Gaming im stck on zelda windwaker. Help Please!
Desbreko replied to prestongraff's topic in Noosphere
I think you get the Magic Armor by completing the trading sequence thing and then talking to Zunari. Or maybe you don't have to totally complete it, but I remember you get it somewhere in there. As for the letter thing, I found it easiest to stand on those big rocks sticking out into the ocean next to the gate. If you get into the right position on them, he won't see you and you can get a full body shot with him putting the letter in the mail box without too much trouble. It's very important to get full body shots for the different tasks that Lenzo has you do, so make sure you're not zooming in too far. -
If you want pics and wallpaper, try looking on theOtaku.com's .hack//SIGN section, or just do a search on your own. If the stuff is out there, it probably won't be all that hard to find. And if people have any .hack//SIGN artwork that they've drawn, they can and are most likely to just post their own threads instead of posting in here. That makes this thread a bit useless, so. . . . Wow, congratulations, Kevin. I knew you were working on the script, but I had no idea you had been working on it for 10 years. :twitch: And yeah, it'd be cool if you could put in a "Special Thanks" part in the credits, or something like that, with the names of OtakuBoards members, heh. *cough*putmynamefirst*cough* :toothy:

This sounds like it could be fun, and I'm thinking about signing up, but I'd need one question answered first: Would I need to be familiar with Hoenn to really be able to participate? I know Johto and Kanto well enough, but I don't have Ruby or Sapphire, so I don't know anything about Hoenn. I could probably find a map somewhere online, but beyond that, I'd be pretty much clueless. I also don't really know anything about the new Pokémon in R/S. :cross:

Outside in the hallway, Cecil and Sephiroth leaned again the wall on either side of the doorway. Through the doors they heard the regent coming to, and Zidane and Auron arguing about whose fault it was. Then another sneeze, some swearing as Cid came around, and more arguing. Cecil glanced over at the large double doors to his left. "Stay out here?" Sephiroth nodded. "Stay out here." Yet another sneeze, more swearing, and some squawking from Lru. Something hit the inside of the door hard, almost knocking them down into the hallway. "Deny any and all involvement?" Sephiroth nodded again. More banging, swearing, squawking, and general yelling. Then a voice, most likely Cid's, was partly heard through the door. "Get...giant...#%&*@$&...out...here!" "Act as if we haven't heard anything while out here?" Another nod from Sephiroth. Then Eiko came running out through the doors, Mog in her pouch, sniffling and with a few tears running down her face. She slammed the doors behind her and fled down the hallway without even a look at the two men on either side of the doors. "Don't want to know?" "Definitely don't want to know," Sephiroth said with a small shake of his head.

Gaming Here's a thought:Metroid Collection.
Desbreko replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in Noosphere
Yeah, I remember hearing about a port of Super Metroid and a new Metroid game (Fusion, as mentioned) quite a while ago, too. If they do end up porting Super Metroid, I'm not sure if I'd buy it, though, since my copy on the SNES still works fine. Maybe if they added a decent amount of new stuff, though I don't really know what they could add to the game. And yeah, like Semjaza said, they'd probably release the games separately if they released them at all. If they did do that, I'd pick up Metroid II since I've never played it before, but I'd probably pass on the other two. I can play the original on Metroid Prime (you need to have beaten Fusion to play it, by the way, not Prime), and like I said, my Super Metroid cartridge on the SNES still works perfectly. -
I've heard that the original Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is being remade on the GBA. (I think it was in an issue of Nintendo Power a few months ago). I wonder if that's the RPG, or if it's a new game? And do you know if SMA4 is going to be Yoshi's Story, or if that's a separate game?
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel Worst... I don't know. Kuja?
Okay, I've found a worst one, lol. I had forgotten about Kuja. :twitch: Oh, and General Leo from FFVI also looks pretty good, I think.

Yes, but it's not the enemies that are singing in the frog chorus, it's the frogs. So you're not bringing the enemies together, you're bringing the frogs together. And besides, only two of the frogs come from enemies (the Gekko mini-boss in Woodfall Temple and the Wart mini-boss in Great Bay Temple), so that doesn't match up all the way. And for Odolwa, I seem to remember the enemies coming at you while he's dancing and singing, not after. My answers match up just as good as yours, so :p yourself. :toothy: And my question from before still stands: Question: In The Legend of Zelda, what color is Gannon normally, and what color is he when he's stunned?
Originally posted by Triky It really does rule, do you think they will bring a sequal out on the GC?
Well, considering that the original was made by Rare, and since Rare was bought by Microsoft, no, there's no chance of a sequal coming out on the GCN. One could be released on the Xbox, though, but I haven't really heard anything about a sequal. Who knows, though? E3 is coming up, so if a sequal is in the works, it'd probably be announced then.

