place) and it appears to be in good condition. I hope it's not dying on the inside or something. o_o

Side effects of a bad chemical hair straightening treatment can include total or spot hair loss, hair breakage where hair breaks at the scalp line, bald spots scalp rashes, irritation and potential scarring of the scalp. In rare cases, if burns occur on the skin, these can leave scars as well. Also, hair may stop growing temporarily or permanently as a result of the chemical treatments.
Make sure you go to someone that knows what they are doing because it can result in you losing your hair or worse, leave a scar. I'm not saying you should not do it, but it's the most damaging thing you could do to your hair. [strike]If you've only done it three times, I wouldn't worry much as long as you did not do it within the same month[/strike]. (It lasts for about a year, imagine that) The way you can tell if your hair is becoming damaged if it becomes thinner and breaks off easier then before when you brush your hair. If that happens I would wait awhile before doing it again just to be safe. I know this because I was thinking about getting this done too until my hairdresser told me it would damage my hair, it didn't seem worth it to me because my hair is not really that wavy to begin with. Why I love OB? Now isn't that a tough question. It's pretty much the most organized forum that I've ever been on so that the topics remain on topic (atleast they try too) and the moderators are pretty nice, just strict on you following the rulebook. But who said that was a bad thing? I could list all the people I've talked too, how great friends on here are, and such but I'm going to skip down to what attracted me to OB in the first place. You don't have to love anime to be a member. Simple as that. This has brought forth a different crowd altogether. There tends to be a lot of dry humour that goes on, and some of the jokes can be a bit [strike]corny[/strike] strange but it's all in good fun. I do like anime but atleast it makes it so you don't have to be a fanatic to join or participate in threads. My favorite sections would have to be the Otaku lounge, Adventure Arena, OB Anthology, PC/Mac and Music, Movies & TV. I said PC/MAC because I play a lot of MMO's and like to see what people are interested in and new updates even though the section seems a bit, neglected most of the time. I really wish people would post there more often. If the Adventure Arena wasn't there, I don't know if I would be here today to be honest. OB gives me a chance to do writing since I'm artistically challenged and I'd be laughed out of the Art Studio if I ever posted anything. It gives people something they can contribute too. Oh, and then theres the people I talk too.

I was very sorry to hear that Desbreko left, because he was always on 24/7 and I had a feeling the guild would crumble. I really dislike the idea of watching QKT fall, I've rarely seen many forums that had its own group within an MMO before. Lately, I've been bored on Guild Wars because I will admit, there is not that many intelligent people to talk too. I think it could work out if we had some kind of event coordinator or something to make people get online more often. More fun events, I think social aspects is what is really lacking within Guild Wars in which lately it seems to be just grinding to the next level or obtaining money is the only objectives. It's hard to find someone out of the "LOL I PWNED U FoOL" talk that goes on in Lion's Arch and other big cities. I'm even thinking if this guild breaks up, (which I was looking forward to actual talking with fellow OB members) that I should switch to Everquest II. I do have to say this though, there is no point in passing on QKT to another OB member if we're all going to be spread apart. I mean what good is an OB guild without the members? I hope things work out for the best, but I'd love to know beforehand if the guild is being disbanded for sure or not.
My advice is to just let him go. Obviously all he really seems to see you as is a well... it'd be edited by this software so I can't say it. I know you still have feelings for him. Trust me I know how that goes-that's the hardest part of being the dumpee instead of the dumper. I have to say that if I was his 'new girlfriend' I wouldn't feel comfortable knowing that the guy I'm seeing is sleeping around on me. Actually forget that, I know I wouldn't feel comfortable with it and would probably tell him where to stick it.
