Character Sign Up - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Name: Hokkaido Suzu Age: Appears 19 Gender: Female Appearance:[Suzu] She wears the traditional black shinigami robes and has dark long brown hair with deep brown eyes. Usually seen wearing hair up in a ponytail or down. Weapon: Suzu wields a Zanpaku-to that first appears to be a rusty plain katana, but has since learned shikai (the "second" release). This is used by chanting an incantation and saying its name Furugawa which means old river. It changes the look of the Katana, where it changes to a deep forest green with vines that run up it's handle and look-alike leaves that stand out almost as if it turned into a forest. It gains special powers of wind and other weather spells. Alliance: Shinigami Title: 7th Squad Lieutenant 1st seat Personality: Suzu is a very stubborn person and is always eager to be the best. She hopes to one day be taken seriously and be the best Shinigami ever known, and believes no one can ever stand in her way. She has a soft side, and is seen as very understanding when it involves her, but mostly stays to herself majority of the time. She's an excellent fighter and is great at keeping calm but when she looses her temper it's usually to the extreme and ends up costing her failure in battle. A lot of people look on her as a younger sister, for she seems somewhat naive for she appears to be very young then most Shinigami, this leads to many underestimating her. It is because they underestimate her talents, that she usually ends up winning most of her battles. She likes to use her wits and believes in using tactics to win, a challenge is just another puzzle to be solved to her. Biography/Character Snippet: Suzu's arm began to cramp as she climbed up a nearby tree. They had been following her for ages it seemed and they did not seem to be slowing down at all. She felt a sharp pain in her hand and noticed her hand was covered in blood. Taking the scarf she wore around her kimono, she gently began to attend to the wound only by the time she finished noticed that a man had stopped. He apparently was in trouble from the army as well, and was carrying what seemed to have been, a boy. Poor peasants from the village, no doubt. thought Suzu as she watched from above. She was not too badly wounded and felt sorry for the villagers who were also stuck in the same mess. If they were caught, she knew they would be dead within the next hour at least. No one would care to notice them missing. She had never done anything out of her way to help others, especially when the reward for her head was so high. But she decided to help the peasants as she leaped down from the tree, and used her cunniness to sneak behind any soldiers. It would only be moments before they spot the older man and his boy leading to their death, but since her years in martial arts she knew how to avoid them with ease. Her wooden sandles made no noise even in the mud as she ran with elegance and approached the older man and the boy. The man with the grey beard was coughing and looked to be in serious bad health. He glared at Suzu with a warning glance, "Who are you? and what do you want from us?" exclaimed the man holding a rusty old knife to her face. She did not flinch however and quickly remarked, "Now is not the time for talk, an army squadron is on it's way in this direction, you must leave.". Before she could turn to go, the man grabbed a tight grip of her shoulder. "Take the boy. Please. Make sure he gets to the next village safely." said the old man while coughing, blood spotted the ground but was quickly washed away by the heavy rainfall. "I'm sorry but I don't-" replied Suzu but before she could get another word out, the man had picked up the young boy and placed him in her arms. "Go." was the last word he spoke to her as she took off into the woods carrying a boy she had no connection with. "Why do I always get myself into these messes anyway? Isn't this how I got in trouble in the first place?" thought Suzu as she began to dodge behind trees. She heard shouting and a commotion from the distance and figured the older man must have been found out. It seemed the army was after everyone these days. The young boy who must have only been five in her arms began to cry and scream for his grandfather. She had to hush him and cover him otherwise the would for sure be found as well. She could see light up ahead and figured that must be the village he wasn't talking about, and finally felt a sense of relief. Soon she would be able to forget all this and be able to go home. Home. That made her sprint towards it even faster. Her happiness was quickly deluded by the shower of arrows that encircled him, but she was relentless not to stop. One had pierced her shoulder causing her to flinch, but she would not give up, not after she knew she was close to her home. Only have to drop off this boy and then I'll be on my way. she thought, dodging all that she could. What she did not know, was she had run straight through an army camp, and was being tailed. An ambush was inevitable. Realizing the mistake and carelessness she had made, made a shock to her. However, her belief in everything can be avoided with a strategy still stuck to her. She would drop off the boy at the village, pretend to