Name: Zydrelle Bandal Nickname: Bandal/Elle or Tarkheena Bandal Gender: Female Age: 24 Status: Warrior (Tarkheena) Hometown: Tashbaan Appearance: Short black hair that goes down to her shoulders, with tan skin like most Calormen. She has deep brown eyes and has a slim figure. On her days as a girl she dresses in an egyptian style outfit of white and gold with gold bracelets on her hands and on one of her ankles. For riding she usually wears medium length pants (kind of like kaprees) and a brown tank that makes her look middle class. When she is in battle she wears her mail armor which makes her appear to look like a man, a fiersome one at that. Especially when shes carrying her spear. Abilities: Zydrelle is excellent at shooting with her bow. She has had much training in the field. It is said that her favorite bow was made in the land of Narnia where magic resides. With it, she has never missed a shot. She is also skilled with a sword but not as well. Weapons: She has a long blade that runs down the side at her belt usually when she rides her warhorse she got from her father called Yezardi also known as "Yezi". The sword has a curved top like most people in the capital city of Tasbaan use. This is given to all Tarkheena's, especially when they are on military duty. She rarely uses it however unless for emergencies, for she prefers to use, a spear. Biography: Zydrelle Bandal was born in the capital city of Calormen, Tashbaan. She grew up as a much cheerful child, and loved her father deeply. Her life was full of luxuries, as is expected of a Tarkheena, an upperclass lord. However, she was also trained for war at the young age of 6, and became skilled in hunting, squaring, and other activities. She realized very young that she was different then most of the other girls. She had only one friend. Mehamia who was also a Tarkheena, older and very different from Zydrelle. Mehamia liked gossip and boys, much like the other girls that lived around Tashbaan. But they were friends nevertheless. They grew up together until one day, Zydrelle's life changed completely. It turned out that one day when she was riding her father's war horse Yazardi, the Tisroc had spotted her. And so his affection grew. Day after day he watched what as he described the most beautiful girl to fit as Queen. It would be every Tarkheena's dream to be Queen of Calormen, since they would have access to the palace and be able to rule all of Calormen with freedom. But this did not sit well with Zydrelle. He had requested an arranged marriage from her father and if she refused it would mean death. She asked for Mehamia's help, but she only told Zydrelle that she should go along with the Tisroc's plan and that she would be the richest women in all of Calormen. Not having Mehamia to help her out on this, she began to scheme up a plan to avoid the marriage. She once remembered a story about a Tarkheena once like herself that lived over a thousand years ago, she had an arranged marriage, and had escaped to the North and ruled as Queen in the land of Narnia with her lover. It was her favorite bed time story as a child that her mother use to read to her before she died of sickness. She could simply not use the same plan for her father would know exactly what she was trying to do. She decided she would be kidnapped. Writing her father a note, she left this small parchment on his bed with a piece of her hair. Dear Tarkaan Bandal, I have your daughter, Zydrelle hostage. If you try to come after her, her throat will be slit the second you leave. If you do not believe me here is a lock of your daughters hair. I will keep in contact with you about my reward, but for your daughter's sake, do not try anything rash. Or it will be cost with her life. Sincerely, a bandit Akoor Torvic Zydrelle knew that they would waste no time in looking for her, and with that went to the stable and rode out on Yezi. She said goodbye to no one and made her journey towards Anvard where she hoped to find freedom. Meanwhile, her father had found the note, and had ordered posters to be everywhere looking for the now famous (and fake) bandit by the name of Akoor Torvic. Every man was looking for him for the reward money, but no one knew that Zydrelle herself was this bandit. She decided to futher disguise herself, she would pretend to be a boy by cutting her hair to her shoulders, and be named "Bandal" for her father had always called her by that name anyways. On the way through Teebeth, a very religious town, she heard preists talk of a rebellion. She snuck into the committee and found out there was a secret rebellion against the Tisroc, clearly disliking the Tisroc, and even though she was use to live a lavish life in Tashbaan and could not sympathize with them she joined. To her, this was the only way to really fight against marrying the Tisroc. Personality: Zydrelle has had a comforted life, but also has lived a life as a warrior at a young age. This caused her to have a strong personality. "Bandal" has always been told she was wise beyond her years for she acts sometimes like a 40 year old. But secretly, she feels just like a kid at heart especially when she goes hunting. She's very strong and brave and thinks lowely of those that are weak, not that she's mean, that is just how she was raised to think. She is like a man when she fights but is still a girl deep down since she admires nice things such as jewelry. She is a very complex character. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't go as far as saying he was the best guitar player ever. For you never know in the future, what I can say is, he was the best of his time and will be remembered forever. Some of his songs I consider classics that go with the Beatles, Eagles, and even Elton John. His death also had an effect on his fame, I mean look at Elvis. It sadly, made both their careers skyrocket. But I guess I would consider, Jimi Hendrix, one of the greats. Just like Elvis Presley.
