1.
Yeah, I was assuming 'sow some oats' meant that, just by the way my cousin was nedging me with his elbow and laughing like middle schooler. I wasn't too sure, if he was laughing at what he said, or just the way I was opening up to him. I'm getting a lot of "end it now" responses all around. To be honest, I agree with most of the opinions I'm getting from family and friends. It's just what if I'm just being paranoid...and I'm dump her for no reason. We've been going out for awhile, I don't know if I can end right away. I don't know, it's just a huge dilema for me...I do adore her a lot.
Alright, do me a favor. Get a piece of paper and pen and on the top write down "Positives and Negatives" on two seperate sides. On each side, write down on one the negatives of your relationship and on the other the positives. Are there more negatives? This could mean that you don't find your relationship worth saving and you should talk with her about it. I think if you be honest with her and ask if she wants your relationship to continue, this will let her be honest with how she feels. Even if you two do break up, eventually you will feel better. My friend once told me "You survived without them, you can do it again" and it always seemed to help me. Love is kind of like breaking your arm, it hurts but it always heals. As corny as it sounds, it's true. I didn't want to give you a post simply stating "Dump her" that's a bit too harsh for me. Wish you the best.

Facebook? New? *laugh* You do realize facebook is older then myspace right? But yes, facebook has been around for a long time. It's more conservative and less modern then Myspace. It's more of a downgrade really, I prefer myspace mostly due to how easy it is, even though I never use it anymore. Ahh....that amused me.
  3.
P.P.S.: A recent picture of me and my university mates reminded me of Honey and Clover[/i']. Just a thought.
ehehe, I
  4. 1: What changes (if any) do you think the forum structure needs? Honestly I was really hoping we could have added the nexus on, being involved in mmo's but after I came up with mmo listings and Hardwired combined the two forums together, that seems a bit pointless now. I think however that we can appeal to attract gamers more and not just anime/rpg people. This means people playing WOW, EQ2 or whatever who want to get away from the main forums to discuss something, but it seems that might be pointless unless we can attract anyone to this site for it, possibly making a mini-section for certain guilds to use? I have no idea. ;/ 2: What new sites would you add to the OB Network? I don't know if I would create a whole new website..but if you did, and it was for gamers, then we'd have a site for everything artwork, rpg/anime, and games. I also agree with the Review site, I believe that would be amazing, and fun to read. Almost like a newspaper to read. I would LOVE to review MMO's or upcoming ones, or even videogames being the nerd that I am, I'm always signing up to beta test something. Something like mmo.com would do, their layout is simplistic and gorgeous. Hope you decide on something like this, it would make OB expand to a wider audience then just anime/rpg fans. 3: Should OB Network provide a free hosting service to members for their own personal sites? If you have your own personal site, would you consider having it hosted by OtakuBoards? I wouldn't mind it being hosted by OB, I could definately have my guild page hosted, that might be a bit better then using plain ol' guild portal. Guild Portal's a bit outdated and believe it or not, complicated for me. 4: Comments/Suggestions I think the profile updated would be nice. Especially if you add in some cool features or even just an updated profile picture size. I know its hard for me to resize my pictures and actually end up looking alright. I think all the suggestions listed above, are excellent.
  5. I'm sticking this into hardwired, because it deals with html, graphics and websites. I want to create a website for a personal reason, not buisness however I'm HTML illiterate. The host website has instructions and guides to putting things on, but not on how to make graphics. I wanted to put some great graphics up for my site, however, I realize one thing after 2 years on Paintshop Pro. I HATE making graphics, and I have no skill whatsoever. Most people would say screw it, and I even looked for someone who did services for personal websites. Their all strictly for buisnesses and corporations. Even if it seems ridiculous, do you know of any sights that sell good graphics at a resonable price? I'd rather pay then make a graphic. I guess that seems pathetic, but I really decided that I'm done with making graphics and I have yet to try Photoshop but don't really have the time to learn 2x years worth of knowledge. If anyone from here could help me with this little Dilemma that would be soooo wonderful, because I only have about six major things that I need. If not, I was wondering if anyone could give me advice or links on websites for HTML or even graphic making. If worse comes to worse, I'm going to have to make it all myself. But I'm a slow learner when it comes to computers, and it's going to be one big headache. Oh and please, if you do put in some links to sites, make sure I can understand them. I do not even get Javascript, etc. CCS, when people try to explain it to me it's like trying to teach a dog to drink tea standing up. It's just not going to work like that. Yup, I'm a slowpoke. So advice?
