Hmm, lets see.... Makar and Hollo stay at Forest Haven, and then there's one for each wilted tree. And there's eight wilted trees, so that's... Answer: ...ten Koroks in TWW. Question: In Oracle of Seasons, how do you get the Subrosia Smithy to do anything for you?

Heh, I reserved a copy at GameStop a few days ago. Can't wait for this game to come out. I just know I'm going to have to have a party with my friends and stay up all night playing versus races. Anyway, a little while ago, I heard that the US version of F-Zero AX (the arcade version) wouldn't feature the connectivity between AX and GX using GCN memory cards. I forget where I heard this (I think it was either EGM or GameSpot), but I was wondering if anyone else has any other info about it. Of course, it probably won't matter to me anyway, since I really doubt anywhere in town is going to get an F-Zero AX machine anytime soon. The biggest arcade we've got is at the bowling alley, and it doesn't have very many games in it. >_

Well, I've heard that the next game is going to be a sequal to TWW and use the same graphics and character models and stuff, much as MM was to OOT. But on the game after that, who knows.... Personally, I'd like them to keep the cel shaded graphics, but change the style of the characters. (Sort of a cross between the completely cartoony look and the more realistic look). I think it would be absolutely wonderful if they could do a cel shaded Link and make him look similar to the art for A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. So more realistic that the style of TWW, but still cartoony. Maybe that would stop people whining about it looking "kiddie," also. As for what will actually happen with the graphics, who can tell? I kind of doubt even Nintendo has plans for a game beyond the TWW sequal at this point, though who knows. As for what will happen to the Zelda series, I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. Like James said, it's still one of the best-selling and most respected series, even after 15 years. (In the US, the original LOZ was actually released in this same month in 1987). So it's hard to say when, if ever, Nintendo will stop making Zelda games. Personally, I hope they'll keep making them as long as they can keep them as new and fresh as the series has been so far. There's always been some sort of twist in each one that makes you feel like you're playing almost a whole new game, yet at the same time makes it feel familiar and comfortable, and I love that.
Originally posted by gamemasterkev00 The 1/2 magic powerup is better because it takes less to restore it, yet allows you to use twice the magic.
Finally! Woo! *shoots off bottle rockets* :toothy: You can go ahead and ask a question of your own. Those other two don't count, since JJRiddler didn't get mine right when he asked his.
Originally posted by JJRiddler Not taking any powerup's is the best beacuse it takes alot more potions and bottles in the field to restore it.
... Okay, to me, that makes absolutely no sense. Having to use more potions is a bad thing, not a good thing. And again, one is better than the other; they're not the same, and it is better to take that one. Yeesh, fine, I'll make it easier. I'll tell you right now that the 1/2 Magic upgrade is better than a double-long magic meter. Just figure out why.

"THIS IS COMPLETELY UNFAIR!" Zell screamed at Auron and Cecil, each riding on their own Chocobo. "I WON'T FORGET THIS!" Zell had gotten his wish; he wasn't sharing a Chocobo. However, he didn't have a Chocobo of his own, either. Instead, Auron and Cecil had tied him to the back of Cecil's Chocobo, his arms and legs bound together to avoid any flailing about, and were now dragging him along.... One foot above the ground, that is. Auron chuckled. "I have to admit, you are rather resourceful with that Float spell." "It's too bad I don't know Mute, though," Cecil said with a grin. "Yes, that would complete the arrangement." "YOU TWO ARE HORRIBLE!" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Later, when the group finally reached the temple, another problem arose. "So who's going to untie him?" Cecil asked. "I'm not going do it; you might as well ask me to uncage a Tonberry," Auron said with a glance at Zell's rather angry expression. "It was your idea." "Not entirely. You were as much a part of it as I was." Then a familiar voice called from the entrace to the temple. "Hey guys!" As Zidane approached, Cecil and Auron looked at each other with a grin. Hey Zidane.... ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "Well this is a fine mess," Auron groaned. "This wasn't exactly what I had in mind," Cecil said while scratching the back of his head and grinning nervously. "That's good to know," Zidane said sullenly from his tied position on the ground next to Zell. The Float spell had long since worn off. "You see what I've had to deal with?" Zell looked just as angry, if not more so, than at the start of the trip. "So...um..." Cecil was starting to look a little worried--they really did need to go check on the Fayth soon. "Got any ideas this time, Auron?"

The amount of magic that can be held in the meter has nothing to do with it. What I'm saying is, take a magic meter--it could be the one from LTP, could be the one from OOT, could be the one from TWW--it doesn't matter which. And then take that one magic meter, and figure out whether it's better to keep the meter the same length and have magical items take half the amount of magic, or whether it's better to make the meter hold twice as much magic power. The question has nothing to do with comparing the magic meters between games, I was just telling which games the two different upgrades come from. So no, that's wrong. As I said before, there is a definite reason why one is better than the other. I really didn't expect this to be all that hard, though. My brother figured this out right away, as I was typing up the question. I guess I'll give a hint. Hint: The answer has to do with restoring magic power as well as using it.
Originally posted by HammerBlade So is this guy doing this ALONE, or is he working on this with a team?
Well, if you'd read Turkey's first post, you would've seen this: "Right now, he's got a small team, which is concentrating on Ocarina of Time." Or if you'd looked on the site that he linked to, under the "Credits" page. :whoops: But yeah, I do really doubt that they'll ever get all three games done, but I'm really hoping they'll get OOT done. Or at least a good start, and just release what they do get done.

"I've tried everything. Peep, Sight, nothing works." Cecil looked between the two Fayths, trying to find any difference between them that might give a clue as to which was real. "A stalemate," Sephiroth remarked. Zell looked smug. "No great plan from you, eh?" "Zell," Auron said in a calm and deliberate voice. "This is neither the time, nor the place." "Will you hurry up and do something already?" "We can't wait here forever!" The group stood staring at the two figures floating before them. The one was right; they couldn't stay here forever, and they would have to do something eventually. "I'm going to need a vacation after this to recover!" Zell wailed, and was about to open the pouch when Cecil spoke up. "Re...cover! That's it!" The others just looked at him blankly, wondering what he meant. "Auron..." "Yes?" "...I want you to take a swing at both of them together." "What?!" "Just trust me; I have a plan." "You can't be serious," Auron said incredulously, blinking at the Paladin in disbelief with his good eye. "I am," Cecil said with a nod. "No harm will come to the Fayth, I can assure you of that." "Tell me what this plan of yours is first. I cannot risk the safety of the Fayth." "Oh, for crying out loud," Sephiroth sighed. "I'll do it myself." And so he swung the long blade of the Masamune in a wide arc that would cover both floating figures. Before it could reach them, however, a cry of pain ripped through the air. "AAAGGHH!!!" Cecil yelled as the blade sliced into his arm, blocking its path to the Fayth. The Fayth that he was now standing in front of, protecting it with his body. "What the hell are you doing?!" Zell yelled at him, eyes wide as Sephiroth quickly withdrew the blade. "This is the real one," Cecil said from between gritted teeth. "The other is the fake!" The group looked between Cecil and what was apparently the fake Fayth, as Cecil cast Cure2 to heal his arm. Again, Sephiroth was the first to act, swinging the Masamune once again, but this time only at one of the floating figures. Ganger quickly sunk down into the stones of the temple, but not before the Masamune sliced into it, leaving the room echoing with Ganger's shrill scream. "Are you mad?" Auron almost yelled at Cecil. "How could you be sure?" Still gritting his teeth as he watched the cut close, Cecil said, "Cover, one of my innate Paladin abilities. It causes me to protect allies from attack by taking the attack myself. Ganger is not an ally, so Cover would only work for the real Fayth." "Quite an unorthodox method," Sephiroth said cooly as he cleaned the Masamune's blade. "And I thank you for it," the Fayth said. Cecil bowed to the Fayth, and then gave it a quick salute with his sword. "This 'game' is really making me think on my toes. Glad to be of service." "Hmph," said Auron, as he bowed himself. "Some explanation beforehand would have been appreciated, though." "If he'd explained it beforehand," Sephiroth broke in, "he would have alerted Ganger and spoiled the whole plan." "Exactly," Cecil agreed. He had always seemed to get along with Sephiroth, and now he realized why; great minds think alike.
Originally posted by AzureWolf o_O Huh? What made it so scary? Or were you just anxious? OOT was mad-easy the whole way through. What made you think that it would suddenly jump in difficulty? Haha, but it's cool that you can get into a game so much. Still, why were you nervous? Because you were going to end a game that gave you so much enjoyment? :)
Well, I was only 11 years old at the time, so it seemed harder than it did when playing Master Quest on the bonus disc just this year. It wasn't scary, but I was nervous about it being the last battle of the game, and I did also expect it to be harder than previous boss fights. That, and it was also the first game I ever beat, besides Super Mario World and a couple racing games. So it was quite an exhilerating experience, being the first adventure/RPG game where I actually even made it all the way to the end boss. I was also totally in awe of OOT throughout the whole game, so I couldn't even imagine what the end boss would be like. That's about the best I can describe it; it's hard to explain. It wasn't so much the difficulty of the game, but more just the fact that it was actually the end boss. Like I said, besides Bowser in SMW, it was my first real end boss fight.

Yep, it's Antidote. She starts out with Fire and Cure, but the first one she actually learns in the game is Antidote. Same with Celes, though she starts out with Ice instead of Fire. Go for it. :)
Originally posted by GinnyLyn My thoughts speak that the 1/2 Magic is better, and with reason. Because certain times (such as a Medallion) are cast with a certain portion of the green meter, reducing the cost is much more effective than providing extra magic. Example: Let us say the Meter is 1o units (it's not, just bear with me), and using the Quake Medallion costs you 5 units. This allows you to use Quake twice under normal circumstances. With an extended Magic Meter (2o vs. 1o), you could use Quake 4 times. However, reducing the cost by half (in this case, 5 into 2.5) allows you to use Quake four times without an extended magic meter. With it gives you eight Quakes. See the wonderful difference?
Um, no, you'd still only be able to use Quake four times with the 1/2 Magic upgrade. The 1/2 Magic upgrade is instead of the double-long magic meter, not in addition to it. Your magic meter stays the same length with the 1/2 Magic upgrade, magical items just use half the amount of magic power. You never get an extended magic meter in A Link to the Past; it's the same length from beginning to end. So my question still stands. ^_^ And by the way, it is Roc's Feather, for Ginny's question. She was asking what items with wings are obtained using the item, not what item has wings. And in Link's Awakening, there are items (such as bags of Magic Powder) with wings, that float above the ground. To get these items, you need the Roc's Feather to be able to jump up to them.

OOC: Sorry it's so short again, but I'm needing to go to bed soon. I think we should try and speed the temple visits up, though, to keep this thing from dying. We're so close to the end.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Macalania Temple, to see Zack and Cloud, then?" Cecil sat down in the Ragnarok's pilot seat and prepared the Ragnarok for takeoff. "Yes. And no fancy flying this time," Auron said with a glare. Cecil chuckled. "Fine, fine. We'll glide softly as a cloud." "All the same, I'm definitely going to be strapped in this time," Zell said as he secured the harness. "Probably a good idea," Auron agreed as he secured his own harness. Cecil rolled his eyes and then laughed. "You make it sound like I'm Zidane or something." And with that, Cecil lifted the ship into the air shot off into the sky, all as smooth as promised. "The calm before the storm," Auron grumbled as they glided along. "Don't tempt me," Cecil said in a mock-threatening tone. "Okay, mister insane pilot, we give in," Zell chortled. As it turned out, the trip was rather uneventful, and Cecil set the ship down near Macalania Temple as soft as could be. The group walked into the temple and greeted Zack and Cloud, with no signs of Ganger to be seen. "We haven't seen anything unusual," Zack said. "It must be on its way, if it is coming to this temple next." "This time, we'll be ready for it, then," Cecil said in a confident voice. He still owed Ganger for that little petrify trick during the last fight, and he wasn't about to let it get the last laugh. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Okay, so this post is on the day after tomorrow, but I started it on tomorrow, it just spilled over into today, which is what I mean when I say the day after tomorrow, since when me and Ginny first talked, "the day after tomorrow" would have been today, which is it now, and I said I would post either today or tomorrow, and since I started the post on tomorrow, that means I pretty much kept my promise. *faints from lack of oxygen*
Originally posted by the spiegal Answer : They are the same
Actually, no, they aren't the same. The 1/2 Magic upgrade makes magical items use half as much magic power. The double-long Magic Meter lets you hold twice as much magic power. So they aren't the same, and there is a good reason why one is better than the other.

