[color=#4B0082]Are you just eyeballing it or are you actually comparing RGB values between the previous piece and your final, JPG compressed piece? Because depending on your monitor's quality, calibration, and settings, colors that look the same for you may not look the same on other screens. (LCD monitors with the TN panel types are especially bad for this since they can't even display 24-bit color and have to use dithering to try and make up for their lower color depth.) When matching up solid colors like this, I'd recommend always checking the RGB values to make sure they're at least very close, if not exact. As for the issue of colors differing between Photoshop and your browser, I'm not sure what's up with that. I look at all mismatches in both Firefox and Photoshop and they've always looked the same in both. By the way, this isn't a huge deal and I'm not trying to pick on anyone. I just figure that for something like color matching, which is relatively simple to fix, it's best to let people know when their pieces are off. If you look back through the thread, you'll see that I've brought up mismatches a few times before. But if you guys really don't care enough to fix it, just say so and I'll upload the piece as is.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]You've got a slight color mismatch on the pink, like with your last piece. You may want to take another look at how you're matching colors.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]Where did you get the sound drivers for it? I'd try uninstalling them and installing a new version from the manufacturer's website (if you know who made the sound card, or the motherboard if it's on-board sound) or Windows Update.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]Yes, thank you. I'll update the worm page now.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]The yellow on the left side of your piece doesn't quite match up. Cat's uses #FBD860 and yours uses #FDDE74.[/color]

Anime What are You Watching/Reading Now?
Desbreko replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Otaku Central
[color=#4B0082]I just finished watching the first two seasons of [b]Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha[/b], which was highly entertaining. It was a lot different from all the other magical girl shows I've seen. During the first couple episodes it looked like just another standard magical girl show, but after that it completely split off from the usual formula. More than any other magical girl anime I've seen so far, it made me want to keep watching episode after episode without pause, and if not for needing sleep I could've easily marathoned each season in one sitting. I'm going to start on the third season, StrikerS, soon. I'm hoping it will be just as good, but I'm wary of Nanoha and the others being grown up. Magical girl anime just isn't the same with older characters.[/color] -
[color=#4B0082]Attaching files to PMs isn't possible on this version of vB without installing a mod. It'll likely be enabled whenever we can get around to upgrading the vB software but probably won't happen before then. For now, I'd recommend sharing files with ImageShack for images, Google Documents for text, and some file hosting site like Megaupload for other files.[/color]

Anime The Most Hot-Looking Anime/Manga Females In Your Opinion
Desbreko replied to stararnold's topic in Otaku Central
[color=#4B0082][b]Charlotte Hazelrink[/b] from [b]Princess Lover![/b] is quite beautiful. Her light pink hair and indigo eyes are incredibly pretty together.[/color] [URL=http://img338.imageshack.us/i/charlotte02.jpg/][IMG]http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/1340/charlotte02.th.jpg[/IMG][/URL] -
[color=#4B0082]I don't think anything can beat Lucky Star for this kind of thing, but [b]Ichigo Mashimaro[/b] comes close. The whole show is exceedingly cute, exudes a soft-and-fluffy aura, and has a ton of great gags. Also, I can't believe no one has mentioned [b]Aria[/b] yet. It's basically the definitive calm and soothing anime. I don't know of anything better for pure relaxation. Another couple good series for this are [b]Hidamari Sketch[/b] and [b]Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~[/b]. I especially recommend Hidamari Sketch to anyone who likes Lucky Star.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]No wifi USB dongle is going to have miles-long range. At most, you'll get a few hundred feet. But 802.11n has longer ranger than 802.11g, which I'm assuming is what the Wireless N and Wireless G models refer to.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]Ah, okay. It probably is the router, then. The netbook is apparently just better at picking the connection back up. And you can't swap wireless cards that are built in, so forget that. If it were the kind that plugged into a slot in the laptop, then it would be simple. Anyway, first I'd make sure there's nothing around the router that could be causing interference. Then I'd take a look at the router's wireless settings and try tweaking stuff to see if anything has an effect. (If you don't know what the settings mean, now's a good time to learn. Wikipedia knows all.) Like, if you're using encryption, try disabling it and seeing if that makes a difference, or try changing the basic rate, etc. But it may just be that your router's wireless is crapping out.[/color]
-
[color=#4B0082]If you lose connection with one laptop while the other remains connected, that means it's most likely a problem with the laptop rather than the router. Have you compared the network connection settings between the one that loses connection and the one that doesn't? Also, how did you test the wireless card? Did you try swapping the two laptops' cards and seeing if that made any difference?[/color]