  6.
Yeah let's use that on a lot of people at once! The sweet old school crowbar would be even more effective. Of course I, as a true professional weapon expert, would obviously take the BFG9000 when I would have to clear multiple people without wanting to harm myself. Either that, or I would use my interactive pocketsized inflatable Johnny Depp look-a-like. Hordes of fangirls equals mass destruction.
Ahaha....I
  7. Name: Mom Real name: Agotha "Aggie" Current age: Unknown she pretends she can't hear you. Height: Short, thats all I can say. Hair: Light brown with lots of blonde highlights. Eh, what's there to say? My mom use to help run her own construction company, when that ended, she now works for a storage company in a town nearby. She was born in Budapest, Hungary and has lived in the Dominic Republic and New Jersey until she turned five. Then she wound up in California, Lake Tahoe, and was raised there. So that makes me half, hungarian. She's noisy, inconsiderate, and always thinks that I'm wrong. I think I get my stubborness from here, seeing as how I have a trouble admitting I'm wrong as well. Anyways, yes we hungarians/europeans are very stubborn. Think I got that one down. So, besides that, she doesn't cook and is constantly complaining. She always tells me, that I'm a bum and is a wierd woman who speaks hungarian because she knows I can't speak it and will talk about me behind my back. However, what she doesn't know is that I'll fly to Europe to learn it one day....yup one day... Yes, I love my mom.
  8. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with admiring a member of OB in any way, it's when you do simply because they are surrounded by others who do. For instance, I've never really talked with BKStyles other then in an RPG, which he did fairly well. I also LOVE White's Elements rpgs [in which i'm waiting like a mad women for one to come out soon, tehe ] Like Dragon Warrior, I would be biased when stating people, especially since I use to talk to about 1/2 the people here but I'm no longer active on AIM so I have yet to meet new people. [Shame really, but real life gets in the way ] I honestly don't care how many people I know, who or what but I think it's okay to value someone's input. Most of it however is biased based on how they get along better with that person, or who has the most friends. That's not what popularity should be. It's like being a moderator, you don't seek to become a mod, they ask you. That's how I view it atleast. Honestly, there are always going to be 'cliques' or fanclubs, but I ignore it because I don't care if I'm invited into the 'special' group or not. Dragon Warrior, definately I have to say though owns up to his reputation. Not only IS he a great guy, and one of the first people I really talked too, but he definately always has something to input. Members who post RPGS, or atleast try, have my support. Also SunfallE, is someone that I think is always helpful to new members, and deserves recognition as well. Edit:
This post was better when you were talking at length about your imagined greatness.[/color']
And hurt all their feelings? Naw, you should know I'm too nice to tell the truth. XD
  9.
That's my point. :) If the sex trade were regulated, you wouldn't have to worry about those problems that are currently haunting the industry. Okay, so legalizing it isn't enough. It needs to be regulated. It needs to be watched over as closely (hopefully more closely) than our water systems or spinnach farmers. :P There are legal brothels in Nevada. The women there have safety regulations they have to follow, are regularly checked up for STDs by doctors, and are not 'owned' by pimps or the like. They clock in and out like a regular job... because it is a regular job, their regular job. You also have to keep in mind strippers/exotic dancers and porn stars. As far as I know, these are both legalized jobs with regulations. Actors and actresses in the porn industry have their health checked by a doctor very regularly unless they wish to leave the industry.-r2
R2vq, just read my thoughts on this one. Okay, so porn star isn't technically a prostitute yet your being payed to have sex on camera? Hmmm...whats the difference behind closed doors? There ARE sex brothels in Nevada, as long as their safe (and believe me I've seen the shows they do NOT get payed very high because you have to pay for your "Supplies" which is like half your pay) it's a crappy way to live but its out there. I think selling yourself on the street however, should be illegal. If we legalized that, there would be half naked chicks running everywhere in clear stilleto heels, (stop drooling now men) and honestly I think thats a little TOO much for me. I understand other countries have it, and obviously this has been around for a century or so. So it's definately not going anywhere. Basically what was said before, about pimps and the slave trade going on is NOT cool, however I find brothel places to be fine. You just won't see me anywhere near them. I don't understand why there would be such a heated argument about it.