go straight when really making a circle around the troops and finally be on her way home. She stopped for she could see the village within her sights and let the boy down. He had tears streaming down his face and she bent down to wipe them. "Go towards that village boy. And whatever you do, do not stop. I'm assuming you know where to go." She whispered and the boy nodded his head. Within seconds, he dissapeared into the night. The rain had begun to fall more heavily now, making it hard for her to run in her current attire. Still she kept up with her heavy pace, and made false tracks for the army. Everything was going according to plan. Except for one thing, she had never imagined that they would expect her motives. Always thinking that they were too clueless, she fell into their trap. An ambush was planned, and before she knew it she was surrounded by atleast 50 soldiers. The captains blade slide close to her neck. "So we finally meet again, Suzu Hokkaido. You are hereby charged with theft and assault of the army. Plead allegiance and we shall spare your life. Otherwise you shall be hereby executed on account of the council of ten." he shouted only to hear a roar from the crowd watching. "I'd rather die, then become scum like you" Suzu responded, her eyes were full of hatred. A hush upon the crowd spreading like a disease and everyone's shocked expressions could be seen even through the rain. She gasped as she felt a blade slide through her stomache, and the blood dripped down into puddles. "Everything was planned...I don't understand...I'm truely going to die..." she thought as she fell into the mud. She watched as the water slid down her face, and as the world became one color of black. Her eyes began to fade to a chalky white as she watched the cheer of the soldiers. This would not be the end. OOC: I understand if I can't get into the RPG. I had lots of IRL matters to attend to. Hope this is good enough, sorry if it's way too long. lol consider it making up for not finishing earlier. ^^;

I never thought it would end like this....they use to tell me banishment was the end....I knew one day it would come for me...but not like this...not ever like this..to run from the past is expected...but can you really hide from it forever? Fearing...for you know....confronting the past is evident. It was raining. The water washed the sweat that dripped on her face, and the sounds of shouting could be heard echoing over the cliffs. She could still feel the heat of fire on her back and the shouts of the angry villagers as they chased her. It was freezing. Katara struck a match and lit some beach wood on fire, it was the only thing she could do to keep from freezing to death. Shivering, she curled up in a ball in the sand and tried to get some rest, she knew she would be stuck in this cave till morning and had to get out before the tide came. "Mila...sister..I hope your watching over me. I miss you." were her final thoughts before everything began to fade and the rain begun to stop. Morning arose, and with that Katara had a big appitate. She caught some fish and ate it with seaweed, not the most delicious course, but it satisfied her stomache. She packed the leftovers into her bandana where she had packed a few household items just before her house was burnt down. She dug through her belongings A knife, her diary, a compass, a map and a locket of her and her dead older sister, Mila Adrias.. They had always looked alike, but were never twins although mistaken to be majority of the time. "I promise somehow I'll make this up to you. Your name will not be tarnished any longer." Katara said outloud promising to herself. She flung the bandana full of belongings over her shoulder and began to walk. She would now begin her new life. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sixteen years later.... Katara had stumbled across the mediocre town of Middleton. Middleton was known as a town where smugglers like to travel, she didn't like to steal, but she was a little short on cash for the moment and did not feel like doing another stressful job. " Ah work was so hectic, it's actually nice to get a break for once. I seriously need to have some fun. " said Katara to herself, she yawned and glanced at a fruit stand. It had tangerines, peaches, pears, and lots of delicious goodies that would go well for a nights meal on the road. She devised a plan to get them by stuffing one of the watermelons under her shirt to look as though she were with child and let her hair out from it's ponytail. As she was making her way to the fruit stand, she overheard some upperclass ladies gossipying about a stolen Meran ship. She shook her head and began talking with the seller. "Oh dear me, I seem to have dropped my purse." Katara said, so it wasn't the smartest trick in the book, but the guy seemed as dumb as a doorknob. It worked and as he bent down, she stuffed the rest of her shirt with many fruits. "Here you go m'am. Don't want you to bend down in that condition."He mumbled dumfounded, obviously not the brightest guy in Middleton. "Oh dear, guess I'll have to come back later." replied Katara as she began to turn around but bumped into a stranger with a red bandana on his head. The watermelon slipped from underneath her shirt and splattered on the floor. "Imposter!" shouted