1.
But, in the book, didn't it seem like her life did revolve around him?
Yes your right. It does. But if you listen in movie (which I just saw last night and it was awesome), this also gives you hints as why the Chairmen is so important. Before him,
she felt like she had no other reason to live for because her sister was gone and she couldn't leave. Therefore he had been the only person to show her kindness and at first it started out her just wanting to see him again to wanting to be with him romantically the second time they met.
Also, for those of you who saw the ending
she states "This is not memoirs of an empress or queen etc". When they were under the cherry blossoms the chairmen says "You always expect happiness to last forever, but happiness comes in small doses" (something close to that) the moral I suppose of the story was Sayuri got what she wanted, it wasn't something spectacular or a hero's story but it was what made her happy.
I felt bad for Nobu though, in the book, he was always much nicer to her and was willing to become her
husband instead of her just having a Dana (be a kind of mistress since the chairmen already has a wife and kids).

But the end was a big let down, I wish I knew if Sayuri ever found her sister again.[/color']
I don't think
she ever does because in the book she moves to New York or some place with the chairmen. In the movie she quotes "And that was the last time I would see my sister again".
It's a mystery that I would love to know especially since Sayuri became so famous and her sister never once seemed to sought her out again.
Hey Pumpkin- now Mameha was
Pumpkin's little BF and the part where she's mad at Sayuri for taking her place as adopted daughter why you changed your Screen name? Or did you really like Mameha a lot better
[/color']
Actually the funny thing is I choose the username pumpkin not 'cause of the book, it was only later that I remembered there was a pumpkin in memoirs of a geisha. Actually to anwser your question, it would have to be a tye between Pumpkin and Mameha. I liked Mameha's character in the book, but I loved how Pumpkin made such a difference. You have to admit she really added to the book & movie with her
betraying Sayuri her childhood friend and the irony of it because it was like they switched places.
I just wanted to change mine and I couldn't really think of anything else but Mameha which I've used on many other forums. OMG, now you've got me thinking of changing back, see what you did? J/K. Good question I didn't think anyone noticed.
Hatsumomo was actually the most beautiful, at least in the parts when she showed up.
She's actually the most gorgeous in the book too. Sayuri just builds up popularity. Despite her meanness, I find her character to be unique and ironic.
  2. It can in turns make a relationship complicated, but like many other stated love has no boundaries. If you really care about the person, age shouldn't matter. I know I'm a good example of this because my boyfriend is 17 and I'm 18. Now this might seem like not such a big deal, if he wasn't a junior instead of a senior. I'm going to college now, and he's still got two years of highschool left. It makes it hard for me to relate to him because he's still going through highschool. I admit he's more mature at times then most high school boys, but he still can have that attitude where he thinks he knows everything even about college although he's never been there yet. If we last long enough however, I guess we will have one year of school together until I transfer to Sacramento or Long Beach State. Age makes things complicated. But it can be done.

    The Gorillaz
I myself have been a huge fan of the Gorillaz since "Clint Eastwood" debuted. I loved loved LOVED 2D and in fact I think I still am. I could never figure out what it was about him that I loved, but I discovered what it was this week. And I'll NEVER tell. But my current song is definately "DARE." Oh my HOLY GOODNESS I can't stop listening to that song for the life of me. And the video is very fun.[/color']
I have the same problem as Asuka, I keep listening to "Dare" infact I'm listening to it right now lol. For some reason, that beat is addicting. I have their old album and I loved their old songs and I'm glad they came back. I really need to pick up their new album, I really like both their new singles because even though they have the same uniqueness the songs are a bit different then I'm use to hearing from them. "Dare" is definately different. I'm in love it.
  4. It's funny because I remember in 2000 when I was like what 12, I fell for this. There was all kinds of petitions and hype about it. Like Solo said, photoshop and other programs can digitally create anything to appear real. I forgot how they did it, but I think they took pictures of actual cats and graphically edited them. Don't worry about the site, it's been up for several years now. These college students were just bored and got a kick out of getting hatemail. I admit though, the pictures do look real.
  5.