  10. Hello there! I've been feeling like something sleak and new for my banner/avatar set, and would appreciate someone to make me the avatar and banner with the name "Peanut" included on it. Also, added to the banner would be the saying underneath it "Always by your side." Looking for something unique and different :) I appreciate anyone who actually attempts to read this. Kudos to you. I would love it with this picture ---- > Here. Thank you!
  11. Some of you may have already known why I might have come up with this idea of this thread seeing as how I just had surgery and it got me thinking about other people's experiences within the hospital. What has been your worse surgery or if you've never HAD surgery before, maybe share a painful experience? Please don't list a broken ankle unless that's seriously the worst thing you've ever really been through. Also, have you ever had an experience where you were misdiagnosed or had an instince where they did not know what was wrong with you? Have you ever been put on disability and how did your work handle this? What kind of recovery process did you go through? [ [ please note you can skip this part ] ] I had a really bad experience at the hospital recently. Four days ago, I went to the emergency hospital at night and was immediately admitted. They diagnosed me as just having the stomache flu and gave me some pills to take and told me just to drink liquids when I got home. The doctor seemed irritated and I think he just wanted to get me home (which makes no sense cause it wasn't crowded at all). After sitting at home all day feeling awful and not being able to eat OR drink water like I was suppose too (let's just say it never reached my stomache). I ended up going to the emergency room the next night. I ended up waiting 5 hours in the waiting room because they did not think my condition was that serious, and then 2 hours once I got into a room. I was pricked with an IV atleast six times because I was severly dehydrated after not drinking anything for a whole day and I was still naustious. After my CAT Scans, this doctor finally diagnosed me for appendicitis [ a.k.a. ruptured appendix ] and gangrene infection in my stomache . I had to have surgery immediately and they quickly had to find a surgeon. Within 30 minutes, I was wheeled into surgery and it took about 3 1/2 hours apparently. Afterwards I was poked up to 11x with more IVS because my veins were still bad. They had to use an ultrasound that they use on seeing babies to even see my veins. Whats worse is the surgeon told me if I would have decided to stay at home, my stomache would have burst. This could have been dealt with SOONER by the first doctor if he had actually given me a blood test. After that, most of my recovery dealt with resting and not eating or drinking for ANOTHER day. The next day fluids only. And after that I was eating food again. Being in the hospital just made me realize that some people have to go through this a lot, and this was definately one of my first major surgeries. Especially having one on the stomache isn't as simple as I thought. I'm also going on diability seeing as how I can't lift or stand for very long, and it's been tough trying to fight my job for it seeing as how they sent me things like they can't guarantee my job back. Ahem, anyways, that is my story. I'm now finally at home. One of the worst things is also when the pulled the drain from my stomache, ugh worst feeling ever. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it still hurt. Quite a lot. Besides I'm able to eat pizza & ice cream now which feels so good after you've lived off jello for a day or two. [ [ Fin ] ] So, what are your worst moments of being in the hospital? And has anyone else gone through surgeries like this one? It's very saddening to see because I don't think I've ever felt like I've been a hospital that long before and can't imagine doing it on a basis. It was like being held in prison, I hated it a lot of the times. But maybe that's just me.
  12. Well I wish I could tell you DeathKnight. Unfortunately my graphics card can't support it like WOW did. Personally WOW bored me too easily. The only complaint I really heard was that it laggs if you don't have a good enough computer like I'm having with now. But from the bits I was playing, it wasn't so bad. Also, EVERY launch starts off badly, so I find it funny how people are complaining about that. Ugh, I remember WOW at launch was like hell. So was SWG. So I'm going to try and give it time. I feel it might have great potential.