the seller and grabbed Katara by her wrist. Before he could say another word however, the man in the bandana spoke up, "Dear sister, how could you leave without taking your medication? Excuse me sir, for she is very sick in the head. My name is John Hervey. I've been searching for her forever, excuse me for anything she has broken here.". Katara stared in shoke for he obviously knew how to cover up and she certainly did not want to go to jail for theft so played along. "No problem. Just keep an eye on her next time."stated the fruit seller and let go of Katara's hand. But before she got a chance to thank the mysterious man, he was already walking away. "Wait..Um..John! Right?" Kitara shouted trying to keep up with him. "I never got to say thank you for saving me back there...." She commented trying to get him to stop walking. "No problem. I bumped into you, it's my fault. Think nothing of it really. The names John Hervey if you didn't catch that. And who may I ask are you?" asked John, stopping once to look at her. She paused. It had been a long time since she had even talked to someone or given a real name, this time she was sure of what she had to do. "My name is Mila....Mila Adrias." replied Mila humbly. "Pleasure to meet you Mila."exclaimed John. And she has been called Mila since.... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I followed John only to find out that the gossip had been true. The Meran ship had been stolen, and by Red the mysterious man I had talk to earlier. He's kind but stern, and he would make a great captain someday. I could only hope I could do my dear sister some justice. My name would be known forever as Mila Adrias, and people would know and fear my name. I only met two of the other crewmates. Maris and Tai. I still felt like an outcast between the two even though we got along quite fine. How little I knew of what was to unfold in the future...and my adventure would truely begin... OOC: This may seem confusing of why her name changed. Check out her history in sign-ups to further understand this. Hope it's not too long.

Based on the Chronicles of Narnia Series by C.S. LewisBandal took a sudden halt. It seemed her warhorse, Yazardi, was getting a bit thirsty and needed a break. "Poor girl, she's panting. Too bad she could not talk like in the old tales of the horse Bree." thought Bandal as she gave the horse a drink from her cantina. She glanced at her map, it was old, but still useful as she could point out her location easily a skill she had picked up from hunting with her father. It had been almost a month since she had ran away disguised as a boy, and she had heard no news about the goings of Tashbaan for she was in the middle of the desert. "Mezreel seems to be the closest. Oh I do love that town, they will have all the supplies we need for our journey."exclaimed Bandal, her newly cut short hair was blowing in the wind. It was not long before a sand storm would hit. Bandal once known as Zydrelle the Tarkheena, jumped on her horse Yazardi and rode off into the sunset. It wasn't much longer until they were going to be in need of shelter. The wind roared and the sand made circles, teasing them to continue further. They reached the outskirts of Mezreel to find a house and a stable. It was a small house, one that would not fit many people and nothing like the lavish palaces of Tashbaan. But Bandal was in need of shelter, and anything to keep her undercover, so she thought she might stay inside the stable for tonight. Bandal snuck up to the stable and quietly led Yazi inside for a rest. She quickly began to nimble the hay and neigh with excitement. Bandal got a look of the front of the house, although the actual house was in bad shape, the garden was as beautiful as the one in the Tisroc's palace. It had flowers that only grew in Tashbaan, and from what seemed like all over the world. "Who could have done this?" she thought to herself, but quickly discovered how tired she was when she let out a big yawn. "Best get some sleep. We have a long road ahead of us Yazi, it won't be long before the guards head out this way to search for me."stated Bandal to the horse, but Yazi was fast asleep on the hay. Zydrelle began to slumber off to sleep as well, when she heard a loud creaking noise and a voice quiver out "Who's there? Who dares disturb my sleep and what do you want with me?". The man's voice was shaking as if he were expecting a thief. Bandal came out from under the shadows. "Please sir. I mean you no harm, all I ask is for me and my horse to have a night's stay for we got caught up in the storm and have no where else to go. We will leave first thing in the morning"exclaimed Bandal, she had never had to plead with anyone in her life. The man looked at her suspiciously and lit a latern and held it high up to see her. She gasped for she recognized the man instantly. It was her arranged fiance, the tisroc's, old servant they called Nigh, and she knew he had recognized her at once. "My lord. Forgive me for my rudeness. I had no idea of your presence among me."Bowed the man, but Bandal stopped him. "Please, don't bother bowing, you have got to promise not to tell anyone I am here. Or has the tisroc sent you?"said Bandal, for she was worried of them finding out her location. "I do not work