1. If you think the title of this thread is weird, well, it's because the banner I'm showing off is weird. Generally the stuff I make late at night is weird, and this is no exception. So, take a look and tell me what you think:
2. OOC: I'm choosing the color deep pink for Eiko, okay? If anyone wants to change it, I don't really care, I just thought it fit decently while being different enough from the rest of the Tantalus colors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Oh merciful death, come to me!" Zidane said as he put a hand over his face. Hearing that, Sephiroth walked up to him and put and hand on his shoulder. "I can arrange that for you," he said with a smirk. Zidane jumped and quickly shuffled off back to the rest of the group as Sephiroth let out a small chuckle. Meanwhile, Cecil and Auron were discussing which combination they would use for the potion. "Hmm. . . ." Cecil paced back and forth a few steps before stopping. "Think of something?" Auron asked. "No, not yet, anyway. I'm just remembering the airship challenge, where there was a clue mixed in with the hints." "Ah, yes, it would probably be best to examine the instructions more carefully this time before running off." "The only thing I can think of, though, is that Aquamarines would seem to be related to water, which is related to frogs, which is what Cid has been turned into. That'd lead me to think you'd want more Dead Peppers, so that they'd be stronger than the Aquamarines in the potion." Cecil shrugged. "It's not much to go off of, but I suppose one guess is as good as the next." "It is a pretty loose link. Does anyone else have any ideas? How about you, Zidane? You had a hand in making the first potion, did you not?"
3. In all the shock and confusion, no one ever stopped to think why cake was always served at funerals...
4. When I read that, I think of you as the wind and me as the tree. :naughty: It's not half bad, though, I actually like it. And I can't say that about much peotry, heh.
5. Is it just me...or does she have two mouths? o_0
6. OOC: Cecil...drinking...they just don't match. I mean, he's a Paladin, a warrior of light. He's going to want to stay clear-minded... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "So what was that you were drinking back there?" Auron asked as they walked away from the tavern. "It looked clear. . . . Was it vodka?" Cecil chuckled, and then said, "Water. Paladins don't drink much," he said with a slight grin. "Clouds the mind, you know?" The group walked up to a cable car station, which had a sign out front. It read "THEATER DISTRICT - BUSINESS DISTRICT - INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT," with an arrow denoting their curent location in the Business District. Below that, it read, "LINDBLUM CASTLE: RESTRICTED ENTRY." "Heheh, maybe we should sneak into the castle," Zidane said. "Maybe we can catch a peek at what Cid is up to." "I'm not sure that would be wise," Sephiroth said catiously. "Hmm, yeah, we don't want to get disqualified or anything." "Aw, come on, guys! It'll be fun! He did tell us to explore." "Well, I have my doubts about it. What do you think, Auron? You're the new captain, you decide."
7. A shiny/shining Pokémon is a Pokémon that's a different color than it is normally. An example would be the red Gyarados that you find in the Lake of Rage in G/S/C. Shiny Pokémon aren't in R/B/Y, though, only G/S and later. You really need to get Gold, Silver, or Crystal version, lol. (Or Ruby/Sapphire if you have a GBA). I don't think I'd be able to go back to my old Yellow version after playing Gold for so long. :twitch:
8. Well, it depends somewhat on which starter Pokémon you chose. If you chose Bulbasaur you'll have a much easier time beating Misty, and as such, not need to be as high a level as if you chose Squirtle or (especially) Charmander. Any easy way to find out if you need to level up, though, is to just battle Misty once. If you lose horribly, that means you need to go up a couple levels. If you almost beat her, just try again a few times until you manage to beat her. (If you lose, you can just reset your game so that you don't lose half your money).
9. Whee, okay. I guess I could have done that too, since I have two OOT guides (three, actually, they gave me a duplicate of one with the bonus disc, lol), but I never thought of checking my answer. :cross: Anyway... Question: In The Wind Waker, what do blue ChuChus always give you in addition to or instead of a piece of blue Chu Jelly when you kill them?
10. About the banner being pixelated, well, there's not much that can be done about that. I mean, it is an old (and I mean old, one of the earliest ones) SNES game, so it's going to be pixelated. Especially since I had to make everything a little bigger to fit the banner. So, yeah, there is no way to "make it clearer" or anything. I could have resized the sprites differently so that they ended up really fuzzy innstead of pixelated, but trust me, that looks way worse. To really appreciate the banner, though, I suppose you'd have to have played FFIV (US FFII) at least up to the point where Cecil becomes a paladin. Since, well, the scene in the banner is taken almost directly from that part in the game. So yeah, if you haven't played FFIV up to that point, you probably won't really know what's going on it in. And what's going on there is pretty much the main point of the banner. :cross:
11. One of my brothers owns most, if not all, of the series, but I've only seen the first and last DVD. (And maybe a couple from the second disc, not sure). So, yeah, I was a bit lost for the last disc, but I caught on to the story pretty quickly. Almost all of the episodes I've seen have been absolutely hilarious, though. I'm going to have to watch the rest of the episodes some time. If only I had a DVD player in my room... And yes, I watched the last episode, too. The worst part had to be in that hotel place, or whatever that was, with the old ugly couples in bed. That was just. . . . Disturbing and disgusting are the only words that come to mind. >_
12. Heheh, that's exactly how I felt when I first got it. By the time I got through the second dungeon, I was totally amazed by how good the dungeon design was, and after I beat the second dungeon I was again amazed by just how vast the overworld is. (Since it lets you sail anywhere after you beat the second dungeon). As for the help in OOT, it'd probably go better in a separate thread (since this one is about TWW), but I think I can help you out really quick in here. If you've just gotten into Goron Village, the first thing to do is to play Zelda's Lullably on the carpet down on the lowest level. That'll open the door to Darunia's room, letting you talk to him. If you need any more help, it'd be nice if you could start a new thread or just PM me, though. :)
13. My brother has Othello, and I've played it. There, you're putting the pieces in the squares, though, and not on the intersection of the lines. And to capture your opponent's pieces, you just have to put two of your pieces on either end of a line of theirs. (Straight and diagonally, I think). With this game, you have to completely surround your opponent's pieces. Also, pieces in Othello are never removed from the board, you just play until the entire board is filled up. (Meaning pieces can be captured, recaptured, captured again, and so on). From reading the basic rules of Go, it sounds like you remove any captured pieces and you just play until you run out of pieces to place. So, it's similar, but not quite the same. It sounds just as fun, though. I might have to try it out some time.
14.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve Who are you to judge what is right or wrong. I don't see God stamped on your forehead, or anyone elses for that matter.
Um, she was only stating her opinion. That is what this thread is about, stating your opinion on the subject. I don't think you need to jump down her throat just because she stated it a bit strongly. :wigout: Personally, I wouldn't go out with/marry a cousin whether she's second, third, or whatever. That's getting just a little too close to incest for me. :cross:
15. Well, I decided to go with a Cecil-themed sig, along with the avatar, so that meant making a banner. Here's what I came up with: It goes with the bit talking about Cecil in the Legend of Mysidia. Specifically, it fits directly into it, as seen in my sig. So, any good?
16. In the second movie, didn't Misty also refer to Ash as her boyfriend, late in the movie? That kind of caught my eye, since there isn't really much to suggest something between the two in the first season. (I've only seen a few episodes of the second and third, and none from anything beyond that).
17. Hmm, guess I'll give this a shot. Been a few months since I did that on Master Quest, but I think I can remember. (And by the way, the shooting gallery in Kakariko Village, when you're old, doesn't have a set pattern. And the horseback archery game by the Gerudo Fortress doesn't use Rupees as targets). Answer: First a green Rupees pops up in the center. Then a blue Rupees pops out from the side, followed by another one from the opposite side. (I forget which side is first). After that, a green Rupees comes up and out from the center, and then falls back down in. Then two more blue Rupees come out from either side, this time both at once. After that, two red Rupees come out from the right side, moving along side by side over to the left side where they disappear. Then the same thing happens again, with two more red Rupees, only they go from left to right. So, am I right?
18. That's the thing, though; Ganon wouldn't try to make it into some sci-fi world. Sure, burn, pillage and loot, spread nasty monsters through the world, but he wouldn't bother trying to really build anything like that. I mean, look at Zelda: A Link to the Past, in the Dark World. Ganon ruled that for a long, long time and he was perfectly happy to leave the land in ruins. In the end, Ganon has always been after absolute power and control, not some sort of empire.
19. OOC: Sorry, sorry, sorry! Been busy, haven't been on for a couple days, been busy with my mom's birthday. I sent in my vote, though, and I'll be posting again after this. (If I'm still here after the eviction, that is).
20. I agree with Semjaza, I really would hate to see that happen to a Zelda game. The Zelda series, from the start, has been a medieval fantasy type world. Turning it into a futuristic sci-fi type world just wouldn't fit the series at all. It'd be about like trying to take the Metroid series and turn it into something like Zelda. That is, it just wouldn't be possible without completely butchering the game.
21. Hey, not bad. I like how it's sort of faded, it makes it blend with the white background, along with the rough edges. And the small size is perfect, I think. It'd probably go best in the center of your signature, with no other text or anything in it, just the banner.
22.
Originally posted by Lady Asphyxia Legal drinking age is 18. He's probably a closet alcaholic, aren't you? ^.~
Lol, yeah, that's why he's always so "busy" anymore, heh. :p Well, for Adam, then, another year until he can legally go out and get roaring drunk. :whoops:
23. Woah. . . . Is it just me, or does she look mad? :nervous: Another beautiful pic, Sara. Wish I could do stuff like that. The dress looks really good (I love that kind of sleave, where it sort of opens up and hangs down at the end), except that it kind of looks a bit flat down towards the hem. A little more 2D-ish than the rest of the pic, I guess. Hard to describe. Still a wonderful picture, though.
24. Is it (from left to right), Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle? I know Charmander is on the left, and I think Squirtle is on the right, so. . . .
25.
Originally posted by James Much. ^_^ Oh and uh...one word posts are against the rules. ^_^;;; Just thought I'd throw that in. Once you've been rule-whipped a few times initially, you'll find that OB is a pretty easy place to live. Hehe
*starts singing along to the Rawhide theme* YAH! *cracks the rule-whip* :naughty: Heheh, and if you have a banner/avatar that's too big or you want a new one, you can ask in the Banner/Avatar Request forum. There's usually always someone willing to make a banner/avatar, or just to resize one.
