Hmm, lets see if I can remember them all... Answer: White Apricorns get you Fast Balls, which work well for capturing Pokémon with a high speed stat. Black Apricorns get you Heavy Balls, which work well for capturing Pokémon that weigh a lot. Blue Apricorns get you Lure Balls, which work well for capturing Pokémon that you hook with a rod. Green Apricorns get you Friend Balls, which make a Pokémon friendly towards you when you first capture it. Yellow Apricorns get you Moon Balls, which work well for capturing Pokémon that evolve using a Moon Stone. Pink Apricorns get you Love Balls, which work well for capturing Pokémon that are of the opposite sex of the Pokémon that you're currently using. I'm pretty sure that's right. Been quite a while since I played my copy of Gold, and I'm doing this completely from memory.

Mei got it right, you sprinkle some Magic Powder on them. It kind of makes sense if you think about it, since the Magic Powder is used for lighting torches and stuff in LA. It'd burn the bandages off the Gibdos, so that only their skeleton would be left, and Stalfos Knights are just skeletons.

Actually, in the original instruction booklet art for The Legend of Zelda, both Link and Zelda have brown hair. I have no idea why they made Zelda have blonde hair in the cartoon, though. It just looks wrong, especially after seeing her with brown or golden-brown hair in every other game besides The Wind Waker. (I actually just realized she has blonde hair in the TWW and that it actually looks good). Personally, I think the best episode of the cartoons is "Doppleganger." Gannon makes a sort of evil clone of Princess Zelda, which results in one of the best parts in the whole series, I think. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Link: Hmm, there's only one way to tell which is the real Zelda... A kissing contest! *fake Zelda kisses Link* Link: Okay, your turn! *the real Zelda slaps Link* Link: Yep, she's for real. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Or something like that, anyway, it has been a while since I watched them. I think I watched them shortly before I joined OB, and have never watched them again. :cross:
Originally posted by GinnyLyn Let us never rate each other again. :bluesweat
I give that suggestion a perfect 10. :whoops: But yeah, thanks for clearing that up, James. I've heard all sorts of different things from lots of different people, and I wasn't sure what actually happened.

Right, instead of making a separate thread for each one that I make (I don't know how many there will be), I'm just going to use this thread to post them in. So, here are the ones I've made so far: The first one I've had in my sig for quite a while and the second one I posted in another thread, but the second to last one I just made. I don't like it quite as much as the forest one, but I still think it's pretty good.

Was it? Bleh, too many questions to keep track of. :cross: Answer: A Dragon. (Whenever I've played through that part, it always kills Cloud with a Flamethrower attack and then Sephiroth has to use Life 2 on him, lol). Question: In FFVII, can you use Knights of the Round with Quadra-Magic? If so, how, and if not, why?
-
Answer: Nayru's Pearl is on top, Din's Pearl is on the left, and Farore's Pearl is on the right. :D Question: In Link's Awakening, how can you turn a Gibdo into a Stalfos Knight?

Answer: First are Wizrobes, which started out as normal enemies and then became mini-bosses in Majora's Mask. Next are Dodongos, which were bosses (and mini-bosses) in the original Zelda and were then made into normal enemies in OOT (and also in MM). You know, I have a feeling there's also another one for the second part of the question, but I can't think of it at the moment... Question: In which Zelda games does the combined form of Twinrova appear?
-
Yeah, I haven't played more than the beginning of FFV, so I have no idea what it's called. But anyway... Question: In FFIV, why can't you have Tellah use the spell Meteo, even after he learns it?

Uh, yeah, I think it's generally agreed upon that Bugsy is a guy. I don't see any reason to keep this open, though, if it's just going to have people posting the same thing in it over and over again. Thread Closed

They're called Keese in every game but Majora's Mask, except possibly Zelda II, also, not sure on that one. (Yes, also in TWW, too. In the latest issue of Nintendo Power they have a walkthrough of the first two dungeons, and they call them Keese). The name "Bad Bat" wasn't used until Majora's Mask, though, so they wouldn't be called that in Zelda II if they're not called Keese. Keese and Bad Bats are pretty much exactly the same, though. The Hyrule Encyclopedia on Zelda.com descibes them as, "Similar to Hyrulian Keese..." so they're pretty much just Termina's version of Keese. (Not to mention that they look and act exactly the same as the Keese in OOT). So really, the answer could be either Keese or Bad Bats, since they're pretty much the same. I think Eterah's Maverick got the question, since he actually mentioned both, even if he got which are from which games mixed up. (After all, that wasn't part of the question).

Heh, yeah, they are pretty bad. I've seen all of them that were made (I think), and the best part of watching them is laughing at how bad they are. Oh, and here's a .wav file of the "excuuuuuse me, princess" line. :toothy:

Heheh, I like it. Not the best drawing, but it is just a sketch, and it looks like an AC character. (And like Mitch, probably better than anything I'll ever end up doing). Is there an actual turkey shirt in the game, though? (That is a turkey, right?)