for him, nor would I ever tell if you did not want me too."replied Nigh nervously. "I'll bring you some food and beverages, you look quite hungry"mumbled the man as he went outside the stable door. He came back with a basket of goods. There were vegetables from his garden, Meat and toasted bread with oil. He also had a pitcher of water. They drank and ate their food and discovered a lot about each other. Bandal told him about her adventure about pretending to be the bandit and running away from the tisroc and the now proclaimed Willerwik Saveres told of how he had been free'd from the tisroc's service and joined up in the rebellion. Bandal became interested in the rebellion, for this might be her last chance at escaping the marriage to the tyrant tisroc. "Willerwik. I like that name."proclaimed the Tarkheena, she was returned with a gentle smile. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OOC: Sorry about the long wait everyone. It feels like I'm one of the only people that came to OB first before TheOtaku. I use to post what seems like yesterday, but really was a long time ago, on AnimeOnline.net. It was my favorite and first forum, you could say I soon became addicted because it had journals, art, games, contest etc. everything to keep you entertained. I began to know everyone there, and even was close with one of the moderators, but then the site crashed because the owner couldn't afford it anymore. That was a sad day. Then another forum with the old members popped up. And then that one died. And then AO went back, except it had an ugly layout, and the members that were posting were poor quality. Theres nothing I can't stand then reading "YAH LYKE FAMLY GUY WAS SO AWESUM LAST NIGHT? RITE? IT ROX!" so I decided to leave for awhile. It was the same on other forums until I looked under google and found "Otakuboards" and thought what an ordinary name. But when I opened it up, it looked way more interesting and I began checking it out. I decided to sign under a new name of Pumpkin, just something that came to my mind. And I've been here ever since. I just hope the site doesn't vanish too.

Character Sign Up ------------------------ Name: Mila Adrias (Mee-la) Nickname: Minx or Chain (see below) Age: 23 Appearance: Click Minx is usually wearing her dark brown hair into a pony tail over a bandana and gets teased for wearing tattered small clothes. She is also fairly tall and has green eyes. Minx has somewhat of a man's personality and ideals but with a grown woman's body. This also puts her in the disposition of when they have to go to town, she is usually seen wearing an elegant purple gown to disguise herself as a rich lady. She doesn't like wearing dresses and will only do so in emergencies. She prefers to pretend to be a man. Weapons: She has a cutglass sword that is put to use only when necessary. She also owns a two chains which she is most famous for using.One which is a chain with two metal balls on each side and is strictly used to crush the opponent with the ends but also used for choking. She also has a golden chain that she keeps from her hip and to her back that hangs on her pants, it is the chain that she is most famous for killing all her victums with. Melee combat is her favorite for she is very strong for a woman. History: (Will Edit Soon) Personality: Mila is a confident and smart woman and the best she is good at is speaking her mind and fighting. Her only true weakness is, showing her emotions.. She has a hard time showing her true emotions and often hides how she truely feels. This equals the fact that, she is also scared of affection, especially romantic feelings from men. This is the only thing that confuses her, and makes her vulnerable. Otherwise she is also chipper, and is not a force you want to make angry. Her happy nature leads to that she is never depressed, although the heart is more then what the eye can see. She respects those who are loyal and honest, and doesn't like doing something dishonest, unless its for a good cause. She is however a very cunning and sneaky person when she wants to be dispite her good preachings, when something is important to her, she will do whatever it takes to get it. Despite the consequences. Specialty: Assasin, and hand-to-hand combat. Minx is not much of a thief, for she feels bad for stealing when unnecessary. But she does it occasionally. She would prefer to be a Mercenary, she'd rather do easy work for the money, then steal it. Snippet: The fog was thick as thick as smoke, and the dark ghostly waves splashed against the old harbor. A man in a trenchcoat was running, you could see the sweat of worry on his forehead. "Who's there? What do you want with me? I'll pay you anything to leave me alone..."he shouted, turning to one side to the next. His face was scrunched up in pain, as he bent down and tried to catch his breath. ------------------------------------ OOC: Great job on the RPG! I'll be looking forward to it, even if I don't make the cut. Sorry I'll fill in the rest soon. Promise. EDIT: "I'm sorry this took so long. My cat had an asthma attack. No really. He did."
My favorite candy would be... I have too much to choose from!! I'm a candy fanatic, which is bad because no matter how much I brush my teeth, I still get cavaties(getting fillings hurts!)
