Lol, you're trying to link the overworlds together? I'm sorry, but that doesn't work between any of the games. The overworld is always different in each game. They do that to keep the games interesting, so that you're not exploring the same thing over and over again. It has nothing to do with the story. Sure, some of the islands in TWW resemble areas from OOT, but that doesn't mean that they have to be in the same places. Just look at the difference between The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, and The Adventure of Link. All differently arranged, but still the same Hyrule. And actually, the Link in TWW isn't related to the Link in OOT. It says so in TWW, when the King of Red Lions tells Jabun that Link is of no relation to the old Hero. As for the stuff about TWW being the last in the timeline, I don't think that would work. It says in TWW that Ganon attacked after Link (from OOT) left, and the Three Goddesses sealed Hyrule away beneath the Great Sea. There wouldn't have been time for the other games to take place in between OOT and TWW, I don't think. In A Link to the Past it tells about the imprisoning of Ganon in the Dark World (ie the Sacred Realm), and that it was long, long ago. From the story in TWW, it sounds like it wasn't that long after Link left that Ganon broke out of the Sacred Realm and Hyrule was sealed beneath the sea. For the part about the Oracle games, I don't remember anything about Link being called back to Hyrule. *reads instruction booklet stories* ... Eh, the closest thing to what you're saying is this, out of the Seasons instruction manual: "One day in Hyrule, a strange force drew Link deep within Hyrule Castle, where he found the Trifroce resting, glittering brilliantly as it awaited him. 'Link... Link... Accept the quest of the Triforce!' " He's called to the Triforce, but it never mentions from where. I just assumed he was living in Hyrule at the time. My main idea (so far) for why OOS/OOA could be set right after LA is this, from the Link's Awakening instruction manual: " 'Who knows what threats may arise from Ganon's ashes?' the restless people murmured as they knitted their brows and shook their heads." And, guess what happens in a linked OOS/OOA game? That's right, Twinrova revives Ganon. I'll have to hunt around for other connections, too.

Not really. They included every move, it's just that Smergle is the only Pokémon that can learn Sketch, and Smergle (if I'm not mistaken) can't be caught in R/S. It's still in the game, it just can't be caught in the game. I don't see why they wouldn't include Sketch in the move list just because you can't catch the Pokémon that uses it.
Originally posted by Nefertimon I said, don't post Pokemon unless they're FicTrainer's Pokemon or something...
Actually, I think this thread would be better suited to any and all fictional Pokémon. The other thread was mainly about what you'd consider a perfect Pokémon, not just any fictional Pokémon. Not to mention the other thread is kinda dead. :cross:

Yes, all of the original Pokémon are in Ruby/Sapphire, they just can't be caught in Ruby/Sapphire. I've heard that Nintendo is going to release e-Reader cards that let you get all the original Pokémon that you can't catch in R/S, but I don't know if that's true. For now, however, the only way to get the Pokémon that can't be caught it R/S is with a GameShark or other cheating device.

Yes, Mei, that's right. Saria is the only one without blonde hair. (And if by picture, you mean official art, that's not the same as the in-game character models). And yes, there is a third CD-i Zelda game. It's called Zelda's Adventure. And you forgot the Game & Watch game simply titled Zelda. But whatever, barely anyone knows about that one, heh. Your turn to ask a question.
Originally posted by Lunarlani TTW can't be a sequel since Link does look pretty small. It may be a prequel, like Star Wars.
Link's age in TWW has nothing to do with whether or not TWW is a sequal to OOT. The Link in TWW isn't the same one as in OOT. Here are the confirmed links between the games. Ocarina of Time - Majora's Mask - The Wind Waker The Legend of Zelda - Zelda II: The Adventure of Link Oracle of Seasons - Oracle of Ages Those are the only links between the games where Nintendo has actually said that the games are direct sequals. (Besides them saying A Link to the Past is set before the first two, anyway, but that doesn't tell you when before them). A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening aren't confirmed, but it's pretty obvious, what with Agahnim's Shadow and Ganon's Shadow being part of the end boss. None of the other games besides LTP feature Agahnim, and none of the others feature a Ganon fight like that. As for Link's Awakening and the Oracle games being connected, you may have something there, Ginny. I never thought of that before, but it sounds very likely. I'll have to think about that some more....

