I was kind of looking for exact numbers, on my question. It would kind of defeat the purpose of the question if I accepted a rang of answers. . . . As for Ohkami's question, these four are the only ones I know of: Misty, Brock, Todd (I think that was his name, the photographer guy), Casey (again, not sure on the name, the one that likes to draw the Pokémon)

Heheh, three cups of coffee for three days will give most people the start of an addiction. You just don't notice until you just stop drinking it all together for a few days. Personally, I mainly drink coffee/espresso/tea for the taste, though, and usually not for the caffein. (Those three things, in addition to water, are all I drink; I can't stand any type of soda or juice). Also, I'm usually too lazy to make coffee, so I'm not really addicted at all. I usually only have about two or three cups of coffee a week.

Maybe they decided to scrap the idea, but they were already too far along with it to just stop it, so they just dropped Misty and Brock from the show? (For that season, anyway). I don't know, really; that's a good question. Maybe Misty and Brock will still be in the movies.

I figured we had enough un-answered ones left over from the last page, but I guess I'll ask one. Question: How many Pokémon are there in Pokémon Red Version, and how many are there in Blue Version?

I know you said you were accepting sign-ups via PM (which I sent), but I thought it would be helpful to also post it in here. That way other people can see what my character is like, and if I forget something it'd be easier to just be able to look at it in here with the rest instead of in my PM boxes. Also. . . . Whee, first time playing a female character. Lets just hope I don't screw it up. :toothy: Ancient Force: Starlet, the Celestial Goddess Power/Elemental: Holy Attack: Group Hug (completely restores the party's HP) Incarnation: Ariel Starwind Gender: Female Supposed Age: 19 Trade: Healer (White Magic) Weapon: Ocarina Appearance/Personality: Tall and thin, Ariel usually wears her long, brown hair in one thick braid that hangs down to her waist. She has deep, dark blue eyes which are partially hidden behind the pair of small rectangular glasses that she wears; because of this it tends to look like she isn't paying attention to what she's doing, when in fact she notices just about everything around her. She usually wears a light, white blouse with a midnight-blue plaid skirt that hangs just past her knees. Usually quite shy in her human form, Ariel tends to stay in the background, observing many things but participating in few. In her Ancient form, Starlet is calm, dignified, and reserved, always thinking things through before acting. Only when the life of a friend is threatened will she act spontaneously, though this can result in some incredible displays of magic.
Originally posted by aYokano It's not a chat room,so delete your post. You stupid newbie, read the rules.
I think that maybe you should also read the rules. If you do, you'll find that insulting people goes against them, and is usually considered worse than posting a couple spam posts when you're still getting the hang of the board. (As seems to be the case with SpaceCowboy156). If you see a post in the future that you think is against the rules, just use the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of the post. Posting to tell someone that they're breaking the rules is unnecessary and is spam in itself. That's what moderators are here for. Anyway, I deleted the two posts. And SpaceCowboy156, she was right, however; this isn't a chat room. I suggest you read the rules before continuing to post on OtakuBoards. Thanks.
Originally posted by AJeh *has no idea what Ger meant about the flashbang thingy*
A flashbang is a type of granade that emits a large, bright flash of light that can temporarily blind you and a loud bang of noise that can temporarily deafen you. Both of those are quite bad when you're in the middle of combat, since they make for lots of confusion. :naughty: I like the bright bluish effect along with the blur. I've never played Counter Strike, but from the quality of it, it looks like you did a pretty good job on immitating the effect. The only thing is that a bit of the text is kind of hard to read. I think it would help if more of it was on a bright background, since the text is dark. The font fits really well, though.

Who says they aren't? Sure, the only thing that's been announced so far is Pokémon, Kirby, and Yu-Gi-Oh, but that doesn't mean they won't release other series too. And yeah, these are definitely suited well to the GBA SP, with the light and flip-top screen. Makes it easy to set it down on something in front of you and still have the screen both illuminated good and pointed at you. Personally, though, I'm not too interested in these. I'd rather just get the tapes/DVDs so I'd be able to watch them on a TV. And I doubt I'd want to watch them on trips and stuff very often.

Heheheh. . . . I've been waiting to post this piece of fan art in here since the thread began:

Nintendo isn't going out of business any time soon. Go here and take a look at their 2002 annual report; the sales figures for the year are on the first page (you'll need Acrobat Reader to view the files). Nintendo's net income for 2002 was 106,444,000,000 yen, which translates into about 917,000,000 dollars. So, yeah, Nintendo is doing pretty good for itself, and they definitely aren't going out of business.

Lets see. . . . There's Maduin from FFVI, Kjata from FFVII. . . . Bleh, that's all I know of. And people, we're still on Sage's question, since it hasn't been answered yet. Please try to keep this quiz to one question at a time, otherwise it gets confusing as to whose question you're answering and whose turn it is to ask a question.

Yeah, I have Yellow, and you have to trade Pikachu to another game in order to evolve it. Once you do that, it won't follow you around anymore, though, even if you trade it back to the original game that it came from.
Originally posted by Ohkami In answer to the question: Red,Blue,Yellow,Gold,Silver,Crystal,Ruby,Sapphire.
You missed Pokémon Pinball, Pokémon Trading Card Game, and Pokémon Puzzle Challenge.

For some reason, I find this word amusing: Discombobulated I know what it means and how to pronounce it, but the word itself just strikes me as amusing. I don't really know why, either. :twitch:

Hmm, yeah, you're right. I'll move it, but leave a redirect in the Pokémon forum. Nice poem, though. If that's only your first try, you'll probably do a lot better with a bit of pratice. Keep at it. :)

Hmm, some of the areas in the movie do look pretty much exactly like some of the areas in the original Metroid. I don't think it's just a remake of the original, though, because there are new areas (some of them you can tell are obviously different than anything in the original), enemies (the Space Pirates, for one), and items/abilities (shooting diagonally, hanging on edges, Speed Booster, etc.) I'm guessing this game is just set on Zebes before the planet got messed up by the bomb in the original Metroid.