I like the way Setzer, from FFVI, looks. Gotta love the trench coat, heh. And the white hair looks kind of cool against the black of the coat. As for worst, hmm. . . . Can't really think of any one that really stands out as worst, really.

But . . . uh . . . all of my answers fit the clues: 1. Circus Leader's Mask - Put it on to make Gorman cry. 2. Captain's Hat - You can talk to the Stalchildren while wearing this mask. 3. Blast Mask - It hurts you to use this mask. 4. All-Night Mask - You don't sleep while wearing this mask. 5. Deku Mask - Both the dog and fire hurt you while wearing this mask. 6. Mask of Truth - It's a Mask of Truth, so it can't lie. 7. Majora's Mask - When the moon gets its largest in the sky, a "full moon," Termina will be destroyed. 8. Don Gero's Mask - You conduct the frogs to eat bugs with this mask. 9. Postman's Hat - Being a postman while wearing this mask, you'd want to check letters for stamps. 10. Stone Mask - Enemies can't see you while wearing this mask. 11. Twinmold's Remains - There's two worms but only one giant. 12. Fierce Deity's Mask - You have a twisted sword, and any boss is easy to beat with this mask. 13. Romani's Mask - This mask looks like a cow, cows go moo. 14. Mask of Scents - You snort while wearing this mask, if you stand still for a couple seconds. 15. Keaton Mask - If you wear this mask and get a Keaton to appear, it'll ask you questions. 16. Kafei's Mask - While wearing this mask, you look like Kafei, but you also look like a kid. 17. Bremen Mask - You can use this mask with your Ocarina to turn chicks into full-grown Cuccos. 18. Goht's Remains - Goats aren't too far off from sheep, and Goht is quite big. 19. Kamero's Mask - Kamero dances during the night, and you dance for the Rosa Sisters at night, using this mask. 20. Great Fairy's Mask - This mask has pigtails, and Great Fairies scream with insane laughter. 21. Garo's Mask - Garos are lost in shadow, and you fight them in a ring of fire. 22. Giant's Mask - Size matters in the fight with Twinmold, and you use the Giant's Mask to get up to the right size. 23. Odolwa's Remains - Odolwa sort of sings as it dances around the room. 24. Gyorg's Remains - Gyorg is pretty much just a huge piranha. 25. Zora Mask - You can breathe while underwater when you wear this mask. 26. Goron Mask - Gorons are rocky, and you can roll along the ground as one. 27. Couple's Mask - You get the Couple's Mask from re-uniting Anju and Kafei, who are going to wear the Moon's Mask and Sun's Mask at their wedding. 28. Bunny Hood - You're twice as fast while wearing this mask. 29. Gibdo's Mask - Gibdos, being undead monsters, don't attack you while wearing this mask.

Lol, a form of lazyness? Just because the graphics in TWW don't look as complex as other realistic looking games, that doesn't mean they were any easier to create. Seriously, just look around in the game, and at all the effects. The grass sways with the wind, amoung other things wind-related. The environments, though cel shaded, are actually quite complex when you really look at them. Just look at the first dungeon, Dragon Roost Cavern, with those huge pillars of flame and the heat effects. Then you have the lighting effects and all that. So yeah, Nintendo didn't use the cel shaded graphics because they didn't want to have to create something realistic looking. Actually, it wasn't even really the story that got people hooked on the original Legend of Zelda. It was pretty much just the gameplay alone, since there was barely any story in the original. And as far as the gameplay goes in TWW, I think they did a really good job. Better dungeons (for the most part), better combat system (they really improved over OOT/MM), more enemies, cool new items in addition to classics, amoung other little improvements.