Dream cars... this is something I never thought would happen... My dream car would be, simply, a customized Mustang GT convertable. Black with a gold crucifix on the hood, or maybe gold and red flames, with 24" spoked out rims in chrome. I have been in love with this car ever since I first saw it, and I have been making it over in my head, over and over, until I find something I like. Leather interior, sick sound system, the whole deal. Other than that, I'd want an Eleanor, in baby blue, NOS and all. ;) You car fanatics should know what I mean by that.
Salem pretty much guessed my dream car. I love mustang convertibles and I want to get one this summer badly. I've always wanted a convertible despite them being the most dangerous thing next to motorcycles (I mean that hood isn't too dependable is it?). But still it would be so awesome. I want it candy apple red with the black top. Just take a look at this thing Click here doesn't it just make you cry? Just kidding. In all fairness, I doubt I'd be able to get something half that nice. But hey, I can dream right?

If you've ever heard any of Gwen Stefani's new songs or seen her videos, you can see she's been creating the latest fad of Harajuku girls. What are Harajuku girls exactly? Well from the jist of it, their girls from the street. The ghetto in Japan I guess you could say. Also Harajuku is a place. The new phenomen inspired by music, of Japan Street Fashion. My questions are what do you think of Japan Street Fashion? I mean they look like characters from a part of an anime. Do you like or dislike the look? And why do you think music helped it expand to so much publicity here in the U.S? If your not quite sure what Japan Street Fashion is...you might want to take a look at this Click and you will see what I mean. Personally, I admire them for being unique, but I don't like the look. It's different to hear about something in another country besides America when it comes to music. Adds some variety. Post your thoughts on it.

Nightime grew around quicker then they expected, and Luca's condition was healing slower then Mel had hoped for. "This is all my fault" Mel exclaimed almost in tears, for she had been the one to use the wrong powder on the zombies. "Its alright. I'm sure I'll be fine." Luca said trying to get up but stubbled a bit grabbing a hold of his leg. "Don't move it." Imelda suggested as she began to adjust his bandages. Morag however, was out entertaining the crowd with stories that was waiting for the Secondhand fiddle's performance. They seemed quite intrigued. He stopped and slowly made his way to the stables where Luca was rested in a pile of hay. "I just want to say sorry for making you go out of your way for the flower, you really helped out a lot. You are really talented too, I can't believe you held the crowd's attention for that long!" complimented Mel to Morag. Widdershins in the back snickered while licking her paws and stated "That's nothing until they've seen me. The children especially are amazed." purred Widdershins as she slowly came around infront of Morag. Before Morag could say another word, the stable door opened with a loud bang. It was Sarissa and her dancing outfit in hand. "Look! Look at this Widdershins! Have you been sleeping on my dress again? I told you to watch out for it. There's cat fur EVERYWHERE. Theres no time to wash it now. Looks like I'll have cat chow mein tonight." explained Sarissa angrily, currently appalled that an animal had been sleeping on her belongings. Mel could not help but strain a laugh at the last comment for of course she was joking. "You should keep your dress in the trunk like the rest of the group you know. It's not my fault you were being so careless, and I needed a nap. And I'd like to see you try to even touch me." replied Widdershins barely paying attention to Sarissa. Before she could have the chance to comment back, Imelda spoke up. "Well, you could always use one of mine. I know we have different body types...and it would be a little tight in some areas. But I could try and adjust it just for tonight" she suggested bringing out a gypsy type looking dress with white and red trim. It was petite and slim and was one of her favorites. "Fine. I guess that will do." Sarissa groaned and walked out of the stable. She usually wasn't this aggressive, she was jutst moody after the long drive to Bernstern. Widdershin went back to licking her paws. Morag helped with Luca. Sarissa went to prepare in the Caravan. Katchya and Tical were off somewhere. And Imelda went to work on the dress. It would only be a matter of minutes until the show would begin.
Though I'm only 17, I have to disagree with some people in this thread for saying that you should stay together for your daughter. My own parents are doing that, clearly, they don't love each other anymore, and it hurts me sometimes. There have been times that I wish that they would just get a divorce so that we can all be happy again. Get this, I WISHED MY PARENTS TO GET A DIVORCE! Do you really want your daughter to feel the strain between you two? Do you want her to want you to get a divorce? Though, I don't know how old she is. If she's too young to understand, it might be different. But if she's old enough to understand when two people have tension between them (It happened to me, I think, when I was 8 or 9), then you should think about it. The whole reason he wants to leave is pretty selfish though. I do agree to the slightest degree that, yes, after fighting in Iraq, he needs to have his own life. But that life should be with you and your daughter.
Sorry but I have to agree with Minako on a certain extent and disagree with CowTipper. NEVER think that you should stay together for the child. If your daughter is young yes it will effect her less then when shes older, but its even worse if you decide to stay together just for your child. I knew a girl who's parents waited until she graduated and that split, it affected her more. It's not the smartest decision to do.
