First of all, the thing that matters most of all, is the writing. Every person has their own style and way of explaining things. But first of all you must have a plot and what I like to call the "catch". Usually the catch is what draws the reader's attentions and makes them want to join your RPG. This is usually what I look for in an RPG and also that it is unique. I like almost every genre but my favorites would definately have to be sci-fi and fantasy. I don't think that whoever joins your RPG is important, you could have tons of new people signing up for your RPG it doesn't really matter. As long as you have a plot that works, people will be attracted to this. As much as I hate to say this, reputation and display really help. I might see someone who I feel makes good RPGS and join theirs if it takes to my liking, but that's not necessarily joining the rpg just because I like the person. It means that I know what to expect and know they have more experience. Display is also important because it's what attracts the viewer's eye, you don't need to have fancy graphics, but maybe just use a small font and maybe seperate it into nice paragraphs. It really helps. Geesh >.
Then why were you in it for a year?
I don't want to make a comment back that makes me sound snippy. But you actually have to look at the situation from my view and I'd have to reveal some personal drama for you to really understand it. Something, that technically I don't really want to do. Not only was he abusive, but the reason I was in it for a year was for one I was scared of him and for two I thought I could make the relationship better but it ended up just getting worse and worse. So there are instances when things can be really bad. I honestly can't remember any good memories, but there must have atleast been one at the beginning. It's just been too long ago. Hope that makes some sense and you get what I mean. Everyone has good memories, but some arn't worth the bad ones.

I just started college this fall, and I have to say that the 'messenger bag' (which by the way I don't use this term either, I just refer to it as my school bag) is much easier for me. I've actually had it since my senior year and it's falling apart already, but still good. I don't know about them looking any better, but yeah as many others mentioned, there are advantages and disadvantages to owning one. For one thing, messenger bags are not specific to one gender, I just suggest you don't get a pink frilly one with rainbows or flowers on it, that might send the wrong message now don't you think? Anyways, some good aspects of it are that you don't have something heavy on your back and as Panda stated and many times has come in handy is that you can fling the bag around to your front to grab papers easily without taking something off your back. Some bad aspects about it are as stated above your bag can get too heavy and pull on your shoulder which has been known to cause some people to have problems in their shoulders and also that it becomes harder to hold onto the bag once its heavy and is not secure on your back. So just think it over. But I'm sure you've already made the best choice for you.

I definately have a temper. But it's only unleashed when someone REALLY gets me angry, and thats often very hard to do (Unless your my older sister). However, as much as I hate to admit this, I'm very naive when it comes to people making fun of me or making a rude comment. I often don't hear when people make sarcastic tones in their voices, and think that people are always nice. I'm usually not mean or raise my temper to anyone unless they degrade someone else, that's the only thing that really ticks me off. Otherwise, no I don't generally get mad. Usually cause I can't even tell if someone is insulting me or not (that makes me sound like a ditz doesn't it?). This can also lead to similar problems to what someone else earlier posted, I tend to take the wrong things seriously. I think that's why guys like to tease me so much, is because they can always get a reaction out of me. I've tried to not respond and ignore things, but I'm easily objective and arguemental. Not the same as a temper, but if you push me enough that easily turns into one. It's just part of my personality. Although, I do notice I have more of a temper at home then anywhere else. Funny really.

Name: Alicia Cambell "Allie" Age: 21 Job: Part-time model & waitress Appearance: Alicia Why are you here?: Alicia has always had a good upbringing filled with gifts, money and such. But ever since she started her modeling job outside of her rich town, things began to shine in a new light for her. She had never experienced love or been looked at as a normal person. She had always been judged because of her beauty or status, it wasn't that she wasn't social, it's just most people seemed to use her to make them look good or for money. It was hard to meet anyone special these days. Men used her for a trophy girlfriend and didn't really care about her in the first place. While she was walking down the street one day, she found a flyer for speed dating. It interested Alicia because in her whole life she had never had anyone to bond with or be intimate with, and this gave her the chance to be looked at normal like anyone else. With her new hope for the future, she cut her long blonde hair and took up the nickname "Allie", and began to start her life for the second time.

Thanks for everyone who tried to help me with the Galrath quest, even though I didn't even make it to the Temple of Ages that night. But hey, we sure got everyone dancing at our dance party in Beetlenun! Snapshots: Thanks for trying to help, it was fun anyways. By the way, if anyone needs rolls of parchment, I've got some that I don't need. ^^; feel free to send me a whisper to Yazela.

