Nope, never played any of those. I've been thinking about playing Tactics Ogre, though. (Samgee has been bugging me enough about it; sheesh, lol).
Originally posted by AzureWolf Wow, very nice. The only thing I would recommend is making the edges of all the pictures smoother so all that white stuff doesn't show. Or, you could manually (and painfully) remove them with an eraser. :)
There's only a tiny bit of white edge; I don't even see how you noticed. I was even looking for it while making it, and I had to zoom in to see all but a little of it. If you're talking about the white around the SMA4 logo, that's supposed to be there, as it's part of the logo. And I did go around it with the paintbrush set to one pixel, blotting out a lot of the white edge and then making it transparent. And like I said, unless you're really looking for it, you have to zoom in to see it, so I don't really worry too much about it. And if anyone wants SMB3 art, you can find some here. That's where I got both the Mario and Bowser pic. The background is from another art picture that James was nice enough to get for me from Nintendo's media site a while ago.

I was bored so I decided to make a banner. And I've been thinking about the next Mario Advance game, SMB3, lately, so I decided to do an SMB3 banner. Just thought I'd post it up for people to see. It's pretty simple, but I find the combination of those two pictures amusing. Edit: Took out some white edge, so that's what the new version is. Can you really tell the difference? It's not really that much. Edit II: On second thought, I think I'll take off the original version. It's just sucking down more bandwidth from my site...

Well, considering that you're the only one that's posted since I asked that question (besides me, with this post), no. :whoops: I'll give it a day or two longer, and if no one can answer, I'll change the question. People around here really need to play the SNES games. Seems like too many on this board haven't played anything in the series earlier than FFVII.

Hmm, I like the first version more, actually. I like the darker shading, and the pics look a little too big in the second version. Also, the text in the first one goes a lot better with the background, and the border looks better when it's kind of shaded like that. Instead of changing the font/size on the first one, though, I'd either just change "and" to "&" or put "Amy" on a new line below "Sonic." That'd take care of the overlap. Personally I'd go with putting "Amy" on a new line, so it'd look less crowded, and because I just think it'd look better without having to use an & symbol.

*does Bill the Cat impression* hoop, he, ha, blah! *jaw and lower body falls to the ground, complete with o_O look* Heh, my favorite is the one with the big...tusks? Looks like he's rolling his eyes and wonder why the heck he's there, lol. And like everyone else, the coloring amazes me.

Answer: The series is called Final Fantasy because, at the time Squaresoft was making the original, they were losing money fast and the game was going to be their last before going out of business. So they named it Final Fantasy, because it would've been their final game if it hadn't been so popular and help put them back in business. Question: In Final Fantasy IV, how/when does Rydia learn the Fire spell?
Originally posted by Princess_Zelda2 Favorite 3D zelda was OOT..it is th coolest..i also like MM as well.
If you're going to post in a thread asking what your favorite whatever is, please at least give a good reason why you like what you do. Otherwise there's not all that much point, and then it's just considered spam and will likely get deleted. Just so you know... ^_^

Yeah, I've also been noticing this again lately. It's getting to be as bad as just before James put up the eight-line limit. (Which I liked, and wish was still in effect). I've PMed one person about an overly long signature already, and I think I'm going to be doing so more often again. The way I see it, though, there may not be a written rule against long signatures, but at the moment, the rules page isn't even up. And besides, I think James would agree a signature taking up a full screen length or more on 1024x768 should be dealt with. That's just insanely long for a signature.

You know, I still get confused about how they switch the Super Mario Advance part of the title to different sides of the rest of the title... First it was just Super Mario Advance, then Super Mario World/Yoshi's Island with the the SMA part on the right, and now it's the SMA part on hte left and the SMB3 part on the right. :cross: Anyway, if you don't know already, Super Mario Advance 4 (if you couldn't tell from the title or above musings) is a remake of Super Mario Bros. 3, which originally appeared on the NES and later as part of Super Mario Bros. All-Stars on the SNES. (And, as with all the other SMA games, it includes the original Mario Bros.). It comes out on October 21, in the US. So, anyone out there planning on getting this game? I'd like to, since I never did get to play all the way through the original SMB3, but there are completely new games that I want to get first. And while the idea of new levels and stuff like that is appealing, it annoys me that you have to use an e-Reader and e-cards to get them. And not only that, but you have to have two GBAs and a link cable; one for the game cartridge, and the other for the e-Reader. Now, I have the two GBAs and a link cable, but I'd have to borrow my friend's e-Reader (I don't plan on buying one, since I just wouldn't use it enough), and I'd have to buy the cards. Just not worth it in my opinion.

Um...why did you start a thread if you didn't have anthing to discuss? Starting a thread just to say "Talk about this here," is kind of pointless. If someone else wants to talk about a game, they can make their own thread, where they actually have something to say about the game. Though I guess since this is here now, we might as well use it, since it'd be annoying to have to close this only to have another thread about FFTA start... Anyway, I'm going to try and get this game some time. Not sure if I'm going to get this or Sword of Mana first, so it may be sooner or it may be later. I've never played the original Tactics on the PSX, but I like the sound of Tactics Advance, from reading about it in Nintendo Power and EGM. I think it'll be fun to be able to control such a large group of characters all at once, with all sorts of different job classes for them. In some other RPGs I've played (Chrono Cross and FFVI to name a couple), you get lots of characters, but you can only use three or four at a time. And if you switch around too much, your party isn't strong enough since you've been spreading out the experience too much, or it's just a pain to switch out characters. So I'm really looking forward to that aspect of the game, but the whole battle system also looks fun. It's not just the "stand in a line and trade hits" set-up like the other FF games. Looks like it'll add another level of complexity, being able to actually stand back and toss spells at a monster while out of its attack range instead of just being in the back row, while actually having to be up close for fighter-type characters to be able to attack. The more I hear about this game, the more I want it, heh. Can't wait till I can get it.

You know, I'd heard that there were double tech sorts of things in CC, but I haven't gotten any yet--at least not that I know of. And I just turned
Lynx back into Serge
, so I figure I'm pretty far in the game. How do you get them? And it annoys me how there are so few good characters that are innately red. I liked my team of Serge, Kid, and Razzly, with white, red, and green. Now I'm using Norris, who's yellow, instead of Kid, but I want another good red character.

In FFIV, it's Zemus/Zeromus. Zeromus is Zemus' hatred manifested as a living being, and it's what you actually fight as the end boss. And I'm not sure, but I think the end boss of FFI is Chaos. Don't really know the story, but I think I've heard that somewhere. As for my favorite end boss, that'd be Kefka from FFVI. Might've been Zemus/Zeromus, but you never actually get to see his personality or anything. Kefka, however, I find both the most amusing and the most evil. I mean, he's this cruel madman that actually succeeds in taking over the world, not to mention changing around the landscape of the entire planet and releasing hordes of nasty monsters in the process. He stops at nothing to attain his goals, no matter it involves. (I'd give some examples, but I don't want to spoil anything). And for the amusing part, you really just have to see it for yourself. He made me laugh more than a few times over the course of the game.

Nope, it's not A Link to the Past. While LTP has eleven dungeons, only eight of them are numbered. (And only then in the GBA remake). The light world dungeons don't have numbers, only the Dark World ones. Try again.

How 'bout a Mario Bros. catagory? I've still got that Shine Sprite pic, but I can't put it up. It's the best art I've ever done, and it'd be kinda nice to have something up besides that crappy Poké Balls pic, heh.

Very catchy song, heh.
Originally posted by DragonGirl Yeah ash's dad is never seen or talked about, and why does Brock's dad sell rocks?
That's probably because he's never mentioned in the games, and they're too lazy to make up an explenation of their own. As for Brock's dad, it was kind of explained in the episode. He left, so he had to find something else to do to make a living. He probably just figured out that tourists will buy all kinds of crappy souvenirs. :p But anyway, this thread is getting kind of off topic and also drifting towards being spam. So... Nope, it's not a Behemoth. There are multiple Behemoths in the game, but the answer is a one-of-a-kind boss. (Behemoths actually become "normal" enemies once you get far enough down into the moon). Try again. ^_^

I doubt they planned for it. They probably just used the same overworld graphics, changed the position of the lumberjacks sprite, and put some text on a foreground layer. So if the tree hadn't changed on the overworld, it wouldn't change in the ending, either. I can't imagine they recreate bits of the overworld just for the ending sequence. That'd just take up more space.

Well, it depends on which Link you're talking about. For most of them, it's pretty clear from the art that they have about shoulder-length hair or maybe a little shorter (unless his hair extends way down into his hat), but the Link from TWW has shorter hair than that. So, um, yeah...I don't really see much point to this thread. Either it is about shoulder-length, or it does go down into his hat. If it does, though, we can only guess, and a thread full of random guesses isn't very interesting. Thread Closed

Well, there's a few different possibilities. First is either the sword or the Lamp. Or you can get the Lamp after you get the Boomerang. Or you could skip the Boomerang and get the Ice Rod, Bombs, or Bow & Arrow as the third one. So yeah, there isn't a set first three... (And I could explain how/where you get each of those, but I really don't feel like typing all that out). If you get them in the order you find them, though, without skipping any, it's the Lamp, Fighter's Sword, then Boomerang. You get the Lamp from the treasure chest in Link's house, the Fighter's Sword from your uncle down in the secret passage into Hyrule Castle, and the Boomerang on B1 of Hyrule Castle. Question: Which Zelda game has the most numbered dungeons, and how many does it have? (As in, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and so on).

Cecil leaned back in his chair, his eyes seeming to focus on nothing in particular as he replayed the memories of various challenged in his head. "I think," Cecil finally said as he leaned forward again. "That the last eviction was where I expected to drop out. Unless, like Auron, you count this eviction." He glanced at the current votes for each of them, and sighed. "I guess most people would be more familiar with Auron. Even if he is old--" he shot a wink at Auron "--his adventure was a lot more recent." Everyone glanced over at Auron for a second, and he just shrugged. It wasn't like he could do anything about that fact. "To tell the truth, though, I really wasn't expecting to make it this far in the first place. While it'd be nice to win, I'll be perfectly happy with second place." Finished with his answer, Cecil leaned back into the chair even farther this time. It was nice to be able to relax after the many struggles of the game, knowing it was over except for, in his opinion, the minor detail of who would win.

Um...what exactly do you want cleared up? Personally, I'd say it's just a coincidence. Except possibly for Squall and Rinoa. Don't they have a thing going on in FFVIII? I've never really played it. -
First off, pretty much this entire thread is spam. Cloud is a fictional character, lol. Threads soley devoted to telling an actual person happy birthday are considered spam, let alone one for someone that's not even real. :cross: Second, there's already a thread about FFVII-2 here. Third, we're only allowed one image in our signatures, Haruko_Kagome. Please remove one. Thread Closed

Strike three. Sorry, Meteora, but if left open this thread is just going to attract more and more spam. It's not your fault, though; every favorite thread I've seen in this forum seems to end up this way sooner or later. Thread Closed