You know what the dumb thing is? He says he still loves me. He even said he wants this to end amicably. Though I can't figure out how he expects that doing this whole thing over the phone I think part of the way I can stop this is just try to have a normal conversation. You see, back when he was still in Iraq and I told him about the lying about the money thing, he wanted a divorce right then and now. But one day/night he called after a meeting he had to go to for dealing with your children when you get back from Iraq. We had a nice normal conversation about normal things. Nothing about our relationship or how I'm going to change. He's actually tried that a few times (well except for this afternoon when he called about the lawyer thing) but then I want to get to the heart of the matter. So I think that if he calls tomorrow I'll ask him about the new System of a Down CD and if he burned my copy of Fuel's Natural Selection CD. THen take it from there. But Morpeus is right, he won't have much of a life to live with child support and the fact that he has to try and have a relationship with our daughter. Good luck with that when you're 1.) Across the state and 2.) working 12 hour days. He's only see her every other weekend. So I still appreciate your advice. And support if this goes down.
I'm sure he does still say he loves you. And I believe that it is true. Sounds to me, that what he is going through is a mid-life crisis. You don't always have to be in your 50's to go through something like this. All men (and women in their own way) go through it. Some buy fancy cars. Some want to divorce their wives and feel they need to "Start over". Maybe its a phase he's going through since he got back from Iraq he feels the need to start over. One things for sure, you should never blame yourself for anything. It is not your fault. I guess you could say I believe in a man should love you for who you are, and your faults. You should never try and change yourself. It's an easy thing to get use to, but never blame yourself. Marriage is about committment, accepting the mistakes, and the other half's faults. He should be open to you about why he wants this divorce besides "I want my life back". You should tell him leaving his daughter and wife, is not going to make his life any easier. I guess you could say, I have a twisted view of men. But my family is going through something like this as well. My dad feels that he's not enjoying his life, so instead he quit his company, leaving my mom who was his partner, jobless. His excuse? "I work hard every day and no one appreciates anything. You all just want my money." and he tries to sell all my mother's things that she keeps in the house. My mom still is left with no job at the age of 50. He wants to move to Hawaii for half the year too without my mom to "Get away from it all". Strange? Yes. Most families fight because they don't have ANY money. Ironically, we fought because he thought we had too much money. I really don't quite understand it myself. Now I know you think this doesn't relate to divorce, but in a way its the same thing. Identity Crisis. Probably from coming back from Iraq, he's lost as to who he is right now. I would suggest counceling, it will definately help him with dealing with what troubles him or what he wants to do with his life. Its good to show support and its okay to try not to get a divorce. But if it indeed happens, you should never again blame yourself for it. My mother worries constantly of my father leaving her. Would you rather live your life afraid every moment that your partner is going to leave you and you'll be stuck alone? Or would you rather not have that fear? The anwser is obvious. It's better to be alone and happy then to be together and having the fear of the relationship falling apart constantly. I wish you the best of luck and hope things work out for the best. I hope he finally realises the mistake hes making, but if not, just know that it's not the end of the world. And you will move on. Most likely, he'll be wanting you back very very soon. Hope it works out CHW! *hugs* ^^

Favorite, strangest and most annoying commercials on TV now
Pumpkin replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Noosphere
I think it would have to be the Vonage commercials that sing that song from Kill Bill. Something like "Woo hoo woo hoo hooo" and it keeps going on and on and on till it gets stuck in your head. The best one is when these people are having a race with their legs tied and the guy runs into the shed. haha. classic. But yeah, that song, gets especially annoying after the 50th time you've heard it. -
Based on the Chronicles of Narnia Series by C.S. LewisNow Our Story Begins... London ; England somewhere in the 1800's There once was a boy who went by the name of William Sharp. But most people just called him Will. He went to Wellington Academy for Misbehaving boys. Its not that he was a bad child really, he just loved to pull pranks. He had lived with his father in London until his stepmother moved in and convinced him that he had best be sent away to a boarding school. Her name was Patrisha and she was a crude women. The rest of the story, is obvious. Will disliked his school. You can't say how his friend's bonded with him, for he had few. If he had to choose a best friend however, it would have to be Eustace Scrubb. He found Eustace to be interesting especially telling tales of a make-believe world of Narnia. Of course, this led Will to believe that Eustace was somewhat off the deep end but it didn't matter. They accepted one another's weaknesses. Little did Will know that this tale would become a reality, and he would have a story of his own. One bright afternoon, the kind of afternoons you want to be outside in the sunshine napping, the students of Wellington Academy went out for a fieldtrip. The teacher was Mrs. Brody. A screwd looking woman, her gray hair tied back into a tight bun that stretched her face, old looking socks that looked like they hadn't seen daylight in years and wearing a pleaded long skirt with a sweater on. Not the kind of clothes you would