I'm going to have to admit that CHW and Katana do have some strong points, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a girl. Since I can relate to your situation through someone I knew (no really its true), I would have to say that I understand you sleeping with him even after you broke up. But now is the time where you have to decide if you want him as a friend or a lover. If you still have feelings for him, you should come right out and tell him if its that bad, in this case you should not hold yourself back for that other girl. It sounds wrong but this is the only way you will get over this. If he rejects the idea, then forget him. I could honestly say the best thing to do with this situation is to distant yourself away from him for awhile. If you value his friendship, distance from seeing each other will always cool things off. The other girls do have a point in saying however, that he IS seeing someone else and not you. You do have to respect her point of view. For your situation however, I see it as you give him an ultimate decision. Either he stops messing with you and you guys go back out or you take the high road for awhile and start meeting new guys that catch your interest.
That straight asian hair thing is way overrated. I guess it's like those girls who have naturally curly hair wishing they had straight hair. The grass is always greener.
Exactly. From my professonal hair dressers mouth he has stated that Asian hair is actually the hardest to curl just as its hard for usually black hair to straighten (you have to chemically straighten your hair which is worst thing you could do to damage it, even bleaching). Since I know a lot about hair, I also know for a fact that if people were satisfied with their hair, hair dressers would be out of buisness. Everything is always going to be better then what you have, its what makes us human. I was a blonde, and now I'm a dark brunette. Eventually I've gotten bored of that so now I want light brown highlights. So don't assume that everything is perfect if your a certain race. Back on topic, I'm 1/2 hungarian from my mother's side. They both speak hungarian and I can't understand it nor speak it because my mother never taught it to me because she wanted me to be "full American". It's the idea that a lot of foreigners came to the states with, that they had to have no accent to be truely american. Even though that is wrong, I never really think much of my heritage as "I'm hungarian", since I was born in the states, and I'm an American first and foremost. I have to admit though, I wish I did have a mix of different races in me, I actually learned in my Anthropology classes that that is actually the most healthy of genes.
He was the Green Power Ranger from the original TV series.[/b']
Thats so funny. I use to have a crush on him when I was a kid, he was the only really attractive one. From what I can see on their myspace page, he's actually in West Hills, CA if I'm not correct, and the lead singer did Vash's voice, I'm assuming the dubbed version? This is pretty interesting news. As far as the music goes, it's alright, I can't really voice my opinion on it since the genre doesn't really appeal to me. The best song atleast in my opinion would be "In My Eye".
Which you perfer?: Living with Micheal Jackson or Living with R.Kelly
Sorry I had to anwser this one, it just stuck out to me. I'd live with Michael Jackson, it's not like he'd do something to me because I'm not a premature boy. Where as R. Kelly well, I'm sure you get what I mean.
Live in a world without Animes or Live in a world without Games
Live in a world without Anime. I haven't watched any in a long time so I doubt it would bother me as much as if I were to live without the Sims (why is it so addicting?). Now let's see... Well obviously my signature was recently created by Delta, it's of the anime Hana Yori Dango in which is kind of a comedic romance that I haven't seen in years but I adore for some odd reason. I seem to like a lot of the older anime artwork compared to the new. It's not the best picture but it's hard to find quality scans for it. Also, the "Hana Yori Dango fan. Deal with it" is just a joke, because its such a girl anime. As for everything else, I had the username pumpkin and now I don't. Self-explanitory. BTW: Stuart, why did you delete your myspace? Just because it has tons of drooling teenagers who's brains have begun to melt from being online too much and its secret plan to take over the world, myspace can't really be that bad. Hmmm...Or is it?

What is the strangest thing you've ever eatten
Pumpkin replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in General Discussion
Well I suppose plain Tofu would do as the one time I tried it, I swear the stuff tasted like cardboard!
Your too brave. I can't even look at that stuff without feeling sick to my stomach. Blah.