Heh. I know how you feel. I love candy, which means I don't really have an all-time favorite it depends on what I'm in the mood for. As far as Gummi things go, I don't really like the bears and I prefer Sweedish Fish. Those things are delicious, and sour. Yum. For chocolate, I'll usually settle for Rolo's or Twix. I love Chocolate and carmel together, it's just the best. I also love skittles, gum, nerds and lollipops. You gotta love blowpops. I can't help it, I'm addicted to them.
Really? And all this time I went thinking you guys were forced to learn Spanish from the age of eight. : /
Um actually, I started learning Spanish at kindergarden. In school that is. Suprise? I grew up in a very bilingual family, since my mother and my gradmother both speak Hungarian. Yet they never taught me it, and I wish they did when I was younger. My mom thought it wouldn't be "necessary", argh. Anyways, yes I took spanish when I was a kid, I use to be able to sing and read in spanish and understand it. I learned spanish until my senior year, and let me tell you this, what did I learn? Nothing. I only remember the basics. I'm practically 18 years old and I still don't know this darn language from when I was a kid. It's with this knowledge that I think if your really into a language (say japanese) and you put your mind to it, its a whole lot easier. Personally, I hate spanish, no matter how easy it is, and I want to learn it, but if your not consistantly using the language. You will infact forget everything. You need to have a constant use of the language in order for it to sink in, If I had someone speak to me in spanish daily as a child, and I mean throughly, I might as well know spanish by now. Yup it sucks, but after 17 years of spanish I think I've had enough. I might just try out Japanese for the fun of it.
Just because the episode has a new title doesn't mean its "fresh" as the WB calls it lol. Granted yes the characters have changed a bit, but aside from a couple outlandish episodes (the musical one for example) they're all incredibly similar. As Shinji said before, they fight a new demon every episode. And the characters had to change eventually, or else every episode would be exactly[/B'] the same, rather then just incredibly similar. It gets old, and as much "teen" drama as they want to add to the show, it's just played out already. Time to move on.
I kinda have to agree but I have to admit I liked the first two seasons, when it was actually about vampires mind you. It should have ended them however. It's kind of like when you first watched Sailor Moon, its exciting at first, but then you notice that it's the same drama every episode after the first two seasons you get tired of it. That's kind of how I felt about Buffy, especially since after Season 3, Spike got wierd and there was a SpikexBuffy thing going on. The episodes made no sense. And Willow became even more retarded. There were no vampires. It just became lame. But yeah. That's just my opinion, so don't mind me.

This happens in a lot of strong religious families especially in Mormon or Christian ones. I'm not saying all Christians/Mormons act like that, only those that take thing WAY too serious and to the extreme. Obviously, his parent's are ashamed of his homosexuality and feel this camp is somehow going to change that? They are going to be very dissapointed when they find out that this plan is not going to work. I agree it's like a Hitler camp. What they think they are doing for the "Holy" cause, is really a disgusting way of trying to change someone's personality. I once knew a boy that was mormon named Tony. He came from a religious family and loved going to church. Only problem was that he ended up being gay. His family didn't accept him and sent him to one of these camps. It's disgusting. He ended up being practically disowned and banned from his own church because of his sexuality. It's not his fault and no not all religious people view gay as being wrong, I know my gradmother who is the most religious person in the world, feels that being gay is something that can't be changed and isn't wrong. So no not everyone that's religious feels that way, only the arrogant ones. Those are the type of people I cannot stand. I hope this boy can find his way out of the camp and wish him luck.
I know it's how the world works, but is it really right? Everything you said is valid, but as I said before, there are much worse things on TV then a music video played 2-3 times a day. Of course you could go get the cd, thats not really the question here. We pride ourselves on the freedom we're given, it's all over our money, the pledge of allegiance, yet the very freedoms we promote are becoming more and more restricted and compromised each and every day. It's easy to say "thats just the way it is," but no one would grow if everyone thought that way. We should question things and think to ourselves whether whats going on is right or not. We can't simply follow rules and regulations blindly without first questioning the foundation on which they were created. I'm looking at the bigger picture here, a simple music video could lead to something much more important. And as we've all seen, things become increasingly compromised with each passing year, well when does it stop? It doesn't seem there's a safe and full-proof solution to this problem so who's to say when enough is enough? Shouldn't it be us rather then a disgruntled mother with nothing more to do then question the content of a 3 minute song her son glanced at on MTV? Is it fair for everyone to be penalized for the lack of parental skill here? Isn't a parent responsible for watching what their kids watch and making sure that it doesn't contain adult content? We've made several strides and now even entire channels can be blocked by a parent who believes it shouldn't be veiwed by their children. With all these alternatives and different ways about doing things is it really neccessary to censor such trivial things? And as I said earlier, much worse things have been veiwed on TV, shouldn't we be worrying about those things? By the way, if you've ever seen Law and Order, you'd know what I'm talking about lol. You're right, they show barely any gore or adult material, however, they speak about it increasingly and with much detail. In the song I mentioned, they sang about the cutting, but did they show it in their video? No, not at all. Well on Law and Order they don't show the girl being raped or the child being molested, they just talk about it for an hour or so.