expect on such a fine afternoon. "Bah look at this weather, just simply horrible!" bellowed the teacher, for you see, she loathed sunny days. All the boys murmed to one another, they were excited, for it was a rare occasion for them to leave the boarding school. One by one they marched in a line down the street and turned into what looked like a house with a garden. "Where are we?" asked a young blonde haired boy in the middle of the line. The sign above the gate read "Diggory's Apple Farm" and a symbol of a lion next to it. The teacher ignoring the boy, shouted "Alright. I want no trouble from any of you, anyone who disobeys orders will get no supper for tonight. Be respectful" and walked off without them just as a dusty old man slowly made him way towards the boys. It was a tour guide. They were to learn about the fertilization and history of the apple trees in London. "This is just wonderful" exclaimed Will rolling his eyes, but soon had a wide grin on his face. "Hey Eustace, look at that well over there? I wonder what's in it?"asked curiously for it appeared centuries old and was covered with vines. "Just dead leaves at the bottom I'd think. Don't expect me to go find out, I don't want to miss any supper!" exclaimed Eustace for he had been in enough trouble lately as it is. "Fine. I'll check it out myself." said Will but Eustace was already gone ahead with the group. Now was his chance. He slowly snuck over to the well and glanced into it. There was a wierd copper light eluminating out of it, and sand at the bottom. "It doesn't look too far, I wonder if I jump down in it, if I can get up." as he begun to stand upon the well and look down. A whirlwind of sand began to swirl at the bottom of the well, wind started blowing out of it causing Will's black hair to get into his eyes, and a crackling of thunder could be heard. "Whats going on!?" shouted Will but before he could get anymore words out he had lost his balance and fell into the well. Except he did not reach the bottom. Down he went untill everything turned black and it seemed as if he were traveling through space. Next he felt sand, lots of it, on his feet, and his hands, for he had fell face forward into it. As soon as Will got up he noticed something different, he was in a desert of some sort, it was night time, and there was no one to be seen. Will could only wonder where he was, and if he'd ever find his way home. Meanwhile Happenings Elsewhere... Somewhere in the Great Desert of Calormen A hooded black figure rode across the wide desert, his robe flying out in the dry air as he raced towards what seemed to be a little house on the outskirts of the desert. He looks to be part horse and part human. Arriving upon the house stands a badger, awaiting his arrival. "Come in, Come in Lord Megandus." whispers the talking badger signaling him to come inside the small house. "Thank you Mr. Badger" the creature called Megandus replied as he took a seat by the fireplace. "How goes Narnia? What do the stars read? I must know everything since its not like you see many centaurs in these parts" exclaimed the badger puffing on his pipe. He was an intelligent badger, no doubt from Narnia himself where all the animals have speech. "I have read the stars. Aslan has made an appearace here. Or perhaps, brought another visitor from the other world..." murmed the centaur for he was remembering the stories he heard about the High King Peter. "But surely, if he was to bring a new king, it would be in Narnia? Why the desert, so close to Calormen?" asked the badger meakly, for there were many questions racing through his mind. "That part I do not know. We shall see in the future. But from what the stars read, Calormen is going to undo a big change. Maybe this visitor...will become the next Tisroc. Or perhaps to run as king and free this country from its slavery that it has so been used to since long before our time" pondered the centaur to the badger who looked quite interested in what they had to say. "A rebellion! A rebellion against the Tisroc! Could it be possible? Could us talking beasts really be free to live in a place such as this? To think of the possibilities, a friendship between Calormen and Narnia. Impossible." said the Badger excited. "A rebellion against the Tisroc sounds correct...the outcome unknown. My vision is clowded towards it. I'm sure if it was meant to be known, it would say so. However, I do know, one group will make a difference." explained Mugundus, for he had been reading the stars for many years. "Who is in this group? Who determines the outcome?..Oh I do wish if only we could have some more anwsers" sighed the badger. "Thats the scary part. We don't know. And that is what worries me most." stated the centaur for if the rebellion failed, all chaos would break out in all of Calormen. Your Destiny A group of six people have created an underground rebellion against the tyrant called the Tisroc. He is king of all that is Calormen, the desert country. With your help only will then Calormen prosper. This is a tale of the group that calls themselves "The Six Elite" people banding together, go on a journey to try to recruit others into the rebellion and to break Calormen's strict chaste system and make it into a once and for all free country. Through loopholes and turns, this tale can take any turn, but it is up to YOU to decide how the journey ends. Rulebook & Info Here are some things I'd like you to keep in mind... * Obsessive swearing or gore violence. Its a Narnia RPG. I put L in there because I don't mind swearing every once in awhile, I mean Calormen guards are suppose to be ruthless right? But when its every other word, thats when it becomes a problem. My advice try not to overdue things. Also with the violence theres going to be many battles I predict, so I don't mind blood, missing limbs, etc. I mean like things that are considered out there. Example : "William's eye gushed out of his head splattering on the floor and Tumnus picked it up and ate it with a crunch". Ew. Thats going a bit too far. Just no disgusting stuff please. * The group is a part of the REBELLION. That