My friend's one of them folks who put ketchup on everything and so when I asked her why she requested for a packet of ketchup with her ice cream, she said it's going to use it as a topping. She offered me some of her ice cream and I (being a sucker for weird foodstuff) tried it. The taste reminded me of plain yoghurt. Pretty good, actually.[/SIZE']
What is with people who put ketchup on everything? lol. My sister is the same way. Except she eats grilled cheese sandwhiches and dips them in tomato soup. I've heard that a lot of people do it, but it just sounds too gross for me to try. Also ketchup and eggs. Just no. The strangest thing that I've personally ever ate would have to be squid or rabbit soup. To some people thats extreme but to me it's just seafood. It's pretty good stuff actually, calamari tastes wonderful. I just tell them pretend like it's chicken. However, it was hard for me to eat the rabbit soup since my family has a rabbit as a pet. It tasted strange, not really bad but it definately wasn't the best. Other then that the only thing that I can pick out that is wierd, is that I like to eat my fries with ranch dressing and not ketchup. One thing my boyfriend eats that I find especially wierd is peanut butter && cheese sandwhiches and also Spinach w/ranch dressing. I can understand peanut butter and cheese to an extent, but the spinach I could never handle. Apparently, his step-mother eats everything with ranch dressing, so thats where he gets it from. The strangest thing I've heard so far from this thread is a Peacock's tongue, where in the world did you go to buy or order that? -
I always wondered how you came up with your username CHW, I never figured out how you would think of putting the words Chibi and Horse together. But I'm glad this thread came up because I have a lot of nicknames from people, probably because my name is short and so common so they feel they have to spice it up. My Nicknames
Purplefire : I use to use this on other forums a long time ago. It's probably the name I use to be most known for. I'm known for liking the color purple and it was the spurr of the moment thing that I made this name up. Very few people that I talk to still call me this.
Pumpkin : Obviously my old username on OB. I'll probably change it back once I get bored of the one I have now (yeah, I know you saw that one coming didn't you?). First name on the otakuboards and I can't seem to find anything thats any better. If you have any great ideas for names, PM me and I'll give you a cookie.
Kitty : This nickname is usually called by my close friends. It's mainly a joke that spread to further usage, when my friend called my name which is "Katie" so many times that she accidently kept saying Kitty as if she were calling a cat. Hence, I'm stuck being called Kitty, Kitty cat, Kat, and Katie Cat is one that recently has popped up.
Yavela : The name I usually use when I play any MMO's, recently playing guild wars as "Yazela" just for a change. I've played SWG, WOW, && TSO with the same name so I'm pretty sure some people could recognize me. Of course, I don't have much free time to be playing video games anymore, being an adult can be a pain. Ahh, responsibilities.
Kadee/Dee : My real name or should I say, a changed version of it. I like to spell my name "Kadee" just because I don't like the way my name is spelt. "Dee" is a nickame that I've been recently referred too, and I like it. It's close enough to my name but not as annoyingly as common. So I guess it suits me, I've become accustomed to being addressed as "Dee". It makes me feel "special".
So there you have it. Thats just a mini-list of the nicknames I have, but I thought I'd shorten it as to not bore everyone some more. As for CHW, I still want to know how you came up with such an unusual username lol.
Aww, Dee, you make my life easy. Of course I'm going to pick to be rich and famous and successful. Being stalked isn't that bad, when you have an estate the size of a small town. You'd have plenty of room to roam around. Hehehe.
Yeah but could you handle the pressure from someone breaking into your house every night trying to assassinate you and steal your money? Doesn't sound like a complete paradise to me.
I choose the latter. I've been working my *** off for a science degree for 3 years now, what's two years to me? Also, I must have loads of free time so that I can log on to OB for longer hours (Internet's free at school:3). OB = Serious Business.
It's funny because lately I've been having a similar problem. I have been working way too hard and Delta helped me realize this. Yet again, Delta you are my hero lol.
Would you rather live the rest of your life adhering rigidly to a vegan diet, or be featured on America's Next Top Model?*[/color']
Um wow. This one is easy. Be featured on America's Next Top Model. Who wouldn't want to be? Bring me the moolah. Anyways onto my choices... A genie popped open two bottles that are filled with two different kinds of magical sand. One is purple, resembles small pebbles, beautifully shiny and is smooth to touch but smells of rotten eggs. Tthe other is red, slimy, lumpy, but smells of butterscotch candy (just go with me on this). What will you choose? 1. The purple one symbolizes wealth and royalty. If you use it, it will bring you wealth and riches but you will have a horrible love life and everyone will despise you because of your instant wealth for the rest of your life. 2. The red one symbolizes love and friendship, you will be loved and adored by others. Leadership will bring you a propserous life however you will suffer from worst poverty forever. Okay, so it's a wierd way to put the question, but you all know what I'm getting at. Which out of the two is most important to you. Choose wisely now!

