Um, no.... The song is from the original Legend of Zelda. Saria's Song is from Ocarina of Time. (And for the question, I mean besides the overworld and fairy themes, which are in almost every game, by the way).

Gaming Is anybody still addicted to Animal Crossing?

When I first got AC, I played it for about three months straight, playing every day. Then I just stopped for about two months, until I started playing again, every day. That lasted for about a month, month and a half, until I borrowed Star Fox Adventures from a friend. Now I'm playing that instead. After I'm done with SFA, I'll probably start playing it again, if I don't have anything else. So yeah, I'd say I've gotten my money's worth out of it, even if I were to never play it again. Not many games can keep me playing every day for three months. In fact, the only other two that I know of are Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee. So yes, I think AC is definitely worth buying. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. -

Sorry, but seeing as ROMs are illegal and it's against the rules to post links to sites with them, and any site that has the patch that you need (if there is one) would almost definitely have the ROMs themselves, this thread won't do much good. Sorry. Thread Closed
Originally posted by Chou Long Kai Also,it would be nice if he could us spears more...I loved them in WW.
Hey, I just got a cool idea from that. You know how the Master Sword is always the second or third sword that you get, and before that you have a weaker sword? Well, why not make it so that the Master Sword is the first sword that you get, and before you get it you have to use other types of weapons? They could start you out unarmed, and have the first dungeon or mini-dungeon a stealth sort of thing like they did with Forsaken Fortress in TWW. You could take weapons off of enemies, but instead of having to drop them when you leave the room, let you keep them for use anytime that you want. Just have them assigned to what's normally the sword button, and let you cycle through them with a button or equip them in the start menu or something. There could be a separate equipment subscreen like in OOT, with all your different weapons and tunics and what-have-you, in addition to the one for your secondary items. I think that would be awesome, being able to use a wide variety of weapons as your main attack, in addition to the secondary items. It would add a lot more variety to the combat, and also make the combat more rewarding. They could have the secondary items in the Big Chests in the dungeons (the items that're required to progress in the game), and have the weapons carried by enemies, making you defeat the enemies and take their weapons in order to get new ones.

Well, looking for the Ghost Ship without the right equipment is useless, since you can't get into it otherwise. Before you look for the Ghost Ship, you need to go to Diamond Steppe Island, which is one square northwest of Outset Island. Inside a cave on the island, you'll find the Ghost Ship Chart, which will both help you find the Ghost Ship and allow you to enter it. (Just sail into it when you see it). Hope that helps. If you need more help, just ask. :)