  13. My sister use to dip hers in Ketchup. Pretty gross. Every since I was seven I've started hating popcorn.......Ugh...that's the #1 thing I can never eat again. I don't know why but it never really appealed to me. That and brussel sprouts with vinegar. Don't even ask.
  14. Ooooh...Survery..How fun! First of all, I'd like to ask how old are you?:
I'm 19 going on 20.
How would you say you feel about abstinence? :
Excellent. Considering thats what people want to do. However I can't really say I'm abstinent myself...ahem..too late for that one. But I was Abstinence till I got out of highschool, that was important to me.
And how many times have you been in a situation where you had to make a decision to abstain from sexual activity or not?:
Well, considering my boyfriend is a complete an utter horn dog, I have to keep him atleast 2 ft away from me. Okay well maybe 1 ft, but most the time it's just kissing if we're in a crowd. As long as it's not a full out make out session. I know I hate seeing that myself so I tend to tone it down quite a lot.
How many relationships have you been in?:
Serious ones? I'll count two. First one was really awful. The second one I'm in now is with a younger guy so that makes things different. We've been going together for two years almost now.
How often would you say you see public displays of affection?:
Not as much since I left highschool. I'll see PDA when I'm at like the mall or in a store, the occasional kissing, occasionally making out even, or butt squeeze. Meh. Not really a big deal.
When you see these public displays of affection would you say you're offended in any way?:
No, unless it goes beyond it like the girl has her hand down some guy's pants. Thats um, pretty disturbing. Believe it or not, I have seen some guy walk around the store like that. It was pretty disgusting.
Would public displays of affection be alright for you to show?:
Yeah of course. I can't really go beyond a kiss though, I'm pretty uptight about that. This is why my boyfriend gets a kick out of groping me in public O.o; it's one of my pet peeves.
How far would you say is too far for a public display of affection?:
An example would be the question above the last one. Any groping or sexual activity thats in public that you know you shouldn't be doing and could get kicked out of wherever you are from, would definately not be a good idea.
In your opinion have school dances become too sexual?:
Yes I do. But then again, you can't stop it. As long as no one's having sex on the dance floor, why not. That's how they dance at the clubs when their older anyways.
At what age do you think that dating should begin?:
Age 15 or 16 atleast. I wouldn't call that a mature relationship, but they would definately know the things that come along with relationships by then so maybe they would be a little more careful and prepared. Ah young puppy love.

  15. I just had to start this thread. WHY? Simply because I haven't seen anyone mention it in a really long time. I just purchased this MMO last night and have since had trouble with lagg and other things. This could be due to my poor graphics card and lack of ram (which hopefully will be fixed by this friday so I can play). Is anyone else having problems with playing? And also if not, what graphics card are you using? So far I'm loving the customization options even though it took forever using them. Hrmmm... On a further note, to those that have played or are currently playing Vanguard, what are your opinions on it so far? I can't really say because I can't get two steps without lagging. My character is pretty much stumped at this point (Yavela Dubrin/Florendyl Server). I usually go under the name Yavela. How do you compare it to other MMO's that you have played? Do you find it worse/better? What should improve and what do you find most unique about the game? I'm curious. For those of you who have never heard of vanguard you might want to check out their new site here. I'd love to be able to actual play with a few members of OB, seeing as how I know not many people who purchased this MMO yet.
  16. Meh. I knew it was going to be me anyhow XD Sorry I wasn't prepared for this second challenge. But LIFE does sure get in the way sometimes. I'm still keeping the banner and i'll root on the sidelines. On that note, wish you all the best......lols.
  17. It was a pain in the *ss looking through all of those threads, and I only found one. :( It's definately not fair especially since everyone is in different time zones. Hopefully we get a bit more warning next time, and no more races. I hate time constrictions. ;/ BTW, No hard feelings either. I'll still keep the banner however even if I get voted off.
  18.