Hmm, I'm not sure on this, but I'll give it a shot. Is it...FFV, FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, and FFX? (If you include the Atma Weapon from FFVI, that is). Am I right? I've heard there's a Weapon in FFV, but I'm not sure. Same with FFVIII.
Originally posted by MaRk Are nintendo going to make a pokemon statium for gamecube so i can play my pokemon ruby on there?
They most likely will. Check out this thread for more talk of a GCN Pokémon game. Personally, though, I'd rather have a full, 3D RPG than just another stadium game.

Well, green just happens to be one of my favorite colors. :p And yeah, it's kind of supposed to blend in. It's dark, like Forest Haven. The first thing that you notice in Forest Haven (at least the first thing I noticed), though, are the fireflies, which give off a goldish colored light. The text is about the same gold color, and it stands out (being brighter than the rest of the banner), so you'll probably notice it before anything else. After you see the fireflies, though, you start to look around and you notice all the other stuff in the forest. I made it so it's kind of the same thing with the banner. First you see the text, and then you look at the rest of the banner and see the characters.

There, I moved the thread. :) Nice banner. I think it needs more of a background, though, and you should try and get rid of the white around the two pics of Link so that they blend with the background better. Also, I think a different font/color for the text would help a little. Not bad, though it would have to be resized if you wanted to use it here on OB.
Originally posted by Medra And is it me, or are my old posts annoyingly newbies-ish?
*tries to resist the urge to bring up the Padded Room* :p I joined just about a month after v3 started, so I don't know about v1 or v2. Also, I think that I originally posted that I liked v3 best, but now I think v4 was my favorite. I think it had the best skin (besides the current default v6 skin), there was still a good amount of activity in the Zelda and Nintendo forums, and I became a mod at the start of v4, also. It was really fun just starting out as a mod. It doesn't seem quite as special anymore, for some reason. :cross:

Dangit, I know everything for that question except what happens to them in FFVIII. -_- ...Maybe I'll ask one of my friends, since he's played all the way through FFVIII. Edit: Right, Mei helped me with the FFVIII thing, so she deserves some credit. :) Answer: The names Biggs and Wedge are from Star Wars: A New Hope. In FFVI, they're two imperial soldiers that go with Terra to Narshe, to find the Esper Tritoch. They end up getting killed by the Esper. In FFVII, they're members of the group AVALANCHE, and they end up getting killed when Shinra drops the Sector 7 plate down onto the Sector 7 slums. In FFVIII, they're two Galbadian soldiers that you fight throughout the game. They eventually just give up, though. Question: In FFIX, what does Blank give you just before he gets petrified along with the rest of the woods?

Hmm, I've haven't actually played R/S yet, so I can't tell you about them specifically, but for the trading problem, I have a few suggestions. First, make sure that you're not trying to trade between R/S and an older version of Pokémon, because you can't trade between them. Second, make sure that the game link cable is firmly and securely plugged into the two GBAs' EXT. ports, and also make sure that there's no dust in the ports or on the cable plugs. Next, if you're not using an official Nintendo GBA Game Link Cable, try using one instead of a third party cable. If it still doesn't work after all that, I'd say there's probably something messed up with either your game, his/her game, or the game link cable.

Um, she wanted to know where you get it, too. If she lets you have it anyway, though, or if you edit in the rest of the answer, here's my answer to your question, along with a question of my own. :) Answer: Only one? Okay, um...I'll pick Ichiro. :toothy: (The thieves are called the Gerudo, by the way). Question: In OOT, what do the carpenters do after you free them all?

Answer: You can find Blue ChuChus on various islands, mostly the smaller ones. I know you can find them on most, if not all, of the Great Fairy islands, and a few others. Question: How many Blue Chu Jelly globs do you need to get a Blue Potion?
-
When you say "find," do you mean just mean how do you see it, or how do you actually enter it? I guess I'll answer both. Answer: To see it, you just have to be in the right place at the right time. It'll appear on specific squares when the moon is in a certain phase. The Fishmen will tell you to come back when the moon is in the right phase for that square. (Though it only appears on certain squares, so it has to be one of those). To actually get inside of the Ghost Ship, you have to get the Ghost Ship Chart out of a cave that's in an island towards the southwest corner of the map. I forget the name, but it looks kind of like a big ship. The chart will tell you where the Ghost Ship is, and then you pretty much just sail into it and you'll automatically go inside. Question: Before you get Bombs from the Pirates, how much do they cost in the bomb shop on Windfall Island? Edit: Hmm, looks like you beat me to it. If Semjaza takes your answer, I'll just answer your question, though. :) Edit 2: Right, Semjaza said he'll take it, so I'll answer your question, Ginny. Answer: I think it's supposed to be red, but the color on my TV has been a bit weird lately, so it looks reddish-orange for me. I'll say red, though. My previous question still stands.

Nope, I got my GCN on Christmas 2001, so the warrenty is long expired. If it came down to it, I would just pay the money, though. I don't think I'd be able to live without my GCN. :toothy: Well, last night I cleaned out all the dust in my system house and on the GCN itself, and wiped off the lens with a soft cloth very carefully. Then this morning, I played for about eight hours straight with no problem, so I'm hoping for the best.