Not too fond of the banner form to be honest. I really do love the letters, interesting and culturally. Especially the avatar sticks out with the guitar, it shows that you really appreciate music (which is something important to me). Overall, I would rate it a 7/10. It looks pretty good but a few more details would make it even better.

Pssh..what do you have against pink now? I actually like hot pink && I'm not afraid to admit that. Ahhh..highschool and their labels. Since I don't "label" people, I'd say being stuck in a Hello kitty room. I happen to think some of the stuff is cute (even though I don't own much of anything hello kitty, most "preps" at my HS at the time stayed clear away from that store). As for the other question, I would pick feeling the pain and torture from everyone human in the world in one second. Because it would be one second, whereas acid can last longer and you could lose a leg. Yet again with what ULX stated, losing your leg would hurt. A lot. Anyways... If you could have the choice between two things, what would it be? A chance to make someones dream come true but something awful would happen to you afterwards (including death). Or To be able to pursue your own dream and be successful at it but would have the bad side-effects of being famous and being stalked all the time.
I'm still looking for suitable pictures for the avatar. Meanwhile, if you want me to change anything in the banner, please let me know. ^^
lol I didn't think anyone would actually do my request. Finding decent scans of this manga is pretty hard. If you can find one, extra kudos to you, you'll be my hero forever. Good luck! BTW..I love the banner. It's perfect.

First, the Imric Kagushi picture the first thing I noticed was you had not completed the feet. I'm sure your working on that at the moment, but for the most part I love how you do hair. In most artist's work they usually mess up with the "shine" part, but here I see it perfectly blended with his blue hair. Now, I could tell you all your artwork is perfect (which it practically is but thats beside the point), the only thing that I could really critize about this one was that I wasn't too fond of the shirt, and the arm length seems a bit long to me. Pirate Alex would have to be my absolute favorite. Despite my love for pirates, again I really like how you did her hair (it looks like mine, nice choice!). I agree with the person who said the sword handle seems a bit off, and her right arm as well. But despite all that, this is simply beautiful. I love her facial expression and her eyes as well as the outfit. Great job on this. As for KKC, I have to agree again that one of the eyes is a bit unproportioned. The dog's body is a bit shady, and at first it was really hard for me to even notice it. It tends to blend into the background too much. The tree also looks like its fading. Still, I love this picture and the fact that you actually have a background to it. It makes it seem more realistic, yet again with the hair (you must think I'm hair obsessed by now) it looks simply gorgeous. The thing in his pocket is also a nice little detail. (Hmmm..what is that by the way?) Just to let you know, that I'm not trying to bring down your artwork Ezekiel. You have some really great talent, just thought you ought to know that.
Well, I have an English accent, and so the entertainment industry decrees that I must play sophisticated villains
Hmmm..and whats wrong with playing a villan? Honestly, I would love to play as a villan. Unfortunately, my voice is too childish or girly for such a thing. I would most likely be placed in the tomboy-can-kick-any-guys-butt-but-crys-at-something-stupid-like-a-bug stereotype. Acts calm and then out of now-where can get extremely upset. BTW...I wish I had an english accent. James bond style.

He actually stopped in the middle of his street just to run outside and check one out. Yeah, he's a wierdo. A car that I just can't help but like are mustang convertibles preferrably the newer ones. I love convertibles, I can't help it. Mustangs just make me like you 2x as much. I also like camaros, ferrarri's and if I could have anything it would be a lambourgini. They are just too cool for words.

This has got to be one of my favorite mangas/animes of all time so I definately wanted to have a special banner to celebrate that. It's really hard to find good quality pictures so I've supplied one for you below. All I want for it to say is "Our bound will never be broken" on the banner. For the avatar I would like it to say "Dee". Other then that, you can be create (try not to make it too big) and do what you think looks best. Thanks!
- Marijana makes you more stupid and forgetful. -The more you use it, the worse you get!
This is just what I need. To be more stupid and more forgetful. Sorry, but I really don't want school to be harder then it is and I have a hard enough time remembering things. I guess most people at school would call me a square because I have not done any drugs because I've been afraid of the two reasons up there. My friend only did pot for years, and it's made him very very slow. I'm very overprotective of my brain because a lot rests on my shoulders to be the first one in my family to graduate from college since I grew up in a family and neighborhood where most people drop out of highschool their junior or senior year. Heck, my own sister didn't even make it past highschool. Alcohol is a different story. Yes I drink. But only when I go to clubs or for a social reason. It can become a serious problem if you do it often. I don't like the taste and I only do it when I want to get a buzz on the dance floor or with my friends. So yes, I'm a very good girl.
I don't have a problem with emo people or their numerous variants. It could be worse, really. They could all be super bright and cheery and singing: I'm so happy! AHA! Happy go lucky me! I just go my way, living everyday! I don't worry! Worrying don't agree, Things that bother you, never bother me~~ Things that bother you, never bother me! I feel happy and fine! AHA! Living in the sunlight, loving in the moonlight Having a wonderful time! So, yeah. Count your blessings.
They had a word for that in highschool. Cheerleaders. *shudder* Although I think I like Desbreko's response better.
You people need to be passionate about things that matter. Not stupid-*** highschool clique drama. If you want to be emo, or emotive hardcore for those that prefer that way, do it. Who cares if people don't think you're 'real'. It doesn't matter. You matter.
Listen to these words. Okay, now follow them closely. Honestly, I can't say I know much about Emo or any other new label thats developed since I've left highschool because simply it doesn't matter to me. I have a neighbor that I've been friends with for a long time and she just started highschool this year while I'm at college. It's hard to relate to her, because she is just experiencing high school and is now in the "emo" scene, which is back when I was in highschool when I hung out with the "punk" scene. It's true when they say highschool is about finding yourself. At the end, all (I'm hoping) find out that labeling people is too much work, and immature and they all grow up when their a senior. She's started drinking and mostly hangs out at concerts. I remember when the punk concerts were in when I was young so I can understand that much. I forget what it's like to be 14 and just trying to find where you belong. I know this phase on her will not stay, I just have to wait it out. I also think that a guy wearing pink or even purple should not be considered bad. Pink shirts actually look nice on some guys. Now if the guy is kind of a fruit, well you know that might raise some suspision. Also, girl pants on a guy. Not attractive. No one wants to see your you-know-what. Just get small boy pants or something.
It revolves around music. It revolves around fashion. It revolves around depression, angst, mySpace, make-up, girly pants, and black hair cut at funny angles.[/color']
Ahhh...I see so it is like punk, but softer. Like less heavy metal and more poor-me attitude & music right?
It's not what I consider to be real emo, it's simply what emo is. The main difference between emo and what is considered emo now is the fact that, well, they sound NOTHING ALIKE.
Sorry but I can't help feeling like your being ignorant. But then again, people say think about punk, preps, whatever labels kids come up with nowadays. People are always "wanna-be" goths especially if they shop at hot topic, they are considered "posers" instead of maybe just liking the cloths there. Everything is also described as "Not what it's use to be" and that they are a "true" whatever. It's such a waste of energy to fight about something or care about something so stupid as that when it most likely won't be around for 5 years to come. Tell me what is respectable about being emo , and then maybe I will see your point.
Labels to some extent are there to help us understand who we are and to identify with others. It doesn?t really say who you are but it does give people a point to start with. Is it sad? I don?t think so, if you took away all labels it wouldn?t change the fact that people want to fit in with the crowd so to speak. And wanting to fit in is part of who you are.
Its a good point, and I can agree with it if it goes out to teenagers. But then again, why can't people just fit in as being theirselves? Wouldn't it be better to be like for who you are then what your wearing and what "label" your in? To me, if labels were not made, people would feel more accepted then feeling like they had to impress someone all the time.

This sounds sad, but I've never spent Valentines Day with someone special before. Luckily, I have a boyfriend around this time of year for once. When I was younger, we use to keep fake mailboxes in our "cubbies" and we would put little paper valentines in eachother's boxes. Not to brag, but mine was always filled full so I'd try and make everyone in the class one that was special and unique. Now, I don't really do anything. Although....I've been trying to get my boyfriend to buy me something special (babyphat perfume "goddess" *ahem*) and even had my mom hint to him about it. Even if I do end up getting a nice gift, that's not whats important. I suppose this year we'll probably go on a nice date or something. Which is nice, because we're starting to act like a boring old married couple. It's nice to try something new.

Attack of the Munchkins: This happened when I was in middle school. Three friends and I always hung out by this tree at lunch, and one time there was a group of 1st - 3rd graders that were coming to play at the playground. We thought it would be nice to go talk to them, so we did. Big mistake. We ended up accidently telling them about the student store where you can buy candy and other goodies and then they started demanding we give them money. There was this one kid that kept demanding fifty cents. We thought they were joking so we just kept laughing. But then they ran and attacked us. They literally ripped us apart from one another, and I watched as my best friends shirt got torn off by the 50 cents kid. Now keep in mind this is like 7 little kids on each one of us, and I was only like 12 at the time. If I hurt them, I definately would have got in trouble too. How we escaped, I'll never figure out. But we ended up being late for class and came out with our hair messed up and our clothes ripped with some bruises. No one believes our story but I remember those evil little munchkins *shudder* especially the 50 cents kid.
Blood Blister from Hell: When I was in the 7th grade, we had to play hockey in the gym. I had never been good at sports, so I decided to stick this game out and just talk with some friends when a guy made fun of me saying that I was just "scared". Being the stupid girl that I was, I actually took offense to the comment and challenged him to a re-match. When the teacher set the puck down, we both went for it. Unfortunately, his hockey stick slid up mine and smashed my pinky finger. It ended up swelling up and forming a big blood blister. It doesn't sound bad, but believe me it hurt.
Sprained Ankle: I was around 13 or so, and I was chasing this guy that had punched my friend. We've been enemies since I was around 2, no joke. He ended up throwing rocks at my feet, and I ended up slipping and falling in a bad situation. I started laughing about it until a bunch of pain came from my ankle. I usually don't cry ever, but in this case I did. My mother didn't believe that my ankle was sprained until it began to swell up and turn purple. Then I ended up going to the doctors, and they told me my sprain was the worst I could get, and that if I broke it, it would have been a lot less painful even.
Basketball Drama: Again, in P.E. in middleschool. It's funny how many times I have seen this in movies, but never thought it would happen to me. I heard my name being called in gym class, so I turned around and the ball ended up hitting me in the face. I apparently blacked out and woke up looking at the whole class in a circle around me and my P.E. teacher. They were asking me if I was alright and if I'd like to go to the nurse's office, and it took awhile for me to come back to my senses. I ended up saying I was fine and continued playing basketball, even thought my head was killing me and my back ached. It was an embarrasing moment then, but now I just find it funny.
Nerve damage to my Neck: Probably one of the most painful incidents in my life. When I was in the 1st grade, I remember bending down to give my father a hug (he was sitting down), when my neck made this popping noise. Next thing I know I was screaming and my neck had like a spasm. I could not move my neck for three days after that, and then finally my parents took me to the doctor and I ended up coming out in a neck cast. I had to wear it for like two weeks. It was probably the most horrible feeling, not being able to move your head up even out of bed.
So I guess it's safe to say I've had quite a few injuries. Although, I haven't had any recent ones, and I'd like it to stay that way.