Name: Sherlise Evans Nickname: Shirley, Shirls or otherwise known as Good Ol' Shirls (see below) Gender: Female Age: 27 Appearance: You could usually seen Shirley walking down Dustero lookin' pretty professional in a vest with a skirt or her most favorite purple frock with her mini-briefcase. Her fiery red hair tied up in a bun and a few curls around her face, she's a petite lady, with fair skin and just a tad of freckles on her nose. She's not bad lookin', infact some claim her to be a diamond in a ruff, but she never played close attention to the importance of beauty. Rarely does she ever let her hair down or dress up, but when she does all the men in Dustero wouldn't recognize her and mistake her for someone else. Shirley always did wear pearl earrings that her late husband gave her, since that and her watch are always by her side. She takes a liking to delicate things such material things such as jewels and money. "Just the Evans way of life" would she always say, and thats how it was. Personality: She always did love to read, and be taken seriously. Nobody knows why she don't smile much these days, but when you do loosen her up, she's a real sweet gal. Her strict and rich upbringing, is one of her qualities that sticks out most in Dustero. If you don't agree with her, well she'll argue with you 'fer hours until you change your mind. Never can agree on anything with this lady here. She can't stand playboys or anyone that isn't a dedicated or hardworking person. Be best to just lay low if you don't have a job, that will really set her off. Shirley isn't so bad of a person, infact she got plenty of friends at the bank. She just has trouble communicatin'. As long as you don't get on her nerves or set off her temper, we'll she'd probably be the nicest lady you ever meet in Dustero. Especially if you need help for a good cause, and when it deals with money. Everyone in Dustero comes to her for financial advice. Just how things are around here. Occupation: Good ol' Shirls they call her, most the time to get out of paying taxes. Shirley has always been a good banker, which is why she was choosen to be tax collector. Shirley didn't know that people would avoid her for this reason, and didn't realize the task at hand at first. She always did like to be taken seriously for her job and boy, if you said anything to try and change that, you'd be askin' for some trouble. There be countless of times, she been knockin' people over the head for disrespecting her. She never did have the skills to control her temper. Yup, Shirley always loved her work. She's pretty known around town which is why a lot of people suck up to her. Do the people love her? Well, not always. As long as she wasn't lookin' fer nobody then you could say most people thought she was mighty nice and even pretty out of her work clothes. However, she never could stand those playboy types. Hobbies: Despite Shirleys tough nature, she was always up for a game or two. I guess thats why gambling got a hold of her. Her favorite? Poker. Every saturday night you can see Shirley with a group of guys or so, playing a good ol' game of Poker. Usually they bet on not having to pay their taxes if she were feeling nice that day, but othertimes she would bet on material thangs most the time jewelry or money. Shirley always wanted to dance, but her grand-daddy never allowed it. Instead, she likes to watch shows and plays and other theatrical performances. Maybe one day, Shirley too will be famous and be able to perform, for that is her ultimate dream. Weapons/Possessions: A golden watch hangs from Shirley's right pocket in which was an important heirloom from her great grandfather Earl, she glances at it from time to time. It ain't a weapon but it's one of her favorite gifts. She also keeps a handy Dagger on her pocket or in her briefcase which she's pretty handy with frankly and a handgun on her belt in case of emergencies. Sometimes collecting taxes from folks can be dangerous depending on who they are. Other Information: Now Shirley came from a town in the east, some say that she was a school teacher and others said she just ran the bank there. As far as her reason for leaving her home town no one' knows. But then again, nobody really cared. One day Shirley arrived an' it was like she had always been in Dustero. Supposedly Shirley use to be a bride, yet her husband ain't with her so they must be divorced or so. She don't talk bout him except that he left and gave her pearl earrings. Nobody knows where they got married and divorced, who he was or why they are divorced, but it don't seem to matter really, seems she has left her past behind. But as they say "You can't escape the past, it'll always come back to you". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Just thought I'd mention that some of the grammar might be different because I was making an attempt at being western. So sorry if its hard to read ^^;; I tried to make my character as unique as possible. Hope you decide to start this up soon! Peace.
Well. I took psychology this year for one of my electives. The guy, his name is Mr. Erickson, is the biggest anti-communist guy in the town. He's got posters in his room of anti Soviet Union symbols and stuff. So when I first got in there we basiclly has to be admitted to enter by promising to him that we were not communist favoring. Than if you disagreed with him he'd isntantly place you as a communist or someone who favors communism and ignored you the rest of the day, except of course if it interfered with your work. I wasn't pointed out but I have a feeling not one of us is going to make it through the trimester without being accused of being a communist.
Ahh...wacky teachers. I have this new math teacher called Mr. Utter. Yes that's Utter. Wierd last name I know. He will anwser your cellphone if it rings in class and he gets to talk to them infront of everyone. Well, one time this girl's cell went off and he picked it up. I guess it was one of her friends and he started talking to her saying things like "You'll do what in public? No way! I can't even repeat that." and he wouldn't tell us anymore. He cracks the corniest jokes. There also was one guy that left the classroom for some reason and he was like "Was it something I did?". He's just so lame, it's funny. It's one of those things where you just have to be there to get it.