means that you cannot claim that you are the Tisroc or can control people in anyway so don't try. You can however be the Tisroc's son, but that would only mean your betraying your father. Betrayal is also an option although I don't recommend everyone doing it. (After all if the group is gone what hope do we have of winning?) Nevertheless, keep in mind that the rebellion starts off as a secret. Whatever you want to do with your character, feel free to explore the boundaries, just don't make yourself a powerful god. * Calormen is a neighboring country of Narnia. Yes in the story there are talking beasts but in Calormen they are none. Just think of old time Egypt or Arabian tales and you have the basic feel of what it is like living there. * About SignUps is I will only pick five people and this doesn't mean the first five to join. Whoever's character I find most developed, unique and will make the story interesting will get in. So just make sure your character stands out. Also HTML is allowed in Signups but is not required. * You can come from Narnia or from another country like Archland if you want too, but I only allow 1-2 people to have this chance, since the majority has to be calormenes. * I need someone who wants to play William Sharp. This is the only character that is required. PM me if you'd like the spot. He starts off at age 12. Keep in mind that Narnian time is different so he can get older while being in Calormen. * To make sure you read the rulebook and info please put "No one knows any story but their own" quote at the end of your signup under password. Any other information can be found in the underground thread [ click ] Which I highly recommend reading. This is very much suggested because it lists all statuses. Also before you place your status, it might be much easier, if you were to add in a profession if you have one. Example : Thief (Peasant) Dancer (Peasant) Potter (Slave) Weaponsmith (Tarkaan) and what part of the chaste system you fit under. Hope that made sense. Hometown: You will definately have to use the underground thread to find your city or home country by clicking here. Meanwhile near the Caravan.... Mel pulled out a bottle of holywater and began mixing it adding in Petrification powder and some rosemary. Luca quirked his eyebrow at the thought of why she would be putting in rosemary. "What? They smell! I don't like the smell of rotting flesh anymore then you do."Imelda snipped as she began to pour the holy water across the pathway. "They shall not take a step further then this" She stated just as Luca fired his first ball of light on the first approaching Zombie. It shrieked piercing their ears so that they winced, and then fell shortly to the ground. "Impressive. But watch closely." Imelda bousted as she began to walk towards the other two approaching at a fast speed."No, Don't! It's way too dangerous by yourself." Shouted Luca for they were really approaching at a rapid speed. Mel began to enchant words she learned from her mother, who had learned from a holy monk. It was not a spell of magic, but it made her faith stronger. She threw the holywater onto the zombies and watched as each one shrieked and covered their faces, they will still moving slowly however, towards her. Imelda shocked, stared in bewilderment with her mouth open. "That was my best petrification and curse potion, they should not be able to walk by now" Imelda mumbled to herself, forgetting that infact, they were still approaching her. "Look out!" Luca bellowed for now they were just upon her. One of the zombies was almost close enough to strike her when Luke jumped over the circle of holy water and rushed at the zombies knocking them to the ground making a large "THUD" sound. Imelda finally snapping out of her daze and glanced at Luca. "Luke, I'm sorry. I was being careless, I just can't believe my petrification powder failed..I mean its just never happened before. Since after all I am the best alchemists there is!" Mel exclaimed through her sympathy. "It's okay, we all have our moments." Luca comforted her, but soon let out a yelp for he felt a terrible sharp pain in his left knee, for infact a zombie had grabbed a tight hold of it. Its shrieks made even a widdershin's hairs who was watching stand on end. Morag who had been left out of the action for awhile now, quickly hit the zombie on the head with his pan. "BANG BANG BANG" went the pan while he was mumbled " I hate zombies. I hate zombies. I hate zombies" until it's body went limp for good. "Luca you okay?"Morag asked as he tried to help the fallen man up. Luca flinched. "Yeah, but I think I pulled something" he suggested but Imelda could see a bit of blood streaming down his leg. "Let me look at it for a second"Mel exclaimed as she bent down to take a further look at the cut, but her face soon grew pale and wished she hadn't. There was green foaming liquid running down his leg the color of poison. "What is it Mel?" asked Luca curiously for mysterious his leg had become very numb. "The good news is, I know why my petrification powder didn't work. The bad news is, I know that my poison one does." explained Mel as she began to tie his leg up in a bandage. "And what exactly does this poison do?" Morag said scratching his head, for he did not know much about alchemy or anything of the sort. "This poison is called BandelWeave. It's called weave because one day you will feel pain and the next it will be numb. The good thing is that you will rarely be in pain, the bad, it kills anyone who does not receive the antidote within 5 full days. But luckily, I have these ingredients stored in my handbox." lectured Mel as she made her way over to the caravan pulling out her supplies. She counted the ingredients and soon began to grow even more white. "I am missing one ingredient. A lotus flower. It's fairly common in these part of woods, but hard to find. They grown around buildings, I'm sure the village might have one."Imelda stated to Luca who was looking sicker every moment. "If theres anything I can do Luke..Just say so...I mean I put you in this mess. Its all my fault."Mel said while