Oh no don't get me wrong. I agree with you when you say your against censorship, cause even though my post sounds like im all for it I'm not all I was saying is that many people are already stepping up against censorship and it hasn't gotten to the point where everything is completely censored. If that were to happen, I think you'd be hearing more complaining from me. I agree with labels being put on CDS, as far as music videos go, I guess the words that arn't that bad are being cut out which I find ridiculous. It really only gets annoying to deal with when you every other word is "Bleep". This happens alot in TV.
And the stuff about Law and Order is annoying as well. Like Kamuro pointed out, the showing of a warning before hand should be all the warning the viewers need. If a mother and her seven year old son are sitting on the couch watching TNT (or whatever channel it normally plays on) and the mother sees that warning, she can change the channel right then and there and turn on something more 'child-appropriate'. Then those who are more mature and/or less impressionable may watch the show without key parts being bleeped out for the sake of making sure the station doesn't get sued by a mother whining and looking for money. [/size']
I also agree with this. If theres a warning label, it's meant to be read. It should allow violence. And yet they still don't even show most of it. It's funny whats allowed to be on TV nowadays, it seems like whats the most "Gore" show, doesn't really show all that much. They are too afraid of getting introuble with the network. The show can't even live up to it's full potential because of these limited laws. I can see both sides to the story however, why they are doing this. Even if it's a little out there. What Does your sig, avi and username say about you.
Pumpkin replied to shinji172's topic in General Discussion
Username : Grecords must be a nickname that you use for either your email address or your friends. Custom Title : Unit 07 suggests that you like futuristic things and might find it to be a hobbie. Or you could simply like sci-fi anime and shows like Futurama. Just a guess. Avatar & Signature : It seems you don't really have a signature yet, this could be because your new and you haven't decided to post a banner or message of some sort up. Your avatar suggests that you like robots and technology. Especially things that involve the future. -
I guess the reason they censor music so much, is because it reaches out to so many people. I mean Law and Order is just a show, its suppose to have those things that are horrific, its fake and I'm sure they are only allowed to show so much. Majority of TV is very restricted if you look closely, and yeah it can suck, but people are always going to complain about "Their kids accidently viewing the footage or what not". I can see why they bleeped out cut, they probably think that anyone who buys it is going to cut their wrists thinking its cool. I see why they are doing it. Do I think its wrong? Well..that anwser is really hard to anwser. I think some things are just silly to edit out, but it's not really a big deal. It's a music video. If you want the un-edited version, go out and buy it. This way no one gets blamed or sued, really thats all this is about. People do not want to get into trouble for having "adult" language on TV and get badmouthed for it. You never know the simpliest word could insult someone. It's all a matter of getting punished. It's lame, but is it really that hard to go out and just buy the CD? This is just how the world works. What do you mean by strange feelings? There are lots of types. If you mean Deja Vu, well, I've had that so many times. I swear I'll dream something and it'll happen the next day. But I think thats pretty normal. What's really strange though, is I get an awful feeling in my stomache, and I know something bad is going to happen. It depends how awful I feel. When my brother-in-law got into his motorcycle accident and died acouple months ago, I was out with my dad picking up a movie for us all to watch when I felt suddenly sick when I mentioned Chris's name. Instantly I thought it was cause I haven't seen him in awhile until when we got home and got the phone call. I think if you have a strong connection with someone, you can kind of feel when something's wrong or their emotions.

I thought I've seen these tricks somewhere..and then I realized it was in a music video I was watching last night. Don't know what the band was called, but they go out in their car at night and go in a field to play with the fire. I always thought that looked cool. Wish I had the patience to actually do that, for sure I'd get burned. I'm not sure if these questions have been asked before, but who introduced you into this sport? Or how did you learn about it? Who was the first one who taught you? Or were you just self-taught? This is quite interesting. Especially because I know no one that has done anything like this.
