  1. [color=indigo]Um...what question or you answering? SonicSlash didn't get my question right, though, so we're still on my question.[/color]
  2. [color=indigo]1. A good remix of the original Zelda overworld theme 2. Hyrule Temple - Super Smash Bros. Melee 3. Dark World theme - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 4. Phantom Ganon - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker 5. Farewell Hyrule King - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker 6. Mother - Super Smash Bros. Melee 7. Smash Bros. Great Medley - Smashing...Live! Super Smash Bros. Melee Live Orchestra Music 8. Magmoor Caverns theme - Metroid Prime 9. Title Theme - Metroid Prime 10. Final Fantasy Main Theme - Final Fantasy IV (No, not the Prelude theme, the prologue theme). 11. Battle With Magus - Chrono Trigger 12. One Winged Angel - Final Fantasy VII 13. To Far Away Times - Chrono Trigger I would absolutely love to have a CD with those tracks on it (in that order), whether or not I would have anything else to listen to. And yes, I know, all of that is videogame music. Videogame music makes up about 90% of what I listen to. :p[/color]
  3. [color=indigo]Woah...that's freaky. Cool, but freaky, heh. *can't resist posting an invert of me* Whee.... ^_^[/color]
  4. [color=indigo]Wow...I knew they were good, but I didn't expect such high praise, heh. And people are actually using them, too. That's about the biggest compliment you can give them. ^_^ Anyway, added the banner I'm using and a new one featuring just the blue Link to my first post. (I really like how the background on the blue Link one came out). So, there ya go, Zeh. If you want, I can take the logo out for you, but I like it better with it in. I can also make it smaller; just remembered you said you wanted it a little smaller than 500x100. :cross:[/color]
  5. [QUOTE][i]Originally posted by OtakuSennen [/i] [B]Wow.. Those are amazing.. ^_^ You have great talent, Desbreko. [/B][/QUOTE] [color=indigo]Thanks. I also made that Sheik one that you're using, and all the other preset Zelda ones. ^_^ Well, I guess I'll ask James if he wants to put any of them up. Most of the presets are already Zelda ones, though. We do only have one Metroid Prime avatar (also made by me :D), however, so maybe he'll put the MP ones up. By the way, Zeh, I'm going to work on your banner tonight. :)[/color] [b]Edit:[/b] [color=seagreen]Bleh, just noticed that part of red Link was showing in the second blue Link avatar. Edited that out just now, though, adding in background instead of red Link's arm.[/color]
  6. [color=indigo]Okay, if you're going to be able to lose a GBA SP, you're also going to be able to lose a normal GBA. It's not [i]that[/i] tiny. And besides, how could you lose it? Just keep it in your pocket when you're not playing it. That's what I do. And unless you have a hole in your pocket, in which case you shouldn't be carrying it in that pocket in the first place, it's kind of hard to lose something out of a pocket. So yeah, no offense, but if you lose something, it's your own fault. You can't really blame it on the SP being too small; you'd still be the one that didn't keep track of where it was, and ended up losing it. And about only being able to recharge the battery 30 times, I really doubt that. The instruction manual says that, "After 500 charges, battery life may become only 70% of the battery life when new." That's [i]500[/i] charges before it starts to even take less of a charge, and I have no reason to doubt that, since they've always been pretty accurate with their claims about battery life. (It's been accurate with the GBC, GBA, and WaveBird GCN controller). If your friend was only able to recharge the battery about 30 times, he's probably just got a defective one. So yeah, I still hold to my opinion that the GBA SP's only fault is the lack of a headphone jack. (You can buy a $5 adapter for it so that you can use headphones, though). Yes, if you already have an original GBA, there's not a whole lot of reason to get an SP since you can go out and buy a light/screen protector. If you don't have an original GBA, however, and you're looking into getting one, most people will agree that the SP is a better choice. Like James said, the SP is obviously superior.[/color]
  7. [color=indigo]Well, I've had experience as member, moderator, and catagory moderator. The whole time being here has been fun, but I think the most enjoyable time was when I was a normal mod of the Zelda and Nintendo forums. It was nice because I could do something about spam and stuff, but I also had people over me, so I didn't have to worry about being on pretty much every day, missing something, or having to make a final call on something. I could always ask the catagory moderator what should be done about something, and stuff like that. Now I'm the one that has to make the final decision on how a particular thread or whatever should be dealt with. (Besides James or Charles, that is; I can still ask them about stuff if I'm really not sure on something). Being a normal mod was sort of like getting the best of both words, I guess. You can deal with spam and stuff, but you don't have a whole lot of responsibility. Still, I don't think I'd want to go back to being a normal mod if I had the option of staying a catagory moderator. It's also kind of nice having the extra responsibility (I can ban people, mwahaha!), and it's also nice to be helping out with the board. Even if I were a normal member, I'd still be browsing the same forums--I'd just be using the "Report this post to a moderator" link instead of taking care of the stuff myself.[/color]
  8. [color=indigo]Yes, yes, no, and yes. There are more, though, also. :)[/color]
  9. [color=indigo]How 'bout the blue one? I'm planning on using the purple with shield one as soon as I make a banner to go with it. ^_^[/color]