sighing. It seemed she caused nothing but trouble. "So...Who's going to get this, lotus flower? I mean, Luca can't walk, you have to create the potion and I doubt Widdershins will step a foot in that forest, the guy would probably have to be clueless of the dangers to go into that forest anyway, with all the zombies, and who knows whats in there?" Morag complained but soon regretted it when he saw their faces. "Me? Why is it always me? Argh, I hate being suckered into these things...Fine I'll go...but I better get a nice dinner after this too...Widdershins you owe me." He stated but only got a low growl from the cat ontop of the caravan. Imelda began to work on the potion, and Luca laid down in the back of the Caravan. Morag set out on his task of finding the lotus flower, and disapered into the depths of the forest. Lewis Underground Learn About Calormen Across miles after miles of the Great Desert lays the country that doths the name Calormen. To the north of it lays Archland, a green beautiful country that is across from the magical land called Narnia. But Calormen is a harsh desert country, unlike Narnia, they do not believe in or have things such as magic, talking beasts and trees, and all the things that Narnia possesses. It is four times the size of Narnia. They fear not the lion that rules the country, who goes by the name of Aslan because they believe in a variety of gods who they fear. Tash is the supreme god, a four armed vulture-headed creature who brings death, Zardeenah the goddess of moon, night and unwed maidens, and Azaroth the god of union and difference. There is also Efreet and Jiin who are desert spirits. This country is ruled by one man, The Tisroc. The Tisroc is a mere mortal man, who is the Emperor that runs all the happenings in the land of Calormen, everyone must obey him. He lives in the capital of Tashbaan, a city that stands on an island between two streams and is considered "one of the wonders of the world". It is enclosed in a circle with highwalls and towers, the island rises in a hill that is smothered packed with buildings but at the very top lays the Temple of Tash and The Tisroc's Palace. The whole country is made up of many different cities, but they all follow the same strict chaste system that they have had for centuries. It starts off with the Tisroc. For it is tradition that after they even speak his name, they say "May he live forever". Then there are Tarkaan's and Tarkheenas. Tarkheenas are usually Tarkaan's wives but also can be their daughters of Tarkaan's. Arranged marriages are common among them. They are considered Lords or Knights of the Tisorc, who they fight for and are also considered upper class. Tarkaan's also can be pronounced as their last names. Example : Aravis Tarkheena. Then there are peasants. Poor or common people. Then Servants. Those who serve Tarkaan's or richer folk as maids. And Slaves. That are also owned by many Tarkaan's and even poor people and do most of the dirt work, the bottom of the chain. All those born in Calormen are called Calormenes. Other facts about the Calormen is that their economy is very bad. They eat oil on their toast instead of butter, and are an arabian type of country which means they eat a lot of dry food from living in the desert. They are most known for their fiersome battles and also for their elaborate storytelling style. Cities and Towns Tashbaan - Look above. FAQ & Anwsers Have a question? Need an anwser? Just respond below. I've posted some simple ones. What is Chronicles of Narnia? Narnia is part of a book series called "Chronicles of Narnia" by author C.S. Lewis. There is also the movie coming out of the most famous book "The Witch,The Wardrobe and The Lion". You can find out more about Narnia on this website ChroniclesOfNarnia.com where it explains a lot of the basics. It's a seven book series, you don't have to know much about Narnia though to join this RPG, but it would certainly make things easier for those that have. Is this a Narnia RPG? In a way, yes this is a Narnia RPG. I love Narnia, although its not in the setting of Narnia, this is about Calormen. Good question though. Although I must admit, some characters that may play in this RPG could be from Narnia, the plot will mostly be in Calormen only. Hope that clears everything up. Are you going to be strict with Sign-Ups? I kind of want to be, but I don't want that to discourage new members or anyone from not signing up. As long as you come up with a unique character, you'll be suprised that I'll be easily impressed. The fact is I think I'm only going to allow 5 to 7 characters at most. I haven't decided on the exact number but there will be a limitation. I want there to be atleast one person on the Tisroc's side also. What style of roleplaying are you looking to do? I thought about doing the Chapter system. I hear that makes things more organized. This is my first time making an RPG here on OB, so I don't really know what works best. If anyone can give me advice that'd be great. I'm really excited about it. What do you mean by rebellion? Is there a war going on? A rebellion is something that goes against the government right? Well the rebellion is a group of people that are going against the government of Calormen, to put it simply, to overthrow the Tisroc. They want to free the slaves, peasants, and to make it a peaceful land for it has been run horribly for centuries. As for a war...hmm....well you never know. We shall see. Have Any other Questions? Please Post Below Credits A big thank you to these people for your help Banner @ Ozymandius Jones Uploading Midis @ Aiyisha Chronicles of Narnia Series @ C.S.
Well, here is my attempt, nothing all that flashy or fancy, but I like it.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/ozyssite/desertsun.jpg
And the name intrigues me. Is it going to be a Narnia RP?
I do like this banner too..any other person is still willing to try though ^^ and yes it is going to be a somewhat Narnia RPG...except it will not be about Narnia, but about Calormen. So you could say its based on the Chronicles of Narnia series, it will be very similar.