I have horrible nerves when it comes to giving a speech or public speaking infront of a class. I have trouble especially when I know everyone in that class, it's better when it's strangers. For some reason, even though I've almost gotten over this fear, it always comes back to me. I've never really find a "cure" but the best attitude I can go about it is, so what if you screw up? Would if you do really badly? You think everyone's really going to waste their time remembering it? When your older, it's not really important to focus on such petty details. I don't know whether or not I look nervous, I'm told I don't majority of the time but my belly ties in knots. Remember to talk loud as it shows your confident and stay on topic. That's the hardest point for me, as I somehow get memory loss. I love to do presentations with notecards for this occasion. It really isn't so bad once you get passed the point that, you shouldn't care what others think of you. Just think it's about the grade, not the class. Focus on that and that pretty much works for me. I agree with Imi, imagining people in underwear and funny hats doesn't work, and if it did, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to talk. Some people you just don't want to imagine in their underwear. O.o;
Does a cultural difference count as a race? If it does, I have this to say: I like to play out the Canadian sterotype, really. Being sterotyped as the most polite people on earth with a slight love for beer and violent sports isn't the worst thing to be sterotyped as. But as a cultural race, I think that sadly we do typical view ourselves as more moral than, say, Americans - and this may be entirly based on certain actions by a certain government *caugh* - but it's not really true. As a generalization, Canadians are all 'We're not with them... For the last time we aren't with them!' because we generally view ourselves to be superior, morally. Wether it's true or not... well... The only real problem with this, though, is that the only people really effected - Americans - don't give two flying rats' ***** about what Canadians think and therefore we're just screaming 'WE'RE BETTER THAN YOU' into a wall of lead. But as long as it makes us feel better... But when Americans come to Canada, across the preverbial wall of lead, they're is a feeling of tension between many Canadians and Americans - a sort of sick, culturally bred hatred, mild or extreme. So, ya, Canadians feel superior to Americans, but only feel dominant when Americans come to Canada, and Americans only typically feel inferior or opressed while in Canada. I've been to America for extended periods of time, and I generally get a similar vibe. The above is, of course, based entirely on the Canadian-American stereotypes.
I don't know about this, really. I don't know how you can tell someone thats from Canada unless they have a really strong accent. And honestly, I wouldn't care. I don't think I'm better then anyone else. I'm half-hungarian but that doesn't mean people first notice that about me. Anyways, I tend not to cling to racial stereotypes especially when I was in highschool. When you go to college, it's completely different. I've been told I don't act like I'm white and act more black then my black friends. (Who yes some of them act "white" and there's nothing wrong with that) I make friends with all kinds of people. I do know I get stereotyped by people in other states however. People view Californians (New Yorkers too) I think differently. In New York they are thought of as rude and too busy to care about anyone and Californians are we are all rich, snooty, and are beach bunnies that like to party all the time (*cough*Laguna Beach*cough*). This was especially hard for me when I go to Oregon to visit my aunt or Texas to visit my uncle. Especially since I had blonde hair, SOME people assumed that I was not intelligent and since I was from California, that I was rich. Mmm okay.
Yes, but you must keep in mind that it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. You'll keep your bad memories of the relationship, but the good ones as well. The people who haven't dated got jack squat :P
Actually would if there is no good memories? Then wouldn't you regret that relationship? I know I've had one that lasted a year, and I have absolutely no good or fond memories of starting that relationship. Solution? Yes there is sometimes where it's better not to have loved. But it happens anyways because well thats life.
Hmmm... Only sixteen and been to dozens of raves... For some reason I question this statement, but whatever. I would say, assuming that it is true, that your parents need to exert a bit more control over you. Plus I'm relatively sure it's against the law for you to be there, being underaged (unless your parents took you, which would be awesome). Both of the raves I went to were after I turned 18.
You wouldn't believe what teenagers can get into :devil: not that I would know or anything. Actually I've never been to a rave before but I've known many people that have gone to them in San Francisco. Supposedly, raves can get pretty dangerous and I heard stories about people constantly getting into fights and girls being taken advantage of. But I'm sure its a lot of fun, honestly I wouldn't go to one drunk or on anything just out of the fact that there are people who are willing to take advantage of you. I've gone to many clubs however, and even though there are still fights (rarely where I'm from), the music is mostly rap, and people get drunk, I somewhat think I'd feel safer at a club since that's what I'm use too. I'm not too much into techno and I think the rapid and repeating beats without words would give me a headache after awhile. lol. Still, it's amusing to think of what a rave would be like. Maybe oneday I'll find out for myself. Until then, I'll keep wondering.