Correct! Your turn to ask a question. ^_^

Most memorable gaming moment? Ah, geeze, that's a hard one. Let me think for a bit.... Hmm, I think my most memorable moment is when I first beat Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I'll never forget the fight with Ganondorf and Ganon. My palms were sweaty and I was shaking all over by the time I beat Ganon. (Heck, my hands were shaking before I even went into the fight, I was so nervous, lol). Then when he finally went down, I just collapsed back into the chair and watched the ending in wonder and relief.
Originally posted by lance I didn't actually mean an exact copy of the fight in OOT; that would not have been original, and originality is something Nintendo have alwats tried to include when making Zelda games. But I still think it would have been cool to have him as one of the boss incarnations, in all his cel-shaded glory. They could have change the way you have to beat him or soething like that...
Yeah, I know you didn't mean an exact copy of the fight in OOT. And a fight with Ganon in pig form would have been cool. I'm just saying that I think the fight with Ganon in human form was cool too.
-
Well, this isn't really a peripheral so much, but on the next Game Boy system it'd be cool if it had a built-in link cable. Not sure how exactly to do it, but it'd be nice. I hate having to pack a link cable with my GBASP when me and a friend are going somewhere together and want to play Zelda: Four Swords. It gets a little tight in my pocket with my GBASP and a link cable.
Originally posted by ShadowLord Were just discussing possiblities for the game is all
For the first few posts, yes. but for the two right before mine, all that was in them was talk about TWW. "The cel shading was all right I guess, but the game would've looked cooler if they had made it look like they did in OoT. Over all, the game was too short. The only thing that made it seem longer was the 2nd quest and having to ride around in KoRL to get anywhere." "Yeah. Wind Waker was too short. Overrall, a decent game though. The plot was twisting, and that I did like. But not enough "bosses" to compete and battle with. And the ones you did fight, they weren't difficult or intimidating." I dunno about you, but I don't see any discussion about a new game in there. So that's what I was talking about when I posted the bit about staying on topic.
Originally posted by lance *Waves hands frantically at the people around here...* HELL-OOOOO!!! Anybody awake? Good. All I have to say is this: There was no Ganon! Y'know, the big evil pig dude? Whatever the rest of the game is like, this lets it down big time...
Yeah, you didn't get to fight Ganon in his pig form, but I didn't find it all that disappointing. I mean, we've already gotten to fight pig-Ganon in 3D in Ocarina of Time, but The Wind Waker is the first time we've gotten to really fight Ganon in his human form. (I don't really count batting fireballs back and forth and then chopping him a few times, like you do in OOT, as really fighting him). I thought it was fun to actually be able to swordfight with Ganon in his human form. I do wish they had made some changes to the Ganon fight in TWW, though.
Specifically, I would've liked it if they did Zelda's part in the fight differently. That is, make it so you have to just fight him alone with the Master Sword for the first half of the fight. Then for the second half, make it so you have to land enough hits with the Master Sword to stun him, and then have Zelda shoot him with a Light Arrow, which would actually hurt him. And then for the finishing blow, have Link do his little jump-and-stab-to-the-head move at the same time as Zelda hits him with a Light Arrow, heh.
I think doing it that way would have been more fun, since it'd be more of a sword duel. And it'd also be closer to the Ganon fights in the earlier games, where the Master Sword just stuns him and Silver Arrows are what actually hurt him.

Which version are you playing? If you're playing G/S/C, Speed Balls would probably work the best. And putting it to sleep or paralyzing it also helps, in addition to weakening it. Catching any Pokémon involves luck, though, so just be patient.

Heheheh.... I asked that way back on the first page of this quiz and stumped everybody. ^_^ Answer: It's because Nintendo only used one byte of space for storing the number Rupees you're carrying. And since you can only have 256 different values with one byte of space, that means you can only have a maximum of 255 Rupees. (Zero counts as one of the values, so add one more to 255 to include the zero, and you get 256). Question: In Four Swords, how can you make another player's screen go black except for Link? (As in, only show the sprite for Link, and none of the surroundings).

Way back, before the SNES was released, two of my brothers each had a NES. So when the SNES was released, our parents got all of us a SNES, which was bundled with Super Mario World and a second controller, for Christmas. I didn't play it for a few years, since I was only about five when we got it and I enjoyed just watching. A friend of my youngest brother (who's older than me, though, since I'm the youngest) lived across the street, and he owned a Sega Genesis. Out of the two, they both considered the SNES to be the better system, and his friend ended up getting a SNES of his own after a while. So, I basically spent my early gaming years playing the SNES (and my brother's NES a bit also), and only played the Genesis a few times. Nintendo was pretty much all I knew, and I didn't even know that the Master System existed until well after the N64 was released. (Yes, I also refered to playing videogames as "playing Nintendo," heh). The release of the N64 marks when I really started to get into gaming. (Well, not its release, I suppose, but when I got one somewhere about a year or so after its release). I was rather biased against the PlayStation, seeing as Nintendo had always been considered better than Sega by me, my brother, and his friend, so we were skeptical about Sony's system. I happily played my N64 for quite a while...then my brother's friend got a PlayStation with Final Fantasy VII to go with his N64. (He got an N64 when it first came out, but I never played it that much. I was still busy with our SNES games, and wasn't quite ready to venture into the complicated world of 3D games). I didn't play FFVII for a long time (my brother beat it twice before I ever even played it), since I didn't really like RPGs back then. (Yes, I know, seems almost unthinkable now; I was mainly into platformers and racing games back then). I finally decided to give it a try a while after my second oldest brother got a PSX and FFVII, though, and I ended up liking it a lot. I played through the whole thing, though I did go rather slow and leveled up a lot, but I did finally manage to beat both the Emerald and Ruby WEAPONs. (Sephiroth was a joke after fighting those two). That was when I really started "warming up" to the PSX and other systems, so to speak. Later when my brother moved away, he gave me his PSX and FFVII, so that's where I got my PSX. I haven't bought many other games for it, since I'm usually saving up for Nintendo games. (Yes, I still prefer Nintendo, but now it's because of their awesome first party games instead of a blind faith, heh). That's the same reason I don't have a PS2 (yet), also; too many games on the GCN and GBA that I want to get before I get another system. So yeah, I grew up playing Nintendo and I still prefer Nintendo more than other systems because of Nintendo's games, but I'd still love to get my hands on a PS2. ^_^