I'm creating an RPG and I'm in need of a banner. If anyone is willing to give it a try, I'd be most gratefull. I'm looking for it to be about alittle smaller then this picture but almost as big. This is the picture I want to use for it. [ Click ] It must say "Rebellion of Calormen" I'll chose the one that suits it best^^

What Does your sig, avi and username say about you.
Pumpkin replied to shinji172's topic in General Discussion
I suppose I'll do Tasrai then =) Username : Tasrai is either a nickname or a name you usually go by. Either you use it in videogames or just on the forums I do not know, but it holds a special meaning to you. If you made it up, you have a very vivid and creative imagination that only a striving author would have. Custom Title : Goat Herder. O_o . Obviously you like goats. You like to herd them. What else is there to say? Either that, or you've got a wierd sense of humour. But thats not a bad thing. Avatar & Signature : Again your quote suggests that you have a wide imagination, people must look up to you for. The winter scene in your ava and signature is soft, meaning your a gentle and relaxed person. You avatar suggests that you also go by the name of "Tas" as a sort of pet name. You embrace your dreams you had when you were a child instead of letting it go like others, which is why you can still use your imagination. Okay..well I gave it my best shot ^^ -
If they made an advice sub-forum, it would probably take half of the threads in the Lounge away form it. What would be cool is something like an advice column thread, where someone dedicated enough to answer questions (maybe even a team of people) could... be an adivce columnist.
Wow thats actually not that bad of an idea. Although I doubt the people that run this site will infact go for this. It takes a lot of effort and of course, I can see it turning out for the worse. It would lose the chance of regular members being able to offer their own advice to the person, as long as they don't take away the chance for members to give their own advice, this idea could be pulled off. It's a good idea, but it needs to be evenly divided and not just run by moderators. That would kind of limit everyone's freedom. Not fun for us members and means less advice for the person seeking it. Hope you get what I mean the right way. (this doesn't mean that mods wouldn't do a good job).
Well, unlike Piro, I have somewhere between 300 and 400 cd's. If I lost them all, I would be incredibly pissed. It's a good thing I've backed most of them up on my computer (I have a big hard drive). Anyways, something like that happened to one of my friends, someone broke into her car and stole her radio and all her cd's. It's a sad world we live in, and it sucks even more without a soundtrack.
This has happened to my sister. TWICE. It really sucks. Lesson here is not to put too many CDS at one time in your car, just in case. I'm not that rich, so I can't say I have a lot of CDs. Most of mine are burned now anyways, and my friends and I trade each other. I mostly only get the new ones that come out that I really really want and have someone burn them for me, sometimes I buy them though if I have the money. I would love to have 200 CDS+ that would so rock. Once I get my burner up though, I'm going to be rolling in CDS. That will be awesome. Although I don't know where I'd stick them all hmm. I've never heard of the video game before, I seriously want to check it out! I think it would be great if they made a movie, as long as of course, it doesn't suck. Most second series or movies of great series end up being bad, but hopefully just hopefully this one will live up to the series. I love how it actually has a significant meaning hidden in each episode, like when Lila gets to eyes but decides she's perfect with just one. Plus, bender rocks. Who doesn't love a robot who likes hookers, beer, and stealing purses? He's my hero ^_^ lol I just love 'em. Although this series isn't as good as Family Guy, (I like them both by the way) It's my second fav. I like how its all based in the future though. Dr. Zoidberg is by far the most unique character ever. Hopefully this movie will be a good thing, not a bad thing. I'm looking forward to them considering to make it. Fav Quote : Fry: It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?

(( OOC : Hope it's okay that I used HTML. Sorry if its too short.)) Imelda caught herself laughing with the others at Morag which caused her to stop. She had been the newest member of the Cold Spades and was strictly on buisness, but could not help but bond with these people. Deep down in her heart she envied their closeness but neither did she admit to recognizing this feeling. Shaking the thought out of her head and convincing herself she was being foolish, she checked to see how much stun powder she had used on the Moltenders. "Only a pinch it seems" Imelda thought to herself. She put the stun powder back onto the hilt of her belt where she kept most of her used items, for on her right side, were the most simplist powders and potions. This included mostly stun, confusion, sleepness, curing of nausea and headaches etc. On the left of her belt held the most dangerous of potions, ones that had permanent effects. Her hand grazed the last bottle which was filled with a mysterious clear blue liquid and she flinched. She never had used this potion and wished she never had to in her lifetime. One drop of this potion consumed by any creature or person would be deceased in 10 seconds. The only one that is not curable. It was called Dragon's breathe, for it is said, that the moment they take their second breath, they do not live to see a moment after. Mel was glad that her mother had been a well-known alchemist, for she knew every trick and loophole there is. One day, she hoped she would gain fame from finding the Dragon Dews and become even more known. The thought brought an smug grin on her face. "Mel, what are you doing over there? Are you ready to get on the road?" Luca shouted from over the caravan next to Katchya. Despite Imelda's snobbish behavior toward the others especially toward Sarissa who she viewed as more of a rival than anything, she could not help but like Luca. After all, although she didn't know magic, alchemy is similar to magic in its own way. She didn't even mind him calling her Mel. "Yeah, just checking if my potions didn't get damaged is all." She replied snapping out of her daydream, as she climbed up into the caravan. Katchya was inside looking down at her weapons and fiddling with them. Morag was near the back somewhat sulking to himself. The caravan rocked back and forth over the dirt road as they went along the pathway. Imelda sighed and thought "This is going to be one long journey for me....."