Yes, when it's attacking Junon, they just refer to it as "WEAPON." I don't think there's any time in the game that they refer to any WEAPON by their actual names, though. They just call them all WEAPON. So I don't think that's evidence that there's a fifth one just called WEAPON. And about the five lights coming out of the crater, yes, I know about that. I don't think those are the WEAPONs, however. If they are, that means there's six WEAPONs, not five, which I don't think anyone here believes. Why? Because Ultimate WEAPON flies off before those five light beams shoot out of the crater. Meaning that if those beams of light are WEAPONs, there's five other WEAPONs besides Ultimate. That leads me to my question, where's the sixth WEAPON, then? If you want to count those light beams as WEAPONs, then there's six, not five. As for it being Utlimate WEAPON that attacks Junon, I'm sorry, but that's just silly. I mean, you see Ultimate WEAPON in the CG scene where the WEAPONs are coming out of the crater. It's a big black dragon, just like it looks with the in-game character model. The difference between the CG and in-game graphics can't be used to justify someone thinking it's Ultimate that attacks Junon; it just doesn't work. But, the difference in color and detail between the WEAPON attacking Junon and Emerald WEAPON can quite easily be justified by the difference. I mean, okay, so it's a slightly different color. Two reasons, actually, why I think it's that way. First, the CG model of it is obviously going to be a lot more detailed, so it would be reflecting colors from its surroundings. (Ie, the ocean, which looks blue in that scene). Second, when you fight Emerald WEAPON, it's down below the surface. I don't know if any of you have seen pictures of stuff down deep like that in the ocean, but stuff like that, that's reflective, tends to have a greenish hue to it, from all the algea and plankton and stuff in the water. So if you wanted to get that technical about the color, there are two good reasons why it could be different between the CG and in-game models. Last but certainly not least, the shape. If you look (and I have a screen shot in my players guide of this, so I'm absolutely sure about it), the WEAPON that attacks Junon looks a lot like Emerald does, after its head is blown off. It's got that nice hole where its head should be, and has those two wing-looking-like things sticking off to the side. And if you really look at Emerald while you're fighting it, it sure looks to me like there's more of a hole than an actual head. Again, I've seen screen shots and also fought it myself and seen others fight it. Edit: Fine with me. I'm not the one that started the debate, I'm just stating and defending my opinion.

Heh, those pics are art from the original GBA Four Swords. I have a wallpaper with them on it, and I actually did make some avatars out of them back when I first got the wallpaper. They were just straight cut-and-paste, though, so they only have the background of the wallpaper. (Which has a lot of red, meaning it only really goes with the red Link). I suppose I could add in better backgrounds if I cared to, but I probably won't ever bother since I've got the new avatars now. But enough about mine, heh; this is your thread. ^_^; I think the green and purple backgrounds would look a little better if they were a bit darker. The red and blue are fine, though. The pics also look a bit blurry; the ones I've got are nice and crisp. I don't know if that's from resizing or something like that, or if they were just like that in the first place, though, so you may not be able to help the blurryness. They still look pretty good, though. And, as always out of that set of pics, the red one is my favorite. I like his stance and expression more than the other three. ^_^

Well, there's one very big problem with saying that Ultimate WEAPON was the one to attack Junon. That is, the WEAPON that attacks Junon and Ultimate WEAPON look extremely different. Ultimate WEAPON is a black dragon, while the WEAPON that attacked Junon was a blue thing shaped entirely different and with fins, not arms and wings. Personally, I think Emerald was the one to attack Junon. Emerald looks the most like the one in the CG movie, especially after its head is blown off. (My main reason for thinking the Emerald and the WEAPON that attacks Junon are the same, not to mention they both seem to live in the water). It's possible that they changed the CG movie in the US version to have Emerald WEAPON attack Junon instead of Ultimate or Diamond. I mean, they changed the CG movie of the WEAPONs coming out of the crater to show the two new ones, so why not the one for Junon? I think the only thing that would make me believe there are five WEAPONs in FFVII is if Square Enix came right out and said there are five, or if I see the CG movie of the WEAPON attacking Junon in the Japanese version and it's the same WEAPON as in the US version. (In which case it couldn't be Emerald, since Emerald isn't in the Japanese version, like you said).