Mameha...ohh..sounds very pretty... XD Username: "Mameha" can be from either the name of one of the main characters in "Memoirs of a Geisha" or it means 'devoted', so either you like a certian character from this story or you are devoted to a certian place, someone or something that you believe in. Avatar: You have Misato and Kaji from Neon Genesis Evagelion hugging/ holding each other (I know this cause I tried to make an avatar/banner set for you XD), so that might mean that you are a very romantic person and like to hug/ hold someone that you love or thinks is very special. =) Banner: Your banner also has the same picture as your avatar, but with the words, "Sometimes...I can feel you close to me.." It can mean that the person that you love that even if they are very far away, you know that they are always in your heart and soul. Sorry if it's off the mark, but I totally like the way it represents you. Yay!! Someone tell me what my thing means to everyone now!! XD
Which were really nice banners too by the way. I think you represented me pretty well. I told myself I would never make a username that was in a movie, but I was going to change my name to Mameha before Memoirs of a Geisha was about to come out because it's one of my all time favorite books. I love the couple Kaji and Misato (especially Misato because for some reason she reminds me of myself) so I chose that for my banner/avatar set. But I like your reason better. So good job!
Aren't the characters actually Korean? I recognize the circles as Korean.[/SIZE']
Yes, I think you might actually be right. I thought that it was japanese because in her profile it tells of her love for the culture. (yeah I cheated XD) Anyways.....I guess I'll do another one...Sinistra Username: Sinistra. You either picked this because your a sinister and like to play pranks and wreak havoc (my favorite word haha) around the world or maybe you were named for the fixed star, Sinistra. The word sinistra refers to the left side. What that is suppose to mean? I have no idea. Banner/Avatar: You are obviously a big fan of Asian music. One which happens to be Gackt who I use to listen to by the way. Your avatar shows that you are caring and you love animals especially dogs. Maybe you own a dog that looks like the one in your avatar. Sig: Your attending a Gackt concert in Christmas or atleast are going to watch it on TV. You want everyone to have a Merry Christmas or atleast convince everyone that you do. You love december and winter. You will get lots of presents this year. Okay so I don't exactly know that, but you should.
  6. Okay let's see....Citrus... Username: Citrus means "Any of various evergreen, usually spiny shrubs or trees of the genus Citrus, such as the grapefruit, lemon, or orange, native to southern and southeast Asia, having leathery, aromatic, unifoliolate compound leaves and widely cultivated for their juicy edible fruits that have a leathery aromatic rind. " obviously you like fruit. A lot. Either that, or you drink a lot of orange juice. Avatar: Sumomo is your avatar, so I take it you want to be known as playful. Your energetic and always willing to be there for someone. Your not a person to wreak havoc on people and make little babies cry (not that I would know anyone who would do such a thing...). Sig: It says "Married to Retri" I'm assuming...wait..let me get this...you had a random conversation with Retri..and you two are now married. Yup, I have some serious skills. Also you are fond of the japanese language and culture.