I'm not a huge My Chemical Romance fan. I have to agree with Kitty at one point though, they do play the goth role too much. Infact, the main singer scares my sister and me, he truely looks like a zombie. Plus their songs sound all the same, however I do like "Helena" no matter how much they repeat it on the radio. I found it interesting that they won an MTV award since most artists that win awards from that channel are usually hiphop artists. They really need to get into some better clothes and actually make music that sounds different. Same thing seems to be happening to green day. Then, maybe I'll tune into their music. But until then, I'll just stick with the one song I can stand.

People chose their own fate. There is definately free will. Living life with the line "Oh, it was mean't to happen." is just trying to make people feel better about the decisions they made in the past. Things COULD be different if you made the other choice. We all make our own paths in life and I believe that fate is something that people created for an excuse. Destiny, is also something that we create. We choose and form our own destiny.

Um ok, your probably wondering what the "suprise me" was all about? Well I was hoping someone could make me a unique banner & avatar. Instead of giving you the image I want, why not just let you pick it? Just pick the image that fits the name "pumpkin" best. Only requirements is to have my name on it. You can add a message with it if you want too. If you could do that, that would be great. Have fun with it ^^

I don't know about demons, but I kind of believe in ghosts myself. I doubt they would hang out in a cemetery (I mean why would you want to hang around a place of rotting bodies?) and like Drix said, be around the place of their death. I only find this in cases where their soul can't rest and if they feel they left something behind. It's a touchy subject with me. I'd rather think of them not existing, if I hadn't experienced a paranormal experience myself. But for the time being, I'd say yes ghosts exist. Demons? No.

There are not too many crazy street names or places where I'm from. The three street names that I have come across in my town are Atkins, Avacado, & Aspirin . My best friend lives on Atkins Rd, which is the diet my dad is now on. I don't know how someone could come up with Aspirin and Avacado. I find Nasty to be much better.
Yeah, 18 is a pretty good age. My problem comes with the fact that not all of the restrictions are lifted until 21. So let me get this straight... us 18 year olds can get drafted, we can vote, and we can finally make full contributions to society, but we can't drink, smoke (not that I'd be interested in that), gamble, or go to most adult attractions for another three years. How is that fair? Why should we have to deal with an adult's problems without getting all of the adult privilages?
Look at it this way, do you really think majority of kids that come out of highschool are going to be responsible with drinking, smoking, etc? Isn't it bad enough already that young kids are already drinking and driving? Now picture if it were legal. I just turned 18 this year and I find nothing wrong with the privileges that I have because in a lot of countries it might be different. I can finally go out clubbing and do what I want as an adult. This already is a big responsibility, and I think the reason they switch drinking to age 21, is your finally a mature and responsible adult. I think people think too much about what they can't do instead of what they can do. Besides, if it means so much to you, it's worth waiting for right? I definately have to say that I agree with the law of drinking at age 21.
Geez, I've been hearing about this nutcase for months. I still remember when he had a show asking people to pray for an opening on the supreme court justice, which is a lifetime job (So basically he was asking God to kill somone for him) and when he had the same show ask for a hurricane hit Disney Land because it had 'Gay Days' or somthing like that. This guy is a real piece of work.
This one made me laugh. But anyways, there are tons of nutballs out there and CHW is right. Probably to distract us from our other problems that we like to complain about. There are always going to be people who use christianity for their own benefits and eventually karma is going to catch up to him. Forshame, trying to kill off a person.

I love how the movie was portrayed in black and white like in the old days. It really did portray a comic book in some sense. Jessica Alba is one of my favorite actresses, so I was glad to see her in there although her part in the storyline was not to deep in my opinion. My favorite character would have to be the samurai girl. I like the concept that it was the
hookers vs. police
very creative. It really made you feel there was a struggle and a balance that was made to be kept. I wouldn't list it as one of my favorites, but I definately would put it up there with the most unique films of this year. It really made you think differently, almost like The Matrix did.