  10. [color=indigo]mirai_torankusu said pretty much everything I would have said, heh. The only fault I can find with the GBA SP is the lack of a headphone jack. And I don't even really care about that, since I barely ever use headphones. Oh, one thing you didn't mention, though, is the flip-top screen. I'm absolutely loving it; there's not a single scratch on the screen because of it, and I've had mine since the SP was released. And the thing is, I've taken my SP more places than I ever took my original GBA, so that's really saying something. (Especially since I've had my original GBA since it was released). It's so easy to stick the SP in a pocket to take with you, and you never have to worry about the screen getting scratched.[/color]
  11. [QUOTE][i]Originally posted by mirai_torankusu [/i] [B]That would probably never happen seeing as Nintendo would never go third party, which would be the only possible situation in which your idea could happen. Although, I do admit that it would be pretty cool. Unlikely but cool. [/B][/QUOTE] [color=indigo]I think he meant just have an online service with the GCN, so that you'd be able to play Smash Bros. with other people over the net. Not have an SSB game on the PS2 or Xbox. I agree, though, online play would be awesome. The problem with it, though, is lag. In a fighting game like SSB, slowdown can mean the loss of a match, which would really suck. They'd probably have to make it broadband only for it to work very well.[/color] [b]Edit:[/b] [color=seagreen]Yeah, I've also heard that Nintendo and GameSpy have been talking about, or are going to be talking about, setting up an online network for the GCN. As for it being free, it would probably be up to the publishers whether or not to charge a fee, but Nintendo has said that all of their first party games that support online play will be free. (If they do ever make any online games, that is).[/color]
  12. [color=indigo]Actually, Ultimate is the one you chase around in the Highwind. Diamond is the one that attacks Midgar. :p Hmm...guess I should ask a question, then, shouldn't I. :cross: [b]Question:[/b] In FFVI, how do you perform Sabin's Bum Rush Blitz? (As in, what's the button/direction combination?)[/color]
  13. [color=indigo]Also, your avatar can only be a maximum of 80x80 pixels. If the picture is bigger than that, it won't work, so I'd check the size of the picture.[/color]
  14. [color=indigo]Omega Weapon isn't in FFVII. There's Ultimate, Diamond, Emerald, and Ruby (and some will also say Sapphire or something else like that), but no Omega.[/color]
  15. [color=indigo]What kinds of islands? Like, islands out in the sea, or do little islands in lakes count? I guess I'll mention both kinds.... [b]Answer:[/b] LOZ - There's a couple islands out in the middle of a lake. AOL - Maze Island, and the little island that the Island Palace is on. LTP - There's the island out in the middle of Lake Hylia. LA - The whole game is set on Koholint Island. OOT - Again, an island out in the middle of Lake Hylia. MM - No islands, unless you count Pinnacle Rock or the Great Bay Temple. OOS - No islands, except a little tiny one a bit east of the Graveyard. OOA - Crescent Island. FS - No islands. TWW - There's 49 islands in the game, I'm not going to name them all. :worried: [b]Question:[/b] Which Zelda games have deserts in them?[/color]
  16. [color=indigo]Lately I've been making Zelda: Four Swords and Metroid Prime banners/avatars. Figured I'd post them up for people to see and/or use. Enjoy. ^_^ [b]The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords[/b] [i]Banners[/i] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/banners/ZeldaFourSwords.jpg[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/banners/ZeldaFourSwords-GreenLink.jpg[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/banners/ZeldaFourSwords-RedLink.jpg[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/banners/ZeldaFourSwords-BlueLink.jpg[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/banners/ZeldaFourSwords-PurpleLink.jpg[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/banners/ItsAllAboutTheRupees.jpg[/url] [i]Avatars[/i] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkGreen2.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkGreen3.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkRed2.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkRed3.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkBlue2.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkBlue3.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkPurple2.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/zeldafourswords/80x80-LinkPurple3.gif[/url] [b]Metroid Prime[/b] [i]Banners[/i] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/banners/SamusVsSheegoth.gif[/url] [i]Avatars[/i] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-ChozoStatue.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-ElitePirate.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-Metroid.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-MetroidPrime.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-Samus.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-SamusGravitySuit.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-SamusPhazonSuit.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-Sheegoth.gif[/url] [url]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/avatars/metroidprime/80x80-TallonMetroid.gif[/url] Feel free to use any of these banners and avatars. All I ask is that you not directly link to them when you use them, since I don't get a ton of bandwidth on the site that I'm hosting them on. So please host the banners yourself if you wish to use them, and download the avatars and then upload them to OB in your profile if you wish to use those. Thanks. :)[/color] [b]Edit:[/b] [color=seagreen]Switched from [img] tags to just linking to the files.[/color]