Heh, I take it you're stuck on the second basement and can't figure out how to get back up to the little section of the first basement where Arrghus (the boss) is, right? Well, the door that leads to the room with the staircase is hidden. In the room on the second basement with all the fountain head things on the northern wall, you'll see a doorway in place of where the second-from-the-left fountain should be. Well, there's also a doorway where the second-from-the-right fountain should be--it's just that the fountain is there, and the water flowing out of it covers the doorway. You can simply walk through the stream of water and into the next room.

BOOYAH! Idea! Cling, cling, cling! (Sorry, had to throw that in there). ^_^ I can make this work! *starts writing* Will edit in post when done. Edit: I'd make it longer, but I have to go to church, like, right now. Anyway, the idea is there, feel free to take it where you will. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Wait, wait, wait," Cecil groaned as he struggled to stand up from under Freya. "Ixion should have been healed by that lightning?" "Yes," Auron groaned beside him. "I think our friend here is putting the 'ganger' in 'doppelganger.' " "What?" Zell asked, a blank look on his face. "More big words," Auron said as the group finally untangled themselves and stood up. "He's saying that this Ixion is a fake." "But if this is a fake, how do they plan on getting the real Ixion?" Cecil looked grim. "Did you forget our little fiasco at Kilika Temple? There are six of these things." "The question is," Freya growled, "how do we tell what's real and what isn't?" "I can take care of that," Cecil said. "Peep!" Zell looked skeptical. "You're going to peep at the thing?" "It's not what it sounds like," Cecil said with a glare. "You'll be more familiar with the spell as 'Sense.' This thing is a fake, however. That means the other must still be inside the temple trying to get at the real Ixion."

Nintendo slipping in a little easter egg, that's how. The story for the game itself says that Termina is an alternate world. This is a direct quote out of the Majora's Mask instruction booklet, at the start of the "Welcome to Termina" section: "This is a kind of parallel world that is similar to and yet different from the land of Hyrule, which was the setting for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." That right there tells us that Termina is not Hyrule, and that it's an alternate world.

Pretty good. I think the background goes okay with the pic, but the text is really hard to read. And it looks like there's a T in place of the I. o_0

The first one is the best, I think. The text on #2 and #4 is too hard to read, and they also seem too cluttered. #3 is too dull and colorless.

The answer to Ginny's question is the Power Bracelet and the Boomerang. You throw the Boomerang and then pick up the blue Cucco while it's following you around. This makes you float above enemies while the Boomerang flies around under you, since you can't catch it. So, you attack while floating. (In my earlier question, this was the one I didn't include since it used more than just the two items). The Pegasus Boots make you run, not float, and the flippers aren't assigned to a button. You just use them automatically in the water, and both buttons are used for swimming and diving. Question: In Link's Awakening, what is the name of the area north of the graveyard, that has all the dead trees with Crows on them?