OOC: What do you mean, no progress? Tantalus just got their first piece of Ore in my previous post. It's a start. And besides, I like taking things a little slower, with longer, more detailed posts. I mean, who says each challenge can only take a few days? You? . . . Oh, wait, you're running the game. Heheheh. . . . :toothy: On another note: Whee, someone posted, so I have an excuse to stay up and write another post! :cross: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Cecil and Sephiroth continued walking, they came upon a large, dense forest. There didn't seem to be as much mist around, being at a slightly higher elevation than the plains, but it was just as dark inside with the tightly packed trees blocking out most of the sun overhead. "Do we go in, or explore elsewhere?" Cecil said as they stopped and looked at the outer line of trees. "Doesn't matter to me." "Onward we go, then," he said and stepped forward into the forest alongside Sephiroh. The two of them walked a ways, nothing but the faint sound of their footsteps to be heard, until they came to a small clearing. Shafts of light shone down through the canopy of trees, illuminating a large brown boulder in the center of the clearing. It was rounded in a sort of oval shape, and its surface looked to be quite rough. "What do you make of that?" Cecil pointed his sword at the odd stone. "I don't know. Lets stop here for little bit, though, and take a break." "Yeah, the sun feels good after being out in that mist and then the forest for a while." Cecil sheathed his sword and leaned up against the side of the rock, looking up to the sky through the few branches that stretched across the clearing. "This forest seem really peaceful for its appearance." "Almost too peaceful," Sephiroth agreed as he too leaned against the rock. It had a strange, almost leathery feel to it, though it felt about as hard as any other rock. "Yeah. You almost get the feeling that something bad is just waiting to happen." The two of them glanced over at each other, as if they too were waiting for something bad to happen. . . . And then it did. "Sephiroth . . . did you just feel the rock move?" "No. Why?" The loud screech of a bird was heard not too far away. "That's why!" Cecil jumped away from the "rock" and quickly drew his sword. "This thing is an egg!" Another loud screech was heard, and all of a sudden a huge bird swooped down into the clearing. "And it looks as though we've upset its mother." "So much for a peaceful break." Screeching yet again, the huge bird lunged forward, pecking at Sephiroth with its large beak. Sephiroth sidestepped, avoiding the beak, but was caught by the bird's right wing as it spread them and launched itself into the air. Staggering back, he quickly regained his balance as the bird circled once and then dove at the pair with its talons extended. "Slow," Cecil said, hand extended palm out at the bird, and it suddenly slowed to half the speed it was going before. Easily dodging the large talons with the extra time, Cecil jumped onto the bird's back as it swooped by. Climbing back up into the air with powerful strokes of its wings, it tried to shake Cecil off. Holding on for dear life with his left hand, he used his right to stab the Crystal Sword deep into the bird's neck. It screeched as its spinal cord was severed, rendering its wings and legs paralyzed as it fell from the sky. Pulling the sword from the bird's neck, he looked down to the fast approaching ground and then jumped. Amazingly, his descent slowed as he neared the ground, eventually stopping about a foot off the ground. "Well, I can't say I've ever used the Float spell like that before, but it worked." Cecil grinned at Sephiroth as he hovered above the ground. "Good. A team member with broken legs wouldn't do us much good." "If it hadn't worked, I would have just used Cure 2 a couple of times." "Whatever. At least we've got two pieces of Ore now." Sephiroth held up another piece for Cecil to see. "Where'd you get that?" "Didn't you notice? The bird had it in one of its talons. I just picked it up after the bird landed." "That's strange. I can't imagine what a bird would be doing with a piece of Ore." "Well, whatever. Lets just leave before this thing hatches." Sephiroth gestured at the egg, which was now rocking slightly back and forth. It would be hatching soon.