-
Everyone wants to take time off alone sometimes. It's completely normal but I have to agree with Kamuro about not taking TOO much time off. It's important to adapt to your environment and learn to deal with people, that you don't even think you'll get along with. I mean, would if you have a boss you hate in the future? are you just going to blow her off and walk away? I doubt you'd want to get fired if it pays a lot. There are always going to be people that are going to bug you in your life. And nope I'm not picking on you. Just stating facts, and I completely understand where you're coming from. I felt the same way in highschool, as far as college goes, it's a whole lot better in a University. I have to agree with whoever said that. Anyways, if you need a break from everyday troubles, go hang out somewhere at break and read a book, relax, and just don't let the simple things get to you. You'll feel better then you know it. And don't feel disregarded that you don't fit with a certain group, that means your unique and people should love you for it.

Anime Times that you've rooted for the "bad guy"?
Pumpkin replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
YES! Finally someone that agrees with me about Kagome/Kikyo. Everyone always tells me, "Oh, Kikyo is such a biatch, she's trying to steal InuYasha from Kagome and blah blah..." Okay, 1.) Kikyo had InuYasha first, so technically, Kagome is trying to steal InuYasha from Kikyo. 2.) Kikyo, may I remind you people, is the original, and nothing gets better than that. And besides that, I just hate Kagome, and I love Kikyo. Quite simple, really. XD And for the Marmalade Boy thing... actually, I always secretly wanted Miki and Ginta together. I don't know why, they always seemed the kind to end up. It's just the normal happy ending for the story... it'd be interesting if it was mixed up a bit. Besides, I don't think Arimi is good enough for Ginta. Ha. I don't like that girl either. >> Okay, enough of my fan-girl ranting. Go back on with your discussion. ^.^;;
OMG!! I forgot ALL about Ginta. Yeah! I really wanted her to choose Ginta, Yuu was..to put it pluntly. A jerk. I liked him later on, but they just seemed to go perfect with one another, plus Ginta is way cuter. Arimi is annoying. I didn't like Kei-kun and thought he was mean for what he did, but after watching it a second time, I learned to like him a lot.I also secretly wanted Miwa and Meiko to get together. Oh and Believe me, I'm like a rabid ginta fangirl. The only time I really liked a main character was Tsukushi from Hana Yori Dango, now thats a girl that can kick some butt. Not Kagome. And yes your right, many people don't realize that Kikyo was there first, and she gave her life for him. I think that's a lot more the Kagome can say. Plus she's not as helpless. -
Wow. All I have to say is awesome job at describing Anthy, Dagger. I too think she is the most intense character ever, and I didn't even understand her personality (I guess I'm dumb for I didn't see it and thought she was the stereotypical feminist). The ending of Revolutionary Girl Utena left me quite confused. I guess I should have watched it twice. Anthy
I think wanted to be saved from death, because from what I remember, (When the swords were flying towards her) Utena had tried to save her, she had reached out her hand but they missed. I don't know if that was intentional, but it didn't seem like it. I had no idea at the beginning of the series of Anthy's Betrayal, but after it showed the scene of her and Akio becoming "close" I had suspicions. What I don't get is why Anthy killed her brother's fiance and why did Akio want Utena dead? I guess I have to re-watch it because I got lost in the whole thing. Akio was the prince that told Utena to become a prince one day, and he shattered her dream. She did not bring revolution to the world. It was the first anime where the goal that was meant to happen, infact did not. Everything stayed the same. I don't get why Anthy would stay with her brother after he slept with Utena and someone else, its a very twisted wierd anime that just excludes someone with a simple mind as me. Oh well...anyways just wanted to say I liked how you analyzed her personality.
That is why I have to agree with Dagger.

Anime Times that you've rooted for the "bad guy"?