That's still not all of them. ^_^; Here's something that should help, though: In OOT, there are only two hair colors for the Kokiri; blonde and green. (The blonde color looks a bit orangish, but it's like that on all of the blonde ones, so it can't really count as a separate color). That being said, it might be easier to just tell which Kokiri don't have blonde hair....

Heh, yeah, it is a kids cartoon, so it's gotta be funny in some way. If Link wanted Zelda that badly in the games, there probably would've been more than two kisses between them (that's out of all the different Links and Zeldas in the series), and they probably wouldn't have been from Zelda. (The ones I'm refering to, by the way, are at the end of a linked Oracle of Seasons or Oracle of Ages game, where Zelda gives Link a kiss on the cheek). :cross:
Originally posted by Logan Someone is already using that one so you can't...:-/
Lol, there are already two people using the first green Link avatar. I only get so much bandwidth on the site, and if I use too much, it goes down for a while. And that would mean your avatar would also go down. Another way to set it as your avatar is to right click on it and then select "Save Picture As..." (Or "Save Image As..." if you're using Netscape). Save it somewhere on your hard drive, and then go into your OB profile where you can select your avatar. Then, down by the little box where you can choose your own avatar, click the "Browse" button and find the avatar on your hard drive. Double click the file, click the "Submit" button, and it'll upload it to OB as your avatar. That way it won't be using bandwidth on my site. ^_^ Oh, and I've just added another banner to my first post. This one features the green Link, and is similar to the blue Link banner. Edit I: Added another banner. That makes two more added just recently, the green and the red Link ones. ^_^ Edit II: Heh, I just keep churning 'em out. This time it's a Metroid Prime banner. (That's right, this thread hasn't become all Zelda). It's pretty simple, and not the greatest, but it gave me an excuse to use that awesome Sheegoth pic. :toothy:

Heheh, I like the chat banner. Too bad I'm not in it at all, except for a bit of my name on the list to the right. :cross: The other one is cute. ^_^

Lol, methinks you read my post a little too fast, Ginny. "Just be glad Piggy is a black magic spell..." Piggy and Toad are black magic, and Cecil uses white magic. Cecil didn't turn Auron into a pig, he was saying Auron should be glad that he couldn't turn him into a pig. But whatever, it's past, so it doesn't really matter. :cross: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back on the Ragnarok, the three sat down, Cecil in the pilot's chair. "Now, lets see how this ship handles. Ever since the teams merged, I've been itching to fly this thing, but Cid was always the one to pilot it." "Knock yourself out," said Zell, having already had quite a bit of experience with the ship. "It's a blas--WOAH!" The three of them were pushed back in their seats as the Ragnarok leapt into the air with a start, flying low over the calm ocean water. Cecil was smiling as he took the ship higher into the air and performed some wide, sweeping turns. "You're right," he said. "This is even better than the Hilda Garde III. So where are we headed, then?" "Kilika Temple," Auron said, and then preceded to point Cecil in the right direction. "Okay, we'll be there in no--" "We just passed it. You need to slow down." "Um...you guys might want to strap in." Auron sighed, and then secured the harness attached to the seat. "You aren't going to just slow down and turn around, are you?" "Turn around, yes. Slow down...as we land, yes." Then, accompanied by a shout from Zell, Cecil pulled up sharply, flipping the Ragnarok upside down before doing a half barrel role and leveling out, now flying back towards the temple in the opposite direction. Through the maneuver, Auron stayed silent, gripping the arms of his seat and glaring. Not until they had leveled out and were slowing down to land did he speak. "Don't ever do that again without warning." "Damn straight!" Zell yelled from across the room, in a heap against the wall. Trying to contain his laughter, Cecil set the ship down a little ways from the temple and shut off the engines. "I told you to strap in. That should have been warning enough." Zell joined Auron in the glaring, and stormed off towards the hatch. "Fine, I'll just be off, then. You two can come out of the airship together!" Cecil and Auron took a glance at one another, and then dashed out of the room to catch up with Zell before he left the airship. The last thing they needed was another story of them being left together in the airship.

Well, if you want to be able to understand what's going on in the story mode, you probably shouldn't import it. Other than the story mode, though, I wouldn't think there'd be much in the way of text/speech besides the menus.

Well, technically, all of the games are sequals to one another seeing as they all take place in the same world or in different worlds connected to that world. (As in the case of Majora's Mask and the Oracle games, but it's still happening to characters from the original world). A game doesn't have to have the same characters and everything to be a sequal, they just have to be similar. I mean, look at the Final Fantasy series; all of those are sequals, but the only direct sequal is FFX-2 because it has a very clear connection to FFX. And that's what we're discussing here--direct sequals; ones that have a clear connection to another game in the series. TWW is a direct sequal to OOT, because in TWW it's made very clear that TWW is set after OOT. TWW mentions events in OOT, and tells what happens after the events of OOT, which connect to the events in TWW. Gah, too many abbreviations. Hope that's not too confusing. :cross:

There's still more. ^_^

Just to let people know, all fan fiction should go in the Poetry, Fan Fiction & Literature forum. Length doesn't matter, that's just where they belong. ^_^

Answer: It costs 3184 Rupees to get all eight Triforce Charts deciphered. Question: Which Kokiri (out of the ones in OOT and TWW, since those are the only two games with Kokiri in them) have blonde hair?
-
TWW is a confirmed sequal to OOT, but not to anything else. All the stuff that mentions a previous hero in TWW is refering to OOT, not LTP. Personally, I think LTP (A Link to the Past) is set after TWW.
-
You forgot The Legend of Zelda, which has a desert. Close enough, though. ^_^ Answer: 5999 Rupees. 5499 in the bank, and 500 in your wallet. Question: What non-magic consuming item in the Zelda series makes you invicible until you leave the room that you got it in?

You know, Cecil does know Heal. And Haste. :p ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cecil shook his head and laughed. "Nice one, Auron. Shall we continue in to see our friends?" "Yes, lets go," Auron said as the trio started walking farther into the temple. "Wait a minute...." Auron looked around--everything looked at least five times their normal size. Cecil grinned down at him. "Size, courtesy of Rosa," he said with a smirk as he turned and walked a few steps before dropping another Remedy that he had found outside. To him, it was only a few steps, but for Auron it would take a minute to walk there even with the lingering effects of the Haste spell. "Just be glad Piggy is a black magic spell," Cecil said with a wink. A couple rooms farther into the temple, Cecil and Zell came across the first two contestants to be evicted, Squall and Tidus. They were leaning against the walls on opposite sides of the room, not looking too happy with each other. "Squall!" Zell jumped past Cecil into the room, happy to see his old friend again. They began talking, and a conversation about the past events and challenges quickly sprung up. Over on the other side of the room, Cecil walked up to Tidus and offered his hand. "I don't think I ever actually got to meet you," he said as he shook Tidus' hand. "I'm Cecil, pleased to meet you." "The name's Tidus." He looked around before speaking again. "Where's Auron? I thought he was still in this thing." Cecil let a small grin spread across his face. "Oh, he'll be along in a minute. He just had something he needed to take care of really quick."
Originally posted by OlgaTheDwarf You do know that not all deserts are filled with sand? Saying that some might even consider WW's big Ocean a desert.
Yes, I know, but most people think of an arid, sandy region when they hear the word "desert." And that's what I'm refering to. Which Zelda games have areas like that, that aren't just beaches?
-
Okay, so technically one of them isn't an actual island (the Islet of Steel), and some of them are made up of a few little islets. But most of them are actual islands. I was trying not to make my answers too long, so I just refered to all of them as islands, okay? As for what I consider a desert, pretty much just some place with lots of sand that isn't a beach, heh. They don't have to have names, just some desert area.

Indeed, introduction threads aren't allowed here, as they usually just end with people making short little posts that say nothing but basically "Hi, welcome to the board." So yeah, I'll just close this.... Thread Closed