Um, do I need to know a lot about FF Tactics specifically? I'm totally winging it for my character's back story. :cross: Anyway, the PM with my example role play shall be sent shortly. Name: Arik Farrel Age: 29 Origin: The Mages' Sactum Allegiance: Ramza Battalion Rank: White Mage Captain Job Class: Priest (Physically weak and lacking in defense, Priests make up for these weaknesses with their powerful healing magic. Though weak by themselves, Priests are extremely valuable allies, allowing others to fight on far after they normally could, as a result of their white magic). Weapon: Oak Quarter Staff Bio: When Arik was still a young child, only two or three years old and just learning to walk, his family's small home near the Mages' Sactum was attacked by a band of thieves. After taking what they wanted, the thieves left the house a burnt and smoldering wreck, leaving Arik's parents outside to die as their son watched. Trapped under the debris, tears running down his torn, bloody, and burnt face, Arik could do nothing but watch as his parents died before his eyes. Saved when a group of mages came upon the burnt house, Arik was taken to live at the Mages' Sactum, and was put into early white magic classes when he later showed an affinity towards the art of healing. Years went by, and Arik retained very few memories of that dreadful day, only glimpses here and there, and the other mages were loath to tell him of his past. At the age of 19, Arik was given his signature violet-hemmed robe in honor of his completion of the advanced white magic classes, and because of his love of violets. (One of his few memories from living with his parents was the image of a vase of violets sitting on the mantel above the fireplace). During his small graduation party, his teacher informed him that it was time for him to leave the Sactum. "It is time you saw the world for yourself, and gained the wisdom that comes from experience." Shortly after, Arik set out from the great cathedral of the Mages' Sactum to travel the world. Years passed, and Arik's skill with white magic grew, maturing him into a powerful white mage. In the past year, he stumbled upon the remains of a small battlefield, a few bodies laying about and the smell of death in the air. One man was left alive, no doubt mistaken for dead, as he was unconscious and just barely living. Quickly casting Cure3, Arik was able to save the man, who told him of the Ramza Battalion whom he was part of. Interested in this small rebel group, Arik journeyed with the man back to the Ramza Battalion HQ, becoming more and more convinced that this was where he was meant to be as he listened to the man's tales of service with the Battalion. Upon arriving, Arik joined them, serving as a healer for the wounded, and has remained with them ever since. Appearance: Arik wears the traditional white robes of a priest, but there is one very noticable difference. That is, instead of the pattern on the hem being red, it's a deep violet. This matches well with his deep green eyes and long, dark brown hair which he usually wears in a loose ponytail. As proportions go, Arik isn't really anything special, at 5'10" and in fairly good shape with a normal build. For facial features, Arik is fair-skinned and would normally be considered quite handsome, if not for a number of scars and blemishes across his face from the attack on his home when he was still a young child. This, added to the seemlingly ever-present black stubble on his chin gives him a bit of a gruff look, though in reality he's one of the gentlest people in the world.

Please, don't make me choose a favorite. I think it would kill me. There are just way too many good ones out there.... Super Metroid and Metroid Prime are definitely two of my favorites, along with the music from Zelda games (duh). The music in these games always fits the mood and area that you're in, and is also just a blast to listen to by itself. As soon as I can free up some hard drive space, I'm going to be searching for these two soundtracks. I've never really thought about the music from the Mario games. It fits the games really well, but on its own I think I'd rather listen to other stuff, for the most part. There are a few tracks from each game that I really like, though. Like the underground theme from SMW and the Delfino Plaza theme from SMS. Something that I think is worth noting, too, is the music in the Pokémon games. Some of the songs are extremely catchy, especially the battle themes. I think it would be really cool if Nintendo did a remix CD, with remixed music from R/B/Y and G/S/C. And then, of course, there's Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Those two pretty much go without saying, heh. They take the main themes from a bunch of great games, remix them, and shove them all together into one game. Who could ask for more? I have every track from SSBM, straight out of the Sound Test, on my PC in mp3 format and they're absolutely awesome to listen to. (Actually, I think I'm going to listen to some of the songs right now, heh). The Smashing Live orchestral CD is also awesome. When I first got it, I listened to it at least once a day for about two weeks straight. About the only thing that can beat SSBM's soundtrack is an orchestral version of SSBM's soundtrack, heh. I just wish they had made it two CDs and given some of the songs in the Great Medley their own tracks. The SMB and SMB2 themes would've gone good together in their own track, as would the Big Blue and Mach Rider themes. (My two favorites on the CD).

The Koopalings also appear in Super Mario Bros. 3, and soon to be the GBA remake of it also. Question: What is the third suit in Super Mario Bros. 3? (Yes, there is another, in addition to the Frog and Tanooki Suits).

Dangit, this is another reason why I hate these long stretches of questions from just one game. People ask so many that they start running out of things to ask, and so you get these really, really, really obscure questions that take days for an answer to be posted. Variety is good, people! Anyway, I'm going to cut in with another question, seeing as the current one doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Question: In Final Fantasy VI, what is the first magic spell Terra learns on her own? (Meaning not from Magicite).

Lol...do Subrosians have hair? To tell the truth, I have no idea; it never shows one without its hood up. So they could, and we just don't know it. As for where to get the bananas, you get them from a banana tree a few ledges higher up from where you find Moosh. You need the Power of Spring to be able to cut through the stone flowers on the screen where you find Moosh, and from there you can get to a Blue Cucco. Pick up the Blue Cucco with the Power Bracelet and tap the A button repeatedly in order to have it fly you up to the nearby ledge. Then just go through a couple caves until you reach the ledge with the banana tree on it, cut some bananas down with your sword, and voila, you've got access to Moosh.

Well, either you didn't save it the last time you played, or there was some sort of error when you tried to save it. Those are the only two things that I can think of that would result in it not being saved. Before you do a whole bunch of stuff again, I'd try just doing one thing, saving it, and then resetting to see if it does it again. Hopefully it was just a one-time glitch.