Pumpkin replied to Bloodseeker's topic in Otaku Central
I guess I'm evil because I root for the bad guys all the time. They are the best characters. I wanted Shessomaru to kill off Inu yasha once and for all, and for Yui or Nakago to finish off Miaka. She's just too darn happy all the time for her own good. During the end of the series though, she got a bit better. I also wish Kikyo would just kill Kagome once and for all, I agree for she is very annoying. I also wanted Kei-kun to go out with Mika from Marmalade Boy instead of Yuu. But thats just because he can play the piano and that's hot. What? I like a guy who's musically talented. But you can't always win. Keep trying villans, keep trying. -
I feel I need a change. Although I like the banner I have now, I was hoping someone could make me a matching avatar and banner. I'd like it preferrably around the size of the banner and also the avatar I'm using now with the image posted below. All I want on it is "Pumpkin" and underneath it "Smile like there's no tomorrow". If you could do this for me, I'd love you forever! Thanks! Can you Tell me how to get to Seaseme Street?
Pumpkin replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
Actually I think this is a pretty interesting thread. I haven't seen seasame street since I was a little kid, well actually awhile ago since my nephew watches it. It's just not the same. I could never stand Elmo, I never got what he was always so happy about. I loved Grover and how he would scream and run all over the place. That and the Cookie Monster was my favorite. I heard they got rid of Bert and Ernie? Don't know if thats true or not, or the fact that they can't be "roomates" anymore. It's kind of fun to see how your old shows as a kid has changed. But I never watched it that much. I was too hooked on the muppets and Mr. Rogers for some reason. Beats me. -
Sadly I think most fans of Jrock and Jpop like it simply because, well it's a part of anime. They start off liking anime soundtracks and next thing you know they become interested in Japanese Artists. Honestly I don't like pop music, but when its Jpop for some reason, I can take it. Maybe because I can't understand what they are saying? lol? But anyways, people like listening to something thats new. When everything starts to sound the same over here, thats usually when I turn to Jrock, it's always changing and I usually like the beats. There are certain artists that I like such as Ayami Hamasaki, Megumi Hayashibara, and other such artist that make music AND also do anime series music. It's great to reach out and get something different. And yes I like that creepy german rammstein guy XD shhh don't tell no one.

Michiko had got up early for school as usual, or so she thought. She was actually late by almost a half an hour, which is rare for someone who has always been on time and got the best grades. Michiko picked up her bag and began to run to school, when she passed someone she knew. She stopped. "Ohio Senpai" she said while bowing to Kagami Imi, of the Wild Cats. She looked frustrated but gave Michiko a friendly wave. "What seems to be the trouble? Why are you running?" she asked but she didn't seem to be paying much attention. "Um..I'm late for school. What about you?" asked Michi but she already knew the anwser. "Mind if I walk with you? We're late anyways, might as well have some company"muttered Imi, she had her bag slung over her shoulder and looked as if she wished she could sleep in some more. She muttered some words under her breath while Michiko was too happy to have someone to walk with to school. She felt like a kid again. "How come your so happy going all the time Michi? I don't see how you do it, argh."asked an annoyed Imi, it must have been a rough mourning for her. "Eh? I don't know what you mean?"replied Michiko, she was clueless as always. "Nevermind..." exclaimed Imi, she didn't feel like talking much anyways. Michiko and Imi finally reached the school grounds. "Well this is it...see yeah around" said Imi walking away with a wave. Michiko admired Imi for her courage, for she could never be as brave as her. She hoped one day she would fit in with the Wild Cats. OOC : I hope this was alright, I tried to fit Imi's personality from her profile in the signs ups, if I need to change anything just tell me.

I've never really met many people that were famous. I've come close to it, but actually being up close and talking in person? Well..you're not going to believe it. But yea, John Travolta. I was like 12 though and we went to boston for a vacation. I was a major book nerd so I begged my mom to take me to the local book store cause I heard it was really neat there. But she said she was tired of walking so she made my older sister and her friend go with me. My mom loves John Travolta, and thats her favorite actor so you could say she missed out. Once we got into the book store, we noticed there was a huge line and up front we saw him signing books (it was for his latest movie). So we stood in line and got my mom a signed book. He even gave my sister a hug. I didn't recognize him until I thought of the movie grease. That's the only thing I knew him from at the time. Oh well, my mom really blew it that time. Still he looks different in person.

Your question of would I watch a Jackson Family Reality show? The anwser is no. Simply because stated above, it's most likely going to be phony and fake. Plus I don't think Michael wants to be in the public eye anymore then he was since he just went through a troubling trial about molesting a little boy. Don't you think you'd want to have some time away to yourself? And I agree, Britney's reality show is even more crazy. Atleast it seems real, unlike most of the crap that is on today. Still stupid. But yeah I would not watch it even if it had Tito...or not.