  7. Name: Yavela Dubrin "Yavie" Gender: Female Age: 21 History: Yavela was born into a life that not many could imagine, in the wilderness of Valera. Her father was a high knight for Queen Esayal in which he was dubbed "The Red Knight" for legend held it that whatever mission he was sent on, he would come back with his armor covered in the enemy's blood with a look so fierce that even the bravest of knights cowered. However, despite this tale, her father was kicked out service and was banished from entering Valera and would be killed on spot if entering any of their cities. Instead of moving to a new nation, they lived out into the wilderness where not many travelers dared to go for there was rumored to have been many dangerous beasts, dark magic, and other horrific things. However, life in the wilderness was not so bad, you just had to be more cautious. Her father never told her why he was banned from the knights to make them live this way, but she even so she loved him dearly. She grew up in a camp with nine brothers and her father. Eventually, travelers and people who were homeless found there way to the camp and they let them stay with them since they had no where else to go. Yavela's mother died long ago giving birth to her only younger brother, Edon when Yavela was four years old. The only female presence that played an important role in her life was ol' Miss Pine. An old woman who was abandoned by her grandchildren in the wilderness so they could benefit from her gold. She was a kind old woman and looked after Yavela, but nothing could replace the bond that was between her and her father. One day, however, her life would take a turn that would change it forever. One day when Yavela was only at 16 she was given the task to hunt for some food and fur for clothes for her family when some wizard bandits had discovered their camp thinking they were thiefs and were hiding treasure. They raided the camp, destroying the homes and tents that were built, and killed everyone in sight. She came back with a bear fur in her hand and game in the other only to discover the blood of her brothers and father at her feet. It did not take her long for her to bury them but for her it felt like hours. Before burying her father, she took a locket he carried in his pocket which contained the letters E.L on them. It wasn't shortly after that she realized that she had not discovered the body of Edon, her youngest brother. There was no ransom note, no body, but she knew there could only be one thing that could have happened to him and that was that the wizard bandits had taken him hostage. Why? Yavela never did find out why or where he went. Her father's misterious banishment. Her family being murdered. She begun to think even her mother's death could have been set up. Her father had always had high hopes for Yavela, saying she looked like her mother and would one day make a great lady. For her, her father was her hero and she wished she could be just like him one day. It was that day that she changed from her mother's last name, Maekros, to Dubrin after her father. She would make sure they would remember that name once more, and she would create her own legend. She would kill the wizard bandits who destroyed her family. She would find her younger brother and would discover her father's past. For the next five years, she traveled to different nations and trained with her father's sword and became a skilled fighter then she could ever believe for her to be possible. It was then that she was summoned. Little did she know, that her anwsers would soon come to her quicker then she ever expected. Personality: Yavela has always had a sharp mind. When she was younger, she loved to read books and stories and is great with strategies. That's probably why she is never the first one to approach someone. She seems to also have a split personality, in battle she is aggressive. She is also very opinionated and has a tendency to not see other's points of views right away. She can be impatient when something she finds is important. Ever since the bandits, Yavela has had a hard time opening up to people, especially magic users. Ever since the incident, she has grown hatred for magic and the people who use it. Since most people know of magic, she tends to not socialize much. At heart she really is a good person and sometimes emotional but puts up a cold shield so she doesn't get hurt. Despite her living with nine brothers, she can be quite feminine. She often likes to say "Just because I'm a knight, doesn't mean I can't be a lady as well" to those who scoff at her being a female knight. It's just one of those pet peeves that she can't stand. If you get on her good side, then she will be the person to go through when you have a serious problem. However, if you get on her bad side, it's best if you wait for some of the heated arguements and a few headaches. Appearance: - link - Yavela has a strong posture and a slim figure although that is almost always hidden in armor whether it be metal or leather. She is extremely tall for her age, with dark brown eyes and dark brown hair that hangs just above her shoulders. She often wears a silver headband to hold her hair back. Yavela is considered beautiful but she would rather be called fierce. She once had long hair but cut it to appear boyish and rough, but instead it just made her appear more innocent to men. Class: Knight
  8.
Hm. Not perfect, not anything spectacular, but it's not bad. I do wish I could've gotten the purple to look... Not so... Neon. If you's like anything changed, just let me know. I'll try to tinker with it a bit more and see if I can get a better purple color, but... Meh. Oh, and I really did like it better red- But I'd forgotten you wanted it purple and had to change it all half way through. That's why the red one looks... Nicer >.

    MySpace

Okay I admit. Lame title. But on a serious note, it seems as if half the world is slowly becomming infected with the virus known as myspace.com. I admit even I have caught the bug. I've noticed that even the people of OB have a myspace or atleast have heard about it. From the fake celebrity profiles to the highschool cheerleaders who always put "I luvvvvv pink" in their profiles, what do you love most about myspace? If you hate it, what do you hate most? Most importantly, I want to know what do you mostly do on myspace? Are you addicted like many other poor souls? Do you have any other OB members on your list? If so, who? Many state that myspace.com is just an excuse for an online popularity contest. Some say they use it for a way to find someone special. Others say that they use it just for finding old friends. Personally, I find it wierd that people are turning to the internet to chat with friends instead of going out and actually hanging out with them instead. In a way it is a sort of popularity contest to "show" how many friends you have. However, I find it can be beneficial if you have friends who live far away and want to keep a cheaper way to stay in contact with them. So in a way, I hate and love myspace we have a complicated relationship. My friend David introduced me to myspace at the time and I told him I would like 3 times. He had to beg me to check it out and once I signed up and got the hang of it, I slowly became addicted. I don't go on as much anymore, because school is more important than a website. But I still wonder why it's so darn successful. So now I ask you OB members, do you have a myspace? What is your opinion and most importantly who introduced you to it?