Yes, there's truth to every stereotype, which is why they exist. Do you think people fabricated stereotypes out of thin air? They're based on facts.
Don't get me wrong, people have fabricated stereotypes for a long time starting by someone stating that its true. But is it? Is that good enough to say that it is almost a fact? So your saying all blondes are mentially challenged? And that most people who wear glasses are nerds? Yeah, there are few people who PUT themselves into that stereotype because that is what others tell them. Some blondes act stupid just because simply their a blonde and that is what is "expected" of them. I find this so idiotic, but is embraced by the media. Example? Paris Hilton. No way someone can be that dumb and run an empire. But she plays the role well. As long as their our people willing to make money or support the stereotypes, they will always be around. But that doesn't infact, make them ANY close to facts. It's mostly all the media stating the BS. People would be well-off without stereotypes which only makes people even more shallow and They miss out on meeting great people.

I can't really relate to you or the others about moving, because I have never moved since the day I was born. I've always been in the same spot. (Its really quite boring here actually) But anyways, I have to agree with the person who came up with the livejournal idea, that will never die. Phone calls will never stop, and IMs can die away too, but if you have a blog of some sort that people can just leave comments from now and then, thats a way of still holding on. I would suggest Myspace, Xanga, and Live Journal since they seem to be the most populated ones right now. Whatever suits you best. I hope everything works out for you, and don't forget, long distant friendships can last, even if they go slowly. You will always make new friends where you go, but don't forget about your old ones if they are worth being kept.
Perhaps that counts as being prideful, but when I've been through something horrific or terrible, the last thing I need is someone gushing " You poor thing" if I've chosen to share my experience with them. [/font']
I can kind of relate to you on this part, that is why there is a big difference between sympathy and pity. It's okay to pity someone just matters how you do it and what you are pitying. A good example of the right kind would be SunfallE's. It's okay to pity the family, to feel sorry for them, because yes they did lose someone close to them. But to degrade someone in pity, is another matter. If I were to pity someone for being poor openly, thats degrading someone's pride. We all have it, and I get easily insulted by people feeling sorry for me. But then again, some people like that. I guess it all depends on the situation and the person your dealing with.
I have given the your request a try. I am sorry, but I didn't try to make an avatar. It's okay if you didn't make an ava, any character would have done though it really doesn't matter to me :) Thanks everyone!

What would you choose Love or your Dreams?
Pumpkin replied to WhiteAoiFox's topic in General Discussion
I think what she meant was "love of your life," as in "you two were meant to be." In this case, I'd pick my dreams. Firstly, you can always find another 'love,' even if they're not as 'perfect' as the first one. Secondly, my dreams are more important than emotions. My dreams are my purpose in life. By dropping my dreams, I'm dropping my purpose, and in effect, losing my purpose in life. I'd never do that just to live happily ever after.
I kind of feel the way that Retribution feels. Love will come and go but your dreams and goals last forever. However I feel its a personal opinion. Would if your dream is to indeed, fall in love? I know I once thought that would be the ideal thing, but as I got older my goals changed and I realized I don't need someone after all. What I do in life is what matters to me most. All I can say is do what feels right to you. And hope that it works out for the best. -
What Does your sig, avi and username say about you.
Custom Title: "You look like a tasty appetizer." My first thought is O___o but then I actually think about it and what I can draw from that.... bizarre line is that you like your food, which ties in well with your username. I think it may also show that you find it easy to admire other people and have no trouble with complimenting them. Maybe I'm wrong.
lol sorry that first sentence there made me laugh. I guess a lot of people might take tasty appetizer the wrong way, basically its an inside joke ^^ but your pretty much on the dot. Except for the food part...I mean I love food..but who doesn't? It's not like I'm obsessed with food or anything *cough* And yes I agree about Unborn X's RPG, I need to finish that one. I hope it starts soon! That one rocks ^___^ -
I agree with your interpretation of a hero, but not a leader. Your definition of a leader can be true in some cases, but a leader can range from a great leader of a country, to someone who merely guides or looks over other people ( your boss at a job). If you take the second example, and say a boss, the person is a leader, but many people may not like him/her at all.
Boxybrown is right about the hero defintion. A hero is someone who you can admire or look up upon, someone that is inspiring in a way. A leader doesn't have to be inspiring, infact, a leader may just as well be disliked or hated. It's someone that guides people as boxy stated. You pretty much hit the dot on the differences between the two so I have nothing to say but to agree with what is said above.