Omg
  19. Yikes! I guess it was a bad time to snooze lately. I didn't even see the new post. Your right it is unfair, but let's make sure we come in at third and not fourth. I'll update this post as well. ;/ Good luck team.... EDIT: FOUND ONE!! Asylum ----> Here
  20. I have a certain special request for someone, if they could make me a simple banner with the name "YAVELA" on it with this picture. Underneath it would read "Companionship is forever". That's about it except for the name on an avatar. I would love for it to be 80X100 pixels. All I'm really asking for is something different and creative. I would appreciate it SO much! Thank you.
  21.
Though i'm not sure what was meant by a power struggle, i merely stated that if[/i'] I were to be voted i'd do my best, but ultimatley i casted my vote for DW as well.
Err..nope I didn't think there was a power struggle either. Hopefully we can all keep winning these matches, cause it must suck to vote someone out ;/ I know we can do it.
  22.
The shortening of the name sounds good to me. I don't mind. As for the color, it looks like Green is popular so far, so as I said i do not mind whatever the majority choice is. But if it is in the best interest of avoiding common indecisiveness, I say we officially make Green our color, to go along with the unanimous decision that Dragon Warrior is our team captain. Thus knocking 2 decisions out so far. Our name and flag should however involve more intricate deliberation. Though I am still a fan of Sapientes, out of all of DW's proposals though I do enjoy the Laugh Out Louds the best. Hehe. The most important thing to remember about choosing the team name though is that it must describe us in the most appropriate manner in order to meet round 1's requirements. I can honestly say i've never met another person with the same exact life goals as myself. Though i do enjoy acting, writing and directing my own material takes high priority over actually starring in them, as I probably don't have the most ideal look for the screen despite having ample talent. But as I said in my intro thread, I am studying Film and Media in hopes to gain ample experience to turn my dream of being a Writer/Director into a reality, despite still believing at this point that it is the "dream job" in the sense that it's still a bit difficult to see it happening. I've always described this ideal as wanting to "bring my own creations to life" rather then just coming out and saying I want to be a Writer/Director. Yep, one big happy family.
Ahem, I agree with the LOL's. It's definately a suiting team name for me.
  23. Argh...I knew I'd have to do this thread sometime...*cringe* Ah well. Da Goodness:

I'm confident. I certainly don't think I'm bad looking and I have no problem meeting new people, infact I quite enjoy it. I love being the center of attention, and I'm a very caring and friendly person to the people I meet. I'm charismatic, charming, and all around down to earth. I'm also a fairly decent dancer with a not so bad body (I'm not Pamela Anderson but I ain't roseanne) and I get a long great with guys. I can be one of the girls and one of the guys all at the same time. I'm active and pretty decent at poetry and other types of writing. I have a nick for fashion and I can hold a conversation pretty well, which goes with the fact that I like to talk quite a lot. I don't smoke and I don't do drugs. Purely Rotten:

I get irritated really easily and I don't have a lot of patience. I HATE waiting in line or for anything. I can be a real bum sometimes. I can be intimidating to women sometimes with my personality which can make me hard to relate to other women. I can be an attention hog. I love to talk which sometimes can get out of hand if I haven't had any social reaction, sometimes I'm a bit too blunt and outgoing and again this can intimidate others. I scare reserved people. I can be very aggressive. I can be a selfish pain in the rear at times when I don't get my way. I'm never the first one to apologize, unless its a life or death situation. I use to be a starbucks addict. My college resume isn't that impressive and I don't find school to be the most important aspect of my life. I'm a TOTAL closet nerd meaning most of my friends don't even know I play mmorpgs or videogames. Tah dah! That's it.
  24. I hate to admit it, but retribution seems to be on the dot on this one. I've never mistaken a sock for a foot, or grocery bag for a cat before so I guess technically I'm a strange one. Although, that would be kind of fun. Also, children also come to terms with their own names for things and sometimes I know people keep them. My nephew continues to call chickens "Bak-Baks" so everytime we go out to dinner, he orders the "Bak-Bak" which confuses the waitor. That might not be saying much though because his speech isn't the greatest, whenever he says fox it sounds exactly like he's saying the f-word like "Fawks". *shrugs* So your unique? No biggie.
  25. Errrm...mmkay. I'm totally stealing some of BK's style but I don't care cause I don't feel like being creative enough right now cause I simply