  17. [color=indigo]Yeah, it was announced a while ago that they'd be releasing episodes of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and that on DVD. I'd like to get the Zelda episodes, if I can find them. They're funny in a really stupid sort of way, heh.[/color]
  18. [color=indigo]First off all, I'd like to remind everyone that replying to something that's against the rules with "That's against the rules" is spam in itself. If you see something that's breaking the rules, use the "Report this post to a moderator" link, don't post. Second, posting just to show off a picture or flash movie or whatever is against the rules. (If you've made it, that's fine, but then it would go in the Art & Design forum). I wouldn't really consider this advertising so much, since it's not your site, but more just general spam in that this can't possibly result in any decent discussion. With that said.... [img]http://www.angelfire.com/ex/desbreko/Lock.gif[/img] Thread Closed[/color]
  19. [color=indigo][b]Answer:[/b] You can get 43 Heart Container Pieces before entering the Great Bay Temple. That's all of them besides the frog choir one, the one from the jumping game in Great Bay, the one from the Spirit House in Ikana Canyon, the one in the Ancient Castle of Ikana, the one in the secret cave in Ikana Canyon, and the four Moon Dungeon ones. [b]Question:[/b] In which of the Zelda games do you get a Boomerang? (Counting Four Swords as a separate game).[/color]
  20. [color=indigo]If you're going to reply, at least give some better reasons than "such and such was cool." Otherwise, this thread will be closed on account of the whole thing consisting of spammy posts.[/color]
  21. [QUOTE][i]Originally posted by PoisonTongue [/i] [B]Heh. Note I said "thinking about getting a GBA." ;-) [/B][/QUOTE] [color=indigo]Um, yeah, I know. And I said I'd only reccomend getting a GBP instead of a GBA/SP if you would never take a GBA anywhere. Meaning if someone [i]is[/i] thinking about getting a GBA, think whether or not you would take a GBA with you at all. If you would take it with you a lot, I wouldn't reccomend getting a GBP instead because you'd only be able to play at home.[/color]
  22. [color=indigo]The longest car ride I've been on was from my home town down to Los Angeles. It took about twelve hours, and was pretty boring for the most part. (It was interesting to see all the different cities that we passed through, but after a while it all started to looking the same). I find that a lot of the time on long car rides, though, I just sit and let my mind wander. Or if I listen to one of the CDs that I usually bring, I'll just sit there long after I've finished listening to it, letting the songs run through my mind over and over again. And then, of course, there's my Game Boy Advance. If I get totally bored, I can just pop a game in a play until I get tired of it. Then I usually go back to staring out the window and letting my mind wander. Also, I'll read if I've got a book. Reading in the car has never made me get sick, which I'm really grateful for since I like to read a lot whenever I've got a good book.[/color]
  23. [color=indigo]Well, while reading the last couple pages, I got an idea for something to to replace post counts. That is, base it on how many words you've posted. Like, say, you get a point for every hundred or thousand or however many words you post. (I think every thousand would be best). That way it'd be encouraging how much is in the posts, instead of the posts themselves. I think that's about the closest thing you could get to judging actual post quality, short of having the mods judging and awarding points. (Which I personally would not like to do, since it would just be too much of a hassle). I really have no idea how difficult this would be to impliment, or if it's even possible, though. Just figured I'd throw it out there.[/color]
  24. [color=seagreen]Heh, yes, Cecil is also pretty serious and all that most of the time. You started it with Auron, though. I just joined in. :p[/color] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [color=teal]"Hmm, yes, the little water party was rather tiring,"[/color] Cecil said as he looked about the hut. There were three beds, each set up against a different wall, with a low table and chairs in the center. Cecil reclined on the bed against the left wall, leaning his sword against the head post. [color=teal]"No thanks to you,"[/color] Cecil added with a bit of a laugh as he looked over towards Auron. Auron sat down on the bed across from Cecil's. [color=crimson]"Hmph."[/color] Silence for a few moments, before Zell decided to break the silence. [color=orangered]"Oh, come on, I could see you were having fun, Si--"[/color] [color=crimson]"What did I just say?"[/color] Auron growled at Zell. Cecil laughed, watching as Zell tried to hide under the covers of his bed. [color=teal]"At least it's not as bad as 'Aurie,' right?"[/color] Auron raised an eyebrow, glancing at Cecil. [color=crimson]"Where did you get [i]that[/i] from?"[/color] [color=teal]"You think I wasn't listening while Eiko was around during that challenge?"[/color] Cecil chuckled as Auron hmphed again. [color=teal]"To tell the truth, though, I'm not much one for formal titles either. Paladin is fine, but. . . ."[/color] He trailed off, leaving the alternative unsaid. [color=orangered]"But what?"[/color] Zell asked, poking his head out from under the covers. [color=teal]"If I told you, I'd never hear the end of it until this game is over. Lets just say it would be a lot more annoying that 'Sir,' okay?"[/color] [color=orangered]"Oh come onnn!"[/color] Cecil glanced over at Zell, a look of mock anger on his face. [color=teal]"Do I have to have Auron get Wakka again?"[/color] This remark managed to get a small chuckle from Auron, while Zell just glanced back and forth between the two, wondering if they were serious.