[color=#4B0082]Variable length pieces would be no problem as far as the HTML is concerned, so you wouldn't even need to strictly specify whole pieces. You could use whatever random width you wanted. A graphic square would also be easy enough to code. The only tricky part would be labeling them. For that, we could maybe make the images the table cell backgrounds and then overlay the artist's name on top of them with text. Or just have a little list below it with the names of who made what.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]I still rake leaves off our lawns despite my family owning a leaf blower. In the winter, we usually keep a kettle of water heated on the stove for making tea or cocoa instead of using the microwave.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]I think you cut your piece at the wrong point when saving it. Part of jigglyness's is repeated in yours.[/color] [URL=http://img265.imageshack.us/i/obgfxworm.jpg/][IMG]http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/4283/obgfxworm.th.jpg[/IMG][/URL]

[color=#4B0082]Anyone who enjoys shoujo series and/or is disgruntled with the dumb parts of Shugo Chara! Party! needs to watch [b]Yumeiro Patissiere[/b]. The two episodes I've seen so far have been great, especially ep2 when [url=http://img245.imageshack.us/i/vanillaspoonslap.jpg/][u]Vanilla[/u][/url] is introduced. I'm looking forward to the other sweets spirits showing up.[/color]

[quote name='Kaze']I never hear anyone talk about [b]Bokurano[/b], and none of my friends (all of whom watch anime), seem to know a thing about it.[/QUOTE][color=#4B0082]I haven't actually watched Bokurano, but its OP theme, Uninstall by Ishikawa Chiaki, is one of the best OP's I've ever heard. It got me into her music and now she's one of my favorite Japanese singers. Every now and then I feel like I should actually get around to watching the anime, but there's always other stuff ahead of it in line. :animeswea[/color]

[color=#4B0082][b]Hidamari Sketch[/b] is one of the best yet most underrated anime I've seen. It's similar to Lucky Star in that a lot of it revolves around weird conversations between four high school girls, but it's also got a lot more relaxing atmosphere. It's funny yet also gives off a warm, fuzzy feeling at times.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]Thus why I'd want the Japanese voice track. The dub was okay but, like most anime and game dubs, doesn't hold up against the Japanese. Plus, Aeris was voiced by Sakamoto Maaya in the Japanese version, who is rather amazing.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]I'll second [url=http://www.avira.com/][u]Avira[/u][/url], it's what I currently use. I used to use AVG and it seemed to do okay, but I ended up having to uninstall it because it interferes with some online games. I'd also recommend getting [url=http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html][u]SpyBot - Search & Destroy[/u][/url] in addition to whatever anti-virus software you get. It can detect malware that anti-virus programs might miss.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]I wouldn't mind voice acting if they got the cast from Advent Children to do it. And preferably included the Japanese voice track with subtitles in the English releases. Personally, I mostly hope for a total overhaul of the game's difficulty balancing if a remake does ever happen. As I talked about earlier in the thread, the whole materia system is completely overpowered, probably more so than any other RPG magic system that I've used. I keep hearing that they made the DS remake of FFIV harder than even the original SNES hard-type version (I still have yet to play the DS remake myself :animecry:) so I hope Square-Enix will continue that with any farther remakes.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]I'm not sure what you mean, regarding the links. Taking a look at the [url=http://www.otakuboards.com/misc.php?do=bbcode][u]vB Code List[/u][/url] page might help, though. It explains how to use all of the available bb tags. As for free image hosts, I use ImageShack.[/color]

[quote name='munchiegames']I tried to post about a new game here but the moderator Kory decided that it doesnt fit the rules, even though many big company products /games are shown here and there is no rule against posting such things.[/QUOTE][color=#4B0082]I just want to point out the difference between other game-specific threads threads in the Arcade and the one you posted. For the other threads, the reason people post them is to talk about the game; they find the game interesting and they want to discuss it with other members. In the case of your thread, you just posted a link to your site to try and generate more traffic. That's what separates allowed threads from those that aren't when it comes to the no advertising rule. Now, if you start a thread and actually give some information about the game, why it's worth playing and, say, ask what people think of it, it would be allowed. At that point the thread is no longer solely devoted to advertising, it also opens up points of discussion.[/color]

[color=#4B0082]The colors on the left edge don't match up, jigglyness. There's a very obvious line where the new piece starts.[/color] [b]edit:[/b] [quote name='jigglyness']aish. It looks fine on my comp D: omg. Why do you hate me so much?? T.T I'll remake another one. [sighs][/QUOTE] [color=#4B0082]This is what I see when I put it into the worm page:[/color] [URL=http://img196.imageshack.us/i/graphicworm6364.jpg/][IMG]http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/9539/graphicworm6364.th.jpg[/IMG][/URL]

[color=#4B0082]Well, there's a few current series I could name but there's no way they'd be able to support their own sub-forum. Usually when I watch anime and I'm in theO chat, I do a little action message to announce what I'm watching. And most of the time no one but the people who know me have heard of the anime I mention. So it's hard to do something different when the majority of the members don't know about anything other than really mainstream shows. I've been trying for about a year now to spread interest in lesser known anime with my Anime Club chats and so far I haven't managed it. :animesigh[/color]