My brother has some anime music videos that he's downloaded. I think my favorite would be a Cowboy Bebop one. It goes with the song (Stress, by Jim's Big Ego) really well, and is hilarious. I guess I should get it from him, since I listen to the song once or twice each day, heh.

Originally, I was planning on getting the PC version, but I'm not so sure any more. First, I really doubt my PC will be able to run it, and I don't have the money to upgrade it. Second, there are too many other games that I'd want to spend the $10 a month on. (Isn't that about what is costs per month in Japan?) Since I only make about $30 a month, that'd only leave $20 for other games. And I don't want to go back to only being able to get a new GCN game every three months. :cross:

I'm not really sure what to do. I think the best option might be to just merge the teams now, though as Ginny mentioned, the problem of the airships and Lru would have to be worked out. I don't know how you were planning on handling that when the teams merged, so. . . . Or perhaps a member of Tantalus could switch over to Avalanche? I don't know if anyone would be willing to do it (I like Tantalus, personally), but it would help to even out the teams. Or maybe Tantalus could vote on who to send to the other team? I dunno, but whatever happens, I'd like to keep going with the RPG. I'm having fun with it, and like Ginny said, I'm writing for my own enjoyment. I don't care all that much if other people outside the RPG are reading it, or if I win. My main goal when I signed up was to have fun with this for as long as I could stay in.

I'm thinking this game, like the original and Super Metroid, takes place on Zebes, maybe?

Cecil looked up to the new, sparkling airship that they had just won. He could hardly wait to fly the ship, after having to fly the slow and clunky Cargo Ship for so long. After a minute, Zidane joined him in staring up at the ship in awe. Standing next to the two, Sephiroth waved a hand in front of their eyes. "Guys? Hello?" Auron sighed and tapped Cecil's shoulder. "Well, are you just going to stand there, or are you going to take us for a ride?" "Huh? . . . Oh, yeah, lets go. Come on, Zidane, find somewhere to keep Lru." "Yeah. . . ." Zidane led Lru into the airship, to go find a room that would make a suitable stable. Cecil, meanwhile, headed up to the bridge. Opening the door, he gasped at what he saw. A decent sized room lay before him, with a large viewport curving around the entire front half of the room, allowing 180° vision. In the center of the room was a large, cushioned chair with the airship's controls in front of it. Off to either side along the wall were other chairs, with various consoles set up in front of them, and a few passenger seats on either side and a bit behind the pilot's chair. "Amazing. . . ." he said under his breath as he walked into the room. He looked down; the floor was even carpeted. He slowly sat down in the pilot's chair, running his hands over the flight yolk. It was made of polished steel, with red stained wooden grips. He looked over the various controls, familiarizing himself with the ship. Auron walked in just then, and sat down in one of the passenger chairs beside Cecil. "Everyone's aboard and getting things settled in, as I see you've done." Cecil leaned back in the chair a let out a content sigh, hands on the yolk and feet resting on the rudder pedals. He glanced back at Auron with an expectant look on his face. Auron smirked, and said, "Go ahead and take her out." "Aye aye, captain," he said as he started up the engines. They hummed to life immediately, thrumming gently as Cecil eased the ship out of dock. Then a small grin spread across his face and he goosed the throttle, rocketing the ship away from Lindblum and out into the wide blue sky. A thump was heard just outside the bridge door, and then a yell as Cecil accelerated. In walked Sephiroth, looking none too pleased. "Okay, what's your excuse this time?" Cecil looked over as Sephiroth sat down opposite of Auron, and grinned. "Having a little fun with our new ship." Sephiroth shot a glare at Cecil before settling into his chair. "Bah . . . at least this thing can go a decent speed." "Indeed," said Cecil, sounding rather satisfied. He sent the ship through some wide, sweeping turns, swooped over mountain ranges, and cruised just above sea level. This was heaven compared to the old Cargo Ship.

I already asked the bit about the Rupees at the start of the quiz, but not the rest. So here goes: Answer: You can only carry 255 Rupees because Nintendo only used one byte of information for storing the amount of Rupees you have. You can have 256 different values with one byte, meaning that you can carry 0-255 Rupees. The reason why firing the Bow & Arrow uses Rupees is because you don't get separate arrows. You just buy the Arrow once, to go with the Bow (making it the Bow & Arrow), and from then on it just takes one Rupee per arrow fired. As for the bonus, the answer would either be Zelda II or A Link to the Past. In Zelda II you don't get Rupees or a Bow & Arrow, so I guess that could be seen as resolving the problem. In A Link to the Past they used more space for storing your amount of Rupees, so that you can carry up to 999. They also made it so you get arrows separately, so that it doesn't just take a Rupee for each arrow. Question: In The Legend of Zelda, how much does the Blue Ring cost?

When I replayed FFVII, I saved a few quotes... Tifa: "You're sure messed up, Cloud!" Barret: "Oh yeah? Well to me it looks like a golden shiny wire of hope." Cid: "Shut up! Sit your *** down in that chair and drink your goddamn TEA!" "Hold on to your drawers and don't piss in 'em." Palmer: "Hey-hey! Is the tea ready yet? With plenty of sugar and honey. Oh yeah, and don't forget the lard too."

I'd want to be/sort of am like Cecil from FFIV. *points to banner and avatar* I've got a strong sense of right and wrong, I'm protective of my friends, and I'm determined not to let the "bad guys" win, whoever they may be.