  10. Define best friend? Whether it's online or in real life counts I suppose. My best friend would have to be my friend Pamela. Our story is not very magical, indeed it's actually quite wierd how we met. The first day of school, I disliked her. She was loud, annoying, immature, and most of all she ended up biting me on the arm leaving a really nasty bruise. Half the school year we ended up hating eachother, until one of the friends we both hung out with was starting rumors about each of us. We ended up banding together just to confront her, and she denied everything. After that, she apologized for biting me and we gradually became friends. Now I'm not going to say that we never had our arguements, infact freshman year I hated her once more. But we made up, a year later. We have a really wierd relationship that seems to be off and on but we still talk to eachother till this day. Infact, I just had lunch with her a few days ago. For those of you who have friends that you have known since elementary school, you are lucky. I've lost most of those friends to drugs so I don't really know the feeling. A best friend should be someone you count on and even though we have our bad moments, I know she's the person I would go to if anything serious were to happen. As for online, I only have few people that I talk too. Acouple people from Minitokyo and a guy that I use to play Star Wars Galaxies with (and that was like over a year ago) who I'm trying to convince to get Guild Wars and play with me. But no one that I'm really close to anymore. It's hard to trust people when they are online because to me they can change their personality anyway they want too. But if you want to prove me wrong feel free to IM me or send me a PM. lol. Even some hatemail would be nice to know that I exist sometimes. I am open to meeting new friends too however = )
  11. Well, I changed my name from Pumpkin to Mameha so I was wondering if anyone could make me a new banner/avatar set to match. So below I've posted a picture of Mameha and Kaji, I was hoping for something that looked cutsie and kept the purple theme with the saying " Sometimes I can feel you close to me.." and then the name mameha in small letters in the far bottom right corner. I'd love it to be a smaller size then the one that I use to have (doubt anyone will remember that) but I hope you get what I mean ^^; Click If you could do this, it would be much appreciated :)
  12.
I'm a Sophomore at Cal Poly Pomona and I major in Communications with an emphasis in Journalism.
Funny, I was thinking of actually taking a communications class for the summer but I don't exactly know much about it or what kind of career that leans towards ;/ sorry if that sounds dumb. It seems like a lot of people here live in my area on OB. Crazy. But anyways... My name is Katie even though I like to spell my name Kadee so I feel unique and special inside. I'm a girl if you couldn't figure that one out. I'm currently a "freshman" in a community college in the San Francisco Bay Area (north) and planinng to transfer to a university in a city most likely Long Beach or Sacramento State. I major in English but have a interest in Pyschology, Fashion Design, and Journalism. Everyone where I live is obsessed with claiming they made the word "Hella" so they tend to use it in every sentence. Nevertheless I've become accustomed to the headaches and now I find it just amusing. I want to move out of the bay area because it's where I've lived my whole life and most people who live here never seem to leave here for very long (most people from my school transfer to sonoma state university which is close by). I have a boyfriend that I've been going out with now for about 9 months which is amazing to me because I'm kind of picky when it comes to that sort of thing. I can't date anyone that does drugs or smoke and isn't just all about "partying and getting drunk". That's all I ask for, but around here that seems to be a hard thing to find. I don't mind someone who drinks casually but I don't want someone who's going to pressure me to do so when I'm not in the mood too. I struggle with balancing my social life with my academic life. I'm shy when meeting new people and I'm usually not the first one to start up a conversation but somehow people always seem obliged to come and talk to me even if I have no intention of making friends with anyone. I get easily distracted and I'm not the best student although this has been the first year I've really tried to apply myself. I have many acquaintances, and few close friends that I can actually trust. I hate white guys who try and act black like they grew up in the ghetto and then try and hit on me when I have a boyfriend. Your not black. Get over it. I love books, they are like my guilty little secret. If you saw me, you would not guess that I would be such a bookworm. I have a whole computer shelf full of books and four rows of books on my other shelf. I'd love to have my own library. My favorite authors incude Phillip pullman, Garth Nix, Tanith Lee, Celia Rees, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, Christopher Paolini, and Francesca Lia Block. Not very many people in my family are supportive of me becoming an author because theres a big chance that I wouldn't make any money so my second dream job would be to either be a professional dancer (highly unlikely) or a reporter. Dancing has always been a hobby that I will love doing, I've taken up hiphop recently and it's actually really fun to do. My favorite foods are Thai Food, Icecream and Smoothies. And yup, there was my therapy session. That was actually pretty fun. Even though I'm sure I put people to sleep half-way-through it's all good.
Yo. I don't like to burst people's bubbles, so if you're one of those few, feel free to think of me as Katie - apparently I'd have been called that if I were born a girl :p .[/font']
Good Choice Katie =)
  13.
He'll be going to college next year (hopefully) and you'll still be stuck in high school, which means one of two options: a) you break up cause he moves away and/or has no time for you outside of school and work or b) You drop out of school and move in with him and therefor ruin your life, because he'll probably dump you a few months after he realizes he's "not ready for this".....
There's a word I'm thinking of........oh I know what it is car. You don't know if the person she's talking about could be going to a local community college or not, first I would ask him about that before developing a relationship further. As for those who say she shouldn't take the plunge... Haven't you ever heard the saying "it is better to have loved then to not to have loved at all?". If this guy is worth it to you, I say take the risk. What's the worst that can happen? Rejection? Yes rejection does bite, but you shouldn't be afraid of it. It's a problem everyone has but it won't be the end of the world. I think you should take that risk, because if you don't then theres a chance nothing will ever change between the two of you.
  14. I have yet to go Christmas shopping, which shows how much I have no clue what to get the people I know. I have to get something for my boyfriend, mom and best friend and I'm lost. As for me getting gifts, my family decided to donate money to a charity and forget gifts this year claiming it was too "stressful". Then they decided to do gifts, and I have exactly one gift and I guessed what it is too. Let's just say I'm greatful but I already have something that's um..better quality? Most of the presents are going to go to my 2 year old nephew, Austin who's getting toys, clothes, and a powerwheel's truck. But that's expected, 'cause atleast in my family as you get older you get less presents. I guess one gift that I won't use is better then nothing eh? I think my boyfriend may give me one too, atleast I'm hoping lol after all he is my boyfriend and that's what boyfriends do...right?
  15.
I actually thought the animals were quite well done (especially Aslan), but the planes at the beginning were... I dunno. They were very "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow," I guess. Not really a huge problem, since it's just that one scene, but I found it sort of jarring. ~Dagger~

Oh, I almost entirely forgot about those. I actually agree very strongly with what you're saying in that case. It actually took a few minutes before I realized it wasn't a trailer for another film heh.
It's funny because my boyfriend and I who went to see it thought the same thing. We thought it was a preview of another movie that was made by like pixar or something lol it wasn't until
I saw Edward running toward the shack
until I realized it was the movie. I have to agree one thing about the movie though, that it was rushed. When Lucy
went to look for Mr. Tumnus, she found him impossibly in an instant
. In the book, Aslan is suppose to have a frightful appearance and the children are kind of frigtened of him when they first meet however they seemed to warm up too him awful fast. I read somewhere that Aslan was made less-scary because they were scared children would be scared by him and decreased the original size. Personally, Narnia is a children's book, but that doesn't mean there wasn't violence in it. Edmund wasn't as snasty as he is in the book. I think the fact that it was a mini-lotr feel (especially with the battle, which kind of sucked really with poor acting might I add) because I heard the lotr director worked on the film if I'm not mistaken. But anyways, I was dissapointed but I'm definately looking forward to if they are going to make one of my favorite books The Horse and His Boy or The Dawn Treader. Until then, I can only hope. (That and Aslan should be bigger)
  16.
January 20th or 21st, one of those days, it's unlcear... but one of those days, first semester ends. One of those days, I get my life back. I have all my important classes this semester, Art, Science, Math, and English. Homework from the three core classes everyday, consisting of an essay, chapters to read, pages of math to do, and hours of struggling. Not to mention I have to stay after in art class until 5PM on most days to finish anything I do in that class.
I know how you feel...kind of. At the beginning of the semester I had really difficult classes. I dropped most and took dance classes. Before you think I'm lazy, I had an english and sociology class that was pretty tough. I'm putting off math until next year and I'm taking a high english class, Astronomy, Pyschology, Philosophy and Anthropology to kick in some more of my general education and actually get on track. Oh and we get a long break before this semester which would be good, if my teacher didn't give me a 20 page final in sociology due the day before the semester begins. *shakes fist* So I guess my revelation would be that I'm going to have to work really hard this semester. Hopefully then I'll be able to transfer to Sacramento State. So much for my break. Hah!
  17. I've loved this book for as long as I remember since my tutor gave it to me when I was 16 years old. I never thought that they would actually make a movie out of it. It's actually where I developed one of my usernames I go by (Mameha) which is based off my favorite character from the novel. It's a romanticish-kind of drama that involves a girl named Sayuri who gets taken away from her father and sold to a geisha house. She must then learn to survive and learn the ways of a geisha. It's also directed by the director who did Chicago. I guess in a way it sounds like a chick-flick, but honestly I'm not the type that's into romantics or love storys. This is far from the happy ending fairytales that we're so use to seeing on screen and when I read this I actually found myself becoming emotionally attached on everything (which believe me, it's rare for me because I read a lot). So anyways, enough of ranting about this, here is the trailer for the movie which you can find here. If that one doesn't work for you, you can tryhere. I was also curious if anyone else had read this book and what they thought of it. Anyways this thread was mainly just to give everyone a heads up. I know I personally can't wait to see it.
  18. I was shocked when I looked in this forum and did not see a thread up about Narnia yet. I just saw it today and I have to say that some parts of the movie were dissapointing such as the acting in some parts were poor and I felt Peter's character wasn't displayed as the serious responsible child he is in the books. However, I still enjoyed the movie, especially Aslan (although I thought he was going to be a bit bigger perhaps?) I thought that
when Aslan died at the stone table it should have been more dramatic.
Narnia is one of my favorite series and although it doesn't quite have the intensity as LOTR it's still an enjoyable movie. However, this was my least favorite book, infact #4 is my favorite since it tells more about the country Calormen. My question is when did you go to the movie and what did you think? What did you dislike and like? Are you hoping they will continue to make more Narnia movies and which was your favorite book of the series? Feel free to add anything else too.
  19. I've never really liked christmas time. Red and Green I felt never went well in an outfit. However, normally my christmas tradition would be to spend Christmas Eve with my family, have dinner, and open all of our presents. Yes, thats right we open ours the day before and then on christmas when I was younger, I was left with the presents in my stockings from "Santa". This christmas will be pretty grim, as I'm not getting any gifts this year and we're just donating a bunch of money to charity as our gifts. It sucks, but I don't think everyone in my family has been in the christmas mood since my brother in law died this year. It's less stressful and it is for a good cause anyways. I wish everyone a merry christmas. Oh and go see Narnia too. I was a little dissapointed in some scenes but its actually better then I thought it would be.
  20.
Discuss your fantasies with eachother, then try acting them out if you haven't already done so...maybe it is time to get kinky lol ^_~
Doukeshi might be right. It's funny because as of lately, I've been having a similar problem as well so its hard to give advice. There are two reasons why this could be happening though A) Your having sexual interaction too frequently and have become bored of it B) You see eachother way TOO much. Being single and sleeping with someone you barely know will not bring the excitement back into your sex life, infact I would suspect someone would feel more self-conscious being with someone you do not have a bond with. Believe me, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Ever hear the saying, distance makes the heart grow fonder? Well, if you two spend a lot of time together try taking a break from all sexual activities for awhile. Do something else with your time, eventually you will get the "urge" to bend the rules and maybe then it will be more passionate for you. Also, being spontaneous helps. If you do things at random, it can put a little excitement back into your sex life. Also what Doukeshi said, maybe you need to talk to your partner about your fantasies and what not. It really does spice up a relationship. I'll leave the rest to your imagination....
  21. When I'm not on OB, I'm usually doing homework for College. College seems to be taking up most of my time these days especially as I'm preparing for a new semester (we only have two semesters unlike HS). But if I'm not doing that, I'm probably on myspace. I don't know why, but that is one of the most addicting sites ever. I'm always changing my layout and never satisfied with it. Most of it's just a popularity contest, but I like to be able to comment on friend's pages. I just signed up for DeviantArt, as LonelyGeisha and hope to get started on posting some of my drawings, writings, and other works there so you might have seen me on there lately. If I'm not at either of those sites, I'm usually playing Guild Wars which I actually haven't played in quite some time because my computer has been freezing up a lot lately. Yup, I really don't have much time for OB anymore.
  22.
What got me the most was that the only people the movie made you feel sorry for was Jigsaw himself and Amanda
and than it turns out that she's just playing them the entire time. You felt betrayed[/spoiler'] but knew it was pure genius.
I never saw the first Saw, just the second one. But I have to admit it's a pretty good horror film, not the greatest, but suspenseful. The best part is where
the cop ends up being in the place and the boy was in the room the whole time. I started to suspect the girl when she looked after the boy and helped no one else.
you have to admit, it was kind of fishy. Oh and don't watch this movie if you have fear of needles. *shivers* I hate needles.
  23.
Chances are that I'd answer differently if I were fifty years older. But there's a lot to enjoy about life. And how amazing would it be to actually witness everything that happens in the future? Technological developments, countries rising and falling, space exploration... not only that, imagine the kind of positive impact you could make if you had centuries or millenia to work with. I guess I wouldn't want to exist past the end of the human race, though. That would probably be my limit.
I'm going to have to agree with Dagger on this one. I don't blame people for choosing death, it seems like the resonable option. Why watch all the people you love, friends, family and others die? You'll be lonely and if you were close with anyone again you would have to watch them die as well. You'd become cold-hearted otherwise you'd have serious breakdowns every day. But still.... I suppose I would choose eternal life if it mean't helping other people. Despite I would love seeing how this world develops, the future and know the histories, I could also help with not repeating the world's mistakes. If it mean't saving lives somehow, maybe I would do it, but as for fearing death? Naw, actually I don't fear death. Even if I do turn to dust, because I know that you only truely die when your forgotten. People live on in the hearts of others is how I see it I suppose since I don't really have religion to fall back onto. If I were to live on forever, their lives would also be remembered forever.

    The Boondocks

I love the boondocks! Although I have only seen two episodes the hoe & R. Kelly one I do know that it has got a lot of media attention since then since it was featured on VH1's Best Week Ever. It's kind of a black version of South Park and really I don't think it's that bad. Mostly people are shocked by the aspect that they use the N word with an er at the end instead of an ah. The epsiode where the Grandpa gets a girlfriend that's a hoe, I actually didn't believe she was a prostitute at first but a porn star. Beats me. When I saw the previews I thought I wouldn't find it to my liking, but I was wrong. Any show that causes controversy or makes fun of stupid celebrities whats not to like?
  25.
Good point. I don't mind opinions or anything. I just don't understand why some people get their panties in a bunch over it. I mean they are just opinions. That's true you could just start over if you wanted..Well I thank you for your opinion, Outlaw.
Well people have things called a temper and when someone loses their temper, well we all know what happens. Fact is, not everything is going to be all fine and dandy and there is always going to be someone that is going to lose it. It's best to just move on and not let it get to you. It would be nice if everyone learned to accept and appreciate someone else's opinion but thats just not what always works. Flame wars will sadly always be around and frankly it would be kind of boring without atleast some confrontation right? People always say they hate drama but life without atleast some drama life is shall we say boring? I agree with AzureWolf however, most of its for entertainment purposes.