Sounds like you all had a great summer, I'm almost jealous. Well, this summer I became an adult when I turned 18 and that meant searching for a new job. So most of my time was spent getting my college books ready, shopping, and trying to find a job. Although I did like the shopping quite a bit. I met with my counselors etc. I also got out of highschool later then the others so I pretty much had a month and a half of summertime to do everything. I'm sadly already on my second week of school (yeah I start early). It makes me realize how much free time you have when your a teenager still, and I miss the days of when I could sleep in and not have to worry about things like getting a car or an apartment. But that's the way life works doesn't it? Still, I can say I had an okay summer for I met a bunch of new people. Including my current boyfriend. I also went swimming and got a really nice tan. By the way Retri, junior year was hardest academically in my opinion, but it's even more fun picking on the freshman =)

Curse: I love the image because it looks mysterious. His eyes look concentrated and hard as if facing death, but it's the red swirls that I don't think fit well with the banner. I love the font for it and even the shadow but I think it needs to stand out more, maybe a bit brighter for people to see. Overall - 6.0 Don't Listen at All: I love the image that you used and even the background suites it well. I like the first font and shadow you used, however, not the second. For some reason that font didn't really seem to fit with the message and image. Overall - 4.0 Doubt: I love how you blurred around the banner's edges giving it a professional and also artistic feel to it. I also think this was the proper time to use swirls since it gives it an edge and makes the image pop out a bit more to the viewer. The font and the colors are amazing. The avatar is also matching & cute. Overall - 9.0 Pipsqueek: I like the orange background and especially the image. I'm suprised not many people make banners of chibi characters anymore and was glad when I saw one. The message fits with the image although I think the shadow of the font could be a darker orange or something more pleasing to go with the background. That's all I could think of that could change. Overall - 7.0 Ninjaman: I like the image and the background. You have nice schemes, not too fond of the font since it doesn't fit the mood it seems you were going for. Your really good on putting the text exactly where it needs to go to stand out. Nice work. Overall - 6.0 Fallen Shadow: I definately love the image. The fact that it's a shadow of a person and the background makes it look even more mysterious. The words are powerful and also give a hidden message to the feel of the banner. I absolutely love it and could not find anything I would change. Overall - 10.0 This is all rated from a 1-10 scale. I rated you tough because your obviously a highly skilled graphic artist. Hope to see more of your work in the future.
I'm not hugely bothered who gets the next Bond role so long as it's actually someone who can do the job well and could actually pass for being a Bond. I'd prefer to see the role kept among British and Irish actors, or those of British and Irish descent just to keep it close to the Bond roster but again if they can play the role and fit the "image" then again I'm not at all bothered. What they really need to do is improve the script and bring it back to something like GoldenEye.
I kind of agree with Gavin in a way that I don't care who plays the next one unless they are a good actor. It's the storyline that needs work. This doesn't mean that I'm not sad to hear Pierce Brosman go, I personally thought he was the best James Bond. He just looked the part of a spy and he really doesn't seem that old. Anyways, I agree with the last thing Gavin said, the last good James bond movie was Goldeneye. That was definately my by far favorite. If they could have a storyline and something original like that, then this one might actually be able to live up to the expectations. If not, well it'll just be another dud.

Everyone that's been here's obviously has learned the use of the Internet. The internet is a system in which people around the world are allowed to communicate. The point I'm trying to get at is, how did you discover the Internet? Did a friend tell you, or maybe you introduced it to them? How old were you? and what were some of the first things you did? Or maybe you've just started using it? I know my first contact with the internet was when I was 6 or 7 and I use to go into Nickalodean chat rooms and talk about things like TV shows or cartoons. And yes I had parental advisory back then. I stopped until I was twelve, when I had an AOL ( AOL was hot back in the 90's! ) account with the screenname "Tinksparkles" ( dumbest name ever ). I was really into anime & manga mailing Lists that people made and sent to you in your inbox. There was some rivalry against zines and mailing lists, and I of course owned a mailing list. That was the coolest thing back in the day. I also did a lot of RPGing in chatrooms. I stopped using the internet when I turned 13 and ended up starting again when I was 16. My question is what do you remember of your use of the internet? What were your hobbies and what do you mainly use it for now? I know for one I mainly use it for mmorpgs, school, and the forum. Come on share the details ^^;

I'm much more of a writer then anything. I can't draw anime figurines and I can't really do graphic design because all I have is PSP 6 which isn't all that impressive like photoshop. I can't afford that at the moment. I have the same problem with the people above, I'll be writing a story or RPG, and then I'll get frustrated with it and through it away. It usually takes me about 20 trys until I come up with something that I'm satisfied with. Writing is the ONLY talent that I'm good at. I'd rather be okay at all three, then be a semi-good writer. But that's just me. Oh and for those of you that do graphic design, ( and do it well ) props to you because it's not as easy as it seems. It takes a lot of effort and work just as it would into drawing a picture.