Shutting down the ship's engines, Cecil turned to Sephiroth and said, "Shall we?" "After you," replied Sephiroth as he motioned Cecil to go ahead of him. "No, I insist, you first." "Why are you making such a fuss over something as simple as getting off the ship?" Another scream sounded off in the distance, closer this time. Both of them looked in the direction of the noise, only being able to see a few feet in the thick fog, and then back at each other. "I've got a better idea," Cecil said as he drew his Crystal Sword. "Let's go together." "Indeed," said Sephiroth, and the two leapt over the side of the airship. Cecil landed in a kneeling position, left hand on the ground and his sword in the right. Shortly after, Sephiroth landed next to him, feet squarely planted on the ground and his sword at the ready. Cecil stood up and glanced over at Sephiroth. "How do you do stuff like that? That was a good twenty foot drop!" Sephiroth merely grunted in reply and strode off into the thick mist, Cecil following close behind. Another horrid scream rent the air, this time much, much closer. The two of them stopped, listening, waiting, swords at the ready. After a minute, they heard heavy footsteps approaching. "Here it comes," Sephiroth said as he tightened his grip on the Masamune's hilt. "Good, I don't like just stand--OH DANG!" Cecil dove to the side as a large beast leapt out from the mist. A large claw threw Cecil to the ground as he dove, making yet another scratch on his well-used armor. His eyes grew wide as the beast turned on him, fangs dripping saliva in anticipation of its kill. Rolling to the side, he just managed to dodge another swipe of the beast's claws. Suddenly the beast roared in anguish, turning around. Sephiroth stood on the other side of the monster, the Masamune dripping bright red blood from its tip as Sephiroth smirked at the monster, having cut a deep gash in its side. Wasting no time, Cecil jumped to his feet as the monster advanced towards Sephiroth. Charging from the back, Cecil took a two-handed grip on his sword and swung with all his strength. The beast screamed as its left arm fell to the ground, flailing the bloody and useless stump around as it charged faster towards Sephiroth. "Hah." With a long, sweeping slash of the Masamune, the monster was no more. Its head lay on the ground, decapitated, as its body fell, still writhing and twitching. The two warriors stood for a moment, waiting until the beast stopped moving entirely, before kneeling and wiping their blades on the grass. "Is this what we're looking for?" Cecil stood and held up a rough, black stone with a few bits of sparkling crystal embedded in it. "I believe it is," Sephiroth replied. "Now we just need four more." "Well, you take it." Cecil tossed the piece of Ore to Sephiroth. "Black seems to be more your color." Sephiroth let out a small chuckle as he stowed away the Ore and the two began walking through the mist once more.

Heheh, you shouldn't ever assume that no one knows something. There's always going to be somone, somwhere, that knows the answer. :) Anyway, I guess I'll ask a question. . . . Question: In Metroid Fusion, what are all the different types of Beams that you get, and what order do you get them in?

Gaming Oh. Almighty. Crap. SMA4 is YOshi's story.
Desbreko replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in Noosphere
Yes, I'm still hoping that they'll release SMB3 as the next Super Mario Advance game, since "Super Mario Advance" isn't in the title of this game. . . . Yet, anyway. >_< I remember renting Yoshi's Story not long after I got my N64, thinking it would be like Yoshi's Island on the SNES. Boy, was I wrong. Sure, the basic gameplay wasn't too different, but it was way easier and a lot less fun. A lot shorter, too; you can beat the game in one short sitting. Even with the different paths through the game, there's just not much there. I know I won't be buying this game. If I wanted another GBA platformer, I'd get Yoshi's Island first. (Haven't gotten it yet because of lack of money/wanting other games more, heh). -
Ah, okay, so you're including the boss remains, then? In that case... Answer: 1. Circus Leader's Mask 2. Captain's Hat 3. Blast Mask 4. All-Night Mask 5. Deku Mask 6. Kafei's Mask 17. Bremen Mask 18. Goht's Remains 19. Kamero's Mask 20. Great Fairy's Mask 21. Garo's Mask 22. Giant's Mask 23. Odolwa's Remains 24. Gyorg's Remains 25. Zora Mask 26. Goron Mask 27. Um...but there are only 24 masks in Majora's Mask. o_0

If they made the game like that, then yeah, there should be a decent chance that the offspring of two shiny Pokémon would also be shiny. But, it's only a game, so I don't think they'd bother making it that complex. :cross: And G/S/C stands for Gold/Silver/Crystal.

*drools at the thought of another 2D Metroid game* Ohhh, yeeaaahhh...twelve hours of 2D Metroid action... Heh, I've just come off a Metroid Fusion high, having just beaten it a couple days ago and now searching out the missed Energy Tanks and Missile Expansions and whatnot. (You were right, Semjaza, I did enjoy it more once I got farther into it, though the SA-X still freaked me out whenever it'd pop out of a doorway or something and start chasing me. I'd always panic and just start shooting Ice Missiles and running blindly, and then I'd end up dying until the third or fourth try heh). So, yeah, I'm extremely excited about this game. The Metroid series, though I liked the games quite a bit before, are fast becoming some of my absolute favorites games. I really hope they show this game at E3. One thing I'm wondering about, though, is whether you'll actually get to play as Adam. If so, a cooperative mode where one person plays as Samus and the other as Adam could be interesting. Depends on how they do Adam's role, though, I guess.

I'm not positive, but I don't think being shiny makes any difference to the Pokémon's stats. I've never actually even seen a shiny Pokémon, let alone caught one, besides the red Gyarados that's always in the Lake of Rage in G/S/C. I'm a bit annoyed by that, since I've played my Gold version for around 100 hours. :twitch:
