o_0 ...Alright, that avatar is going in the Evil folder in my Zelda directory. :cross: As for the banner, I think it's pretty good. Weird and silly, much like what I've seen of the game, heh. The color scheme is pretty good. I also think it would look a bit better if the text was a little wider and filled up more of the empty blue space, though.

Nope. And A Link to the Past has 24 Heart Container Pieces, by the way. Try again. :) Oh yeah, and welcome to OtakuBoards. I like the screen name, heh. :whoops:

Aswer: Romani calls them aliens, and the Bombers' Notebook calls them ghosts, I believe. Question: Which Zelda game has the most Heart Container Pieces in it, and how many is it?

I think the ultimate secret characters would be Link and Tetra from TWW in a King of Red Lions kart. ^_^ ...But I kinda doubt anything like that'll be in it. It is Mario Kart, after all. I think putting in characters from other game series would kind of spoil that "Mario" feeling that the past games have all had.

Yep, both Zelda one and two have oceans. Ask away, Ginny.

I think I like the original sketch more than the finished version, heh. I usually like black and white sketches more than colored in versions, though, so that's just me. I think the hair looks better in the finished version, though. Cute. ^_^

OOC: Um, to get a green Chocobo, you breed a good and a great, same as for the blue. If you breed a blue and a great/good, you'll just get a normal Chocobo. Oh, and also, I actually typed this out earlier today, before Ginny's post, but then the server messed up and I didn't get to post it until now. So, um, this one goes before Ginny's post, heh. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After a few hours of waiting and playing with the two little Chocobos, in which time they had grown as big as the others, the team decided to try mating them. "Amazing how fast they grow," Cecil said and he led Reald to a stable. At the same time, Freya was leading Saffa towards the same stable, Carob Nut in hand. "Yeah, seems like just earlier today they were babies," said Zidane. The rest of the group turned and stared at him. "What?!" "It was just earlier today that they were babies," Freya said as she tossed the Carob Nut into the stable and closed the door. "Remember? You were there." "Heh heh...oh yeah," Zidane said with a slightly embarrassed grin on his face. "So how long does it take?" Cecil asked. "I wasn't here for the first two." "Only a couple minutes. Then we'll have another chick to play with." "Yes, and we all know how much fun that is," growled Sephiroth. The rest of the group just laughed and continued waiting for Reald and Saffa to finish up their "business."

Nope, no ocean in OOT. Just Lake Hylia.

You're missing two, actually. Try again. :)

Okay, here goes... Question: Which Zelda games have oceans in them?
-
OOC: Thanks, Ginny. I like the new animation a lot more. (Took me about 45 minutes instead of about 10 minutes like the first one). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cecil cruised along the calm waves of the ocean, heading north toward goblin island. He circled the small island once, looking it over, and then set the ship down near a forested area in the center of the island. Looking around the open area, he didn't see anything but grass and beach, so he headed into the forest. After walking for a few minutes, he stopped and looked around. A few beams of light were shining down through the canopy of trees, providing a little light, but other than that is was pretty dark. Well, where do I get a Zeio Nut? he thought as he looked around. I had to get the Carob Nuts from an enemy, but I don't see any enemies around here. Suddenly, Cecil was thrown forward onto the ground by a small but powerful impact. Quickly jumping up and drawing his sword, he slashed back towards where the blow had come from as he turned around. There stood a little brown goblin with what looked like boxing gloves on. "Come here, you little squirt," said Cecil and dashed towards the monster. The goblin turned and ran away, making a noise that Cecil could have sworn was laughing. "Oh, that's it," he said. "Haste!" yelled Cecil, and a white glowed played across him for about a second. After that, he started running twice as quick, and he quickly overtook the goblin. PUNT! Cecil kicked the goblin as he ran up to it, sending it flying straight into a tree. It slid down to the ground, unconscious. Skidding to a halt in front of the tree, having to remember to move "slowly" while Haste was in effect, he searched the fallen goblin. "Ah ha, Zeio Nuts," head said with a triumphant grin, and tucked a few away in pocket before heading back to the airship. "Ah, you're back," Auron said as Cecil jumped down from the airship in front of the Chocobo Ranch. "Did you get the nuts?" "Yes, I did," Cecil said as he handed the Zeio Nuts to Auron. "Good, come on inside. We've got two new Chocobos." The two of them walked into the barn, and Cecil immediately walked over to the two new Chocobos. "Heheh, cute," he said as he stroked their necks. "Did you guys name them yet?" "The blue one is Saffa, and the green one is Reald." The two chicks made little warking sounds when their names were spoken, and Cecil chuckled. "Looks like they already know their names."

OOC: *cough* You still need to update my Cecil gif on the site, Ginny. I posted a new one (new animation for it) in the thread in Sprite Central. ^_^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Good race, eh?" Cecil said to Auron. "Hmph," he replied, and glared at the Chocobo that he had been riding. "We won, though." "Barely. I'm surprised Zidane pulled that off." "Hah, guess I'm just a natural." At this remark, the whole group rolled their eyes. "What?!" "Nothing," replied Cecil, trying not to laugh. "Lets just get these birds back to the Chocobo Ranch so we can start breeding." "Yes, we haven't got any time to lose." All five of them quickly strode back to the Cargo Ship, leading their birds behind, and Cecil lifted off from the Gold Saucer heading east. Zidane came up on deck and stood next to Cecil as he flew the ship. "Clunky old thing, isn't she?" "Yeah, but at least she still flies." "Hey, can I fly for a bit?" "We're already headed straight for the Chocobo Ranch, not much to do besides hold the wheel steady and keep an eye on things." "Oh come on," Zidane pleaded. "Oh, fine," Cecil said, and stepped to the side as Zidane took hold of the wheel. Just in case, though, Cecil stuck his left boot down in between two of the handles on the wheel near the deck to prevent Zidane from making any hard turns. "Having fun, then?" "It'd be more fun if the wheel wasn't locked in place." Cecil chuckled, and removed his boot. "Fine, you can fly the rest of the way to the Chocobo Ranch. Just try not to hit the barn when you land." "Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's not like I've never flown before." Cecil just shook his head and climbed down to the cargo hold where the Chocobos were being kept. He walked over to the Chocobo he had nicknamed Rosa, the Good female that he had ridden in the race, and stroked her neck. "I thought you were supposed to be flying," Auron said when he noticed Cecil. "Yeah, I--" Cecil was cut off by Freya, who interjected with, "You didn't let Zidane fly, did you?" "Oh, come on, how bad could it be? We're on a straight course for the Chocobo Ranch." Freya sighed and muttered, "Probably not for long, though." As it turned out, Zidane did actually just continue on with the set course, and he made a safe landing at the Chocobo Ranch. After the first pair of birds were let out into the stables, to be gotten ready to breed, Cecil climbed back aboard the Cargo Ship. "Where are you off to?" asked Auron. "Off to get a Zeio Nut or two. I only got Carob Nuts before." "Ah, I see. We need a Zeio Nut to breed a Gold Chocobo from a Black and a Wonderful." "Yeah, I won't be gone long. Breed some good Chocobos with the Carob Nuts while I'm gone," he said, and prepared the airship for takeoff.

If you could choose only one new BIG feature for OtakuBoards, what would it be? Midi themes in our profiles. I was disappointed when that never happened. If you could only add one new forum to OtakuBoards, what would it be? Somewhere where I can badmouth people behind their backs... Oh, wait, we already have a staff forum. ;) Would you like to see a closer link between OtakuBoards and sister site, theOtaku.com? Sure, why not? That could be interesting. Would you like to see OtakuBoards open an affiliation program with other message boards? As long as it doesn't result in me having to deal with a bunch of new members spamming my forums, I don't care all that much. Other than the board on Zelda.com, I don't really go anywhere but here at all often. Do you feel that theOtaku.com's chat system should be linked to OtakuBoards? I never use the chatroom, so I don't really know. As long as you don't make me mod any of the chats, though, I don't think I'd care. :cross: Are you satisfied with the level of spam control on OtakuBoards? I think we do a pretty good job. I always deal with anything I see as spam right away in my forums. At the same time I try not to be overly strict, though. If you could access OtakuBoards on a handlheld device (PDA, Generation 3 Mobile Phone, etc), would you access it regularly in this way? If I had something that would let me do that, I'd definitely come on here during breaks between classes (usually lunch time), and maybe a few other times. I probably wouldn't post much that way, since typing would be a bit of a pain, but I'd check up on the latest posts. Is it more important to have a large variety of skins, or smaller (and higher quality) range of skins? I'd prefer a lower number of high quality skins. Would you prefer to have anime/gaming-themed skins or completely original works? Just give me and Zelda skin and I probably won't ever use anything else again, heh. ^_^ Do you actively engage Moderators and Category Moderators if you are having problems on OB? Sometimes if I'm not sure about whether something is considered to be breaking a rule or not, I'll get someone else's opinion if there are other mods on. Are you satisfied with OtakuBoards' child protection policies? Pretty much, yes. Seeing as the worst that I use on here is "damn" (and I rarely even use that), though, I wouldn't mind seeing some more words censored. I don't think it's all that important, but I wouldn't mind.
Originally posted by Crimson Spider What is LAN. Does that mean it's online. I hope it is because not everyone has a friend that they can play the game with.
LAN stands for Local Area Network, which means hooking two or more sytems together. So no, it isn't the same as online play, but it means more than four players if you've got two GCNs and two TVs. Hmm, this looks pretty good. I just hope they keep the in-cockpit view that they had in Rogue Leader. I much prefer that over a third-person view for flight sims. That, and the targeting computer in Rogue Leader was really cool. Another thing I like is multiplayer. I hope they have co-operative, counter-operative, and deathmatch. It'd be really fun to fly as TIEs against a friend that's trying to complete a mission.

OOC: Yeah, what Sakuramon said is right. Sephiroth is over by Mideel, trying to catch a Great Chocobo. After he does that, Cecil will come pick him up and take him over to the Gold Saucer area to get a Good Chocobo. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As Cecil landed the Cargo Ship next to Freya, sitting on her captured Chocobo and looking more than a bit annoyed with the beast, he opened the cargo bay door and Freya rode in. "Looks like you had fun," he said as Freya climbed up onto the deck after securing the Chocobo in the hold. Freya eyed him for a moment, and then said, "You're lucky, all you have to do is fly the ship. What did you do while I was getting the Wonderful Chocobo?" "I got some greens, dropped Sephiroth off around Mideel, dropped off your two Chocobos at the Gold Saucer along with the greens, and then went and got a few Carob Nuts." "Good. Once Sephiroth catches his, we'll have all of them that we need." "Yes, and that means less trips back and forth to pick people up and drop them off," Cecil said as he lifted off again. "I'm starting to feel like a chauffeur." "Onward, pilot," Freya remarked with a smirk. "Ha ha, very funny," he said as he headed south once again to pick up Sephiroth, a wry grin on his face. At least he was getting to fly more often.

OOC: Well, since the plan got changed a bit, I figured you could just get a Wonderful Chocobo now instead of waiting to get one later, since you already got a Good and a Great. So yeah, you're looking for a Wonderful Chocobo around in the Icicle Inn area. (Not in Icicle Inn itself, but just in the area around it).

Answer: I think you can either get it from the Target Carts game, or the Shooting Gallery game, both on the eastern side of Rolling Ridge. (One in the past, the other in the present, in the same cave I think). Not sure, so I'll wait to ask a question.

Answer: The Varia Suit is found in Sector 6 (NOC), and you get it from defeating a giant Core-X boss. The Gravity Suit is found in Sector 5 (ARC), and you get it from defeating the Nightmare. Those are the only two suits in Fusion that I know of, besides the Fusion Suit, which you start with. I haven't beaten it yet, though, so I don't know for sure. Question: In Metroid Fusion, a Super Missile is how many times stronger than a normal Missile?

OOC: Yeah, that sounds good, Tasis. And having some Chocobos to carry around on our airships could come in handy, too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Yeah, I'll get the nuts on the way back to picking up the Chocobos after Zidane races them or something. Now we head over to the Chocobo Sage to get Sylkis Greens for your Chocobos. I'll drop you off near Icicle Inn on the way, so you can search for a Wonderful Chocobo." With that, Cecil lifted off from Rocket Town, and headed north. It seemed like ages since he had flown an airship, and he was enjoying himself immensely... Even if he was only flying a slow, unwieldy Cargo Ship. "Right, here we are," he said, and hovered the ship just above the snowy landscape where a few Chocobo tracks could be seen. "I'll pick you up after I drop off Sephiroth and these Chocobos." "I'll be waiting," said Freya, and she jumped down to the white, powdery landscape. Flying over to the Chocobo Sages' house, Cecil set the ship down and walked up to the door. He gave a small knock and then entered. Quickly purchasing as many Sylkis Greens as he could with the money left from the Gold Saucer, he hurried back to the airship without much talking. The group had already learned everything they needed to know from Cid, so he didn't see the need to hear the same thing from the Chocobo Sage. Climbing back aboard the airship, he said, "Now your turn, Sephiroth. Where to?" "I'll go to Mideel first." "Right, off we go," he said as he lifted off and headed south to Mideel. After dropping Sephiroth off to catch another Great Chocobo, Cecil headed back to the Gold Saucer to drop off the two Chocobos for racing, along with the greens. He found Zidane waiting for him, and quickly unloaded the Chocobos. "Have fun while I was gone?" "Oh yeah. I won us 1,000 Gil." "Good work. Now you'll get to race the Chocobos instead of just betting on them. Be sure to feed them some greens before racing, though, otherwise you won't stand a chance." "Yeah, yeah, I'll feed them right away." "Good," said Cecil, and he departed. First he headed to the area just south of Bone Village to get a few Carob Nuts, and then he headed back to the Icicle Inn area to see if Freya had gotten a Wonderful Chocobo yet.
Originally posted by Sara I like your first, better. The three faces in the seond make it look too cut-and-paste. Do you understand what I mean, or am I making no sense?
Yeah, that's what I thought, too. It just looks like three pics of Link were slapped onto a background and some text added. Not much depth to it. Also, the "Link: Hero of Winds" text is a bit plain, and it doesn't go very well up top with the other text. Try using a different font, and putting it down in the bottom-right corner instead of the top-right. (You may also need to move the Link pics up a bit if you move the text down). And you should almost always put a border on, too. It's amazing how much better a banner can look just by adding a black, one-pixel wide border around the edge.

Um, just wanted to mention this: It's impossible to breed a Gold Chocobo with only three stables; you need at least four. See, you breed a Good and a Great for a Blue. That takes up all three stables, so once you get the Blue, you release the Good and the Great. You get another pair of Good and Great Chocobos to breed for a Green Chocobo (in this case, anyway--you can use the same pair to get both the Blue and the Green in the game), but having the Good, Great, and Green Chocobos fills up all three of your stables so that you can't breed. You'd have to let the Green go in order to breed for a Blue, but then you wouldn't be able to breed the Blue and Green together to get a Black. So, yeah, I think we should just say that each team gets four stables, even if you only get six total in the game.

Wow, this looks really cool. The two-man kart idea looks like it'll be really fun, as will having character-specific items. I can't wait to see how they use those in battle mode.

Cecil read his piece of paper, and then looked up at the rest of the party. "Okay, so let me get this straight... I'm going to catch a Great male and a Good female to breed a Blue Chocobo, Freya is going to catch a Great female and a Good male to breed a Green Chocobo, Zidane is going to stay at the Gold Saucer to race the Chocobos, and then Auron is going to stay here at the Chocobo Ranch to take care of the Chocobos after they've been raced. That would leave Sephiroth to go get the nuts, and Sylkis Greens from the Chocobo Sage." "Yes, that sounds right," said Auron. "Wait, though. If I'm piloting the airship, wouldn't it make more sense to have me go get the nuts and greens?" "How so?" "Well, if I'm piloting the airship, it'll have to stay with me. I'd have to drop off Zidane at the Gold Saucer, then ferry Freya and Sephiroth around to the different locations that they'd need to get the Chocobos, nuts, and greens. That wouldn't leave me much time in between to catch two Chocobos of my own. If I get the nuts and greens, however, I can drop everyone off at their first destination and then go get some greens. Then I'd come back around, pick up Freya and Sephiroth, drop them off at their next destination, and take the Chocobos and greens to Zidane at the Gold Saucer. After that I could go get the nuts that we need, pick up Sephiroth, Freya, and their next pair of Chocobos, and take them to the Gold Saucer. We'd drop off the new Chocobos, pick up the ones that had already been raced, and then take them back to the Chocobo Ranch to be bred. Then I'd drop Freya and/or Sephiroth off to catch a Wonderful Chocobo, go get a Zeio Nut, and then pick up Zidane and the second pair of Chocobos at the Gold Saucer to drop off at the Chocobo Ranch. While they're breeding those, and then the Blue and Green Chocobos to get a Black one, I'd head back over to pick up Freya and Sephiroth with the Wonderful Chocobo. We'd all head back to the Chocobo Ranch, breed the Wonderful Chocobo with the Black one, if we've gotten a Black one by then, and that's it." "Wow," said Zidane, "that's quite a plan." "It could work, though. It has very little wasted time involved." "Well, if we want to win, we're going to have to be efficient. Especially since Avalanche has a speed advantage over us with the Ragnarok." "Yes, that will make it difficult indeed." "Okay, so are we going with this plan, then? I guess Zidane gets to decide, since he's the team captain."
Originally posted by GinnyLyn I do believe that, in order for an image hosted off site to show, it needs to be a .gif. I've had this problem myself.
Hmm, no, images don't have to be gifs to be able to be used here on OB. All five of my Wind Waker banners are jpgs, and they work fine. It's probably something about the host. Good banner, though, that's one of my favorite pics of Link. (Where'd you find it, by the way? I haven't been able to find a full version of that pic, just part of it). I also think it'd look better if the pic were moved up a little, but it still looks good as it is. I always save a copy of the banners in psp format (Paint Shop Pro's file format), though, in addition to a jpg or gif copy with everything flattened. That way I can go back and make little changes like that, and then just save it as a jpg/gif again.

Heh, it is really good, I like it. (Yes, I'm only just now getting around to posting in here, lol). The FF text and dragon fits in there perfectly. And by the way, you need to put the updated Cecil gif on the site in place of the old one. ^_^
